I'll give you 0.001 BTC per week as long as you can reach 15 constructive posts per week. Is this an auction? I'll up this bid to 0.0015 but I demand 20 constructive posts per week! Send me a PM if you're interested, OP. I'm sure you'll come running....

What type of Aliens are we talking about here You know, the type that come down from menacing looking saucers and control you with their mind. Or the ones that look like reptiles, maybe. Or maybe it'll just be some Mars Attacks! type shit. Use your imagination!

We are heading down.
I think we are seeing a head fake rise the last month. I think we go down to 415 in the next two weeks before we go higher.
For days, I couldn't decide one way or the other, but now I am leaning towards a correction soon as well. However, I think $415 is probably wishful thinking for bears. Maybe $550.

To be honest, I am a bit disappointed with Bitfinex. I like the interface and trading tools. But for one thing, the books are quite shallow vs. leveraged positions. And that's another problem I have -- they have a policy of shutting down trading when the market crashes (even though other exchanges are obviously trading), locking margin traders in their position. This is to protect liquidity providers because their book is so shallow.

Bitcoin QT, Electrum and Multi Bit are all quite secure. I would recommend any of them, depending on your needs. As always, the key to keeping your coins safe is cold storage.

Looking at number 2, keep in mind that Cryptsy deposits prompts include this message: "Notice: Do NOT mine directly to your Cryptsy deposit address." I know Vircurex has the same message. They won't credit coins generated.

Indeed, your private keys on Electrum are not at risk of being viewed by nodes. Your public keys, however, are. It is for this reason that it is said that Electrum is not ideal for those wanting a full level of privacy.

If I understood better about bitfinex, I would bet that it would go higher (in the up coming weeks). You do bring some legit observations about the bearish issue (and I did expect 700 for this week already since it hit 680 last week).
Its barely getting 650. Lets see what happens mid to end week.
Market is feeling rather heavy. That is why I exited my position at small loss.....for the nth time in the past phucking week, thus largely devouring the profits I made on the way up (again, less than half of what I could have made if I wasn't a shit trader) I very much agree with your position on leveraged longs. ATH in longs, at this price level and movement, and considering (from my amateur observation of BFX and Stamp on Wisdom) much of this rise on Stamp was push up by BFX market buys....makes me nervous. I still see some people mentioning "short squeeze" here and there. I think the shorts have been squeezed. And if the bullish momentum doesn't start soon, these longs risk feeling the squeeze. (And the books are scary thin for the amount of longs too)

Right now, I'm cooking some Fettuccine Alfredo con Pollo. My mother's recipe for Alfredo sauce simply cannot be beat! Fixing some bread and olive pesto and a nice fresh salad as well. This is what I like to cook.

At first, it was to make money. And hell, that's still the primary reason. But it's also become a very useful method of payment, in part for its ability to be pseudonymous when making payments. And as a store of value.

chemicals are not for me Both tobacco and weed are natural herbal products, much better than all those synthetic factory-made products out there. True. It's good to keep in mind, though, that there is a big difference between clean-cut, additive free tobacco and a Marlboro Red. I think a lot of people think they are the same. The stuff they put in there is not natural.

What's your plan in case of an alien invasion???
I would probably start by getting my family and friends safe in an underground base. Then start gathering supplies and weapons to start a rebellion. Then get people to fight against the aliens or die trying.
Where are you going to find an underground base? Do you have some sort of bunker underneath your house? When the aliens invade, you won't have time to find an underground base!

I imagine if any of it makes its way to an exchange, it would be in small trickles. Most likely situation is that this will really soak up off-exchange buying pressure. And that could spill over to the exchange rate, for sure.

My question is if u see something u would like to buy and this item is offered at a lower price if paid using bitcoins, providing that you don't already have a wallet or coins would you take the time to set up a wallet and buy bitcoins just to be able to receive a discount on the item u wish to purchase? I believed atm most people would not bother and pay full price, WHY IS THIS SO?
But it's not just for the first time -- if you start having some BTC on hand, you will always get these sort of discounts. IMO, in the future, some market niches (adult entertainment industry, for one) will use BTC and will give discounts for people to use it. No chargebacks...

I doubt it. Part of Ebay's business model is being very consumer-friendly. That involves enforcing returns/refunds. And that's a big problem when it come to BTC.

LOL, I messaged a friend to get in on this campaign. That was like 6-8 hours ago. Looks like all the Jr Members beat him to it. XBTec: you should open it up for a handful of reputable Senior/Hero members.... I doubt he'll do that, but who really knows? Paying for Full Members and under are cheaper than Senior or Hero. That would be more money out of his pockets if he does so. Sure, but why do campaigns pay more for Senior Members? Because they can have much bigger and more noticeable signatures. You can barely see the signatures of Members...

While the Heartbleed OpenSSL exploit existed, weren't passwords compromised? We were told to change passwords. I imagine a lot of the less active or inactive people did not bother.

Personally, I never saw the appeal. I buy physical gold and silver as a hedge/store of value, but was never interested in trying to incorporate crypto into that. I suppose they look kind of cool. Not worth the markup, generally, though.
