1381  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best book you ever had? on: June 10, 2014, 08:05:22 PM
It's kinda strange looking back, but I think my favorite book of all time is still Orwell's "1984". Weird that a book I read in school would be the favorite... but it's just so perfect.
1382  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: June 10, 2014, 08:04:12 PM
This forum so I could delete threads like these.

Fat chance -- it's gonna cost a million bucks just to upgrade the forum. Probably worth quite a bit more than that, realistically.

Ad spots have been sold for 27BTC this week so 1400BTC annualized, the forum could be worth 14,000BTC

The potential revenue from the forum far exceed 1,400BTC so I bet the price would be much higher

Also, it is the premier forum for bitcoin, whose community itself is growing exponentially. There is so much value in that potential as well.

The same as a Zombie Apocalypse basically.

Not so much. They are almost polar opposites. Zombies have virtually or literally no cognitive function. Aliens have super-cognitive function (and psychic/kinetic abilities).
1384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To buy or not to buy on: June 10, 2014, 08:01:10 PM
Oh, and don't invest more that you can afford to lose.

This is very key. If you overextend yourself and invest too much, you will be very emotional about your position, and you may end up selling at the worst possible time as a result. Smiley
1385  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: June 10, 2014, 07:59:48 PM
I use btc-e only coz its in Bulgaria Smiley .
It has lowest price always so its not good for selling ur btc.

What other exchange u guys suggest to use in Europe?

I think Bitstamp still has pretty fast SEPA deposits and withdrawals for those in SEPA zone. I wouldn't want to withdraw fiat from BTC-E anyway.
1386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn some Bitcoins on: June 10, 2014, 07:08:58 PM
now a days there are many dice sites offering free bonus bitcoins that is the easiest way to get free bitcoins.

But are these actually bitcoins, that you can immediately withdraw? Or are they a "free roll" type deal, where you have to play through the bonus before withdraw? There is a big difference. Most free deals with play through are simply lost to the house -- that's why they do it.
1387  Economy / Services / Re: Just reached Member status, what's my sig worth? on: June 10, 2014, 07:03:40 PM
Also I think because it's too easy to create new accounts then flip them in digital goods.

Newbies are worthless more or less because they can't even have links in their signatures. But I doubt it's "easy" -- gotta be pretty time-consuming and tedious to churn out Member accounts, because that would take 2 months to achieve.
1388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why have you joined Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2014, 06:58:28 PM
I joined because I was amazed by the protocole and the possibility and to be part of the revolution

I think the protocol is a great technological advancement with all sorts of potential uses. However, I don't understand why people think it's "revolutionary". I don't see it at all.

1390  Other / Off-topic / Re: How secure is your bank's cash machine? on: June 10, 2014, 06:50:50 PM
Are we talking about those ghetto looking machines in the convenience store? Or my bank's ATM? I never touch the former -- hell, some of those are just fakes to swipe your bank information.
1391  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your plan in case of an alien invasion on: June 10, 2014, 06:49:09 PM
What's your plan in case of an alien invasion???

I would probably start by getting my family and friends safe in an underground base. Then start gathering supplies and weapons to start a rebellion. Then get people to fight against the aliens or die trying.
We would just have to all gather up for a plan. the military would do the fighting. wed have to lock doors protect are self’s. keep a guard up. but how come they only work. what are they working on. well they got no other plans but to take over earth. i also don’t know why they keep themselves a secret there more powerful than us . well i would make a plan know yo be ready.

The military can't do nothing against some of these aliens. Some can control you with their minds, disable powerful weapons at will. Perhaps we will have no choice but to submit.... Tongue
1392  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To buy or not to buy on: June 10, 2014, 06:40:50 PM
Well, the current price is a hell of a lot better than $1000 or $1200 -- and people were paying those prices not long ago. I think we will be over $1000 in the coming months, so I think it is a pretty good time to buy, yes.
1393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest wallet on: June 10, 2014, 06:38:23 PM
Whatever you do, don't conflate 3rd party "wallets" like Coinbase with real bitcoin wallets. If you aren't the sole owner of those private keys -- you don't control the bitcoins.
1394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction cost question, for poor people. on: June 10, 2014, 06:37:12 PM
Some people says, transactional fees are "Free". That is what makes crypto currency, better than debit and/or credit cards. {Because they charge huge fees}

But if your transaction fee is set to zero, no miner will pick it up, right?

