as increased hashrates drove my avalons into non-profitability over power costs...
Really? I mean, seriously? I can offer to take this burden of a business of you, free of charge if you wish!

All states, miaviator.
After checking into it this, it looks like we've never actually been served directly. We are investigating the issue further, but it explains why this is the first we've heard of it. We're still trying to figure out who they actually served (if anyone), but it apparently wasn't us. Unfortunately, the legal system moves a bit slow.
Don't you have to sign for this? Disclaimer: All my knowledge about the USA "serving system" comes from a movie called "Pineapple Express"

Cointerra should ship soon, so if you can wait a few days you might have proof of an existing, actually working device.

I'm sorry, I didn't know that they indeed promised full refund in BTC.
Anyways, it should have been clear from the beginning that this is a high risk investment, from any angle.

I am really wondering how it is possible that such a shit storm comes over hashfast which, honestly in terms of Bitcoin ASIC company is not late by sooo much. Hell, even BFL still has it's fan club. It's totally silent around Cointerra, compare that to what was going on here at the time when they went "officially late".
The facts speak for why there is a shit storm. You have read why people are upset right? You gambled, you lost. Fucking deal with it, live goes on. Preorders are so that the company can finance development and production of not-yet-existing devices. And that just doesn't go together with full-BTC-refunds. That should have been clear from the beginning. I'm just wondering: Coincraft thread: 33 pages, Cointerra thread: 64 pages, Hashfast thread: 352

Is there a real reason for wanting a refund now? Specs are not even released...

I guess it's sufficient to ban it for the masses. Smart individuals will arrange themselves with the system in China in a fortunate way.

I can't see the image the above user posted, but I'm guessing it's some sort of reference to the sexual preferences and proclivities of HashFast employees. I could be wrong though.
LOL! -------------- I sure hope they do not go all BFLAVALON style on those asking for legit refunds. I can't imagine if they are serious about developing this business longer term they would make that mistake. Are they not shipping anything yet? Don't put Avalon together in a word with the unspeakable company please. They have been fair to me and many others, including full BTC refunds.

This sort of thing is usually a pre-cursor to some bigger news.
Like what? China banning Bitcoin?

The FBI will not be selling on an exchange. Several people easily capable of buying all the coins have approached them with offers.
So the FBI will sell them to anyone who approaches them with an offer? Nonsense. I guess they have strict rules on how to sell seized stuff.

There have been several opportunities to get out of gox now, even without taking a haircut simply by cancelling your withdrawal and buying BTC / selling on another exchange.
I feel sorry for all the people who just found gox over google or similar and will get burned. For all the others I really have no understanding.
