1921  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto will rival or replace fiat in 10 years? on: February 17, 2022, 06:40:08 PM
Never allow ?   Even in USSR people still used dollars to trade despite it being totally outlawed, why because it was the most efficient way to trade.   The free market is substantially more powerful then governments even military based dictatorships.
I would still think it will take more then 5 years before the majority or even a large amount of trade is carried out via alternative digital assets.  I think generally the path of least resistance is what will occur, most people are poor and hold onto their money only for a few days a week before some other entity has it.    If we all had 1 years worth of wages to take care of (in cash) we'd not be using the junk standard that is FIAT currently but most are transitionary in their use of currency & so to digital must be efficient in that type of immediate use economy in order to take over.
If not dollar what medium are they going to use? It can make their life more complicated but they prefer to stick on using dollar and disregard its restriction just to continue their business. Free markets would not call for this name if without a reason but they call it free market because people can do whatever they want and they cant be controlled by the governments and other forces.

5 years is a long wait and during that time frame, a lot of changes or happening are already expected but for now it is to early for cryptos to take over as lots or people still do not know how it works. They can take their time and continue using fiat no need to hurry.
1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Use cowswap if you don't have ether to pay fees on other dexes on: February 17, 2022, 06:06:19 PM
What title says really, cowswap is fork of uniswap and allows you to pay fees in token you are trading.

https://cowswap.exchange/

Thats enticing since most dont want to spend their eth or any L1 to pay for fees. This is etherdelta style before, gone the days they are still the top dex. I think cowswap introducing a good idea here and also many traders gonna like it especially those who love to trading using mininal fees. But do they have ratio of the fee? Or fixed amount whether it could be deducted? Example like 0.005eth worth of tokens as fee or how do they based the fee?
I do not mind spending my coin as long as I can trade the coin I am trading but the problem that I face most of the time is, I do not have the coin required to pay the fee to be able to trade. Cowswap is a big help in this matter because I can instead use other coins in my wallet but I think cowswap wont support every coins right? That will still be a problem to me because majority of the coins on my wallet are non popular coins or coins that I only got from airdrops and bounties. Are there traders that likes to pay a high fee?

I believe no but all traders like it if they are paying less fee most especially if your a poor trader. Have not visit cowswap yet but if its look like etherdelta, that's great as I already use this exchange before.
1923  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 29 Year Old Legend In Crypto Trading on: February 17, 2022, 04:08:38 PM
Yes I saw a quick documentary about him.  I think it was posted on Twitter it was like 3-4 minutes long. However it describes how he wanted to get rich to give his money away to charity.

He started with arbitrage and then later on was a market maker. And then he opened his exchange. He made most of his wealth by reinvesting his profits into BTC ETH and SOL was very profitable.

He bought SOL at $3 at the bottom pretty much. And made very well if he sold some back in November or so. He is a pretty cool guy in my opinion.
Can you share the link here if ever you have it on your twitter profile? Just want to watch how this guy speaks because I am now inspired by him. Nice to know that there are people left on this earth that are not selfish but want to get rich because they want to help people that are in need. Why cannot some people be like him? He is 29 year old. Not too young and not too old to become a billionaire but before there was also a young guy that become a billionaire thru crypto investing.

It is amazing how cryptos can changed lives. Crypto is really a blessing for the people like them. We can follow the tips that they share in hopes that we can be successful too in the future.
1924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Ministry wants to legalize Bitcoin mining in specific areas on: February 17, 2022, 10:26:10 AM
Another useless piece of news. We in Russia have already heard dozens of such proposals. For example, make the Irkutsk region a region for mining, where the price of electricity is less than 2 cents. If mining is legalized in Russia, then the same situation may happen as in Kazakhstan.
And I remember this country is also the country that said to legalize bitcoin as a currency but I wonder if that was true or just a rumor to spread hype in btc and to make it more hype, they followed it up with this news after the so called legalization of btc so that it would look perfect.

