1841  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin VS Oil VS Russia VS Ukraine on: March 17, 2022, 05:33:49 AM
To me, the war and the use of BTC in the region opens the perspective of having a multi-currency in the real world. Ukraine donations accept DOT and ETH too. People will start using any cryptocurrency if they are going to be accepted by businesses and we already witness countries starting from El Salvador.

The war in Ukraine just shows how much oil can be used to see who controls the world and we could see how the US did in the previous decades and how Russia is about to do it and how China is also about to dig oil under the South China Sea.
Even before the wars happen, people already know how to use a BTC but the wars can lead for more people to use BTC. It is nice if we have a multi currency not just the only one that we use right now because it can be use on different situations.

The wars again have prove it. Fiat currency are nearly useless but thankfully we have BTC and that continue the operation. Ukraine donations also accept dot and ETH, I have no problems with dot but I am more concerned with ETH. What if there are new people that use this coin and we all know that the fees in ETH is still high, will this disappoint them and they will think that cryptos are only for the rich? hmm... Roll Eyes
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 16, 2022, 08:56:50 PM
It will be an interesting game as both are in good form and will definitely be fighting for the 3 points but I feel confident Liverpool will play Arsenal even without Mohamed Salah as it is rumored that he will not play.
and if you look at the second meeting Liverpool always win other than draws and Arsenal have never won, even though Mikel Arteta managed to revive Arsenal, but now he is facing Liverpool which in my opinion is not an easy opponent, and winning is mandatory for Liverpool because if you win against Arsenal Liverpool will easily toppled Manchester City.
They will still be very difficult in this game But that does not mean it will also win Liverpool easily.
The news about the error is still confusing until now because it is true that although Klopp did not say it clearly, the chance to play is still there.
Although indeed I was not too affected by it because I felt good enough for him to be able to rest for a while to completely heal his leg.
there are still some good players out there like Jota and Diaz who could be options.
We are talking about just 3 days before the last day, and 4 days for Liverpool. That is really not a big deal and I believe that we should not really be shocked if both teams would be tired. LFC also had champions league game against Inter not too long ago.

So, it has been very crowded schedule for them and that is why I believe that there is a chance for them to actually end up getting a boring 0-0 tie from this game as well. When players are tired, it is hard to attack but these are players who are playing in one of the best league in the world so maybe fatigue would not be a problem as much as I think it would be, in that case we could see attackers still being good.
1843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 16, 2022, 08:26:41 PM
If having no journal keeps you failing then try to have a trading journal to see and track what you've been doing with your trading career. And if you find it effective then there's no reason to ignore it and just continue what you've started for having a journal.
There are records that help us do better because we can see where our money is going on and with trading journal, you'll have the idea on how you've been performing all along as you trade and if that's not enough for you as a record then you might have to use it as a motivation because you've been exerting effort to become better.
There will be no changes at all if what he already been getting before is just pure losses and it can only make him feel bad because he can now see his losses on the paper or something, this will remind him that he is a failure.

A journal is not a solution but changing his strategy could be but he also need to study better on how to improve his trade, not just by frequently changing a strategy because he might be missing some key components on why he can't win any of his trades. When I see this thread I remember that its been also discussed in gambling if it's better to list what you have spend. Some don't want to because this will only make them chase their losses.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank’s failure on: March 16, 2022, 12:14:05 PM
I don’t think that banks would just freeze anyone’s account for no reason. Before banks can take such an action there must have been something that have led to it happening. I have seen so many occasions where the banks has taken such actions and freeze people’s account and it wasn't just for no reason, a situation must have occurred before it happened.

Until now there are still so many people who are relying on banks and using it as a means for them to make transactions. Not everyone is really into making use of cryptocurrency despite how good cryptocurrency is proven to be. It might be a case of not having pure understanding of how it works.
Like when a bank user is guilty for doing criminal acts or frauds, his bank account will then get frozen. That was acceptable but what about during the war between Ukraine and Russia, I heard that bank accounts of Russians were freeze too? Is that acceptable?

