1821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An advice for newbies and plebs on: March 22, 2022, 12:54:51 PM
The best entry point is right now. It's too risky to wait for a possible dip in 2023 to start investing. Many people are always looking for the perfect bottom to finally purchase their first amount of bitcoin, but they are never able to do this, because bitcoin is never cheap enough for them and when they least expect, bitcoin enters a bull market again, so it's too late to invest.

Anyway, every investors should be prepared to start seeing profit in few years in worse case.
Unfortunately people think that patience in the market is only for selling and not for buying. If you do not wait, there is a good chance you could miss an opportunity that could be better.

I disagree that you should go all-in right now or later, but you should never invest just one moment. If you think right now is good and future may not be great, invest with some portion of your money and not all of it. Then whatever you have left, and whatever you can save later on, you could just keep on saving that and invest it at a later date, and a later date. That way you keep investing at each price and you would be able to get a profit easier.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 21, 2022, 09:08:03 PM
Actually, the Pakistan cricket board got scared because they had some injuries in their lineup. And I think they did not want to risk it.

So, they did not do anything stupid and bladed safe but that's the mistake they did in my opinion. I think at least they should have tried to look up and fight against Australia and give their bowlers a chance of showing what they are capable of. I think we are going to see something like that in the third test though.
Surely this is main reason and already described by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja after having some good criticism from around the cricket world about their these tactics against Australia which came after 24 years and secondly this was done for marketing purpose because we already watch some quick ends in India which give big loses to television channels and also BCCI even they can afford these all but PCB is having completely different situation, and they don't want to give any weak point but surely now they will prepare very good at coming series against England and New Zealand which are also coming in next few months for their respective tours for playing Test Matches, ODI and T20 after T20 World Cup in Australia in October.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2021/2022 on: March 21, 2022, 08:12:59 PM
I think it's going to be a great match and both teams playing twice in a couple of days, I believe that Man City have the better edge. I'd say either team wouldn't win both fixtures, and maybe a draw in the league and Man City advancing to the FA Cup finals.

Chelsea against all adversity they're getting because of their Russian owner are still getting by really well, and they should almost effortlessly get to the finals too.
I am also watching these two teams for last few weeks and having feeling that I agreed with your statement partially because match Premier League match can end in draw but in The FA Cup we will have some hard fight and Liverpool can win this match even this can go into penalties because in current season they have very good target of four cups and most chances they will grab these may be three are sure, so I am not expecting Manchester City is capable to stop them for having another final against Chelsea and cup because Chelsea is also good team, but currently they are playing like a tired team with some doubts around them for Russian connection even right now we have no bad impact but still nothing is clear what's going to happen with this club. Liverpool is going to be killed all opponents in this last period of season with their performance.
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Wont Sell his Bitcoin on: March 21, 2022, 12:48:33 PM

I think for regular retail investors we have a completely different view point because of most people have very different financial circumstances and therefore make very different decisions what to do with their capital.
And we can't compare our life to HIM. He deserves his action and keeping his Bitcoin is what he wants. And besides, he doesn't need to spend it by now and there is no sense in selling his Bitcoin. He has the purpose why he bought Bitcoin in the first (which we don't know yet) and not selling them has of reason as well.

Anyways, we are not sure if he is telling the truth or just for another entertainment. People know that he already lie to us in the past few days and I don't think we have to put concern into what he says on twitter.
Yeah he was a big liar if he will claims that he have a bitcoin and he still holds it. The world will never forget when he say that bitcoin is not environment friendly, this is also the reason why he discontinued its use before and he switch to doge coin instead. Although he is lying there on his tweet but others that are recently involved on bitcoin and cryptos won't know it and this makes them motivated to hold and buy more btc because they think that a famous personality like Elon musk are also a solid fan of bitcoin.

