True. But things being equal rent and maintenance is more expenses.

It's a waste of money to pay to host equipment unless you absolutely don't have the power at home available. Live with the heat and noise.
Size is for convenience. Both units throw out a lot of heat and noise the sp more so because the fans are smaller.
Wouldn't worry about durability so much as both units will be outdated by october.

I have reason to believe nothing is actually in stock and all is shipped from china (i.e bitmain themselves)
I asked before purchasing and the response was they come from China so I figured they ship to the US then redistribute or something like that. Has anyone gotten a reply yet? I'm still waiting for a tracking number for #1115. I figured after 4 business days somebody would let me know where my shipment is at the very least. I think there was a holiday out there exactly the last 4-5 days.

Or just unplug the washer or dryer or oven and use that outlet for now.

Radio shack. Maybe. 15 amp preferred.

Perhaps someone can help. I ordered a S2 and it just arrived today, I am in the U.S., but the power plug that came with the unit seems to be different than a standard U.S. plug. It has 3 prongs, but they are all flat, has anyone else encountered this and can I just go and buy a proper cord from a store to replace it?
Could be a 240 plug. I'm sure you can disconnect from psu and use a regular 115 plug cable.

I have had 10 and they all worked flawlessly. I guess there are lemons once in awhile.
Remember they warranty for 90 days if defective you send back pay postage and they ship to you back and they pay their end of shipping.
If that's the case it won't be worth it, will cost at least $40 for me to ship it back to them. I assume they won't ship me one back until they get the first one. So $40, at least 1 week without a miner, chances are I will get charged taxes again on the next unit so add another $40. All in all if that's the case I got jipped and will not get what I paid for. I hope they realize on a $200 product it is cheaper to just send replacement boards then to have me ship back and them send a new unit. Yes. The shipping expense amd time mining is a big problem and it sucks because they are so far. This is the dilemma my friend had with a unit that was missing some screws and a bent frame but it did not affect hashing so he kept it.

You make it sound like there are a lot better deals on asic machines out there price/power/size

Lets assume the Neptune can come in Jul 1, and mine 5 BTC in its life time and the FREE Neptune Sept 1 which would mine 1.5 BTC lifetime.
Id take the refund money and buy some TH riight now is better, even 5 SP10.

I don't know about you guys but I'm starting to sell out my Ants. I think they are starting to become too low hashrate machines.
Maybe in 2-4 weeks if BTC is at 660-670, longer if higher. I am hoping that bitmain will EOL S1, as this should increase the resale value. Asic equipment cannot rise in value faster than the difficulty jumps. In 2-4 weeks will be 14-16 Billion difficulty. My miners are already profitable in BTC, now i just need to maximize the resell value in $$ to subtract electricity expenses and have profit in both $$ and BTC. Now is a good time to sell btc priced equipment or the btc itself, as the price will probably come back down to around $520-530 usd for BTC later.

Sorry for your loss. But I did see an August Pre-Order sell for $430. No further comments.

Avenger is very good with the numbers. We know for every mercury, Saturn and Jupiter it was at least sell 1 and build 1-2 for their farm. Neptune's are similar story. I figure they are accounting for at least 13-15 PH to system now.

KNC leading people to believe Q1 launch was a possibility is totally Unethical and UnProfessional. Q1/Q2
1 Billion difficulty in beginning of January is different that 14 Billion end of June.

Agreed DIY Kits are more for the RMA shipping problems because of the s2 design/architecture of unit. Not necessarily for increased sales.
They are between the road of clearing out farms of s1 and reorganizing the chips on new boards.
s2 was an experiment in increased power efficiency with wattage, BUT needed more chips.
s3 should be new and better chip design.

More like .78 from June 1, to July 1. assume 15% rise jumps and .15/kw electricity

There was a big conference of chinese mining manufactures. Im sure they discussed fixing prices to maximize profit.
This is part of their culture, "sadly" CLEAR case of demonstrating that its all about the dollars and less about the consumer . YES

I have received 6xS1 Antminers yesterday. 2 Out of 6 of these Antminers was not working properly! Their Fan was not working and when I opened their Fan I understood that they are for sure Second Hand, The Radiator behind Fan was full of dust and it certainly show that Bitmain is selling his worked S1 Antminers to market! It is not a good way of business!!! This is a picture of My Dusty second hand, received S1 Antminer: For more quality picture visit here: http://forgeco.in/images/Second_Hand_S1.jpgHi, Please PM us your order ID, our tech guy will help you out. May you confirm above board dated 16/12/2013? All units shipped out recently must be assembled with new boards, which were produced recently. I sent you the Order ID's Also all boards I received before 29/5/2014 are dated 16/12/2013 They all ordered within last month. I never received an S1 with a spec of dust on it and I get them about every week. Either very bad luck or I call BS And when were your boards manufactured?? 16/12/2013 written on it. I know. I was talking to Bjalbert since he seemed to be calling you out and claimed he never received an old machine.
