over-pushing kids into adult life is wrong..
dont u think that kid needed to enjoy his childhood a bit ?
perenting done wrong, imho

Well, it's hard to know without more specifics, but I tend to agree. Childhood is so short -- it ought to be cherished, not rushed through.
1342  Other / Off-topic / Re: WORLD'S LARGEST GUMMY BEAR!!! MUST SEE!!!!! on: June 11, 2014, 08:32:47 PM
I'm not gonna lie. I expected bigger. Much, much bigger. I'll bet there's been bigger gummy bears than this before. Tongue

I use the core QT client for my cold storage. For my online/day-to-day coins, I just use Blockchain.info's online wallet. If I'm holding coins, they aren't held on 3rd party sites/exchanges.

If you want to see, how much has gone into the development of just bitcoin, browse through Satoshi's posts. He/they/she/it  Smiley has put a lot of thinking into making it, what it is today. See below:

Indeed. But it is important to remember that there may be aspects of the protocol that could be implemented better. And as we run into problems (block limit, for instance), developers need to stay on their toes.

I'm in EU, want to sell BTC  for SEPA bank wire

I have read in another thread that bitstamp works well for SEPA withdrawals. Smiley

Haha, bitstamp is currently freezing user's funds due to "KYC laws". They make you fill out a ridiculous questionnaire before they give you the funds.
Try /anxprobyt]ANXPRO. We feature SEPA withdrawals and deposits, and our fees are also as low as 0.05%.

I sign up, I submit documents, how long it take to verify

Your request will be processed within 24 hours. Usually it's within 12 hours.

Thanks I already verify and sell my bitcoins withdraw was quick and easy
I recomend this exchange
also can i use paypal

Most exchanges will not work with Paypal due to their chargeback policies. The one exception I have heard of is Virwox, but I have also heard they have very high fees and low limits (at least at first).
1346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All my BTC were stolen from QT desktop wallet by this individual on: June 11, 2014, 06:46:12 PM
Windows is actually the worst choice of OS for security, especially if you do not have Anti Virus. Next time, move a portion of your coins to cold storage so it cannot be stolen.

what if i told you i run win7 on a comp with about 30 different wallets; no antivirus, no firewall, no nothing.
last time i did a reinstall was 2.5 years ago, and was never infected.
all it takes is common sence, and u will never pick up infection (unless there realy is a zero-day exploit lol)

For the most part, yes, all it takes is common sense. But every once in a while, even the most sensible people can make a lapse in judgment. Smiley

What about blockchain bloat? This seems like a lot of unnecessary information/data to be burdening the blockchain with.
1348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what btc exchange on: June 11, 2014, 06:42:08 PM
Do you mean as a trading platform? Or to withdraw fiat? I still think Bitstamp is probably best for withdrawing fiat (especially in Europe). But I prefer BTC-E for trading.

He was asking about our exchange, ANXPRO.

Oh, I was actually responding to the first post in the thread. I probably should have quoted it, now that I have read through it a bit.
1349  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Softwares For Keeping PC Secure ? on: June 11, 2014, 06:17:48 PM
I take lengths to protect my accounts since Windows can be insecure no matter what. But I use Malwarebytes and Windows Defender.

I have friends that are struggling to "make it" in entertainment -- music, acting. They say "don't quit your day job" for a reason. Tongue
1351  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favourite holiday destination & why? on: June 11, 2014, 06:13:25 PM
Honk Kong is up there for me. Beautiful, cosmopolitan city, and bustling with activity and nightlife. It's a fun place to spend a few weeks.
1352  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help. Need to buy 1 Coin on: June 11, 2014, 06:08:38 PM

Tried Virwox- max 78$ deposit - doubtful they would let me deposit multiple times

Seriously? I've seen Virwox recommended before as an easy way to get money in/out (if with high fees), but $78 max deposit -- what kind of business model is that....?

Yes, I even emailed their support a page of details and information to try and get them to increase my max. I received one word and a URL as a response, directing me to their FAQ that states the levels of an account determine your max deposit. Level one max is $78 dollars. After a couple weeks you can deposit more than $78

Ah, I see. Maybe they have problems with chargebacks, so new users must wait to build up a certain level of trust.
1353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Way to Earn btc? on: June 11, 2014, 06:07:36 PM
well i can do jobs for anyone but wants payments ...

I can work as typewriter logo designer web designer any thing.. Smiley

Get a job in real life and save as much as you can in BTC

yes, it's possible to earn 0.01 BTC per day or even 0.1 BTC or even more.
There are many ways to make money online, this thread is very good https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525183.0

0.01 is easily achievable but 0.1/day? Maybe if you are extremely motivated and advertising for PD

Yeah, 0.01 is definitely achievable. An order of magnitude higher is going to be a lot harder to grind out. 36.5 BTC/year sounds pretty good to me. Cool
1354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is This possible.. Ads to each btc address on: June 11, 2014, 06:06:13 PM
The only place I see messages in the blockchain is on blockchain.info. My desktop wallets don't seem to show them. So that puts a damper on things.
1355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: trying to understand bitcoin and how to get to 1 on: June 11, 2014, 06:03:26 PM
I recommended looking in the following sections Project Development Services and Service Discussions. You can find various bounties for helping. Also try and get your posts up and increase your activity then you can get on a signature campaign which details can be found in Marketplace. Last thing stay away from gambling section  Wink

You got that right. Many bitcoiners have lost their stash this very way. If you do gamble -- have a plan, and don't chase your losses....
1356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins are not user friendly what-so-ever on: June 11, 2014, 06:02:28 PM
Unfortunately, if a transaction is sent with insufficient fees, it could be a good 2-3 days before it is spendable again. I agree with the general sentiment that bitcoin is not user-friendly -- I hope this will improve with time and development.

bitcoin is still young, and what we see today in the world of bitcoin is a fraction of that what it will become in comming times.
ofc its hard, and sometimes looks slow/dumb, but this is just the begining
ultimately, unless they hard fork btc, i believe btc will be replaced by a far better version of a crypto coin.

Sure, I agree that the infrastructure and applications around bitcoin will be far greater than they are today. But it can be frustrating nonetheless, especially when trying to turn other people onto bitcoin.
1357  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quit smoking on: June 11, 2014, 05:53:46 PM
Do some research on how most smokers die and the amount of suffering they have to endure before they die.

This alone should give most smokers a very strong motivation to stop smoking.

If you have been smoking for many many years, then yes, there is no point to quit as the damage has already been done.

There is so much wrong in this post. Studies have actually shown that quitting by a certain age (sometime ~30) means you can reverse the damage done to lungs. And honestly, the fear mongering stuff doesn't help all that much.
1358  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you rather:... on: June 11, 2014, 05:48:58 PM
Would you rather: Make a lot of money doing a job that makes you miserable or barely make ends meet doing something you love? Thoughts?

I'd prefer to barely make ends meet doing something I love, but it's a bit more complex than that. What if you can't make ends meet that way? Tongue
1359  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: June 11, 2014, 05:47:20 PM
I've used Firefox forever, but recently downloaded Chrome. It's annoying getting used to the differences, but it does seem lighter (less memory usage), so that's a huge plus.
1360  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quit smoking on: June 11, 2014, 05:46:14 PM
Can't be easy. I had a friend who smoked 3 packs a day and quit cold turkey. Insane. I've smoked 3-5 cigarettes a day for years, and I don't see that ending while I'm still working some crap job.... need my smoke breaks.