If you increase it, it would also increase the speed, at which, your transaction would be processed.

Now, how does that help the person, from a 3rd world country, paying in his currency, which is much weaker, than say the USD $.

The guy in USA pays e.g. 0,0007631 / 50 cents US and think it is fair, but the guy in the 3rd world country, pays for example in Argentine Peso and pay 4,064 peso.

The guy in the US cannot buy a hamburger with his 50 cents, but the guy in Argentina, can buy 2 hamburgers with that, so for him it's expensive to pay 0,0007631
to get his transaction processed.

It would not be a viable option for poor countries to accept it as a payment method.

What am I missing?
in my views transaction fees are same.the  fee is .0001.if you campare these bitcoin fees with other like banks they are extremely low as compare to them.

When we are talking about transferring fiat value, this is not necessarily true. Imagine sending a micro payment for $.65, or 0.001 BTC. With a standard input, you would have to pay a 10% fee in order to move that money. That is quite a high percentage.
1395  Economy / Services / Re: XBTec ASICs. We pay for signature. Weekly payouts on: June 10, 2014, 06:31:26 PM
The Op has not updated the first post yet. He can select the deserving members not basing who is the first to post because he has not mention first come first serve basis.

Not really. It has to be first come first serve. Otherwise it needs to be explicitly mentioned.

LOL. I don't really think that's how it works. Anyway, this is all moot. XBTec will decide how to run his own program. Wink
1396  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Member Account [0.02 BTC ONLY] on: June 10, 2014, 05:51:08 PM
Account sellers is low balling.  Smiley

Creating a member account is not as easy as you think. You need to wait at least 2 months to get member account.

Indeed. I am not into this whole account selling business, but it seems like 0.02 is a very low price considering the amount of time that would have to be put in.
1397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn some Bitcoins on: June 10, 2014, 05:46:00 PM
Hello every one.i am also newbie in this forum and want to understand how can i earn money from this forum.Signature Campaigns, can any one explain how it works for earn money.because i don,t know about it.thanks in advance

Once you reach member status you are generally able to participate in signature campaigns. The simplest way to put it, the way you become a member is to post at least 60 times, and post at least once per two week period for ~2 months.

Once you have been promoted to "member" you can find a signature campaign on the forums, sign up by meeting the criteria (usually have positive or neutral trust, and have a certain ranking), the number of posts your account has currently and your payment address.

You should read the OP of the signature campaign as it will tell you hot to get paid. Usually you will need to send a PM to the person handling the campaign with the number of posts you have posted and your BTC address.

Yes, and be aware that you have to generate content.
No "+1" or smiley faces.
So it's actually only worth it if you are really interested and would read the forum anyway.
Spam is not allowed even if you don't have a paid signature. This should be common sense.

Sure, but the signature campaigns did change the nature of spam on this forum. It used to be just spamming referral links or links to shady websites. Now we have people padding post counts. Smiley
1398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction cost question, for poor people. on: June 10, 2014, 05:44:28 PM
To be honest, bitcoin is not ideal for micropayments. It is extremely cheap to send a lot of value, but for small payments (less than $5, for instance), it is not super cheap.
1399  Economy / Services / Re: Lets Have Fun :) 18+ Only! on: June 10, 2014, 05:38:49 PM
I am the official, unofficial bitcointalk blockchain, output, input, mining, verification person. I need to verify you. I have done this before, I am a pro.

This! Won't do business with you unless bitcointalk verified!  Grin

This why I do it. I promised I wouldn't cry................., but it is the other people on this forum, that I am protecting, from being scammed by 40yr old men in their basement. I need start getting a seal that I can put on these post.

All these guys do not realize how easy it is to get a couple video files of a girl talking and waving and through up a couple pics. Look it up guys it's called e whoring and I highly doubt that a girl would come to here to try and make money I would almost bet that they would be talking to a 40 year old man if not a 16 year old boy just like you said

It's very, very easy to tell the difference between a recording and a live feed. Camming is a huge industry. I wouldn't assume this at all.

The ones inhabiting earth are multidimensional beings.  Meaning they have the ability to shapeshift.

Ultimately, we are also multidimensional beings though we have been brainwashed and farmed for so long we have lost our ways from our spiritual powers.

Actually, I think this is pretty on point. However, I think we may not have ever, to date, actually used or controlled these psychic/spiritual powers per se. And I think there are good-natured aliens who would like us to hone these abilities.