Maybe, if your against the Russia because they started the war but for some I think it isn't because bank users didn't commit anything that is illegal but it was their president (Putin) that started the war without their consent. If they can be able to use banks, I am pretty sure that they can also understand how crypto works. It's only just a matter of learning it. For now, they won't consider this but time will come they will.
1845  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Does This Always happen? on: March 16, 2022, 09:08:25 AM

That's typical of every investors/traders' experience and I believe it happens so because a lot of traders buy almost at the same psychological level. There are levels people believe the market will take a turn, either upward or downward. Most times it doesn't happen that way because the market has a mind of its own. They forget that what the crowd feels is right is in most cases not right. Those who follow crowd mentality in trading often get messed up like that. There's a reason the famed Warren Buffet tells us to buy when others are scared and sell when they're greedy buying more. He's right on that one. It simply means going left when the crowd go right and vice versa.
Buying when the market is at its lowest is the best decision anyone can make. It is good to monitor the market and know when others are fearful, and when they start being fearful that’s when you should start buying and gathering as much as you can.

Because, when the market is at its lowest you don’t really have much to lose, but if you are the type that rushes in when others are also being greedy, and you ended up buying at the peak price, then it is going to be a really huge problem for you if the market should start to plummet. You would lose a lot of money from that kind of investment. but for someone who gets in at the lowest, you can be able to have patience and HODL till the market reaches the top.
1846  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: March 15, 2022, 05:34:15 AM
We are talking about the type of fall that wouldn't be a big problem for bitcoin, and the type of increase that's not even a big news to me anymore. I mean we have seen these type of increases and decreases many times before in the crypto world and we have to realize that we are in a situation where we should not be really that shocked about the volatility anymore.

It is definitely a bad thing when we go from 68k to under 40k, that was a bad one, and I understand why people would be terribly tired of seeing something like that again and again, we saw it literally twice in 2021 and it's bad. However the drop from over 40k to under 40k happened many times and it's alright.
Unfortunately there are too many people who are scared of any fall that is over 10% and that has existed for too long. I have been here long enough to see millions of people get scared of bitcoin falls above 10%, and it always recovered, we have never failed to recover and even break ATH, it always happens but at the end of the day we are talking about something that is dangerously risky for all of us involved as well because them getting scared and selling causes the price to fall and we end up buying at those low prices and wait for it to go up, but it takes longer because of them.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 15, 2022, 04:22:44 AM
England have lost there third consecutive match of the tournament while Pakistan have lost all 4 matches so far. Both Pakistan and England are technically out of this Women WC. So far SA is strong contenders for SA along with Australia. The other two teams who qualify for semis will be from NZ, WI and India.
Pakistan is relatively new team, and now they are at 18 matches losing streak but still done good job for last two matches first against South Africa and now against Bangladesh as in these both matches they were near to win but sadly due to lack of experience and bad technique fail both time hopefully these ladies will have their good lessons from these defeats and now try to change things in future.

But, England is losing third match in a row a big shocking upset for cricket fans in England as they were one of favourite teams but sadly lose all matches against West Indies and now South Africa mean they are at decline and have not enough preparation for this mega event now these ladies have very few chances because these need 4 out of 4 for having any chance and these ladies have chances against Pakistan, Bangladesh but tough games against India and New Zealand.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 14, 2022, 06:32:14 PM
The first leg match Barcelona vs Galatasaray was beyond the expectations of many parties where the match ended in a 0-0 draw where Barcelona was very difficult to score with the tight defense of Galatasaray so that Barca failed to win the first leg match at Camp Nou, where in the match itself Barcelona only scored one shot on target even though they managed to control 63% of ball possession which made Barcelona frustrated with the tight Galatasaray defense, but all parties were optimistic that Barcelona could qualify for the next round in the second leg at the NEFStadyumu
There is nothing beyond the limits because we can expect any result in any soccer game with all teams and players have just one motto win for their team so Barcelona vs Galatasaray match was also usual, and it's not happening first time we have some big shocking results in this season with unknown teams defeating top brands of soccer world and then losing their matches very easily.

Especially after watching match between Real Madrid vs PSG in Madrid we can expect all results so here Barcelona is still having very strong case for qualifying into next round, and even they can reach out into final as well.

