Congratulations, buyers. Your patience was rewarded.
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UNIC] Unicoin LAUNCHED! on: March 27, 2015, 12:55:06 AM
As long as there's a pool and an exchange I'll put a blockerupter on this and keep it moving.
1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 26, 2015, 11:56:18 PM
looking at CMC:

Ziftr coin below Uno already. Wasn't that hot last week?
Even Primecoin, Megacoin, Quark, Worldcoin, XC, Feathercoin and what not. All slipped down. It's a tragedy.
At this rate all we need to do is hold the value and 8 months from now even LTC and BTC slip down past Uno  Roll Eyes
I love the way you think!  Cool
Damn! He's right!
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: March 26, 2015, 02:59:10 PM

1 year ago on Cryptsy UNO was ~0.0045 BTC.  Today price per UNO is ~0.0130 BTC.

That Big Dump of Uno down to a few sats never happened, remember?  You didn't see anything.....  Smiley  It's funny it still shows on some charts.

Man, I remember the rumors that started about the CoinEx Uno being dumped.
I think one of the explanations was that Cryptsy was working on their auto-sell feature and accidentally sold everyone's Uno.
Some thought it was Wolong cashing out and that Big Vern reversed it all to pocket the gains personally.

I'm still unclear about what happened, but I lean toward the "auto-sell malfunction" theory.

Crypto would be boring without rumors.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange notes. on: March 26, 2015, 02:45:44 PM
Bynergy.com has gone offline. They were a p2p exchange without wallets, a bourse, but they did offer escrow for Uno. I've removed them from the OP.

It has been an active month for exchange closings and hackings: Allcrypt of course, was in the process of closing  and was then hacked. Allcrypt had Doge/Ltc/Btc/Naut markets for Uno. The last I saw there was only 10 Uno listed there. Most had been withdrawn, and perhaps all of it was removed before the hack.

Other closings of non-Uno exchanges:
Cryptoine.com exchange just posted that they were hacked and wallets drained.

Cryptorush.in gone. Swisscex.com is closing. Coin-Swap.net, gone. Betasharex.com gone.

I see Uno is near the top of the vote list now for Cryptopia.co.nz.

Dropping like flies! Any rumours on Bleutrade or Coins-e?

@FK I am not suggesting anything in the least and haven't read anything, just asking! You are very dialed-in to what goes on in the cryptoverse.

When will BTC-E add $UNO?  Cool

No I have not heard any rumors.
Bleutrade looks pretty good to me. It's active and they provide interesting pairs. Their trollbox is busy.

Exchanges that appear dead are scary. I like to see recent tweets, activity, trades taking place, community action. Anything that says they are alive.
It's pretty obvious based on quick math that every small exchange loses money. Without some kind of deep pockets backing them, they are run by part timers who probably don't know much about security best practices and are not up on the latest exploits.

We're fortunate to have Uno traded on Bittrex and Cryptsy, as they are as good it gets for an exchange right now.  Bleutrade -- I have a lot of trust in them.   The others I am rooting for, but just in general I am very wary when my coins are out of my control. I have been through enough exchange hacks/closures now that the risks are finally sinking in for me.

I also trusted Coinex, MintPal and Allcrypt, so.... my record is not very good. Every exchange is a risk, just by virtue of being an exchange.
I like Shapeshift because I only have to trust them for about 1 minute. Smiley
1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Exchange List] List of AltCoin and Bitcoin Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: March 26, 2015, 12:38:28 PM

80 coins on the list after a purging. I visited all of the sites to confirm if they were at least still online.
Quite a few appear to have no volume, no users, and haven't tweeted for awhile. User beware. Certainly check them out to the best your ability before sending any coins.  No activity means owner isn't making money.

1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / SwissCex solvent but closing on: March 26, 2015, 01:17:07 AM
Swisscex announced an orderly closure on March 10, 2015.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Cryptoine.com wallets drained on: March 26, 2015, 01:14:20 AM
Cryptoine.com posted:

Our hot wallets was drained, coins: bitcoin, litecoin, urocoin, dogecoin, bitcoinscrypt, magi, darkcoin, dogecoindark, cannabis

All coins that we have, will be returned to users. Coins stolen - in correspondingly smaller quantities.

We had wallets in the ratio 60%/40% (hot/cold).

