I thought a1 chip was good, apparantly not.  runs too hot, maybe need the increase speed to make the gh
1482  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] AntMiner S1 - 10 for 3500 SHIPPED on: April 30, 2014, 03:22:03 AM
going for about $340 there, the only thing that sucks is the 9% juice and another 3 for paypal.
1483  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The Best Mining Rigs Are Now Barely Profitable -- Now What? on: April 29, 2014, 02:17:46 PM
And then the question is, who's going to want to mine when it's not even a little bit profitable to do so then (unless you're a manufacturer)? Embarrassed

Alot of makers will stop making and mining the asics.
1484  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.604 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 29, 2014, 01:39:02 PM
Good job with the new coupons for loyal customers BItmain.
1485  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.604 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 29, 2014, 01:27:27 PM
Looks like its down Sad

I managed to buy 1 Antminer before the price reduction to 0.55, will it get dispatched within 24hrs as advertised or after 4th of May just like the new priced miners?

All people must stop doing this crazy sell off.
Site crashed because all you tryin buy something which will be so chaep within days that you all will cry "or i should wait few more days"...

Keep hitting F5 this will help u muppets.

I don't think you have any idea how websites work if you think that we've crashed it. Plus I don't understand why do you care about other people's money, are you an independent financial adviser or something?

Agreed, Servers are not designed to just suddenly go offline when a surge of traffic hits it. Could be a number of reasons or its just down while they update the website saves it getting spammed. Also he thinks he is big adviser on here  Grin Grin

Ohh, resseller showed up. how nice. Did you try fix your feedback by giving yoursleve more trust from other account?
And your ass licking pm about your useless coupons-save it for some one like this newbie above.

Maybe they use a cheap host.  Or home server with dsl service.  Lol
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 29, 2014, 01:23:48 PM

P.S. Don't forget KNC have said they are hoping to set up 2 more datorhall's, pretty much as soon as they can. So you'd have to assume they are waiting for Neptune to be ready and then they will build them asap. So those who don't think the difficulty will sky-rocket are fooling themselves. And those who get later batch Neptunes are screwed, regardless if you get one or two.

Presumably if this is true it is equally true for those who purchase Spondoolies SP30 machines.

i'm in same boat waiting for refund since 14th April
on 24th April I emailed them (Natalie) and saying if it would be easier for them to pay me in BTC with my BTC addess in email,
and she replied now will be refunded in BTC instead of USD via bank transfer.
If they were to refund me via bank transfer it would have to be in AUD not USD as I'm in Australia.

but still waiting for BTC to be refunded.

Either knc sending bank will convert the usd to aud or your bank will receive usd and convert to aud.  May be a small conversion fee
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 29, 2014, 12:33:03 PM
They must be feeling some pressure now that Cointerra has lowered pricing for the 1.6 th system to $3400 for multiple units.  And Bitmain went to $2600 for 1Th.  Both with immediate shipping.   And Spondoolies sp10 at bat.
1489  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The Best Mining Rigs Are Now Barely Profitable -- Now What? on: April 29, 2014, 12:28:37 PM
I stand by my estimate now that it costs manufacturers $500-600 per to produce.

In 6 months these machines will not mine much anymore but can be good space heaters or broken down for parts disassembly.
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 29, 2014, 04:10:35 AM
Batch 1 & 2 Customers get Free Neptune with their order doubling their hash rate.
Batch 1 & 2 customers who purchased with $900 bitcoins and refunded recently got double their BTC back.

But isnt the bitcoin worth half the price now even thought you have 2x the amount of coins, is the same value.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 29, 2014, 03:03:35 AM
Ebay is not that good anymore either. Basically I hope that infrastructure/utilization will increase, increasing fees to miners and that will in the long run == more then just buying and holding. In the present we have soo many manufacturers in "delay" that it is NOT worth pre-order as the "odds" are against it. IMHO this hardware industry is about to fall on it's face and miners(GHS) will become dirt cheap as the greedy phucks realize their dreams will not be and need to pay the bills. I will be waiting to help bail them out @ a 90% discount of course.