Well, they cant legalize mining first if they do not legalize the btc first because that looks wrong but I wonder why they restrict some places because the title said allowed only is specific areas? Are btc mining really that dangerous to the environment? hmm... or maybe they do not want other countries to engage with it due to how hard mining was.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New best altcoin on: February 17, 2022, 06:45:11 AM
It's just a sweetener to lure novice traders to make a purchase, permanently burning 450 million coins can't say the coins you mean can earn 1000x, the burning policy does not guarantee an increase in the price of the remaining tokens in a circulation, because the supply is quite large. The story will be very different from the burning done by BNB, BNB fundamentals are very strong and to be able to survive at the top of the CMC rankings.
I do not think so that someone will buy in an instant after reading that description because most novice traders now are wise when it comes to investing and they wont just buy a coin that is randomly shill by someone. It is going to be hard to convince someone if they just say that this coin will jump 1xxxxx times without backing it with a reasonable proof on why it will happen.

Bnb is an attractive coin not only because of its burning process but most of all it has other interesting use case. they shouldn't compare their coin to bnb just because their coin also has a burning mechanics because that wont surely be enough to attract even the newbies.
1926  Economy / Economics / Re: One nation one currency... on: February 16, 2022, 06:11:14 PM
One nation is literally not possible, if some country is proposing this idea then it will end in a war and probably it may end the human civilization as well because many governments have nuclear weapons so of they don't have any other choice then they will go for the extreme and the consequences will be there forever.

And also it is not going to benefit anyone unless we give every people the equal amount of stash and make them financially equal.
War immediately? How about they relax and talk calmly. It is just a proposal anyway and they are not forcing the other country to agree with this idea. To me, this can bring great benefits because people can focus their energy on improving their lives and not on how to become stronger than the other where there is no real benefits with that but it can only risk their lives and the people living on their country. If that happens now one will be poor or richer but all are equal.

Being equal is a long time wish of most people because they are already sick being poor. When there's one nation, there's also no need for other currency but bitcoin is already enough for all
1927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are spectacular returns over for bitcoin? on: February 16, 2022, 05:12:24 PM
Below 20K? It will need a major FUD for that to happened since the only for the price to go that low is when institutional investors already sell all there holdings. There is no way that retail investors will dump hard the price in the face the institutional investors. Below 20K price is a good price to enter but the main question is when will it happened.
Waiting for the price of bitcoin to drop to $20k is very unlikely to happen, look at the decline last month bitcoin only fell to $30k especially now bitcoin has started pumping itself again to the price of $42k and $43k.
Maybe if he had bought at $30k yesterday he would have made a slight profit of around 13% now.
I am sure that investors are still holding on to bitcoin until now, so the price of bitcoin can still survive.
We cant just based on the events that happened last year 2021 but we can also based on events earlier than that year. Same when we expect higher pumps, we aren't only basing on the year 2021 or 2020 but we use the year 2017 as reference.

Everything is possible especially in cryptocurrency (like what they always say) so as 20k dip for btc although I think it will be harder now for it to happen because many people have learned their lessons from the past, add in the new people that constantly enter this market. Anyway we can still buy at 30k or 40k levels since it's expected that btc are mostly going upwards than downwards.
1928  Economy / Economics / Re: Gambling with China and US on: February 15, 2022, 03:41:25 PM
I am sure China is spending a lot of money in different parts of the world and there was a documentary earlier about their strategic investment globally as they are planning to become the next super power and i bet China will out bid the US when it comes to investment and strategic partnership and they need to be smart enough to understand the terms and conditions before jumping into a conclusion about these deals.
China wants to take over many countries in the world by having the strongest economy, many small countries are now making deals with China, the deals that will not help the countries. China is giving the small countries a kind of way it can be dominant in the world. We can see many countries that will regret Chinese offer in the future in a way China would have borrowed them loans that can buy the whole country.
China always has this kind of mentality where they wanted to be strong although being strong is a nice trait to adopt but I think it is not right anymore if they want to be strong because they want to take over every countries.

Small and weaker countries are in danger because they cant protect themselves and I heard some of these countries seeks for help in other stronger countries except from china because they know that they will be in big trouble. Didn't know that the first deal of china and USA happened 37 years ago wow that was a long time.

