701  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 16, 2014, 01:30:55 PM
Can I join for next month now or do I have to wait couple more hours?
What I have to do to join? Is OP up to date for 17.7-17.8 period?

I'm pretty sure you can, and since you won't get the minimum 50 posts for the month, they will simply be counted for the next month.

How much is one Pandacoin worth in dollars?

$0.000004, according to Coinmarketcap.com
703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: day trading - what's the catch? on: July 15, 2014, 06:50:25 PM
I suggest with bitcoin, trading larger cycles, and not day trading. Wink

how do you mean?

Instead of trying to profit from the <5% fluctuations that happen in the span of a few days, trade on large time-scales; ie. buy now and sell when the price is at 800$, then buy back at 600$, etc. This is less risky, since it depends less on luck.

I think that's what he meant.
704  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BitCoin faucets really worth the time? on: July 15, 2014, 06:24:34 PM
I did some faucets back in 2013. It was a waste of time then -- gotta be a colossal waste of time now. Roll Eyes

probably

but remember

if you did faucets in 2009 and kept the coins it would be worth it

if someone does faucets in 2014 and keeps them until 2019

will it be worth it? Smiley

Maybe, but even in that scenario doing faucets for hundreds of hours would still be less profitable than buying 5$ worth of Bitcoins and holding until then Tongue
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DRK has been Rated SELL on: July 15, 2014, 06:21:49 PM
DRK has been Rated SELL

http://cryptoanalytics.trade/analyst-ratings/
@CryptoAnalytic

It states to sell until the announcement and implementation of RC4 which is less than 2 weeks from being in place.  It's a buy.

That is if it manages to be implemented. The failed implementations of the master nodes have, for good reasons, made investors less confident.
706  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why have you joined Bitcoin? on: July 15, 2014, 06:19:11 PM
becus of earning money Cheesy

Did you manage to succeed? It seems to me that most persons who buy Bitcoin for that purpose end up losing money Tongue

711  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gawminers.com really or scam ? on: July 15, 2014, 06:03:57 PM

The one with same-day shipping is black, quite less appealing than the red one Tongue

Plus, week 8 miners should ship in only two days.

713  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 15, 2014, 05:58:13 PM
Just joined today.

So I just have to submit a claim form after the 17th (but no later than?) and I get paid?

"
Payment period will be the 17th of every month, please allow up to 48 hours for payment"

Thanks.

If you manage to make 50 legit posts in two days. If not, they will simply be accumulated for next month's payment.
And the claim should be on the 17th (or 16th), not after.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: July 15, 2014, 05:56:55 PM
Doge has halved.  One more step toward ending our period of hyperinflation.

Congrats to user 2111411800 @ Hashfaster for finding block 300,000 (and sharing it with me)   Grin

And the hashrate is still at 52 gh/s; not bad Smiley

I guess there won't be any need to worry about security for the next two months, if the price stays stable.
715  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: July 15, 2014, 05:19:44 PM
Awesome thread here, thanks for putting all these together. Just picked up an extra 1$ per week  Tongue

Are you sure that you can use more than one ad in your signature?
They usually don't allow that.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin halving next week. Inflation cut by 50%. on: July 15, 2014, 04:32:10 PM
Now at block #299992, so the halving will be in less than 8 minutes!

Less profits will be leeched by multipools from Dogecoin Smiley
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DRK has been Rated SELL on: July 15, 2014, 04:27:29 PM
It is definitely over-valued, until it actually manages to become anonymous.
Especially considering all the other coins competing to fill that niche, with different technologies which might end-up being more stable.
718  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favorite video games of all time. on: July 15, 2014, 04:25:13 PM
What about some old NES games?

Battle Toads
Arkanoid----PS has anyone actually ever beat this game without cheating?  I don't think its possible I just wanted to check
Original Final Fantasy
Mario series
Trying to think of some more good ones....

I'd add The Legend of Zelda to your list!
It's still fun to play, even though it was the first experiment in an open-world adventure game.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are there any stable altcoins? 99.9 percent seem to be on: July 15, 2014, 04:23:35 PM
The most stable coin for the past few months has been Goldcoin (GLD). But that's soon about to change!

https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=2616.0

In the past few months it oscillated between 1200 and 3500 satoshis, it's not bad but stable is an overstatement Tongue
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: July 15, 2014, 04:20:34 PM
Happy halving day to all!
It should come in less than one hour Smiley

So we can get half way to the moon?  Cheesy
Seriously, it seems like dogecoin could have taken more time to create so many coins, but it does make for a fascinating experiment.
I don't use Reddit much (yet) is the DOGE group still going strong?

Yes it was quite interesting lately, with a good balance between light-hearted fun and intelligent analysis.
Here's a post called "Confession of a Bitcoiner", where he relates how Dogecoin reminds him of the early, idealist, days of Bitcoin: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/2ansdj/of_wolves_and_weasels_day_187_guest_post/

I agree about this being a fascinating experiment Smiley
Since this was based on a meme, it was unlikely to stay viable in the long-term if everything about it was not happening 10x faster than the other coins Cheesy