There is already a project developing to begin using them as space heaters for next Fall/Winter  lol
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 29, 2014, 02:55:30 AM
s1gs3gv == KnC Shill..

Neither miner is profitable @ $450/BTC

antMiner S1 is the only one that comes close to being worth firing up if you intend on converting BTC immediately. IMHO it is best to buy BTC and hold wait for these A$$-Hat manufacturers to get over themselves, then buy GHS for pennies as that is their value without a serious BTC rebound.

Sorry, I'm not a KNC shill. Just a guy with a sense of fair play.  Buying BTC in this environment is a mugs game. You'll be panic selling when it hits 200 later this summer.

If the purpose of mining is to obtain btc coins, why would it be worse to buy the coins outright instead of buying a miner.

If btc price went to $200 this summer your $450 coins bought are valued at $200, if you use that potential money and bought a miner like a Neptune,  at 38 Billion difficulty it is worthless in mining, maybe sell on ebay.
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 29, 2014, 02:22:12 AM
Cheap self serving fear mongering, nothing more, nothing less.
KNC said in their recent announcement that they will stand by and support their loyal customers, and I believe them.

Your an idiot IMHO!

Flattery will get you nowhere sweetheart. You're going to feel even worse when all the loyal KNC customers are mining away on their 3th Neptunes in June and on 6TH in August.

By then when difficulty is 20-30 Billion it is a major Trainwreck already!
1494  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.604 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 29, 2014, 02:14:42 AM
KNC is doing the same thing now, they are throwing 2.4 PH of old Jupiter stuff on the market now.

Could be a trend of maximizing old farms.

Manufacturers cost is probably about $500-600 per TH now.
1495  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 50 Terraminer IV's NEW for Sale (1.6 GH/S batch units) on: April 28, 2014, 04:06:53 PM
50 Holy Crap.  Are you joining the early train out like Knc and Bitmain.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 28, 2014, 09:12:08 AM
This is solid proof.

This is happening at another large mining outfit also.

They are blowing out old inventory as they upgrade to the newer machines.
1497  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 28, 2014, 08:49:02 AM
So brand new equipment is not usually the best.   Lol

When I sold my 10 s1 last month I advertised them as thoroughly tested.  As new.
I sold mine as used, but already overclocked and optimized with latest firmware and cgminer Wink

yes I manually upgraded all the units to the latest firmware also.
1498  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 28, 2014, 08:37:42 AM
I guess it's difficult to tell if one doesn't know the quality of the products leaving their assembly line... maybe they need to mine with them for a few weeks to make sure they actually work properly because 50% of them need to go back for repairs before they are stable enough to ship... just a thought...

The biggest problem with the S2 seems to be that they aren't designed and/or packed properly for shipping.

Most of the BITMAIN miners I've received out-gassed like crazy for 2-3 days. They were clearly not used. I wish they would mine with them for a few days and spare me the fumes. As you say this would also address some of the DOA issues.

1499  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS CoinTerra IV TerraMiner™ IV 1.6 TH/s on: April 28, 2014, 07:58:07 AM
I was just going to give these to people who where interested... but.. meh.

I think this has something to do with asking an amount (4700$) that your miner will never produce under current market prices.

10.30 BTC in a year until crazy difficulty = ~4400 $ --> Net loss 300 $ + shipping and whatnot.
https://cex.io/calc

Good luck.

The problem with that calculator is it doesnt factor electricity.  Pushing about 1900 watts to power that thing it would be lucky to make back $2000 in its lifetime.  Meaning about 49 Billion difficulty it mines almost zero after electric.
1500  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: April 28, 2014, 12:48:54 AM
You're lucky to mine $2000 out of that machine @ current prices.
