Yeah, SA are really in a pitiable situation without the likes of Amla and ABD Undecided I think this match is going to be an easy win for ENG.
They are retired for good and South Africa need to find the right balance, i saw some performance in the warm up game but that did not happen in this match and Quinton de Kock is still in the crease and they are trying to build a partnership now along with Pretorius and hope they can bat for a longer period of time.

It was heartening to watch Steve Smith batting against a bowling attack comprised of world class bowlers such as Trent Boult at Melbourne. After a few below par scores against Pakistan, he seems to have regained form. On the other hand, New Zealand wasted such a great start. They got Joe Burns out in the first over, but then allowed the middle order batsmen to score runs freely.
Steve Smith always perform better when the team needs him and during the Pakistan series the openers were giving them a healthy start and Warner was in prime form throughout the series and Smith did not have a role to play and in this match the team needed him to perform and he did that exactly and i am really impressed with his subtle shuffles and finding the gaps easily and it was brilliant to watch.

England after winning the toss seems to be taken the right decision of bowling as they have taken 4 wickets of SA for score of 111. England would like to get them all out quickly so that they can take good lead in first innings itself .
South Africa is struggling as they lost 5 wickets for just 116 runs and Quinton de Kock is the only player who can rescue them from this position and i am not expecting South Africa to make a score above 250 runs as England is bowling really well and by the way things are going it will be an easy win for England but for that we need to see how the South African bowlers can trouble the English players.

Australia looking okay after stumps, i suppose. As usual Labuschagne and Smith are back to business.
Labuschagne was playing really well but it was an unfortunate dismisal as the ball hit his hands while leaving the ball and hit the stumps if not we would have seen another century from him and Steve Smith is closing into another century as he looks really settled for a long innings.

In other match, Eng opt to field first and it turns out it was sweet decision, Anderson already got the wicket of Elgar - First Ball of the series-  Grin
Both the South African openers are back in the pavilion and du Plessis is in the crease and he needs to bat for a long time for South Africa to have a decent score on the board.

I am also looking forward to see how RSA will perform in this tour because their recent form is not good as how they were been in the past so they need something big to show the international teams about their ability to win matches and home ground could be a little advantage for them. Both squads looks same but only their form differs to be honest.
What is the situation of Ben Stokes, will he be playing in the match because there is no clarity regarding whether he will be playing in the match and if he is not in the team then it will be difficult for England too as he is the main player for England and in the warm up match the batsman were scoring runs from both sides and it all depends upon the pitch and for South Africa Bavuma is out due to injury and they have some uncapped players and some may make their debut too, so it is an interesting match.

I remember people calling one coin the bitcoin killer, lol 😆 oh i hate centralized coins, the fact is there was no coin mined, no blockchain, nothing, I have never seen anything like it, any coin that claims to kill bitcoin is red flag lol
You can always fool people who have no idea about the crypto market and anyone who promises a guaranteed return is a sure shot scam and there are more than $40 billion been taken off the market by these scammers in this period of time through different scams including ponzi schemes and ICO frauds and i wish every scammers will be caught in the future and given the right sentence and the investors get their money refunded.

I do no think it is a good idea. All ready players are very busy nowdays, you cannot ask more from them. Cricket has become business to mint money. Let them rest for few months before these guys start again.

How will you enjoy a game or a tournament with tired players?
If you can time the tournaments perfectly then it will be entertaining, the leagues will conduct their matches during the first part of the year and the Champions league will be conducted at the later part of the year which will enforce interest in the view public to know which team is the best among all the franchise teams and it might have a huge response, timing is everything as you cannot force these tournaments one after other, if the cricket boards are able to time these perfectly then they will succeed.

I think Dhoni have different game plans for this season because CSK bought only bowlers in the bidding action it seems to Dhoni understand the other teams strength and what CSK need exactly.
The team has specialist batsman who are the permanent fixtures like Suresh Raina, Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo and Dhoni is more than enough to stabilize the team and they still have Murali Vijay, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav and Faf du Plessis and the superstar Ravindra Jadeja and this batting can take on any bowlers in the world and now they have more options to select when it comes to bowling. So i think they have a complete team and with Dhoni as the captain he can pose a challenge to any team.

What is this mini IPL, is this a tournament for U21 or much younger players or is it about women's cricket
They are planning to bring back the Champions League T20 where the best teams from all the franchise cricket will face to find out the best champion and right now we have many franchise T20 tournament around the world and it would be fun to see the best teams battling out but the main problem will be some of these players are playing in multiple franchise and how they will sort that out will be the biggest question.

Well said unless person who does not have anything to do or does not want to do anything in life would only see the match ball by ball else people nowadays just take a glimpse or in between check the scores and go back again to their work.
As @Vishnu.Reang said the gambling industry is really huge and they will be taking a keen interest on all these matches, everyone might not be seeing all these matches but if we have an incentive to watch the matches then you will definitely watch all the matches, the gambling industry is huge and billions of dollars are wagging annually in legal gambling sites and just imagine the unregistered illegal gambling, so it is a huge industry and there will be people who will be making money watching these matches.

Some would say its excellent recipe for good cricket and critics/ICC might scream that BIG 3 sucks.(or PIG 3  Grin).
Super series includes total 4 teams (Ind +Eng + Aus) and one more team, no one knows...
Glad to see that Sourav Ganguly is trying to make things interesting for the fans and to develop cricket and even i heard he is planning for a mini IPL, not sure about the details of that but i am sure he will things that will help youngsters and to develop their cricket and he will be a major part in the next wave of changes like he did in the past as a captain.

