981  Economy / Collectibles / Re: f*D's Limited Edition "Stage 1 of Ethereum: Frontier' 5" ETH Bars - IN STOCK! on: August 28, 2015, 10:58:44 PM
I got mine today too
982  Economy / Collectibles / Re: f*D's Stage 1 of Ethereum 'Frontier' 5" Ether Bars - In stock August 25th! on: August 20, 2015, 01:39:16 PM
I'd like some velvet cases for these and the Bitcoin bars.

Now it makes sense why the Ether bars looked like copies of the F*D Bitcoin bars.
983  Economy / Collectibles / Re: **5" Ethereum Frontier Bars** on: August 17, 2015, 09:41:33 PM
I have decided against the velvet boxes and am leaning strongly towards loading the bars. If I load the bars, I will be loading all of them and not providing an additional hologram so as to make sure there is no confusion for reselling down the line.

How many ETH would you like to see loaded?

1
5
10

If these bars fit the F*D bars, you may want to offer these as an optional purchase.  I would personally buy 1 for this bar, and 1-2 for the F*D bars.

I vote for 1 ETH
984  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Bitcoins from Infinitum Bitcoins on: August 14, 2015, 11:14:34 PM
I got my coin in the mail today too.

Sadly...the outer box was a little crushed on the edge, and the coin itself seemed to rub Einstein's forehead inside the plastic airtite, leaving a bunch of noticeable scratches and marks on his head.  Otherwise, its a very nice coin, with a frosted proof-like finish.
985  Economy / Collectibles / Re: **5" Ethereum Frontier Bars** on: August 14, 2015, 11:16:25 AM
Ether price looking really good! Couple of questions for those who have ordered...

1. I can have velvet boxes made for each bar but would add an incremental expense of $5-$7 each. Curious on feedback here, I would like to keep the price point down but these certainly would look better in a nice case...

2. Thinking of assembling each bar with 1 ETH inserted behind the hologram. There is no address window so there would be an element of trust instilled (which I know is hard with me being a new provider). But it would just be 1 ETH which at present is a couple of dollars so maybe worth the risk?

Appreciate feedback.

You could offer the box as an optional add-on for those who don't want to pay.  Many people are price conscious.

Most people will likely ask to assemble it themselves, due to trust issues.  You could also offer it as a optional surcharge as well.  Some crypto makers offer both DIY and Assembled options.  As a collector, I'd prefer it be assembled with a nominal ETH loaded.

987  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Genesis Coins SERIES 2/ what coin do you want to see? on: August 13, 2015, 04:42:47 PM
I would like to see silver for the base metal! Also agree I had no idea what half those coins were...like Coin2? I still have no idea what that is lol.

Agreed.  If you have to do alts, at least pick ones people have heard of.   I would also like a solid silver as a rarity and/ or solid silver w/ gold highlights.   That would make people want the packs to collect different rarities.
988  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Genesis Coins SERIES 2/ what coin do you want to see? on: August 13, 2015, 04:34:53 PM
Are you asking if we would like to see any altcoin version of Genesis Coin beside bitcoin? Frankly, no. I don't care about altcoins and I think the only collectible coins worth purchasing is bitcoin alone.
With other altcoins you can predict the price after some time, with bitcoin it only go higher.

I echo this.  I only cared for Bitcoin.  I was almost turned off from having to buy tons of packs to improve my chances to getting only one coin I wanted.  Perhaps instead of all the alts, having more rare coins that people will want to collect like how ravenbit has 1 coin with different color rarities of public key papers visible in the windows of the holos.

I think the packs and opening them was unique and fun, so that's ok to keep again.

If doing gold vs silver, I would make the colors more evident.  I find the gold vs silver to look too similar
989  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] PAPERSAFE Collectable Paper Wallets.. THE Blockchain Mining Note on: August 09, 2015, 07:24:16 PM
The PaperSafe , BLOCKCHAIN MINING Share certificate would be limited to only 100 Prints also.... They would be Numbered from 100 to 199.
The first 10, I could probable print the Keys and addresses with secure hologram, like the first series and sell/auction them off individually..  This is still in the "What the hell do I want to do/ What do people want " Stage....  I am just gauging interest with the direction of the second series of notes.

I would be interested in that
990  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] PAPERSAFE Collectable Paper Wallets.. THE Blockchain Mining Note on: August 09, 2015, 06:31:22 PM
As a collector, I don't store BTC on paper wallets or coins anymore.  To me, I would much prefer a nicer product like the last edition, and leave the private keys with the OP.  I would pay a premium for a nicer product, and only require one note vs 5.

It boils down to what a person wants physical cryptos for.  Storing bitcoin and wanting a DIY solution or having something with all the bells and whistles for collectability.

Wondering how your store your coins nowadays then?
Personally I still use the good old paper wallet, since I can easily make one with higher entropy than any digital solution and make it completely offline, properly a bit overkill - but it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to store bitcoins like that. I also use bitcoin-core and mycelium, basically I don't rely on one type of wallet/medium alone.

I really don't have any coins saved.  For physical crypto purchases, I use coinbase, and often have less than 1 BTC there at a time.  I do have some paper wallets I created myself for nominal storage as well as cryptos (Casascius, etc) that came funded.

992  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: August 08, 2015, 07:23:07 PM
Lets try this again.  After the US mail lost your Gold prototype I won in the auction, I'd like two more Gold now...lowest serial number avail please.
993  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: August 07, 2015, 08:51:46 PM
If the bars are ready, can you post a pic of the front and the holo, if they look different than before?
994  Economy / Collectibles / Re: **5" Ethereum Frontier Bars** on: August 07, 2015, 08:37:30 PM
Ok.  Kindly reserve a set of 3 for me with the lowest serial number avail.  I may use escrow then.  I'm in the U.S.

Thanks
995  Economy / Collectibles / Re: **5" Ethereum Frontier Bars** on: August 07, 2015, 08:25:23 PM
It seems very "interesting" how close these bars are to the F*D bars in size, shape and design.

Do you accept escrow since you are doing preorders from a new account?
996  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Finite by Design 5-Coin Set Review on: August 04, 2015, 06:05:53 PM
Chris can correct me if I'm wrong but I think he reused a lot of holos so the numbers on the holos may not correlate with the edition number.

I personally like the coins and think they are a good value since they are solid silver and very limited.  They used to cost $200 ea initially
997  Economy / Auctions / Re: Casascius 25 BTC coin on: August 04, 2015, 01:09:42 AM
I would bid if it still had the original hologram...

I don't know why people clean em off... I bought this from someone who needed the money at the time. I often thought about making a trip to Utah to get it re-hologramed however btc never hit that $1 mark  Grin

I don't suppose Mike C still offers that service in person.  I have a few spent coins including two 10B which I wouldn't mind getting redone.
998  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Lesser Known Physical Crypto Coins, Paper Wallets on: August 04, 2015, 01:02:39 AM

I don't have that coin but only collect wallets that have a private key.  Appreciate the heads up though.
999  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Crypto General Discussion on: July 22, 2015, 02:07:27 PM
I have two redeemed 10B and one never holo'd 25b and 5b all get MS60.  So if the holo is clearly peeled or never applied by Mike C, the Cas coins seem to get a default MS60
1000  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] VERY RARE: ANACS graded MS67 Casascius Coin 2011 Series 1 w Error on: July 22, 2015, 02:02:51 PM
Glad to see you're coming back to reality OP.  You're 40B comment made me bust out laughing.

Nice coin but these days in the new Anacs grading era, it doesn't surprise me one bit.
