How will Unobtanium market react to this possible BTC price drop over the short term? I make monthly UNO buys and would welcome a cheaper BTC to buy UNO. The question is - will UNO supply and demand dynamics cause a drop in UNO price along with BTC? We've all seen what upticks in demand do to the UNO trade. I'm content to steadily buy and hold, I mean hodl.
guess what there is no straight answer (else we'd all be rich) BUT bearish BTC tends to be reinvested in promising ALTs ... hello UNO! BUT bullish BTC tends to cause short investors to dump ALTs aka buy BTC BUT I can't even say "tends to" because ALTs are about 1year old, there no much data yet. BUT non-inflationary / rare / fair / and asset backed that's going beat BTC anyday ... bear or bull BTC markets ... I'll hodl me uno. Un is up 40-50% in the last 30 days or so. Cheap Btc is usually a bullish sign for the price of Uno. 30 days in Crypto can be like a year. Lets just quick look back: - A lot of Uno moved to stronger hands in past 30 days.

Uno faced up the MintPal realities
Added a new btc market at Bleutrade
Added a shiny new USD market at Bleutrade
Celebrated Uno's birthday and got a little attention
Coaex, an important metals dealer come into UNO
Started trading hedges
Saw a XRP market added on Cryptsy
Good activity on the in-house exchange
Many of us bought silver from Bigspag and saw it delivered.
Awarded the BlueCrypto Award, a community effort
Got interested in Unobtanium beer
Showed our appreciation to to Blazr2
Rose from the 60's to the 40's on Coinmarketcap
Welcomed new people to the community
There are more trusted traders in the Uno community than ever.
What else did I miss? All this is just one month in the life of UNO. If bitcoin is going into the 200's, then I'm very bullish. It will be intersting to see if Uno will again cling to USD as BTC falls. There is very little Un on the markets at this moment. I like to see the books thicker than this, on both the buy & sell side so it's easier for folks to come and go without making huge waves. I am partly to blame here, having only buy orders up. Been on the chat a bit tonight on Bleutrade. It seems like fun community over there. I met people setting up markets in Uno/Html5, Uno/Cann.
The interesting aspect about Bleu is the ability to configure just about any pair that you want. If you like Un and nnn coin, you just might find some takers over there to help you build a new market. Bleu doesn't lock you into only one or few pairs. There's an opportunity for us on this exchange. We'll see where it goes.
I'm super excited about Uno (yeah, right FK so what else is new). I see where we've been the last year. Crypto changes from month to month, sometimes day to day. Uno and its community is adaptable, and I think that's why one year after Blazr2 launched Uno, we're still here. We reach out and make good things happen. Sometimes we get screwed along the way, but what the hell. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. We're not in crypto because we don't like to take chances, right? There's safer investments out there, but we choose to be here. Part of what drives us is the excitement, challenge, the risk, and the opportunity to learn something new. If there's something you want to do, give it a shot. Why not, It's only money.

do you have to get verified or anything like that to trade with USD on bleu?
They don't do verification. They hand you off to different services like Payeer to deposit USD, and I suppose those services might do KYC. I'm a noob when it comes to putting $$ into exchanges; I only ever buy bitcoin through Coinbase. Out of curiosity, I quickly tried to transfer in $100 from a credit card (7% charge) with Payeer, but it failed for some reason and I didn't try again. I'm expecting a phone call any minute now from Chase Fraud Prevention Dept. |

Once again we're seeing that as BTC price falls against USD, UNO rises on CoinMarketcap ranking, per it's habit of clinging to that $3/uno mark. Falling Btc is bullish for Uno as the hodlers move in to accumulate with new btc purchased with usd.  I know we just got this market yesterday at Bleutrade, and it's still a ve rythin, but it's a start; at least now there's a place to play UNO/USD. My challenge in getting USD into Bleutrade. I was able to sell a bit of btc for usd yesterday, and am trying to setup the buy side of the market. Like I said, it's not deep but at least when you go there it won't be empty.  I hope these markets turn out to be a lot of fun for Uno traders, and that Bleutrade turns out long term to be an excellent exchange for Uno. Do you have another favorite coin that you trade that is also listed on Bleutrade? For example, do you hodl POT? If you want to sponsor an alternative UNO/POT pairing on Bleutrade, let me know after you get things setup and I'll add your market to the OP. |