Thanks a lot OP for opening a topic like this, it was like a subject in history but never taught on schools.
1929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man who lost 7500 bitcoin in a landfill asks gov't he wants to dig it up on: February 15, 2022, 02:39:47 PM
Am hoping that after all this effort that the man is putting in trying to retrieve the lost coins, i hope he has his private keys to these coins because chances are keys might not be on this hard drive after putting all these resources in trying to get his lost treasure.

Hope this ends with a happy ending because scavengers might have also got to this which might be a loss on his side.
For sure, he has his private key secure. With a huge amount of bitcoins like that, who would careless store his private key anywhere? It is also dangerous to store private key on the same device or drive he is using because a malware can scan it and steal it.

If a normal scavengers found his drive, they cant still open it up because they are just a normal scavengers anyway and they do not have a good knowledge on how btc technology works but worst thing can happen is they can sold it for someone that has a knowledge on this. Recovering them on their own without a private key can still be hard or nearly impossible. The happy ending is if they can negotiate with the real owner.
1930  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hire Crypto Trader on: February 15, 2022, 08:22:34 AM
are you looking for a signal group or a person that very professional in trading that can run your signal group? Because you know it's hard find a legitimate traders nowadays because most of them has their own groups when it comes trading signal and it's only for their subscribers.. And i don't know if there will be a professional trader that will become interested on your offer, well maybe there are some traders since what you've mentioned is you will base on the performance. so perhaps you can find some traders but for sure they don't have a good win rate which not good for your members that will rely in your group..
This could be done with a bot software and nothing else. That should tell you how ridiculously bad this idea is but it has been done for over 6 years now and I have seen them.

The reality is that there are tons of people who have done something like a bot, that they enter some indicators and whenever that indicator gets a hit, it signals the group and that way they end up with a lot of people who follow them because there is something official about it.

There are people who shill their bags as well but these indicator botters end up looking professional because of it. What people do not realize is that these are indicators and they are not results, all those "experts" use the same as well just not automatically, they manually check them.
Good information there and I think I can agree to that, that even pro traders do also rely sometimes on software because it is impossible to predict all the outcomes by themselves. Using a bot can save him some money for hiring a person because a bot can run 24/7 and the bot can be configured in a way that it will provide different results from different trading platforms or traders. No need to hire different traders this way. This is a nice recommendation for the OP. let us hope he will consider this.

@Ararbermas if they a trader owns another group he can still offer his knowledge to other people to earn extra income. I think there is no disadvantage with it.
1931  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip! Told yah. on: February 15, 2022, 04:29:01 AM
Investment shouldn’t be a one time thing or something that you invest too much. First reason is that you’re not sure about it, the market can go down and you can lose money, there’s risk in involved. Secondly, if you invest one time you might have funds to buy again when the market is low. So it’s very important to be really calculative when investing.
Repeated a lot of times, so I believe that anyone who wants to know that would know it by now.
A lot of people stay out from the market when it is low in price, just don’t know why they keep doing that?

I have friends that does the same and it can be really annoying, whenever the market is bearish and low in price, they think it is the wrong time to invest and stay completely out from the market, instead of buying the dip and waiting for the price to pump. They will just choose to wait till the market is bullish again and starts to approach a new all time high and they will end up getting in at the peak of the price, which puts them at the risk of losing the money.
1932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: February 14, 2022, 04:34:35 PM
If your friend wants to trade in the short term, I think now is not the right time to buy bitcoin because bitcoin has the potential to continue its decline. Better to wait for the price to hit the $40k area to enter the market. All crypto markets at the beginning of this year experienced a correction which was quite boring for traders. Therefore, the best option at this time is to wait better, do not rush to buy.
It looks like his friend was going for short term because he do not mind buying it despite of the recent increase that happen because he is going to resell it anyway after another short increase but that was before but now the price movements are quite different and its kinda confusing now if the price would continue to increase or it will go back down for a while.

