If you are a high roller, you should seriously consider moving some fiat to btc-e just to leave some ridic lowball orders out there, it might be a huge +ev move in the long run.

Like when btc dropped to $102 in Feb because some guy hit the sell button instead of buy.
1062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 02, 2014, 12:42:37 AM
Its .0127 now on btce

i wish a knew Chinese to read their chat when they saw that btc-e dump  Cool

Forums? Where? I tried to check what people were saying period but LTC talk is dead Tongue

LTC used to follow BTC like 1:30-35, now the ratio is like 1:75-80
1064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 01, 2014, 06:07:34 PM
EMA flattening out at 613.
1065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 01, 2014, 05:47:54 PM
Is overbought now, needs to come back under $614

lmao, i wonder what wild guess i would make at what price you sold at  Cheesy Grin

I dont trade it, only looking at technical charts.

Last week was oversold at $552, came back up over $600.

If you think it is going to the moon 700+  before it drops down you are wishing alot

1068  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [In Stock]$1699 for 1T BTC miner,to be delivered in 24hours on: July 01, 2014, 01:50:54 AM
hosting miners available from July 8th,professional data center,a good station for hosting, hosting fee ranges 165-185USD per month.

On July 10th 1TH will cost under $1000, do you think Dragon miner factory will be able to match Bitmain then?
Dragon miner price always is more competitive than Bitmain,i saw Bitmain 1T delivery miner price is still 1775USD.I don't know what is price on July 10,but its price reaching to 1000USD won't happens almostly.

Bitmain new 478 GH unit (.77 watts/gh)  for .75 btc ($479) is interesting.
1069  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1775 per unit on: June 30, 2014, 10:37:47 PM
Bitmain needs to deliver a decent upgrade package for his loyal S2 customers - who will not see anything like an ROI - which the S1 and S3 will...

[edit]
which the S1 (did) and S3 (most likely) will...

The s3 will ROI .55 btc

Is a BIG Difference.   2 x better value than s2.
1071  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 30, 2014, 04:33:11 AM
With no new ASIC hardware able to positive ROI because of increasing difficulty I think it is more risk for the large miners to hold coins.  Most are selling as they are mined.

And what is this new equipment that large miners are buying, nothing can ROI unless you are the manufacturer of the actual chips.

still wondering if those vrms are holding out? now that we know they are the 40a model...and already over that plus high heat...wonder how long these babies will last?

They are decent quality, running them 20% out of spec as long as temps are kept within control shouldn't have any meaningful impact since the mining gear will be obsolete before their reduced lifespan starts becoming a factor.

However since it's KNC building these I fully expect them to forget the TIM for the VRMs on some units and them to accidentally use cheese for heat sinks on others, in other words if shit starts failing blame KNC and their shit QC and not the ericsson VRMs since they should be fine under controlled conditions Sad

Will last just long enough to provide heat when the winter starts in november.  And it's mining power is more than electricity
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 29, 2014, 12:19:04 AM
So now people like KNC?

Did you not noticed that only 3 people are happy with KNC?
They are just sucking up.

Please do not give those Scammy F*ckers your hard earned money.
JUST DON`T!!

The ones who are happy only because they received something that they can mine with.  It wont make back the initial investment, but might get back 5 BTC lifetime.  So long story short is they can lose less.

I had 10 S1's and never a bad fan either.

Pressure from neptunes?

The neptunes can not compete against the S3.

Most  likely the S3 will be a much superior product that may ROI.
Here I will provide a basic comparison:

S3:
Good:
1. May ROI.
2. More reliable, uses 4 pci-e connectors to supply 400 Watts of power, since each PCI connector will be using 100 watts, and they are rated for 150W, it is very safe and reliable.
3. Based on S1 design which has proven to be very reliable.
4. Very important, sells from stock, makes it easy to calculate possible ROI.
5. Enclosed case, with 2 fans on each end for improved cooling.
6. even though chips are 28 nm tech, they are not overly overclock and therefore yield 0.8 W per GHahs/s, that leaves room for overclocking.
5. 500 Ghash/s
6. coupons?

Bad:
1. if priced to high may not ROI.

Neptune:
Good:
1. 0.7 Watt per Ghash/s.
can not think of anything, other than being 20 nm tech, but highly overclocked already.
Bad:
1. It will not ROI by far, it is highly overpriced.
2. the pci-e connector is being highly stressed, pushing 400w on a connector that was designed for 150W is not only a fire hazard, it guarantees that in a short time the connector will burn especially if ambient temperature is high.
3. poor case design, each neptune is actualy a box which is 1/5 of a neptune, and the controller  board has no case.
4. no room for overclocking, the pci-e is already stressed, in fact underclocking may be needed in order to prevent the cables from burning, in which case the speed whould equial the speed of an S3, but the S3 having a much lower cost, selling from stock, and more reliable.
5. already on the knc forum it can be seen they suffer from the dead core problem, jupiters had this problem, but on the neptune it seems to be more severe, decreasing the effective hash rate.
6. many power supplies do not work with neptune.
7. pre order only, does not sell from stock, guaranteed not to ROI.
8. on Batch 0,1,2 refund are taking forever, and seemed to have stopped.
9 . batch 3 no refunds.
10. miner protection is false.
11. hash while you wait is an scam, after refunds had stopped it was anounce that it could cost a neptune.

If I had to choose between S3 or a neptune, the choice is obvious, the S3 is the way to go.
Conclusion the neptune will have no influence on S3 purchases.

For the record no retail btc ASIC machine even comes close to ROI.

1TH .7 watts/GH system would need to be priced under $1000 usd.  Assuming Btc price $600, Electricity .16,  Difficulty jumps @ 18%

Dag.

You should have shipped them back in the original boxes they came in.  The foam is pretty good.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 27, 2014, 08:16:33 AM
So its a single-rail psu.

BUT each of the 8 pcie slots are factory defaulted to 20 Amps.  Changeable up to 40 max each through the link software.  stupid!

Almost as stupid as KNC only including one 6 pin pcie power plug on the board.

omfg

Wtf is a virtual rail

Corsair say's the 1200i is single rail but it really isn't. It has multiple rails that have OCP protection to 20A. You can increase the OCP protection beyond 20A using the link software. This power supply is designed to work best in a PC where you can over clock the rails to 40A using the link software.

No wonder the price is so cheap compared to other similar wattage units.

The AX series Corsairs aren't cheap. They're some of the most expensive PSUs on the market.

Your right.  I was thinking of the EVGA Supernova 1300 which is on sale now for $150 after rebate.