It's hard to say this but we should still thank Elon right there for his effort of hyping the bitcoin. Elon's point is investments can save us from inflations but he didn't say that selling is a bad idea. We can sell if badly needed.
1825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: March 20, 2022, 09:35:00 PM
Have not traded much in these times due to some other reasons but have invested some amounts which i cash out with this little bull run.Although the profits were minimal but i was satisfied as altcoins are risky to trade in.Rest still holding my btc investment for long and gain profits on them.

The war have not seen much plunge in the prices as we had expected and the prices of other commodities like oil have grown to ATH but will observe for some more days to have better idea about the market.
To invest and then sell them for not so long time can still be considered to as trading. It only means that you are not affected with this war because you still did it, that's nice as your showing that you are brave not unlike to others that are doubting now if they will buy and sell because they think the price can change quickly so they are waiting for a better moment to initiate a trade.

The profits you get might be small to you but if you will only realize that getting that small profit was not easy, you will still feel very proud of yourself, it is a priceless move. Depends on what altcoins you trade as some altcoins are like btc too that aren't risky at all.
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: REASON WHY ALTCOIN MARKET HARD TO SPECULATE on: March 20, 2022, 01:21:32 PM
Now things have almost changed with the many new concepts that have been introduced into the crypto space. So that concepts like ICO no longer exist in the new campaign and the team has changed and replaced it for a better one like the current IDO.
In 2017 there were indeed many unique events that could serve as the experience of everyone who had been in crypto at that time.
It is not really that much "changed", the idea is the same, you pay some people to buy their project from them and they make money and you hope that you will get some profit out of that while they are guaranteed to make money, and you hope that they will use that money to make the project better.

There is zero decentralization, they just give you something and you look up to them to make something with that money. Did we pay satoshi to do bitcoin? Did we pay eth? We just let them happen and they grew organically, same with ltc, or monero or any of the old ones. To this day all the new projects asks you to give them money and that is the biggest problem.
1827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia cut off from Swift is fantastic opportunity for bitcoin on: March 19, 2022, 09:52:59 PM
I'm reading many articles explaining that Russia shall be cut off from the SWIFT global interbank payments system, as a sanction in response to its invasion of Ukraine. That means it would be impossible to make bank transfers between Russia and most other countries.

I see this as an absolutely fantastic opportunity for BTC.
If you can"t use banks, just use BTC and be happy.
bitcoin is a currency there is no manipulation, and also very decentralized...

without SWIFT then all Russian citizens who are accustomed to using banks for transfers or other activities internationally will be cut off, and with bitcoin, it is a way out to transfer internationally freely and safely. bitcoin only -> Russia's way out to stay in touch with the outside world, especially transactions.
The crypto itself might be decentralized, but the exchanges and the connection between crypto and your bank account is centralized. Which means that if Russians wants to turn billions into crypto, they would have to use banks.

In their own nation, they could make it legal and supported, but then they would only have crypto, where could they cash that out to fiat again? Not in another nation, that would be hard because of the sanctions. All in all, it is not impossible to turn ruble into crypto into euro or dollars, there are ways you could do that but between being very expensive and also possibility of your fiat getting frozen, it is very risky.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 19, 2022, 06:08:21 PM
Mining is also an idea but it requires more work than buying and holding them. In addition to energy costs, wear and tear of components, space, you need a lot of time to take care of them and technical knowledge for miners. Not to mention the mining will be interrupted at any time if you are living in a country where bitcoin is not yet legalized you will have trouble with your machines.
With $40k, I think You can buy bitcoin and wait for the price to rise. Bitcoin price is low relative to old ATH so buying now at low price is an opportunity to grow the asset quickly.
The idea of mining is to generate bitcoins continuously without needing to buy them anymore but like you said the only problem is the cost of miners and the cost of mining itself. We need to determine these factors first if mining is suitable for our needs or not but if not we can always buy a bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining can be interrupted in case a problem of electricity occurs or in case the weather is not fine, if your source of electricity is natural or renewable. There are countries where mining is banned but there's also countries that banned both mining and the use of bitcoin. There's no escape for you even if you say your only buying btc and not mining it.
1829  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: March 19, 2022, 04:36:32 PM
The most lucrative skills are the hardest to learn.
Programming and webdesign are way harder than article writing, but they are more lucrative.
You don't just have to learn a skill. You have to become really good at that skill, because the competition is furious and no buyer would want to hire a rookie programmer, instead of an experienced programmer.
If you ask me,freelance is a rat race and only the best and hardest working will survive the competition.
Another problem with freelance is having to find good customers. Most customers would want you to do more work for less money, which is unacceptable for me.You have to know your worth and you have to know how to "sell" your skills at the highest price possible.
Developer and similar are indeed considered to be the highest paid jobs right now but I think it will also depend on the employer (you also said this) last time I saw someone looking for a developer but he is offering a very cheap fee, I think that was only 50 usd in btc. Maybe he thinks the task is too simple but becoming a developer is not an easy thing.