Galatasaray is having terrible season in Turkish League, but they are performing extraordinary in Europa Cup with in presence of Lazio and Marseille they qualified for knock out round is amazing from them now first phase draw is also magical, let's watch now how they perform at their own home.
1849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 14, 2022, 02:30:23 PM
I think buying is a safer, simpler and lazier option, which can also bring some long-term profit and easily make $40k into $100k over a couple of years. As for mining, it means not only initial investment which you that need to cover by profits (when you buy Bitcoin, you can always pull your money out, and you'll get more out of it than out of selling mining equipment, probably). You also need to cover the electricity bills, which can be huge. Not to mention maintenance, so that your equipment doesn't break. And, possibly, taxes for doing business, maybe some permits to do that etc. So I'd go with buying Bitcoin.
Lazier is the key word here. I mean don't get me wrong, if you have the money for it, the tech mind to keep it going, and have the mechanic talent to fix anything that may go wrong then go ahead and do that if you want to. But for the life of me, I do not get people who have none of that and still end up buying bitcoin or gpu mining systems.

One wrong move and your investment could be gone, one broken gpu and your money is gone. Just buy it, hold it, and literally do nothing about it and you could make a good return from it for sure. I personally believe that we could make a good return from it without doing any work at all and that is a great deal.
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I invest in? on: March 14, 2022, 08:49:53 AM
Well, it depends on your investment goals. Long term versus short term. Long term you should go for the top 10 coins on coinmarketcap, then short term you can do any legit meme coin that has Play2Earn slapped on it
When it comes to investing, you need to think smart so that you can make the right decision at the right time. It is a good idea to invest in top coins but there is no guarantee that this strategy will always be successful due to market conditions. In addition to the top coins, there are many good projects that will try to compete with those top coins in the near future to go to the top position. So doing research on those projects is also important for making a big successful investment. However, investing in new projects other than top coin is much more risky which can lead to huge losses for an investor.
BNB, SOL, MATIC, and others (that I forgot) were once outside the top 10 ranks but eventually, they are now a part of it and the old top coin that they replace are now in their old position. This is what you're talking about there are always new coins that will try their best to compete with the older coins and if we are lucky to invest in them when they are still in their early phase, we can reap a lot of profits later on.

Investing in the current top coins is also not alone but it should be teamed up by constant monitoring so that we can dispose them early if you think they are going bad or you can buy more of them if you think they are going in the right direction.
1851  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: March 12, 2022, 09:38:21 PM
I see every day the development of Bitcoin lately a little difficult to step up to $ 40k, January to March 2022, still playing in the position of $ 30k and above, I think Bitcoin this year, will experience more changes and fall again, can..so touched under $30k lower.
Usually after a price explosion there will be a decline and this happens every 4 years, namely 2013 and 2017, and when the market can skyrocket in 2021, the beginning of 2022 looks sluggish, I hope 2022 will not repeat 2014 and 2018 which took time to more than 2 years to recover and skyrocket again.
I am not sure if we are going to have that kind of thing anymore. I am not saying that it is over and we won't ever have it, but we are in a situation where we saw 64k as ATH before in 2021, and then it dropped 60%+ or so, and then we reached to 68k again.

It all happened inside a single year, many people think that we had it in that cycle and it will be 4 years later again, but that drop and increase proves to me that we may not be in a cycle anymore. I believe that we could be 70k in a month as well, or maybe we won't but at least the chance of it is there. This is why I am not really waiting on a great return that many years later, it could happen at any given minute.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 12, 2022, 08:28:05 PM
I really don't understand why PCB is trying to make this test series not memorable by just encouraging them to not produce a result. I really expected something different from the first test but I am quite disappointed till now to see what has transpired in the test match. Seems like another draw is on the way. Unless of course, something really unbelievable happens.
Preparation of Pakistan team against this historic series was not good enough so just because of this they have done this all shameful act and now after reading statement from Ramiz Raja feeling they need to be more professional and have to accept few things if they want to be big and have some good value for future games here in Pakistan because first test was really bore and now after watching first day of this second test I have feeling it's also going into this same way because pitch is not supportive for bowlers and batsmen can stay as long as they can Khawaja was really in good touch throughout day, and he plays best of his cricket at his home country for first time.

