901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 31, 2024, 09:56:56 PM
I don't agree if gambling is equated with altcoin investment. because altcoins still have clear programs and good management. different from gambling which only relies on the luck factor.
Or is it possible that the altcoin investment you mean here is investing in memecoin?
It's about the risk I guess that when you investi n altcoins then you're taking risk and most likely defined as gambling by people.

if there's actually a way to gamble without investing anything/ or maybe a way to invalidate the payment-on-winning option, I think that would prove better to us why people decide to invest in the first place.. meanwhile, don't always forget to recall in a hurry that GAMBLING IS A GAME OF LUCK.
That's the definition that we hear a lot that gambling is a game of luck and even there are games that you can analyze and do a research, that's still not going to be gone as something that people have to remember that when you gamble, you're also playing with your own luck.

As you have fun, you think of the possible profit that you are about to get if lucky for that day.
902  Other / Off-topic / Re: In money making! Like father like son? What do you think on: January 31, 2024, 09:24:13 PM
It varies as per experience of everyone. It can be a reality to most but a myth to some. You'd see that many will say that it is the reality for them and that's why they're treating their fathers as their heroes and I am one of them.

But those that don't have a good childhood and experience with their fathers, they don't want to be like that have bad experiences and left them hanging with their families.

So, it varies but we know the answer of most.
903  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always Make use of notepad app before posting on: January 31, 2024, 12:17:54 AM
This is very important and should be use first before making any post or commenting this help a lot in editing your post and replies.
Where and when did theymos make the law that everyone must first use a notepad to edit their posts before publishing in BTT?
It was just his personal opinion and probably he's applying that to himself.

Well, the writing pad itself as we reply is enough but if you want to be formal and perfect with your grammar then use all of those grammar check that have been mentioned.

And before you publish any post, make sure to check and re-read them. We're in an online forum so whether you're formal with your words or not, the thought and understanding are that counts.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 30, 2024, 11:30:02 PM
It is coming, the Golden State Warriors are looking for trades or any offers for Wiggins, CP3 and even Klay.

The first two are fine since Wiggins are really looking for a transfer and CP3 didn't stayed there for long. But for Klay? Okay, there is nothing he can do with it as it's always been Steph that they're eyeing for.

But we've seen some comments when Steph said if he's gonna be transferred, he'd like to do it with the Hornets.

Anyone could be traded, only Steph is safe with the Warriors. Wiggins name have been popping up in the last couple of months, Klay was reported didn't sign for the extension when he was offered so he might want to test the trade. Even Draymond is also being considered to be traded as well.

And we are nearing the trade deadline this February, so I wouldn't be surprised if any of those name are not going to be a Warrior mid February. If it involved their big 3 then the Golden State Warriors era are over and they will have to rebuilt around Curry next season, but it's going to be very tough.
Yeah, Steph will stay with the Warriors and he's got locked in contract IIRC. So, with the trades going on soon, we may see some familiar names going out of the Dub nation.

I can't imagine anyone wanting out for Charlotte.  They are continually a terrible franchise and can't seem to figure out.  Not that I'm for guys front running but why would you want the other side of your career be with a team that can't stay out of the lottery.  That's gotta be a lie.
Probably he's lying with that and even if I am at the peak of my career, I'd still want rings and will consider teammates that will help me out to get that and not with that team.
905  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buy on Amazon w/ BTC on: January 30, 2024, 10:59:05 PM
What other places can we use our bitcoin?
Bitrefill is what I can think of but you can't buy directly with Bitcoin through amazon and that's how this service is like.

You purchase gift cards that are available on your country as they detect you automatically what are the available goods and services to your geographical location.

Don't forget about the forum too, we've got goods section where you can buy everything there with btc.
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 30, 2024, 10:23:29 PM
as long as you stake on bet you have already risk your money, be it big or small.
Yes, it also means that you won't be winning or losing if you don't bet and that's why you have to bet for you to have that chance of winning.

But as for gamblers, it's best to just stake the money or risk with the amount that you have no problem of losing because that's how it goes. When you gamble with the amount of money that you afford to lose, you have no regrets with that even if you lose them.
907  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 30, 2024, 09:57:43 PM
Consistency is hard to maintain if you're a trader. Honestly, I am seeing a lot of trader influencers that have popped like mushrooms sharing their gains at most times.

