9741  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Updating from Electrum 3.3.6 to 3.3.8 on: July 30, 2019, 11:04:50 AM
Additionally to what others have said.
It doesn't matter which one you download (I prefer standalone because it is cleaner).
And you don't have to enter your seed again. Be careful and always double check everything because entering your seed (most of phishing asks your seed)
9742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Signature Campaign and Bounties - BELIEVE COIN on: July 30, 2019, 10:47:40 AM
I doubt any good manager would accept a coin with only 0.02 BTC buy orders. Use BTC to pay them, especially because you post your offer on the Services section.

That's better than most bounties in altcoin session, which are not even listed in exchanges at all....

Usually those projects are promoted during or before the ico, and listed in exchanges afterwards
9743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me to understand bitcoin mixing on: July 30, 2019, 12:30:58 AM
Now there is no easy way for someone to know where your address A coins went to, since you sent them to a mixer which address may or not be known, and another random address from the mixer (B) sent to Address B.

I hope you understand this.

I once saw antonopoulos explaining that even using a mixer your coins can be tracked back to you, so a mixer would be pseudo anonymous.
Any thoughts on this? Probably even mixers can be traced back to sender if someone spend a lot of time?

He said in a video, I will look for it later.
9744  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / LedgerBot - New phishing on Ledger on: July 29, 2019, 03:27:37 PM
I saw this on Reddit. Some people robbed already
https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/cj9xo0/new_ledger_bot_trying_to_obtain_private_key_and/

Never write your seed you received from your hardware Wallet device anywhere, just ion a paper. Never on a computer or phone.
9745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any other good reasons to try been a legendary member? on: July 29, 2019, 03:19:44 PM
If you are interested in Bitcoin, ofc it is super cool to have a legendary account in this forum.

This forum has a lot of history. Being someone who is contributing to the forum, participating in discussions, helping newbies and learning is interesting. Becoming a legendary is like leveling up . I wanna get there.

as I read in xtraelv signature"we are surrounded by legends here"

If you are just interested in bounties, it is also useful because you will get higher payout... But I believe that in a few months /years  legendary spammers will be worthless accounts.
9746  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much ROI% per month is fair? on: July 29, 2019, 02:15:24 PM
Being a more risk investment option, I would recommend offering your customers between 1-2% per month guaranteed, while maintaining a safety fund to cover any negative months.

Even 1-2% a month is absurd in traditional markets

Unless you are going to etf / stocks, you won't receive hat much return.

Nobody can give you that return in normal conditions without taking lots of risks

There are some countries with high interest rates which may give you that returns, but here is a problem with high inflation so you will not get a real 12% an year.
9747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoin affiliate offers on: July 29, 2019, 11:05:14 AM
Where can I find opportunities and offers which will reward me for joining as a referral through an affiliate?

As ddmrddmr said you cannot include referral in your posts, only in signature
This is very reasonable, because it would create a lot of spam and advertising.

To do what you want you need to create your own plataform and post your affiliate links there.

For example, write articles in medium or steemit and include your referrals, that would be the best and most effective way of getting lots of referrals.

It is not easy, and you need to create lots of high quality articles.
9748  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Piramideiros!!! postem aqui!!! on: July 28, 2019, 10:04:32 PM

9749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My mindset vs. Mindset of people around me. on: July 28, 2019, 12:02:30 PM

How much you need to have decent life in Brazil? ChipMixer signature participants have the possibility to get 0.0375 BTC per week or 0.15BTC per month. This is at current rate around $1400, and you can live in almost any EU country with that. By what I find online, average monthly net salary in Brazil is $465, and all utilities for 85m2 apartment are around $75.

Source of info : https://www.numbeo.com

To have a decent life, renting a house, being able to travel once a year, eat in a restaurant with a girl once a week and drink a beer, have a health plan (which costs near $100-150 per adult), I would say at least 1500-2000 USD depending on the city.  there are cities like Rio de janeiro which are as expensive as any big cities like London for example. Can you live well in London with 1500? I think someone can survive but in medium term  may have financial problems (there are unexpected costs, for example my notebook was robbed few months ago and I had to spent Usd500 in a new one). maybe Rio dr janeiro is even more expensive because there is no public service here. (You need to pay schools, hospital expenses, health plan, no police etc)

For how long was BTC above 10k? The average price since 2017 probably was about 5-7k.
There were months when it was 3200, such as December.  That would be like 500 USD. (What would be rent and health plan only probably). There is no public health plan here (there is but you will die if you need it.)

Also, can you live without ever paying taxes?

If you have a child, forget about all that math lol

Signatures, bounties are a great complementary income. They are very significant anywhere in the world, but I wouldn't live solely with them. Don't think it is safe or wise.
9750  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Arf Wallet: We make Bitcoin SIMPLE | FREE | INSTANT | SECURE on: July 28, 2019, 11:19:52 AM

Simple
To send Bitcoin via Arf you don’t need to know the recipient's Bitcoin address and they don’t even need to be an Arf user. Just send some Bitcoin to their email address and we handle the rest.
Free
You don’t pay any network transaction fees or commissions when you send money within the Arf Payments Network. It’s FREE!
Instant
Every transaction within the Arf Payments Network occurs instantly. We built a new Layer 2 technology, called Pipeline, that validates all transactions instantly and settles them with Bitcoin network in bulk.
Secure
Arf uses non-custodial multisig wallets to handle all on-chain and off-chain funds. Your money is yours. So, even if we are hacked your funds are always safe.