Article writing on the other hand and as well as marketing (skills that the op have right now) is actually in demand too because of the emergence of cryptos and I don't think the pay is that small but like I said earlier it can also depend on the employer. If he can be able to do multiple works, that is also helpful to increase his income.
1830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: March 18, 2022, 08:10:22 PM
We likewise gain different tokens. Then again, not every person likes Bitcoin. There are crypto financial backers who would even prefer not to have a say in Bitcoin. However hodling won't make you lose, yet it holds no assurance either that you will continuously create gains assuming you don't do anything on your coins.
But I think majority are into bitcoin? do you agree?

Simply because it is the prime mover and it is the first one to really bring crypto to the limelight and now it's a buzz word that everyone around the world is very interested. Even in war torn countries like Ukraine and Russia, they are making bitcoin and crypto like a safe haven regardless if we are in a bear or bull market. Because the war will make their money worthless, so it's better to hedge it to crypto right now.
The majority of the people who are interested in bitcoin are into bitcoin of course, but there are so many people out there who ignore it completely. Those are the people we need to attract somehow if we want to have a good and long-term project with crypto. If not, then there are of course some people who know about bitcoin and the majority who know about it like it and use it and that’s good sign.

So, if 10% of the world knows and uses it, and 80% of them likes it, then it is a good thing, but if we could get '20+ people suddenly that would change so much and it would mean a lot of profit for the ones who are here already as well and provide a good future.
1831  Economy / Speculation / Re: How these events will affect crypto market? on: March 18, 2022, 10:48:26 AM
There's a big expectation on the Biden's executive order to make immediate impact on the market. To the expectation there is no big change in the market. The market continues to be bearish, and this executive order will surely have some positive movement on the market long term. The order has got seven key points among which two are for the consumer protection. He has also requested the digital assets platforms to function along with the government to rule out the usage of cryptocurrencies on illegal activities. These are to make long term benefits which will make slow and stabilized progress in the market.
Well the effect seems stays shortly ? because now Bitcoin recovers back to 41k and i think have a chance to increase more?
though Biden's executive order shaken the market recently but yet the effect seems weak ?
or we are waiting for more feedbacks specially in crypto market and whales?

Anyway many events had been in the air for some time now and the effect really shows the volatility of the market.
Just like we shouldn't react too quickly whenever price goes down, we should also not react too harshly as soon as it goes up neither. We are talking about a situation where it is quite difficult for all of us to decide what will happen with crypto. I mean it doesn't mean that we should not be doing anything, of course react it in a way that you would be able to profit from it, but doesn't mean that we should be making a big deal out of it neither.

We need to learn how to make a good income from these type of moves, but if reacting to it right away as soon as it happens could lose you money, then maybe we should wait and see what happens first.
1832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: March 18, 2022, 07:45:59 AM
I'm wondering if there is any forum, website, subreddit or a threading discussion in this forum about what the whales are going to do or if there is a channel where they talk/share their next moves.

