901  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to share development idea securely? on: July 20, 2015, 01:35:08 AM
You can PM me if you'd like to discuss. I have no need to steal anyone's ideas. Or you can just post your idea in the Project Development section and see what people get back to with. That's what I do. Maybe I'm too trusting but I don't think there are that many snakes here that would steal your idea, most people here are helpful and just want to see bitcoin succeed.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Balance with 215,000 BTC, what is this one about? on: July 20, 2015, 01:31:01 AM
Whether it's finex or wiki leaks or whoever at least they are keeping it secure in a multi-sig address. Not long ago all the largest addresses were in standard addresses, and now there are more and more multi-sig. Good to see.
903  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Faucet+Dice on: July 19, 2015, 08:50:33 PM
I would like to test your site please, thanks.

Anyone can register for an account free.  It should say "Creat an Account" underneath the login form.  Or you can goto http://btcthreads.com/register
904  Bitcoin / Project Development / Faucet+Dice on: July 19, 2015, 07:58:07 PM
I'm currently developing a faucet dice site that I'm making from scratch.
Faucets are ugly so I tried to work on that. There aren't any ads or captcha currently while in testing phase.
Does anyone want to test it out and let me know if they notice any bugs?
You can claim once ever 10 minutes, average payout per claim is 200 satoshi.
Although I'm testing, BTC balances accrued and payouts are real.

905  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Free Script] Untitled Dice - Run your own bitcoin dice site (no server needed) on: July 19, 2015, 04:46:56 PM
After installing this to my domain under the directory /dice it seems to have PERMANENTLY edited my server config.  Even after completely deleting the directory I installed this to it still redirects to moneypot.  I'd like to have my directory back for my own usage, what do I need to do to stop this auto-redirect?

SOLVED, it appears the issue was with my server and not this script. Since there is over 1,000 files it took longer to delete than my FTP manager lead me to believe.  Why does this app have over 1,000 files? Seems like a bit much for a site that just uses moneypot API. API is supposed to make things lightweight...
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: When will be confirmed Transaction 0 BTC Fee (Medium Priority) on: July 19, 2015, 04:31:15 PM
Why do people still send transactions with no fee? It's such a tiny amount of money, is it really worth the stress & worry, waiting for confirmations that might not even come.

Just pay the fee people, stop jamming up the network with junk.

I have no idea. I did it once when I was new to bitcoin and the transaction took almost a month to get confirmed, LOL. I sent like 0.00001 BTC with no fee, such a noob I was  Cheesy Cheesy

Anyways with some of the backed up transactions I created a confirmation notification tool. http://btcwidget.com/notify.php Paste in your transaction ID and it will play an alarm once your transaction has confirmed, that way you don't have to keep F5'ing blockchain.info or you could go do something else nearby and wait for the alarm to go off.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: change address for raw tx on: July 19, 2015, 04:27:00 PM
Thanks you, Any examples how to do it with p2sh address ?
I created address like this

createmultisig   <nrequired> <'["key,"key"]'>   Creates a multi-signature address and returns a json object

Shoud I add change output with creation raw tx?

Any correct examples ?

BR!
Exactly like knightdk stated you have specify one when creating the transaction.
Just add a comma after the destination address and enter in another address as your change address.

Code:
createrawtransaction '[{"txid":"","vout":}]' '{"1someBitcoinAddress45d1c5":0.001,"1myChangeAddress45d6c1":0.01}'

Here's a video I made on the subject as well https://youtu.be/YN2Vyu9RupU?t=7m30s
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Permabull Party Thread on: July 19, 2015, 03:54:59 PM
The bulls just went on vacation after that massive run. After that they need to recover from their hangover's and divorce their new hooker wives. Once all that is cleared away the bulls will be back for another. Things are just getting started.
909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a double top? on: July 19, 2015, 03:52:29 PM

The main reason why I am not sure it is a double top is because there have three months between each top.

My personal belief is that we are experiencing a double top which will start a bull bear trap followed by either a pump (pessimistic) or a bull market (optimistic) in September (Martin Armstrong predicted a financial crisis worse than 2008 and starting in Q4 2015).

This article goes to the same direction of a bull trap: that the recent events are misleading:
Quote
While it seems awareness of bitcoin has increased in [Greece], Liapi isn't convinced this is behind the recent increase in the price of bitcoin.

Thoughts?

Edit: typo (bull trap changed to bear trap)

How come your chart doesn't show us breaking $300? Was I dreaming last week when that happened? I say no it's not a double top since we broke the previous top by over $10. Things just need to retrace a little and settle down, it's healthier growth that way anyways. See y'all at $1200 Wink

911  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HTML Meta Tag for Bitcoin (donations) on: July 18, 2015, 12:55:19 AM
user can simply donate to the website by clicking on it (which will launch bitcoin client with pre-filled address).

See URI scheme, BIP 21:

Example:

Creating and parsing "bitcoin:" URI Strings:

This is the easiest part, which is fully-documented in BIP 21: URI Scheme.   Here a simple example of how you would include it (using my donation address, of course!)