But behind it, they are for sure have a lot of losses and their big gains are the ones that's being shared to their audiences. And I think with that, there's no one that can ever skip failing as they trade.

Embrace the process as it's part of your growth if ever you choose the path to grow as a trader.

You are making me remember of my friend that has the same reason for disposing and selling his bitcoin. The reason doesn't make sense. He has got bored as well and that led him to sell.

I think that was on 2018 and bored in a way that it was a bear market and prolly he lost hope by that time. A mistake that can no longer be corrected but can still recover somehow through accumulation.
Those that always sold their BTC during the bear season always have some regre to experience because, it was not their wish to sell their BTC at the moment but they don't have choice that to sell to solve issues at the moment but such people always have way to succeed to overcome such condition to be part of those that is hodling long these days.

Likewise what is happening right now in the market that is making some to start avoiding BTC investment because, since they join the hodling they never experience bull market over two years now but if they can endure before the end of this year 2024, it will help them to share a good story about their hodling.
It is a regrettable experience and many don't want to experience that again but my friend is different. The very reason that he's got for being bored with the market pushed him to sell and never went back again.

But as long as it had given him some help little financially during that time then that all that matters. And they still see the market as something expensive to get in.

While soon, it's gonna be more expensive if they don't catch up.
909  Other / Off-topic / Re: Money vs Education on: January 30, 2024, 08:55:11 PM
Poverty is the reason why people needs to get education. In most countries, you'll hear parents tell their children to have a good education so that in the future they'll have a good life.

But that's true.

You can compete with the world's poverty wherever you go when you're educated. And aside from that, there are the people that are good in hustling and that's how they deal with life and poverty.

Education isn't a scam, it's a necessity for us to not be fooled by anyone. Talk to the rich ones, and say that if education isn't needed then they pull out their children out of school.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 30, 2024, 08:23:37 PM
NA for Dota 2 has already have their representive for the ESL One and that's Shopify Rebellion, more arteezy games there.  Grin
It was another close series between them and Nouns.
Yeah but still Shopify Rebellion won.

Check out the roster of the Klim Sani4 and they're unknown folks but managed to get the slot and beat good teams like Virtus.Pro.
That team and VP could be the next third-best team in EEU ever since 9Pandas lost most of their players.
We'll get to see that since this is just like the start for them.

Going with the other regions, they're done except with South America as they're starting out as of typing this and the grand finals is with Heroic and Boom Esports. I just noticed that the beastcoast we used to know have already changed their roster.

Western Europe's representative for this qualifier is Tundra Esports, they've ended the match against OG with a class.  Grin

Mena is going to be with Team Falcons, no doubt with that.

And as for the Chinese region, it's going to be G2.IG.
911  Other / Off-topic / Re: I found a kitten on: January 30, 2024, 03:30:40 PM
Yes I will do, have to buy a litter box. But already I think she has some idea that she can't poop anywhere. She always seems to poop on the same door mat which is a good start at least I think.
I think give it to her so that she'll be familiarize that it's a sign of her territory.

Here is a photo:

Anyone have any idea regarding what breed she might be? I think she is something mixed possibly. Anyways going to take her to the vet later today and will find out  Smiley
Well, let the vet finds out as there are a lot of guess that's on my mind but I'll just wait for what the vet will say. She's cute and if she grows soon, she'll be more cute and lovable and adorable.

Please take good care of her.
912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: $35K or $45K next? on: January 29, 2024, 11:45:06 PM
Just to set my mind is to think that every price point is valid until we leave them for so long. So, $35k and even $30k is still in the radar if ever a huge plummet goes down.

While for the top, this time we might go close to $45k and even higher than that. For the sake of setting my emotion and heart, I'd expect any price that we might see here and there.
913  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crypto & Older Generation on: January 29, 2024, 11:19:48 PM
I may be one of the many older generations who enjoy change, I am never closed to change, I am waiting for that change, the proof is that I joined here with young people. Crypto is magical, defying all forms of traditional finance that have been held by the old generation. Even though my portfolio in crypto is not more than 15% of my assets, I enjoy the learning process in crypto, even though there is still a lot that I don't know, but I will learn it.
That's okay if your crypto assets are just around 15% for someone who's on that generation, it's already a lot considering that most of you are conservative and needs to be sure with where you're investing.