I've read that some users here read about this kind of topic but they didn't share any post or link to the source.
And why will the whale inform you about their next moves when whales are known to be the bad guys in this market. They work unpredictably because this is the only way to shake the market and for others to start panicking. This is where the whales earn the benefits of buying at lows so that they can sell it for profits when the market returns to normal.

If you have saw a discussion about whales, I think that was outdated already but I don't know maybe there are paid groups too on telegram where there can be a whale that leaked what other whales are planning for him to make a solo profit apart from the profit that he is going to get during their teams' operations.
1833  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Prediction for March!! on: March 18, 2022, 06:20:08 AM
I think technical charts and Technical indicators don't help much in decision making when Financial markets are in panic due to war in Ukraine and expected increase in Interest rates are the major cause of selling in crypto and stock market. The next move of Bitcoin will unfolds in Ukraine and what announcement comes from FED about interest rate.
I agree completely. When things are this weird, it is not really that simple to get things going, you have to actually pull something off to make sure that you could make a profit that nobody else can think of. If you just check the current markets and think that charts could give you an idea of what will happen, or think that indicators will help you then you have to realize that everyone else can do that.

If it was as simple as reading charts, even if people can't read it, there will be ones who can and tell others and we all would know what bitcoin will do. This proves that we are in a situation where crypto can't be known by looking at some charts at all times.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 17, 2022, 08:50:22 PM
All is well that ends well. Everyone was in good mood. Especially Waqar Younus, after the match review, he looked so happy and said in last 10 over my heart was pumping on every ball. Draw also means a win for Pakistan. To be honest, Pakistani needs to work more honestly in their respective departments. They are certainly lacking professionalism.
After very long disconnection Pakistan is having good team at home, so obviously they deserve some advantage and favour for these things but now as we are going into third test in Lahore reports are coming curator is already in Lahore from Australia for final preparation, and they already announce they will work in this way as well because now things are normal, and they have few big teams coming in Pakistan for more cricket which mean more revenue and more fans and entertaining cricket which is possible only with supportive conditions and pitches.

With this all still this second test have very good and interesting end as Australia having 170 overs but still not able to win this match which is also having many questions about their ability from few legendary Australian cricketers, hopefully next match will give some good cricket.
1835  Economy / Economics / Re: The economy is important for a family! on: March 17, 2022, 08:29:11 PM
Of course, the economy is very important for families, without economic knowledge, we cannot manage money well, and the most important thing in the economy is to always think how we can earn big and reduce expenses, especially during a pandemic like now which makes many businesses die so that we have to be more creative.
Having a sound economic knowledge can really be helpful to families. And one of the ways we can be creative is by having several sources of income and not just relying on one. We need to teach children that they shouldn’t only rely on one thing, it is good to try out other things as well and make sure that they keep growing.

For someone who keeps relying on one source, one thing for sure is that they might end up in a situation whereby they lose whatever source of income that they have and that would lead to them not having anything and eventually going broke. So it is good to build several sources of income and even if anything should happen, you would still have something to rely on and keep on moving and growing.
1836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss City of Lugano to Make Bitcoin Legal Tender on: March 17, 2022, 07:44:40 PM
So it will soon be possible to pay for purchases in shops in this city with bitcoin? That's certainly good news, especially from a developed country like Switzerland. The only thing I don't understand is whether it has anything to do with the Tether partnership. If I understand correctly, bitcoin will be converted into USDT which equals 1:1 to the dollar. Or does the bitcoin remain bitcoin and goes to the BTC address? If not, it's a tricky business for Tether.

Yeah that is right. That is what legal tender do, to make use of bitcoin directly to buy goods without needing to convert to fiat or any other cryptocurrencies. It's a good news but the op is not convinced somehow for some reasons maybe because the statement is not only about using btc as a legal tender but there is some extra rule about it but they didn't say something about btc being converted to usdt by the time you made a payment.

