Doing it Dogey style.   Cheesy

That is very funny, and good "exposure" for DOGE.  Cheesy

Funny how this happened only a few days after someone started the "Doge4porn" initiative on Reddit Cheesy

What do you think about Dogecoin? Stays already for a long time in the media. Do you think this coin has a good future?

It does seem undervalued right now, considering the huge price drop since last month, and the fact that block halving will happen in three days.

60% Doge, 30% Peercoin, and 10% BTC Smiley

In other words; Community, energy-efficient security, and merchant acceptance.
765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I post free bitcoin receiving sites here? on: July 10, 2014, 01:57:35 PM
I never mined for bitcoin, and all what I have came from receiving sites.
I am thinking whether posting these sites is allowed or not.

Can anyone answer it?
Or where should I post this question?

Posting them would be redundant, since they already are in your signature.
Because of that, it might be frowned upon and considered as spammy. The signature is not a problem though.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Fair? on: July 10, 2014, 01:55:53 PM
Nothing is fair as long as there are people.

Why did the Sovjet union exist? Becouse the Communism would give everybody the same, did it work? Obviously not as you may already know...

That might be idealist, but I believe the decentralised aspect of cryptocurrencies could contribute greatly to bring a fair economy.

Why is Dogecoin hashrate  still @ 90Gh+?

Because hundreds of new ASICs are sold everyday, and Litecoin's difficulty is skyrocketing (now at 19000, and it was 13000 two weeks ago!)
So because of that Dogecoin still is one the most profitable coin to mine.
768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie DO'S and DONT'S? on: July 10, 2014, 01:52:36 PM
I only use blockchain for now. I'm not that techie so how can i make mine secure?

stop using blockchain, download bitcoin core and transfer the bitcoins to your new address

there are numerous ways to protect your OWN wallet, once you have a wallet on blockchain it's not actually your wallet

Actually, blockchain is quite better than all the other online wallet. It does not hold the private key to your wallet, so it is truly yours. And there are ways to make a back-up which you can then import to a desktop wallet in case blockchain.info crashes for some reason.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin halving next week. Inflation cut by 50%. on: July 10, 2014, 01:51:21 PM
Seems Doge had his best period already. Any reasons it should go up? Not following communities closely these days.

The community and the devs are still active. Discussion about PoS is still going on, and there are awesome projects currently like Voidspace the Steam game which uses Dogecoin as in-game currency, and the lunar rover project were dogecoin-sponsored robots will litteraly race on the moon.

Plus, /r/dogecoin is quite fun and positive lately, it seems the troll have gone away.
770  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever reach $1000 dollars again? on: July 10, 2014, 01:48:09 PM
It's a catch 22.  If BTC is expected to go up rapidly, people won't spend their coins.  Non usage of coins leads to less adoption and less demand and then lower price.

not really

less usage should mean less coins in circulation which would cause bigger demand aka. bigger price Wink

Less coins in circulation would mean a lower trade volume, this is quite bad for investor.

They would not want to put money in something whose volume could not support them being dumped on by some of the many big holders.
771  Economy / Securities / Re: [Pon3 Mining] Scrypt/BTC Hybrid Year Long Mining Operation IPO on: July 10, 2014, 01:44:45 PM
would we make anything by going on leaserig?
I dont think it would be enough to cover the difference, mining is shit right now for alts  Undecided

I doubt GPU mining will be much better in the future :/

Perhaps you could sell the graphic cards to gamers and buy scrypt asics?
Scrypt ASICs are a terribad investment now too.  The machines that cost 9k right now bring in .062 daily.  That doesn't even include power Lips sealed

Yeah, you're right. Still, it seems better than GPUs, considering the quite lower electricity cost.
There was a deal last week for 45$ Gaw furies, which get 1,3 mh/s on 40 watts. Perhaps if something similar comes along...

Btw, terribad is an awesome word.

Dat pump!

I love the 1 minute block confirmations. With slow coins like Peercoin, my transfer to cryptsy always end up getting confirmed when the pump is over Tongue

Another rally? I haven't checked the DOGE price for over 8 hours, thanks for the alert.  Smiley

If I had been drinking coffee, I'd have spit it over my keyboard after seeing the green 24% on coinmarketcap!

But there's a scary 200 megadoges sell wall at 46 sat, so a correction should come quite soon. Although there seems to be a lot of buyers.

I just placed some buy-back orders, and will be happy with either direction.

The speculation and trading isn't "everything", but it sure is fun to have things go well, especially after a long wait.  Smiley

Yeah, I also will be happy wether it goes up or down.

I won't touch my long-term stash until the moon, but there's great fun and profit to be had with a short-term and mid-term stash, and it allows to keep one's sanity even in a painful bear market Tongue

Actualy, for me it might be Mass Effect series. ME are freakinī amazing games, with absolutely epic story and not bad gameplay... Crysis not bad too, but i prefer only Crysis 1. Smiley

I was considering playing a game in the Mass Effect series. Which one would you sugget me to try, the first, second, or third?

Thanks Smiley
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Fair? on: July 09, 2014, 03:11:17 PM
I agree but the alt coins don't have the same community/ecosystem Bitcoin has.  Also it is hard to find a good coin in such a saturated market full of scams, clones and pump & dumps.  But I agree with you their is that potential none the less.

Yeah, a lot of research are needed to find a good coin, but spending a few hours visiting a coin's community should be enough to judge if it is legit or if it simply is filled with speculators.

A few coins do have a nice community.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Fair? on: July 09, 2014, 03:03:17 PM
Bitcoin is fair to me because it was for sale to everyone when the price was low.  Anybody paying attention had a chance to buy and hold but many didn't take the risk.  So to me in that sense it is fair.  But not everyone has access to the internet or were aware of it's existance.  So it that sense it is not so fair.

The great thing is that, for those who deem that Bitcoin is not fair and yet are still interested in cryptocurrencies, they now have hundreds of them to choose from!

Altcoins are a great asset to the fairness of cryptocurrencies.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happening with DOGE? on: July 09, 2014, 03:00:24 PM
Doge has nice community, that's good but how long will it survive with just community, that's the big question.

I quite agree. I also add that I believe people underestimate just how fickle these crypto communities are. They arrived quickley, something better/funnier pops up, they can disappear just as quickly as they arrived. The ones late catching on get left holding the baby.

I think that the community is well established enough so a similar coin could not steal many users from it.

It has a good first-mover advantage for communities centered on fun and light-heartness.

an other factor is that the billion coins will be better distributed along the line. because the coin is immune to pump and dumps. and they will not get stuck to die at such a high price. We can see this behavior with dogecoin.

What are you babbling on about son?

It is not immune to pump and dump, but at least it has a community built-up for other reasons than speculating, this is something that few other coins have in commun. Which should make the pump and dumps have less impact; the community will buy and spend their dogecoins with relatively few regards to the price.

I think that's what Bitwho meant.

Doge has nice community , that's good but how long will it survive  with just community , that's the big question.

Isn't the community the only thing that matters in currencies?

Who would care about the USD if there wasn't a nation of users behind it? The government and the technology behind it are not what is giving it value.

Usually price drops after block halving, but we will see  Smiley

This, if I recall correctly, was only true for the last one.
