I dunno if this could be any help or not for the next launch, but, ECC launched lastnight and it was absolutely flawless, with close to 3gigahash right at launch and sustained it for about an hour. Network hash is half that right now. They released source and wallets right on time and within minutes everything was synced. Maybe the owner / devs here could talk to the team which launched the coin and get input / suggestions? Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=503236.0Not supporting or endorsing the coin, but it was an example of a professional launch. Coin launched went well but most if not all pools were down in the first 20 minutes of launch. Yeah, because they had to download and compile the source and setup their config files. Nothing, not even coin specs, were released to pool operators prior to launch. Once they released code, I had my pool up within 10 minutes. A delay at launch is not unusual while everyone is compiling the server backend. Flawless launch, and still running smooth.

I can't speak for Avenger, but the information coming from KNC lately has been spotty and mixed it seems. Just last month they said they were still in preliminary chip design stages working stuff out. Suddenly, they've already taped out? So which was it? Sounds like KNC is working on some misinformation of their own. Could explain Orama's absensce. I lurk in here just to see what's new, and Avenger's pics are usually pretty funny and worthwhile.

Endorsement ny2cafuse is a solid community participant, a cornerstone in many ways. Trustworthy. Just wanted to toss that out.

So a month ago they were still in preliminary asic design working out efficiency issues. (Bitcoinorama) But now they've already taped out.

anyone got the IPO refund? I send my wallet address to receive the IPO investment but until now I didnīt receive nothing.
They probably will not issue the refunds for a little bit. They did say they would in their recent communications so I would not worry about it. Read back a few pages. Refund is due next week after coinbase has given the CEO the bitcoins he just purchased Got my full refund yesterday. Just takes pressure. If you guys aren't getting your refunds, I'd be curious. He has the BTC.

Awesome Dabs, the 270's really can hold their own in the right setup. I'm going to evaluate undervolting mine sometime soon to see what they can do.
What are your settings for that last setup? Mainly engine, memory and TC.

only invest in an IPO if you know something about their business model, cash flow, and integrity of the person responsible. If you invested in GPUcoin, you just gave someone money on the internet because of a story in a thread.
This is good advice for many people. I had investigated the company and its paperwork, which is one of the reasons why I was willing to buy in. It wasn't a true IPO, it was more of a buy-in for premined coins, as VA LLC's can't have shares.

How did you get a 20% discount? gc4btc.com helps out. You can talk to the owner and he'll get you bulk amounts offline. I keep giftcard in stock weeks before Amazon restocks. Newegg usually has them in stock longer because they charge more and put limits, so they're great if you absolutely have to buy something, but Amazon doesn't care if you order 5 or 90. I'm sure GPUC will get good pricing when they finalize their partnerships. That's good to know. Thanks! I actually order a lot of stuff from Amazon (books and all sorts of household appliances) and have a prime membership with them as well. Any other sites that sell discounted gift cards that you would recommend? There's some I've run across, but they fail my memory right now. You probably know this already, but gyft.com will also take bitcoin, and will give you instant giftcards to places including amazon. I've used them for "oh crap I need money now" moments.

Hey guys, can you tell me which pool you are using...Because I am using hashfaster and for 24 hours I made 10 TAG coins with 7MH/s
Something isn't quite right, maybe the op needs to check his backend / cronjobs. 7mh should roughly get you 30-50 in 24 hours when constantly running, right now.

Full refund confirmed. OP updated.
As I said; Easy as cake.

Updates - I will provide updates to the OP soon. The owner has acquiesced and issued me a refund; other IPOs have also put in for refunds and are awaiting theirs.

Jaymes responded to my request for a refund, and I have sent him my wallet address. I will update once he provides the return.
As I have stated many times, I wish I could stay in, but I've lost all faith in the operator of this venture. This is despite a decent profit I could've made reselling the IPO. Good luck to all, I do hope you all get what you want out of it.
Update - Refund received

I don't feel ripped off. I do feel bad for all involved and for those who had high hopes.
He told me in email if he failed to launch, that I could ask for refunds and he would process them, and if he doesn't, that I (or anyone) could file claim against his LLC. That's better protection than just sending some random avatar BTC on this forum, so yeah there were definitely more warm and fuzzies about this venture. Plus, it was a great idea, at least before he crashed it into the ground.
I don't think he's a scammer, I just think he lacks business competence and IT sense.

Try Cryptorush and SwissCEX It would defiantly be nice if some other exchanges would pick QBT up. I accidentally didn't update my client and then generated a pos block now when I use the new client it says my amount is 0 even though the blockchain says i have all my money, I tried resyncing like 10 times plus I tried rescanning the wallet multiple times can anyone help. Safest bet... just export all the privkeys for the addresses in your wallet. Don't know how to do that? I have a post in my history on the CENT/DBL thread about this... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359000.msg4867324#msg4867324It takes a bit of patience... but it is a 100% method to retain the coins you have on the REAL chain of any coin after you resync with the newest client and chain. thanks worked like a charm, you forgot to mention that you need to unlock your wallet in order to dump the private key but yeah i realized that after it didnt work, all in all thanks just wish this coin was on a real exchange then we could get some volume and not the 1<ltc on the scifi exchange

He completely ignored the topic of refunds in the email, and glossed over the series of failures after the 2nd launch. I'm also still waiting for a refund.
Even if the coin launches and becomes valuable to some degree, I don't want to have anything to do with a guy who clearly has no understanding of the cryptocurrency world, or launches, or that heavy loads occur, or that source code is a key part of launching things and compiling software.
Yet you gave him your money before bothering to look any of this up or doing any real research? Sounds like this is on you just as much as it would be on him. If you followed the situation you'd know he changed this stuff AFTER he closed the IPO buyin. But thanks for your armchair commentary.

How much did you invest vesperwillow? Cause you seem quite mad to me
I only tossed in a couple days' earnings that I was willing to lose, .5btc. I'm more upset at the blatant ignorance of the guy and the attitude he's giving many IPOs, and how poorly he planned and executed. You always need someone to spearhead issues, I'm just taking this one up because of how dumbfounded I am about this guy. Plus I live near his neighborhood, which makes it easier for any sort of legal issues to be dealt with. The original concept of GPU Coin was very stout, but then he changed his gameplan, part of his business plan, the coin design and some other stuff after IPO closure, and just hours before launch. Who in their right mind does any of that? He was advised by senior and experienced individuals on this board to NOT do that prior to launch because it would screw things up. And here we are, 200 pages of his clusterfuck, without so much as a functional node or wallet. At this point, I would wager the coin will never have 1/10th the value it may have had if things had gone smoothly. The only thing right about this venture is the logo, he got the logo right. It looks nice. Anyone else notice a few things about the email? Originally he said he would be sending it out, along with text to confirm refunds.
* Any mention of refunds was missing
Nope. Read it again. I stand corrected, it was mentioned at the very end. Thank you.