Altcoinfaucets.net is asking for a btc donation to continue the faucet service.
I'm thinking it might be time to end this service, since Cryptap.us is also providing a reliable faucet that is well used as part of his broader services to the UNO community.
I don't see the need to double up on it. The same people who use Cryptapus' faucet also probably using Altcoinfaucet.net.
The main advantage is having an extra 0.9.5 node on the network and a bit of extra exposure, but we'll be fine without it.
If anyone feels they want to keep it, you can donate to this address. Otherwise, I'll let it go.

And as far as I can tell nobody is complaining about stolen Mintpal UNO??
(same can't be said for Veri, sys, karma,dark, etc.)
I guess because UNO never did take off in a big way on Mintpal, people are not so worried about huge amounts of coin being stored there? Which might very well be a false sense of security. So far we haven't seen any huge dumps, and IIRC people were able to withdraw their Uno until recently? Its only that a couple of transactions got stuck and those coins are now inaccessible. Which ssounds more like a bug and lack of support staff to resolve the probably huge backlog of issues. There were some of us who were trapped in MP, including myself. It seems Alex Green got at least 500 un, based just what people have told me in pm's. This doesn't appear to be a Coinex-level Uno heist, but they did get some. The market had been thin for months, so I'm hoping not many people had Un there. Smaller withdrawals seemed to clear, but larger ones stuck there. I am still looking for MP withdrawal transactions and addresses from anyone who can provide them. I'd like to try to find their cold strorage wallet. Also if you lost Un at MintPal, please let me know privately the amount so I can keep a tally. There were a few large dumps during the past couple weeks. I can't know with any certainty right now if they were related to MP. |

12 hours waiting on a 0.6 uno withdrawal from cryptsy...
anyone else experiencing delays over there?
I have a theory. I think Cryptsy ques up smaller amounts of Uno and waits to bundle them into a transaction with a larger withdrawal. I've noticed this because I always look at the block when I do an exchange withdrawal (I'm just funny that way since MintPal). Even though I received my withdrawal quickly, I often see that there are smaller transactions for others that derive from the same withdrawal address. So my theory is that when someone withdraws a larger amount of Uno, it will also trigger sending of your 0.6 un. After it arrives, look up the tx-id in the Chainz explorer and see what you learn. |

opened up my wallet this morning and it was stuck on a block from 3 days ago. closed/reopened, still stuck, not downloading any new blocks. Just backed up my wallet, deleted blockchain, launched wallet to re-download...nothing. 8 connections to the unobtanium network, but nothing being downloaded. not even the arrows-circle that should be next to the bars indicating how many connections to the network i have.
any idea what's going on?
Mine is working fine, just sent a coin off and it arrived. Chainz explorer is reporting 90% of it's connections are 0.9.5, which is good. If you go to Console and type getpeerinfo what subver are most of your peers displaying? Could it be a firewall issue? Maybe backup the wallet.dat, and do a fresh install Last week Avast! antivirus went all "false-positive" on me during a scan and removed pieces of many altcoin wallets, causing me to have to sit down for 30 minutes and learn how to restore files from quarantine. I think Avast is suspicious of all p2p software. So maybe an AV problem? |

A shoutout to the owners of the top wallets, uLAzKY and uXZYPn: You guys are so close to the #1 spot (I don't include Cryptsy as the legit #1 wallet, since it's all held in trust ) Just pickup another 500 Uno and you can displace udYSEGN, the long time top wallet. Do yourself the honor! You've come this far... Just 500 more Uno! @FK -- you didn't address this to me, but I took up your challenge. I am now (excluding Cryptsy, of course) for a day or two or three, Numero Uno on the UNO rich list. That's cool enough for me. Now I want to be superseded by magnitudes and multitudes. I have been mining since July 21st, buying since July 22nd -- at all kinds of prices, and I care not whither it goes for the short term. I have not sold even a single part of a gram since I've been accumulating. (I have, however, donated a few back to the community). For the long term ... I am now reissuing to everyone here FK's challenge: please surpass ME *now*, by leaps and bounds.