Maybe they too make tether as a legal tender along with btc but if ever what you said is going to happen, it's not going to be a difficult thing since there are now lots of services that do the conversion job.
1837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: March 17, 2022, 05:06:42 PM
To be successful in trading, of course, it takes time and a definite process.
so the more we try and experience failure it will be good for us to find out where the error is and evaluate it,
Trading is full of challenges so mentally preparing is also important
One other thing that people really have to know is that capital is required. If you don’t have enough capital then it is not advisable for you to do trading. It is best that you look for something else and not to be a day trader, because you are going to require capital.

Trading is something that is capital intensive and most people do not know this because they feel that it is easy and doesn’t require much, and with just any amount of money they will be able to get in and become rich at any time. But, it doesn't work like that, you need enough capital and you also need sound knowledge about trading for you to be successful.
1838  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin VS Oil VS Russia VS Ukraine on: March 17, 2022, 05:33:49 AM
To me, the war and the use of BTC in the region opens the perspective of having a multi-currency in the real world. Ukraine donations accept DOT and ETH too. People will start using any cryptocurrency if they are going to be accepted by businesses and we already witness countries starting from El Salvador.

The war in Ukraine just shows how much oil can be used to see who controls the world and we could see how the US did in the previous decades and how Russia is about to do it and how China is also about to dig oil under the South China Sea.
Even before the wars happen, people already know how to use a BTC but the wars can lead for more people to use BTC. It is nice if we have a multi currency not just the only one that we use right now because it can be use on different situations.

The wars again have prove it. Fiat currency are nearly useless but thankfully we have BTC and that continue the operation. Ukraine donations also accept dot and ETH, I have no problems with dot but I am more concerned with ETH. What if there are new people that use this coin and we all know that the fees in ETH is still high, will this disappoint them and they will think that cryptos are only for the rich? hmm... Roll Eyes
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 16, 2022, 08:56:50 PM
It will be an interesting game as both are in good form and will definitely be fighting for the 3 points but I feel confident Liverpool will play Arsenal even without Mohamed Salah as it is rumored that he will not play.
and if you look at the second meeting Liverpool always win other than draws and Arsenal have never won, even though Mikel Arteta managed to revive Arsenal, but now he is facing Liverpool which in my opinion is not an easy opponent, and winning is mandatory for Liverpool because if you win against Arsenal Liverpool will easily toppled Manchester City.
They will still be very difficult in this game But that does not mean it will also win Liverpool easily.
The news about the error is still confusing until now because it is true that although Klopp did not say it clearly, the chance to play is still there.
Although indeed I was not too affected by it because I felt good enough for him to be able to rest for a while to completely heal his leg.
there are still some good players out there like Jota and Diaz who could be options.
We are talking about just 3 days before the last day, and 4 days for Liverpool. That is really not a big deal and I believe that we should not really be shocked if both teams would be tired. LFC also had champions league game against Inter not too long ago.

So, it has been very crowded schedule for them and that is why I believe that there is a chance for them to actually end up getting a boring 0-0 tie from this game as well. When players are tired, it is hard to attack but these are players who are playing in one of the best league in the world so maybe fatigue would not be a problem as much as I think it would be, in that case we could see attackers still being good.
1840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 16, 2022, 08:26:41 PM
If having no journal keeps you failing then try to have a trading journal to see and track what you've been doing with your trading career. And if you find it effective then there's no reason to ignore it and just continue what you've started for having a journal.
There are records that help us do better because we can see where our money is going on and with trading journal, you'll have the idea on how you've been performing all along as you trade and if that's not enough for you as a record then you might have to use it as a motivation because you've been exerting effort to become better.
There will be no changes at all if what he already been getting before is just pure losses and it can only make him feel bad because he can now see his losses on the paper or something, this will remind him that he is a failure.

A journal is not a solution but changing his strategy could be but he also need to study better on how to improve his trade, not just by frequently changing a strategy because he might be missing some key components on why he can't win any of his trades. When I see this thread I remember that its been also discussed in gambling if it's better to list what you have spend. Some don't want to because this will only make them chase their losses.