Right now situation is West Indies is also no good as now this first test match is also heading for draw Bonner and Holder at crease with just 15 to 20 overs remaining in day and target is not achievable for them with England is also not good enough to take all ten wickets.
1853  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of BTC dropping? on: March 12, 2022, 06:39:30 AM
Now with regards to BTC dropping, there is only one answer for that. It isn't the events that is happening right now but its the sentiment of the investors.
Well, we all know that the events that are taking place are part of what triggers the actions that investors are taking right now. If there is an event that is taking place, and people feels that it is something that would negatively impact their economy or the market that they’re investing in, or something like that, they would all start selling their assets and converting to Fiat. So that in turn affects the market, and causes the price to start going down.

The same thing also happens in a good situation that people feel can make the price to start increasing, they all start investing again, and that makes the market to start going up in value.
1854  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $40000 resistance on: March 11, 2022, 03:22:31 PM
As I mentioned in 2021, if the market has not yet made people happy, let time help them get there.

Opportunities will come and go for no one if they don't take advantage of them. We invest and profit with the market, so price volatility is nothing to worry about.

DCA certain coins over the long run, I'm always happy to sell them after a while.
Hopefully, they can still be patient in waiting for the price to go up again and can use this time to buy and increase the number of bitcoins. The market has provided an opportunity to buy and sell but many people are too late to buy and sell.

Even though it looks like it's being manipulated, we can get a nice advantage if we can use that moment. Now is a good time to buy and hold because there is a possibility that the price will go up again. Maybe we'll see prices going up and down more often so that's our chance to make the most of it.
2021 was already a good moment for a sell off because the prices of the cryptos are rising that time but I wonder why some people aren't happy that time. Do they miss to sell because they are expecting more? well that was already their problem, they became too greedy and now they are forced to wait again because the price haven't recovered yet for a long time but along with waiting they can also apply what you said above.

Not that it looks manipulated but this market is actually prone to manipulation. Up to us if how can we react to this but most people only react verbally while others are taking action, makes the manipulation in favour to them.
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tell us about the best altcoin in the current situation. on: March 11, 2022, 08:11:31 AM
I see there are many good altcoins, but the current times are unpredictable as the market is dependent on the movement of BTC. After the events that have passed since the war between Russia and Ukraine happened, we have seen the reaction of the market, but indeed, it is still very vague about the future. I see some altcoins like ETH, SOL, AVA, DOT, ATOM... all good altcoins, but it depends on one's point of view and how we can approach them.
If all follows btc then that will be easy to predict. When btc goes up first, that's a sign that altcoins will follow so you should be buying lots of it only if you want to make profits. While when btc goes down, you should sell or if you want you can continue hodling because alts will soon dumped.

The market reacted good after the war because both countries are now considering cryptos as alternative payment methods for a while due to their complicated situation but who knows maybe both countries will like it and will stay with it even things were sorted out, future of cryptos is going to be more brighter that is for sure. Coins that you list are great, I can recommend that too to the OP.
1856  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation seem like the only option left on: March 11, 2022, 04:58:02 AM
This corona was used by lot of business people, investors and by the government. When the pandemic was begin by the government, the people who brought huge amount of dollars. They will sell and reduce the dollar value. When the same was happened, the dollar value reduced huge. So then, it's easy for them to manage to buy huge amount of dollars at very cheap. When government released the same pandemic, the person will sell the dollars and get some good profit into their pocket.
Pandemic is not being released by the government, pandemic is a disease, I believe you mean coronavirus. So that means what you’re trying to say is about the government ordering a lockdown, that was the case in 2021.The lockdown led to a decrease in the price of so many assets, which are now back to being bullish, such as Bitcoin that was able to hit an all time high price, and right now it has gotten to $40,000 after the correction.