Waiting can be the ideal thing to do. It can be boring if your a trader but long time investors would not mind waiting. On the other hand, if we have a friend that wants to enter we shouldn't restrict them but only give them advices if what to do because in the end, it still their money.
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins will Rock in 2022. on: February 14, 2022, 12:58:46 PM
If the market can continue to grow positively or at least there will be 2x new ATH from bitcoin and ETH I'm sure many coins will skyrocket up to 100x, and some of the coins I've bought and kept because I'm optimistic that they will skyrocket are 1Inch, GALA, XDC and AMP.
You choose best coin and Gala showed already good rally in previous week but market sentiment not looking good. Whale are trying to stress people sell their token.
I am hoping 2x from Slp as their News of Burning token is very big its looking veey bullish despite market bear position.
Continuous growth is something that is hard for the volatile cryptos and much more for your wish of 2x ATH for bitcoin and eth. They have not recovered yet and after they recover they need to grind more to reach their first ATH.

2x ATH for them can take a long time to happen but gala is indeed performing very well during the dump on bitcoin and maybe up until now however I have doubts that SLP can go 2x its value because the game is going down and almost half of the players are already abandoning this game. They did a wrong move there for not including the burning mechanism right at the start of creating their project when burning is important and demanded by many investors.
1934  Economy / Economics / Re: Taiwan invasion - how would it affect bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 07:18:27 PM
And that is why people in Taiwan are in constant fear and have no choice but to rely on other powers just to be able to stand their ground regardless of knowing that they are being taken advantage of. Although this may be a big threat, I really don't think it'll end up in an actual war. The worse would only be a high tension that ALMOST ends up in a war. With how advanced weaponry are today, there is just too much to lose. That is, if the US really sticks into their promises. The preparation of China is just to stike fear hoping that Taiwan would submit.

Although unlikely, I do not disregard the small chance though and if it does happen, I hope it doesn't escalate too much that it ends up in a wide scale world war. Man, that's scary. -buying the dips for prewar though.
Indeed wars are scary but I am surprise that buying at the dip are still on your mind. The only question is how can you do that when you cant connect to the web because towers are destroyed by the wars? I bet you must be panicking that time the moment a real war begins but let us hope that it wont happen. Lots of crisis already hit us from the past and many lives are already lost.

Taiwan might be too weak as a country so they are relying on a much stronger country for help. I do not see that as a big problem and if your on that situation I think you will also think of that. Taiwan invasion will have an effect in bitcoin but the effect can be mild only.
1935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League Thread 2021/2022 on: February 12, 2022, 09:04:52 PM
I think after 9 games without a win i think its time for Reading to finally win a match in front of their fans in this round. If they dont win it will get pretty intense for them to not get relegated. Also Fulham has another easy match against Hull and probobly an easy away win for them.
Looks like Fulham and Bournemouth both are set for return into Premier League as both teams having very good form in last few matches with most other teams at top are struggling Fulham is surely doing best job from start and Mitrovic is top scorer in this league with 31 goals terrific job from this guy.

At bottom, we have very interesting position as Reading fail again and lost match against Coventry with score of 2 - 3 and with this defeat now they have some big trouble for dropping into relegation zone because 6 points already deducted and now with this worst form they are going down and out with other teams are doing their best for having some better spot most chances Derby will have some better chance instead of Reading for survival in this season.
1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your take on whatsapp token? on: February 12, 2022, 09:32:56 AM
It's owned by Meta(Facebook).
Honestly, I thought that by now the name change would've been properly effected. Anyway, whatever that's delaying it, only Zuckerberg with his team knows. On the WhatsApp token, I think it's still a far dream. Until those proposing it wake up to pursue it, I'm classing it as the elusive Libra projected muted by Zuckerberg himself. Besides all that, I don't even think WhatsApp is exceptional to draw more attention. If it were to be Telegram, I would've been anxious for it to come to the market. I rate Telegram well above WhatsApp.
This is the second time in this forum that I’m seeing someone creates a thread and talking about WhatsApp coin. I don’t even know how they are getting such information, because there is nothing like that. The only coin that Facebook has ever tried to release, which we all know wasn’t a success, was Libra, which they later named Diem.