This looks like a custodial service to me. Or something like off chain transactions
Please clarify.

You cannot make on chain transactions for free, neither transactions without knowing the receiving address
9751  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: private key stealers embedded into android, ios, OSX and Windows also hardware on: July 28, 2019, 11:16:51 AM
The upshot being you can only trust air gapped computers and transfer signed transactions by qr code.

Would you feel safe with a linux distro and not air gapped?

The problem with that approach is that it is more complex and there are a many vulnerabilities that can pop up if the  computer is not properly airgapped. And there are many reports of newbies losing funds using paper wallets.

For an average user it is much safer to just use a hardwallet in a common daily computer.
You can use a ledger nano in an infected computer. There is just a single step, which is to note down the seed and plug the device and you are 99% safe (unless a hacker have a physical access to your device.)

9753  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Just Downloaded Electrum 3.3.6 and all my Bitcoin is stuck in my Electrum Wallet on: July 27, 2019, 11:45:32 PM
. I made a New Wallet that is a Legacy instead of Segwit Wallet which I am trying to Send the Money to the Legacy Wallet due to the BC1 Receive Address won't let Me Receive or Send Bitcoin. Except it says BTC next to the Send Bitcoin thing on the Electrum Wallet?

This is the problem.
Please read what pooya87 said

You need to create a wallet that is segwit, like your original one that has the funds.
9754  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: HELP!!Sent coin to electrum wallet receive address, never received. on: July 27, 2019, 08:59:51 PM

My funds are not in the wallet I sent them from.  The transaction still shows as pending, after 2 days.   The transaction destination address: 19SW7oLhgxCPgbvDTtdnSYH1HcoBbuQh75
which is the intended address.  My electrum wallet shows this address as unused.

This address is empty and there are no incoming transactions. Your funds never left your wallet and there is no transaction in the mempool to be confirmed.
From what address did you send the funds?

You said you had a wallet before. What is your public address of that wallet?
9755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My mindset vs. Mindset of people around me. on: July 27, 2019, 01:59:03 PM
He is in same signature campaign as you, and that means that he earn some crypto by promoting someone or something in his signature. By check OP post history I find some additional information about his previous job, and by reading that it is very easy to understand why he is not want to work some regular work - he say that with his signature campaign he get x2-x3 more then before.

I am not saying that he should focus only on crypto, but I fully understand him - if you have choice to work for $100 per month or $300 per month it is quite obvious what most would choose. I think that even with 1 BTC he will become super rich in his country (Philippines).

No, 1 btc doesn't make anyone super rich anywhere. That's not how poor countries work.

He had a shitful job, but a signature campaign is not a job.
I live in a country as fuked as Philippines and this signature campaign cannot pay my monthly expenses, not even close. But it is a very good paym and it is not insignificant.

I have a full time job that pays nice in brazil, and thats the only way to survive in a poor country. Even chipmixer wouldn't pay enough to live here. Maybe a shitful single life without any luxury or travels etc.

Someone is paying for op rent, food, etc. He is paying for his beer that's all

And beer, cars, house, etc is very expensive in poor countries too. But wages are very small... And there's lots of unemployment.. but there is no other way, we all have to work.
9756  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Technology Disaster on: July 27, 2019, 12:36:59 PM
Anyone who have a family and holds any significant amount of money in cryptocurrencies should tell a trusted family member where the privatekeys are.

This would be a nice back up and also a way for family members to use your money if you pass away.
Would you let your children without your BTC if you pass away?
9757  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My mindset vs. Mindset of people around me. on: July 27, 2019, 10:44:39 AM
What the hell are you doing in your computer?

You have to pay for your bills as o_e_l_e_o said. Pay for your rent, food, drinks, travels, etc. If you live with your parents, just go get a job to pay for your own home.

Cryptocurrencies will not give you financial freedom by itself. Even if Bitcoin goes to 100k USD, you need at least money to buy 5-10 bitcoins now, which would cost you 50k USD. If you don't have at least 500k USD, no matter where you live, you will have to qork. In your life to pay for food rent etc...

To get that 50k USD, you need to work (or someone will pay that for you)
9758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trusting private key legitimacy on: July 27, 2019, 01:59:33 AM
For that matter, when I buy a hardware wallet, how can I trust it to have legit private key?  Is there way to verify the legitimacy of the private key?

One easy way is to use your hardware wallet with Electrum.

Electrum is a third party software, unrelated to ledger or trezor, and open source. It can be used with any hardware wallet and will instantly recognize your private keys   created by the hardwallet
9759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It can be done on: July 27, 2019, 01:31:34 AM
Very good job op.

I see you are already in a nice payment BTC campaign.

Let me ask you. Do you still do bounties? Do you think are they worth?
I never joined a bounty, never tried. But I heard some of them pay very well.
9760  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: HELP!!Sent coin to electrum wallet receive address, never received. on: July 27, 2019, 12:28:08 AM
It could be because the transaction from your sending address hasn't been confirmed yet due to low transactions fees used. It would have been easy if you look at the sending address through any bitcoin explorer to see if there is any out going unconfirmed transaction and let us know Wink

Blockchain explorer shows no transactions at all for the destination address.   The memonic seed does not list the destination address either.

Só your funds are in the original Wallet, right?
Did you check your balance on a block explorer, of your other wallet ?(nnot the Electrum one, but the one you sent the funds from)
