I take it everyone gets a free Tesla helicoptered to their home and Biden is going to teach all American squirrels how to run on treadmills to generate electricity?

Sure, he'll just generate an extra billion bitcoins and give everyone a Tesla.

Oh wait, he can't do that. Hm, does Tesla take DOGE?

It's just so hard to take profits. I never took any profit in the last 8 years. And it's always this greedy thinking "what if I take profits and we go higher...". I bet many here are trapped in this swampy thinking as well no?

My first goal was to take profits at 40k. Then I Moved it to 50k. Then I said ok 60k for sure. And so on... Now I say ok 95k.

My recommendation is to take a bit of profit at every major pump. Not much, just a little pin money so that way if it goes down you can think "well, I have this little pile of money from when it was up, all is well" and if it goes up MOAR you don't feel like you sold the stash.

Perfect example of a Dogecoin holder.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSpQx-U989o

What a fucking carry on. I would have given up after 3 - 4 attempts.

I watched the entire thing with countless adverts in between.

No joke one of the early adverts was for headache tablets. I can see why!

Now back to Jack Vale fart videos.

Ads? Man, Adblock is really nice in getting rid of that. Without it I don't think it would be possible to watch UTube.

But yes, it fits the mentality of a DOGE HODLer (every minute your coins are worth LESS!!!) perfectly.

That is a great video.

I was thinking: For the general masses, who expect to have their money inflated away from them, who are happy with the powers that be controlling the price of their wealth, something like DogeCoin is friendly, familiar, and gives them good feels when they get fucked over. I mean they're used to it and would probably just be confused by something stable, reliable, and reasonable like Bitcoin.

So no wonder it's becoming the common man's coin.....

newest M1 imac limitations are stupid-it looks like they are just large ipads on a stand. I actually miss Jobs tremendously.
At least he was innovating and Cook is good at just one thing-selling.
I surmise that they will deliver "pro" version soon, alas, I need a new one now and probably will not wait.

Why even get one? What can you do on it that can not be done on another device? (or is it done differently ...)

Mac Minis made really nice little servers. I liked em, but with each release of OS/X it becomes less and less a tool and more a marketing platform. Thanks but no, I think when my systems are up I'll switch to Linux and deal.

Pity, I really liked Mach.

Isn't that due to Boomers retiring/dying off?

I'm standing in my shed trying to get a bunch of old KNC Titan cubes running again. So far I'm up to 250mh, and one of my controller boards has a bad SPI socket line.

Man, I remember this crazy....

I wonder how long and hard they pump the doggie 🐶.

Ahh maybe for a while longer.
I do not know. But I will say I'm not buying DOGE, it's a joke but if taken seriously is literally 180 degrees from anything that Bitcoin stands for.

However when the PPS rate is 390% to mine Litecoin (the coin to pay hookers with), I'll bring the sleeping dragons back to life...

Besides, you should be aiming to increase your overall wealth by minimum 10% each year. Then you only need to worry about choosing “his and her” matching colour Lambos... or his/his (Bob)

well, three really: yours, your wifes, and your wifes boyfriend*

*all genders to be adjusted to taste of course.

Interesting. My GF has to buy her own Lambo from her own money. Wife wants Lexus.

You are crying because Bitcoin is on sale?

Daaaaaaamn,

What’s gonna happen next?

Think of Elon Musk's Altcoin Starship blowing up on the landing pad......

I remember these ASICs. They weren't the best quality however they sure were profitable ASICs if you bought at the right time. I remember the KnC Neptunes on how they were pulling something like 500 Watts or so from a single PCIe cable. I had some of them and remember questioning if I should leave the house when the cables were hot to the touch.

Then there are those that got their shipment delayed by like a year or 2. Got the ASICs and basically just ebay'd it because it wasn't profitable at all for most home setups. Crazy that its profitable again.

Oddly enough they were even profitable then: Litecoin was stuck at $2 a coin and was pretty much dead, then it ripped up to 50 or so and for a year or so mining was very profitable. Then the L3 series came out and they're about twice as efficient so there you go. Last I mined with them was in 2019, then I stuck em in the closet.

The design was... not great: The stamped metal cases were junk, and yes they pulled way too much power through that plug which caused it to overheat, lift the ground then it happily blew up because it tried to pull ground from the 10 pin ribbon cable. That would blow a die out at least. I put better quality plugs (nickel instead of that crap brass) and they could handle 300watts/80mh per cube.

The other problem was the controller: For 50 cents they could have put optoisolators between the board chip and the cubes. But no, they didn't and in addition to that damn ground loop a cube that wasn't plugged in right would blow out the controller *and* the cube and sometimes other cubes as well. Then you had to swap the FPGA to get it going again, did a lot of those :-)

But the thing was made in like 2014 or so, and it's 2021 and now profitable again. That's just the outside of insane. :-)

(PS: The current reward is 280% PPS. That's nuts)

I can't think WHY Turkey would ban Crypto.
A desperate attempt to limit the people's horizon so that the TRY maybe somehow recovers. Spoilers: it won't, and the BTC ban will only make it worse for them since BTC will simply be used underground instead, lol.

Yep, say bye bye to tax revenue from bitcoin transactions. Of course a few people will be "caught" and an old lady or two will be executed or something like that. The usual.
375  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2021, 11:11:34 AM

Of course. Turkey has debased their currency into shit, but the slaves citizens are forced to continue using it. Otherwise who would continue to make their dear leaders rich?

Same old story.

I can't believe this, but I have been mining DOGE with a pair of Titan cubes and the things are.....

profitable.

It's like dragons have been sleeping in my attic, now I'm going upstairs, dusting them off and thinking "Really?Huh"

377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2021, 01:03:19 AM
I'm going to take advantage of all these idiots buying doge and put a volatility bot out there and kill on btc/doge.

Gotta take advantage of these seriously shit shitcoins and make some corn on em.

I gotta say, what the fuck is wrong with people? Well at least my son is not selling any of his bitpennies for Doge, but I will say the Titans are once again fucking profitable.

That statement alone should turn the world upside down. I may even dig some more of them out of the attic, and swap whatever I mine for sats....

Oi.

they are not going to stack the supreme court.

*munches popcorn*
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 15, 2021, 12:01:27 AM
Weird stuff is going on. Yes BTC is kind of putt putting but my kid is going on about his DOGE mining (I've reactivated a few Titans, and they are fucking PROFITABLE?HuhHuh ON DOGE?Huh? IT'S THE GOD OF SHITCOINS!!!!!)

So what's up? People just nuts? I'm not seeing relative movement on LTC, it's still pegged at .004 to a BTC instead of the .012-.018 before the 2019 implosions.

Any advice on how to stop Smoking Cigarettes?  Grin

I gave up pipes and cigars a long time ago. Part of it was switching to a different stim drug (coffee, now meth), the other part was restricting when and where I could light up. Now it's down to craps tables and bars in Vegas. And yes, it's still nice.

The other oddity is to find something to do with your hands and mouth. I still chew on pens, and hold them just like cigarettes....