Big thanks to all of you who have joined in to carry Uno forward the past year since this thread started.
Special thanks to Blazr2 who launched Uno, and then came back to make sure we were all right.
And to Bryce Weiner who joined in to make some tough decisions to carry us forward.
and Learminer who got our web page up and running.
and to V500, ProminerOne, Edgar, Jelks and IMZ who brought stability to the community.
and to Bitcoincharlie, BitcoinNational, gustav, cryptapus, sirsmokesalot, and Benefactor for carrying things forward.
And to Zelig, rojan, cragv, coaex, balu2, ethought, sgtmoth, truecryptoneer, smalltimer, Philogus, Gekko and boozinbozo (the damn paid clown) for caring, being reliable and consistent and vocal.

I know I left a bunch of cool people out because I ran out of time and interest in scanning the backlog of nearly 400 pages of writing. I'll try to get you next year, and I'm really sorry.  You all give so much. By all rights this coin should be dead, but because you wanted it to live, Uno is alive and doing great. Uno today is one of the top Sha coins, one of the top 30 cryptocurrencies in the world. by all rights it should be dead like a 3000 others, but it's not, because you saw what was special about Uno and held on to it. We have survived so much crap in the past year, it's unbelievable.  But here we are.

You are the U in Uno. ;-)

When this thread began a year ago it looked like it would only last a day and that I would be banned.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg5860798#msg5860798

Anyway, thanks for all you do. You guys are fun to hang out with.  Even when you suck and piss me off you are still good guys. Smiley And for all the times I've sucked and pissed you off, I'm sorry.

See you same time next year; I predict lots more thanks going out in 2016 to lots more people we haven't even met yet.

Again -- sorry I missed you. I knew that thanking individuals would be a hazard of writing this post, but thought I would take the chance anyway.

Uno to the moon!

Take it to Un-Ex, both of you. Or start a new thread.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Branding on: March 23, 2015, 12:39:35 PM
Message From Bryce:

"Just thinking out loud... If you want to have the community work on branding that would be great.

There are two or three logo variations in circulation.

We should pick one and make that our brand. We can use this wallet launch to drive it home. "

-----
We have the legacy Black and Blue Uno logos from 2013, and we have Learminer's 2014 yellow logo that is on the unobtanium.uno website.  We have a wide assortment of swirly cool logos from Prominer.  Only one can make it into the wallet.

Which logo should appear on the 2015 Uno wallet?

While integrity and solvency are important and considered with Un-Ex, trust remains the most important n-factor.  It probably has less to do with whether IMZ likes you, and more to do with whether he is assured that the Un-Ex community goals & interests are supported.

I am far from being the most trusted trader on Un-Ex, and I am not as active as I should be, but I understand that Un-ex operates on a long term perspective. Bitcointalk is littered with the remains of short-term coins that embody neither trust nor community.  So give it a little time.

When I started this thread, I experienced trust issues. It took months and some trials/tribulations for this community to eventually gamble their trust on me. I imagine that is still the situation today.

I enjoy having you in the community, Gekko. There's always something interesting to talk about when you're around.  I appreciate the good things you've done.

Dedicated Android Wallet for UNO - Request funds for development

See the original request here:

We now have 121 of our 125 UNO (at today's price) goal!

udroidNXd1YNoL1DgNu8NktemcnexiBByM

I guess we are so close we might assume this is going to happen. Now you decide if you want to make HashEngineering a dedicated fan Smiley Make them a HODLer!

Thanks everyone for your generosity!

I guess I better get started right away!  In seriousness, I am glad to see that there is support for this project.

I'm very excited about this project.  Has the forthcoming fork for merged mining with Bitcoin been taken into account? I don't want you to expend effort building something that may need changing in a couple of months.

Good morning, IMZ.

Just looking over the Uno charts. There was a fair few traded on Cryptsy & Bittrex today.

Lil' Shooter, now the proud holder of 3 kg's of Uno wants to join us here.  He wrote to me on Reddit and said that when he tried to sign on here, he got this:  http://imgur.com/YwMggeM

So, what do we do?

log in through TOR?
That's great (the part of him wanting to join us).

On the TOR problem, I guess tell him to try and switch different exit nodes on Tor until he gets one that hasn't been used "for evil."

Or connect with us on Cryptocointalk.com
