961  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Spondoolies SP30/SP31/SP35 [US] on: February 22, 2016, 09:25:58 AM
I would love one of these beasts in my apartment. Your price is also fair for the hashrate and PSU built in.

Anyway to undervolt/underclock these things so they are as quiet as an Antminer S3?

You can certainly underclock and undervolt them, and you can turn down the fans, but I've never heard one in person so couldn't comment on whether it would be as quiet as a S3.

I sorta maybe doubt it, the fans on these are pretty small and loud.

One down 4 to go.
963  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Spondoolies SP35 [US] - will ship worldwide PRICE DROP on: February 18, 2016, 09:04:26 AM
I have the following for sale:

1 x Spondoolies SP35 (SP35DNN1) @ 1.5 BTC OVNO
- SOLD

2 x Spondoolies SP30 @ 1.1 BTC each - SOLD
1 x Spondoolies SP31 @ 1.5 BTC each - SOLD
1 x Spondoolies SP35 (running at 1/2 speed as one power supply is out of action) @ 1.0 BTC each - SOLD

They are located at a datacenter in the US

Please check my trust, I've done quite a few high worth transactions on here, and can also supply ebay credentials if necessary. Even so if you want to pay for escrow through someone reputable such as Ognasty that's fine too.

Notes:
The slow SP35 needs a replacement PSU, or would be good for spares/repairs if you have other faulty units

PM offers or multi-unit deals
Shipping labels or UPS/Fexdex account details will need to be supplied

Good to hear you are ok and survived the New Year celebrations Smiley
965  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Reliable source/vendor for powerful mining hardware on: February 12, 2016, 12:04:30 PM
New, either S7, or Avalon 6 and be prepared for the external PSU setup.

If you want rack mountable you can go with second hand SP3x

Or you can buy units colocated/managed for you in china.
966  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 11, 2016, 09:53:14 PM
From what i remember, you could declare the psu as ''generic'' and use whatever psu you want!
Just wire it through the empty space of the old and broken psu Wink

My understanding is even if you purchase the exact same model of PSU you then have to declare it as generic as it doesn't have the "firmware" that sp-tech used in their ones.

The unit I have is rackmounted in a datacenter, jury rigging any old PSU won't do, it has to be a direct replacement that goes into the same slot, so either one from another SP35 or I have to purchase an Artesyn and set it up as generic.

Just putting some feelers out if anyone has a broken down SP35 that they want to get rid of either in its entirety or just the PSU's I'd prefer not to spend $400 on a new PSU if I can help it.

Anyone got a spare SP35 PSU they can sell me? SP-tech are out of spares. PM if you do please.

Cheers

Hi All,

MESSAGE FROM LEE.

Following is the information passed to me by Lee by email  and asked me to pass to you guys as he can not connect to VPN and can not able to connect to forum.

He will send mining according to 100% pps as last difference.

Thanks
Sky

Did he mentioned till when is start of last batch delayed? Compensation is OK, but what will be the money source for very long delay?
I would love to just hear from Lee. They make sure they get paid for hosting but responding to emails or any form of communication has been lacking greatly of recent.

Its still Chinese New Year till the end of the week. Don't expect to hear anything till next week I reckon

Its Chinese New Year time for the next few weeks, don't expect much to happen anywhere in China till after next week.

Next batch of compensation will come soon I imagine, but maybe not for another week.

Do you mind if I organise my own shipping? Will that be inconvenient to you? I've got quotes of around $100 for 3 day service from UPS or DHL
971  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Re round three of Avalon group buy. interest page. on: February 06, 2016, 03:48:04 PM
What if we don't need the pi's? I guess we can sell em.

Of course.  Some will also just want to host it in a location of their choosing too.

Wouldn't you just buy it direct from bitmain if that was the case?
979  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]1980$! the sales of first batch hosted antminer s7(psu included) on: November 09, 2015, 06:35:42 PM
In other news one of my S7 seems to have dropped down to 2.69TH for some reason. The other one is fine on the same pool so its not the network or pool.

Prompt support on the speed drop, what did they get you to do?

Rich

Me? Nothing.

They always just say its fine, 9/10 they reboot them I reckon, I've stopped asking now, once I let them know it seems to magically recover.

My other S7 was fine on the same pool so logically it could only be a problem with the second s7 or unique to the infra around it, no matter what anyone says. Smiley