But, we should still be looking forward to further increase, I believe from 2025 when there is a halving. So, this isn’t much of a problem, it’s expected to happen, it has been happening for years now since Bitcoin was created.
1857  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is the best crypto provider to give you advice on how to trade in crypto? on: March 11, 2022, 04:11:34 AM
Lots of people have been scammed just because they are looking for trading signal, I believe we shouldn't depend on anybody before we trade, cryptocurrency trading is not really easy and most people always learn how to trade in a hard way, I also wasted lot's of money when I started trading because I don't really have anybody to teach me and I don't really want to depend on anybody for trading signals so I always make sure I do my research myself.
The best thing anyone can do for themselves is to learn how to predict the price in the cryptocurrency market. There isn’t any need for you to pay much money for you to learn strategies that are involved in the business, there are lots of courses that you can do online for a cheaper rate, such as udemy.com, coursera.com, and the rest of them that can be really helpful. And some of the free YouTube videos that you can find online these days can as well be really helpful in teaching you as a newbie, how you can be able to use some reliable strategies for trading cryptocurrency assets. As for relying on signal providers, most of them would end up disappointing you.
1858  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is a part of war now, like it or not on: March 10, 2022, 09:44:52 PM
We can look for the benefits and harms that it helps and solve the problems of war. Cryptocurrencies make it easier and faster to donate and support military operations than ever before. Therefore, it is also at risk of being taken advantage of, becoming a tool for sponsoring violence and creating conflict. The fact that people, even governments of some countries, use cryptocurrencies as a channel to mobilize resources for conflicts is a problem in the same way that the Internet is dragged into war.
The same logic applied when people all around the world supported terrorist organizations. Ukraine has a donation with crypto option, but scary enough that ISIS also had the thing. Which means that someone in the USA, in UK, in Europe, in china or in anywhere really could end up sending bitcoins to ISIS as well. That is the scary part of crypto, there is a decentralization going on that you can't stop and we like, which results with bad people getting money to do bad things as well.

You may not agree that darnket or silk road type of places are bad, but along with all the "I just bought some weed" type of liberty related stuff, we also had "I paid someone to kill a guy and paid in bitcoin" in there as well. This is why even though crypto should be decentralized, the way we use crypto should be regulated, that way governments can't do anything TO bitcoin, but they can do it to people.
1859  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Prediction for March!! on: March 10, 2022, 08:45:03 PM
For me March will be a month that I will not see much success in that a bullish movement for BTC can occur, on the contrary, I think it will be a month that can lower BTC more if the war with Russia and Ukraine settles down, this is for the reason that many investors will panic and start taking preventive measures, it seems for many investors the best thing is to put all their money in gold, for others they can diversify with other Real Estate options, but the few who want to diversify with BTC will be winners in the moment BTC reaches its new ATH.
I agree that bullish doesn't seem to be the way to go right now. But, you should also realize that crypto is volatile and unexpected. Which means that we could see bitcoin at 30k, or we could see it 50k and both could always happen at any time. We are not looking at anything that would be unrealistic, we are looking at something that happened many times before and it could happen again.

I know that people are not really thrilled about the possibility of the price crashing at any moment, but they should also learn to be happy about the fact that the price could be increasing like crazy at any given minute as well. Yes it doesn't look like that right now, and yes it hasn't in months but that doesn't mean that it won't happen.
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: REASON WHY ALTCOIN MARKET HARD TO SPECULATE on: March 10, 2022, 08:16:59 PM
Altcoins lose value faster than BTC is that's what you need to hear, a 10% loss in price of BTC can tank 30% or more off any altcoins this is why I only invest 30% of money into altcoins and 70% into BTC, the best store of value after stable coins is BTC.
The reason why altcoins move harder is the fact that they lack liquidity and volume. Which means that if you spend a million dollars to buy an altcoin, you may end up doing even 2x on it. This may not work on ETH, but it does work on many smaller cap projects. Which is why there are bigger moves. Change the numbers and you could even have an impact on top 10 coins. So all in all it is not really that easy to finish it all.

I have to say that it is not easy, but also I would like to say that it is more profitable for the same reason as well. Because even though it could drop harder, it could also go up higher as well. This allows people to make a lot more money.