But, the project wasn’t a success due to the government never permitted it to happen. Now, Facebook has transitioned to Meta, which we all know today and it has been a trend. So there is nothing about WhatsApp token that is going to take place, because facebook is focused now on their new project which is  the Metaverse.
1937  Economy / Economics / Re: US inflation reached 7% in December as prices rise at rates unseen in decades on: February 11, 2022, 09:20:43 PM
I think they are still waiting for the fuel prices to stabilize before making any serious changes.
The only countries I've read to date about a hike in interest rate are Romania but they are not in the eurozone and they had a higher rate even before the pandemic, and the Czech Republic which is almost in the same scenario, with even higher interest rates but with a lower inflation rate on the horizon.

Right now the biggest influence in inflation is caused here not but money printing but by record oil and gas prices, with higher than usual temperatures, I'm reading 6C on my app while last year it was between -5°/-12° so gas will go down, the oil will surely also go down in spring once the US and Canada completely restart mining activities so part of the problem will be solved.
I doubt both the ECB and national central banks will act prior to Q2/3.
Energy and fuel prices have gone insanely high this year, which is a big problem considering how we are already lacking a lot of proper clean energy so people are getting even dirtier and dirtier energy just to it would go down.

I am afraid that it was already too late for renewable energy, if we had a lot more nuclear, hydro, wind and solar energy all built up, then we wouldn't need any of this, prices of starting one and even storing is insanely high COMPARED to what we used to pay, now looking at the situation, if we spent that money like 10-15 years ago and lost a huge chunk of money and then had a big problem, I could totally see it paying itself already by this time and it would be basically like free right now, not free of course to customer but the initial cost would have been gone.
1938  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2022, 08:50:51 PM
we are consolidating in the $43000 zone and if we manage to consolidate in the $43000 zone for a long time then we will be fine, the price will be strong enough to continue its rise towards $47000 and if we break the $47000 then we will be able to reach $50,000. but we also need to be very careful with the question that if the price drops it could go back to $37000 which would definitely not be good because they could push to $34000
That 43k price really changed so much for all of us, I mean it is a proof that we did alright and went up and now we are not going down that easily. Doesn't mean that we couldn't go under that price ever again but it just means that we are doing fine as it is right now and it would require an extra leg work to make it happen.

This is why I believe that as long as we are doing fine, we should not be really focusing on anything else, a good strong support allows you to put your back against it and go up a lot better, it is a strong going up and not a fake hyped going up so it does really mean a lot more to me than anything else. That is why I am quite happy about it.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: February 11, 2022, 08:02:19 PM
Sometimes one of the basis of a gambler (this is based on my own experience and perception) is the number of years that the certain gambling sites existed. I mean, this adds up the credibility of a certain gambling sites but however, I still not set aside to keep on reading reviews of the other gamblers to the site because for that one matters too. We have our own experiences in a certain gambling sites and it's such a good perks to read a honest review that would heads us up to whatever the possible customer complaints issues.
The number of years it existed usually goes hand in hand with a few things and that is why we care about it. If you have been around for lets say 10 years, then it means that we are talking about a place that is fair, no place that is unfair would go that long while being liked, and we are talking about a place with good marketing, no place would be able to go for 10 years and liked without marketing and we are talking about good rewards, good support, good security, good withdrawals and all of that because that is how you survive for 10 years or people would be basically calling you out as a scam way before that if it was a legit place.

So, basically being around for many years includes all of the listed stuff, you do not stay around for that many years without having all of them.
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia and central Bank agreed to legalize cryptocurrency as a form of currency on: February 11, 2022, 07:14:40 PM
Another great new in 2022 for the crypto users. I am telling it good because it is good than a full ban about which central bank was thinking.
How can a full ban be good? But, ban is the worst thing that can happen in crypto. This news was good because it talks about the legalization on crypto in Russia. The start of 2022 is gloomy but finally we are now seeing some light as good news starting to appear slowly.

This might be the reason why we are seeing an improvement in the market? People gets motivated again to go back or to continue buying more because they know that more and more countries are soon to support cryptos. Normally a country can legalize crypto in the form of asset but this one in Russia is different as they legalize crypto in the form of currency. Is this the next El Salvador? hmm...