A great example the historical chapter in the world political-religious is main factor used in India government very one of the bad things last one-year hundreds off day shutdown internet access without any reason dont be like this political system From what we are seeing now, I can understand that the government of a country is controlling the judiciary of that country.
Seriously when i heard about this, i thought i was living in some dictatorship where your internet connection is basically shut down and the media personalities are arrested for capturing the protest, it all resembles of the Emergency declared by Indira Gandhi during the 70s and now people are living in that same situation basically, i am basically from Kerala where the BJP will never win a single seat in any election and never had and hence when i see all these forced atrocities by BJP fanatics i hope people will think twice when they go to the election booth next time, you want a peaceful life or some mad fanatics ruling the country.

Pakistan won the match by 263 runs, and this win has enabled them to jump from the 6th spot in the 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship to the 3rd place. Right now they have 80 points from 4 matches, with a RpW ratio of 0.765. Sri Lanka is at the 4th spot, with 80 points and RpW ratio of 0.589. The details can be found at the ICC website:
It was an incredible win for Pakistan by coming back from behind and winning the match when everyone wrote them off and the funny thing about the ICC World Test championship is that there are no matches that is going on other than Australia and New Zealand and hence they will move to higher positions as long as there is no other matches.

Many India people are so fed up with the British who ruled them for so long, that they won't even use the government the Brits left behind. Instead of using jury rule, they are stepping back into their religious governments, and are thereby destroying the only chance they have for freedom.
Cool
Which government are you talking about in a democracy Roll Eyes . The current situation is that religious fanatics are in power (yeah they won the elections and hence they came into power) and there is nothing that can be done and majority of the literate people feel like the same Hitler regime in Nazi Germany where they rally people with false promise and right now they are dividing people in the name of religion which is absurd.

India is a secular country and the present government wants to create these atrocities in the streets and i hope that the supreme court will intervene to reject an unconstitutional law.

You never know whether the bet on West Indies will be a good one, 316 is huge total to chase
India lost their third wicket but as long as Kohli is in the crease i think India can win the match and the series, Pant is in the crease now and he will be taking on the bowler and if he clicks then it will be good for India to cover the required run rate and as long as Kohli is there at one end India will chase this one as they have Kedar Jadhav and Ravindra Jadeja to bat.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 22, 2019, 01:19:51 PM
Now the match depends on Indian openers. 315 is a good target but, is still possible to reach if the openers and the middle order do  there job properly. Past form of Rohit and Rahul should play a crucial role in today's match.
India started really well and they are chasing well as expected and they do not need to take much risk and still they are scoring at well over 6 runs per over and as long as the Rohit and Rahul is in the crease they could accelerate the innings and since there is dew it will be difficult for the West Indies bowlers and the fielders and picking wickets to put pressure on the Indian batsman is the only solution and it looks like India will run away with the game and the series easily.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 22, 2019, 09:17:51 AM
Okay fellas series decider is on... India won the toss and opt to bowl, again its batting pitch and hope Windies get some big run on the board and then India doing what they are known for "Chase"
West Indies started really slow and now they lost Lewis looking for an extravagant shot, Jadeja already dropped a tough chance earlier and for India Navdeep Saini made his debut and he is bowling at a lively pace and Shai Hope continues his form throughout the series became the fastest West Indian player to cross 3000 runs, even though his strike rate is low his average is above 50.

Pant just now missed a regulation catch and his terrible performance behind the stumps continues.

The lead for Pakistan team is now 474 and I think Pakistan should declare now and get SL all out as quickly as possible . Chasing 400+ in fourth innings is not going to be easy  and with this currently Pakistan is just using the time which ideally SL should be batting .
Finally Pakistan declared their second innings for 555 runs and the top four have scored a century each and this is one of the best performance by the Pakistan top order in a very very long time as i do not remember the last time they played like this and these sort of performance will boost their confidence in the coming matches and hopefully they would perform well as a team, so now they are not worried about a defeat as Sri Lanka will be trying for a draw as the total is impossible to achieve.

If we are considering last 2 decades then for me best captain is Ganguly. But If we are going way back to 60s and 80s then Mansoor Ali khan and Kapil dev are worthy candidates and important figures.
Hands down Sourav Ganguly is the best captain India ever had when it comes to building a sub par team to world beaters and he showed the confidence on how to take on the opponents and beat them at their own game and the number of world class players he brought into the team is also a major part why India continue that tradition under MSD and now under Kohli.

I guess another of his fellow team mates Cottrel was also a wastage of above 8 crore rupee. He don't deserve such huge amount of money. He won't get a good time in IPL, I can bet for that. Maxwell as well have been over-priced. These guys are making money with the fame from the name.
I think the reason Sheldon Cottrell got a huge value is simply because of his personality in the ground where he gives a salute with every dismissal and he might be used for advertisement and i think if they are picked the teams have the ability to control what all advertisement they get and may be he is paid because of that value but Maxwell is a hard hitter of the ball and when he is in form he will clear any boundary.
960  Economy / Economics / Re: Exchanges are rebelling against constant hard forks on: December 20, 2019, 05:20:11 PM
That's just coinfloor and not "exchangeS" because that is just one place and not all of them.
The heading was misleading, i was looking at the thread to see what all exchanges are planning to rebel against constant fork and it was just one exchange who cannot handle all these forks because they doubt that it might cause some issues with their smooth running and it is not even a huge exchange with huge volumes and i am expecting some exchanges to disable ETH when the upgrade takes place and whether they will be implemented all these changes at one go is still doubtful as i have read somewhere that they are planning to upgrade in stages.