There is actually only one problem with the older generation, they always underestimate the generation below them. Yes but how else....
Well, we know it right.

Whenever that we've got some information or learnings that we share to the older generation, they always underestimate us as if they're always better than us. But many of them are open to new learnings and not that far, I am also gonna be part of the same generation and will be open to the new generation and changes too.

Thanks for all your prompt replies. I just wanted to give everyone an update. Sorry it wasn’t sooner, I have been a bit busy lately.
The kitten is doing really well, thanks to your suggestions. I initially gave her a bit of canned tuna in spring water which she was very happy to have. She has also taken a real liking to chicken which I give her raw. I haven’t given her milk yet. I read kittens need to have a special ‘cat’ milk and can’t really have cows milk. I still have to buy the formula for that. She is drinking plenty of water though. I was worried because she wasn’t going to the toilet, but last night she left a nice present on the welcome mat HAHA
Initially she was very scared and hiding in corners coming out only for food but now she is very playful as kittens are. I am going to take her to the vet tmw and see if she has been registered with an owner. If not I am planning to adopt her. I would never ever have imagined getting a pet but I am experiencing the joys of owning one right now and I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner… probably the money factor.  Grin
I have given her the name Misty. I will try and upload a photo of her later tonight. Thank you all.
Nice keep Misty and you'll be happy taking care of her. The joy of owning a kitten and as you see it grow is there because time flies so fast and the growth is so fast too.

Teach her and talk to her on where she should poop, they're intelligent and will remember that you don't like seeing her poop everywhere.

In Eastern Europe, the two representatives are already proclaimed. We'll see Team Spirit again together with Klim sani4.

Your surprise is actually more than enough as a gift and your friend will definitely appreciate. I think if you want something new, unique and memorable my suggestion is each of you in your circle write him a letter.

Regardless of how long the letter will be but each of you write him a letter of appreciation on how thankful you are and what he did to your lives.

IMHO, that will fill his heart with happiness.

I think thats why we shouldnt be impulsive in making decisions. But if the money actually help him, then it is not a loss after all. your friend can totally jump back into Bitcoin whenever he wants. Crypto's always open for a comeback.
Yeah, I knew that it had helped him but regret is there and he's never come back to this market. He told me that he would by this year because he's aware of halving and bull run.

But I don't know when he exactly DCAed or did he actually do it already or not. I wish him the best as well and told him that I am always here to support him but not financially.  Tongue

im happy that you are enjoying the tiny things and the little details.
Happy to talk to you!
I am happy talk to you a well.

Keep on making threads like this or make this thread alive and let's see some other stories and people that are dealing with the same thing or are also being hit by your post.

Truly I've taken those little details and you know what people are dealing with and I guess you've been there.

Yes. I did struggle with some emotional issues for like 3 years and i know how its the feeling. I hope people can come here and talk about it, and we can help.
Yeah, I hope so too.

It's because with these little conversations that we make, it can make a big impact to those that are actually struggling and don't have someone to talk to.

It all takes one to have a good feeling when he can't release any of these feelings because it's either that person is an introvert one and don't usually do it.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: January 29, 2024, 08:14:27 PM
Spending your winnings in gambling is another achievement. So aside from winning with that bets you make, if you're going to keep that money and spend into important things, you're an achiever and more than a winner.

Whilst the others keep on spending them back on casinos instead of stopping and going back in the next day, they're not going to stop unless the casino takes it back.

While I understand what OP had in mind I wouldn't call throwing my money away on electronics a responsible spending. It's like buying yourself a bigger phone because people no longer feel envy when you show your old one.
IMHO, that's fine as long as he gets the satisfaction of his money and it's from his profits.
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone Calls My Child's Name Bitcoin. on: January 29, 2024, 07:44:15 PM
Your child is in development process and whatever he's called now, he'll remember that and as you've said, he's used to it.

Do you think that it's fine for him to get used to it and be called like that? Have communication to everyone that calls the wrong name for your child.

You should practice to call him by his name because when the time that he's going to school, it's painful to hear some bullying words just because he's called that.