Code:
<a href="bitcoin:1ArmoryXcfq7TnCSuZa9fQjRYwJ4bkRKfv?amount=1.0&label=Armory%20Donation%20Address&message=Donation%20to%20Armory">Donate 1.0 BTC to the Armory Project!</a>

...which looks like:  Donate 1.0 BTC to the Armory Project!

Yea but that's just a URI link to open someone's local wallet. Adding a metatag opens the doors to more possibilities and layers on top. Like OP stated browser extensions. In the distant future when bitcoin is widespread the metatag could be scrapped by google's robots and added to results. So if you search for "Brooklyn Cupcakes" you'll receive all the matches, plus they could use that metatag to indicate they accept bitcoin.

Brooklyn Designer Cakes
www.designercakes.net
We offer and makes amazing cakes for everybody, order today with Visa.

Matty's Magnificent Cakes
www.mmcakes.ny BTC
I make all my cakes by hand with natural ingredients. Come down and visit us and try our coffee. Free wifi!

Mastercard Cakes
www.mastercakes.us
We are really old and do things the old way. We only accept cash and mastercard. Newspapers also available for $1.25

In the above example Matty has the bitcoin metatag so he gets a little BTC by his search result.
912  Economy / Services / Re: BTCWIDGET.COM - Highly customizbable widgets for your website or blog on: July 18, 2015, 12:19:22 AM
Oh, you might want to add a check on http://btcwidget.com/notify.php to see if there was already 1 confirmation (or more) at the time the TXID was input.

Done. It will now alert the user if that transaction is already confirmed and if so it will not connect to the websocket.
913  Economy / Services / Re: BTCWIDGET.COM - Highly customizbable widgets for your website or blog on: July 17, 2015, 12:47:12 PM
UPDATE:
Added a custom bitcoin price chart widget. Custom colors and as always no backlinks so it will blend right into your site.

914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 17, 2015, 12:36:13 PM
Last bears are becoming bullish  Shocked

Holy crap, even DanV is posting bullish charts? I don't believe my eyes. Isn't he one of the ones that thought we were going down to double-digits not long ago?
915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: July 17, 2015, 12:33:50 PM
I really doubt that. Price went up because bitcoiners believed in grexit. It dropped when a solution showed up and it will fall more since a solution is there now. I dont see it going up now.

Though im not a pro trade.

A solution?? Throwing out the democratic vote of OXI to sign on to a terrible deal that caused riots in the streets is not really a solution. The greek people still don't have monetary freedom, and that's the issue. No grexit, no big deal; none of them will ever trust a bank again. They are all candidates to become bitcoiners.
916  Bitcoin / Project Development / Reverse Dice on: July 16, 2015, 12:46:53 AM
So I was thinking of putting a twist on the old fashioned bitcoin dice game.

a) The user/player puts up a "bankroll" (it doesn't have to be a lot)and they tell the house/server the min/max bet allowed.
b) The server/house will pick a bet amount, the probability and over/under. (this will be hidden)
c) Then each roll the user chooses the roll outcome manually 0-100.
d) Standard dice rules will determine the winner
e) b - d will repeat until the player decides to cash out or they go bankrupt

All of this would be provably fair of course.
What do you think of this idea. If I developed a game like this would you play it?

==========
EDIT 7/24/15

Here's a prototype I built that uses play/fake money

917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funds Bitsoko, promotes BTC literacy in Kenya on: July 15, 2015, 12:52:30 PM
Since he's only promoting it in Kenya it tells you he's being careful with putting himself out there. It completely makes sense though, with so many unbanked, it would benefit them greatly to have bitcoin literacy. You don't see him promoting BTC literacy in the USA, Canada or UK.
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every 3 days a block will take more than 1 hour to solve. Can anything be done? on: July 14, 2015, 12:31:51 PM
I've never really had an issue with confirmation times. OP's post is true that every so often there is that lull where it can take an hour to solve a block, but there are also those times where you will get 3 or 4 blocks solved in 10 minutes. So it goes both ways. At the finance company I work at, if the customer makes a deposit on a loan and then decides to back out we have to wait 7-10 days before we can refund their money since that's how long it takes the banks to process the check and find out if it's NSF or if there's a stop-pay. So the rare 1 hour block is still lightning fast.
919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: July 14, 2015, 02:20:39 AM
If this guy is right again we are now going for upper 300's  Grin

I think we're retracing first to 280 or something but yea, chessnut has been amazing lately

Good call there podyx!! You hit that one right on the money!
Do you have any other predictions you'd like to share?

Yep, very good call.

I am cautiously looking for this. Wave 3 was difficult to read because of what happened in china, so in retrospect where I counted the last primary it was probably past the crux, rather being wave iii of 3.

Nice to see that still overall you are bullish. I've been following this thread for a good while and it seems like you generally have the right idea of what's going to happen. $370? That's a good start for me!
920  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: EasyBalance : Get balance of list of bitcoin addresses on: July 14, 2015, 01:30:00 AM
I lol'ed at the hit counter, haven't seen one of those in ages Wink
But seriously great looking site man and I love how you did it all with jquery, I was expecting it was going to be PHP. I saw you use multiple sources to check the balance, can you explain more about that? Is that due to the request limits for querying their API?
