I'm done with this thread... nothing but a bunch of idiots, hasn't been any kind of useful information here in weeks.
Holding my coins... hope you all can find a way to stop responding to these idiots. Good luck!
i concur. this is getting ridiculous. its actually been ridiculous for awhile now. this should not be a "troll box". wow. i keep lurking to see if there is any useful informatio and maybe useful educated information.... but its not happening. just a complete lack of respect and intelligence. is the darkcoin forum moderated for abusive behavior? you're far better off going to darkcointalk for actual information, yes. everyone selling off right now seems to have missed this very promising memo yesterday: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/status-update-7-1-2014.1675/ill do my part as one of the original members of this thread to refer people to the darkcointalk. org thanks videos

We need less nicey-nice and more pimp hand... It's not at all about the price. It's about progress. Bad Actors are stonewalling development. Price is just a proxy of that. I want the value up, yeah. I hold a shitload of DRK. But that's secondary to making it function as promised for so many months now. Bitch slap these turd burglars. They've had way more than enough notice. Nope. I don't have a masternode. I just want to see progress. It's never, ever, ever a good idea to let the bad guys decide your progress because you'll end up with none. You don't just give the bad guy whatever he wants, you shoot the fucker in the face. While I appreciate your colorful use of imagery...the "pimp hand' approach would take a similar amount of time to implement as would the actual fix. To put it another way, it doesn't make sense to run to the bedroom for a handgun when the appropriate tool for the job is the shotgun by the front door. But isn't enforcement already there? You make my point for me... If enforcement is already in RC3, why is it no being switched on? Am I to infer that a different method of vote amalgamation is being implemented that fundamentally changes the protocol, thus pushing them out by new default operation instead of deliberate pimp hand? Rendering the RC3 enforcement obsolete, thus not bothering to use it? RC4 will do it by virtue of new magic stuff? Essentially, "Blocks are being done a new way in RC4, you better damn well update." And MN payments are just part of that, so why pimp hand when you can have a mo betta excuse for forcing an update that looks less mean to people who care about sugar-coated bullshit, but really does the same damn thing? No need to infer . He explains as much here. Though I'm not sure magic is involved anywhere. Lols, I'm just trying to dumb it down, cuz you know damn well 5000 people are going to read it and say they don't have an answer, just like has happened hundreds of times in the past several thousand pages... Then a supporter ends up looking like a troll asking a stupid question that clearly has already been answered... I figured I would ask the stupid question because you at least know I'm not actually stupid enough to not already know and maybe take the damn hint... New way of hashing these metrics together == they'll be pushed out anyway in RC4, so why bother utilizing the enforcement already in hand... How hard is that? A fair part of that announcement thread is about how much better comms will be, well, uh... Isn't this THE thing on everyone's minds right now? I don't ask you to like me. In fact, I don't want you to like me. I'm just staying on point and you'd prefer I not... That's not a good sign. hey camosoul. im sorry to ask.. whats all the hoopla about? and i see peeps are all up in arms? tried to follow the link in status update but doen't work. thanks for the help.

THE FACTS ABOUT DARK COIN
1. released without windows QT so that only dev and pals could mine it.
2. Instamined harder than any other coin out there 12.5% of the current minting was mined in the first day
3. Later they decided to cut the minting by 75% to turn their 12.5% instamine with no windows QT into 50% instamine in 24hours - nice hey
yes that is correct they mined 50% of all the coins available at this time by themselves in the first 24 hours whilst windows users could not mine.
That is the facts.... doesn't matter what else they say... nothing can change what they have done.
Once zero coin, or bytecoin with a decent wallet it released or another darkcoin clone is released.... dark coin will sink like a stone.
Every time they try to spam their coin just post this to remind them of the facts about their coin.
This whole pre-mine instamine is starting to get old now. I don't care if 100% of the coin is owned by 1 developer. If the product is great, is innovative and has useful features its worth what i'm willing to pay for it. Its like saying I should share my wealth of my own business with random people, because its the right thing to do. IF, which it was NOT 50% instamined, as I was one of the first initial core to discover DarkCoin, I knew right off the bat that this coin was going somewhere...I spent 10's of thousands of dollars on mining servers from microsoft and amazon to mine DRK coin...I took a huge gamble and it paid off...then there should be reward for that. At the writing of your message there was barely 4 million coins minted, of a possible 20+ million. Thats NOT 50% instamined...what about the other 16+million coins yet to be mined?

This makes me sad, why invest with money you cannot afford to lose? Quit being a loser and save some money first for investment!
+1, or get a better job, or lower your expenses etc.. it's very irresponsible to bet with your livelihood. Sometimes you gotta grab opportunity by the balls. The safe bet is rarely a major payoff. I applaud someone who takes an aggressive risk. I was homeless when I bought BTC at $4. The money I spent on that served me much better than paying rent. It's also the same money I've invested in DRK. My DRK investment now stands at 7 digits. Original investment was under $500 while I was homeless. I leveraged the power of the very same entitled trash that voted me into homelessness; stupid people. It's entirely reasonable to say that RC3 could still happen today. I learned that life is full of surprises and opportunities, if you are patient enough, and keep on investing small but regularly, someday a major payoff will come. It will come eventually. But if you go all in all the time, you run the risk of losing very badly. Horrificly, so that you get fucked up beyond repair. One bad bet can ruin your life and throw you back 20 years. I like risk, but why have MORE RISK then necessary? I like to have a backup plan you know. If a backup is good for my wallet, it is also good for my investment plan. ;-) When you have nothing to lose, it's really not a risk, is it? A wise but evil man once told me, society degrades because nobody is willing to risk losing what they've already got. I already had nothing. And I rather enjoyed being homeless. It made me what I am today. Not just money, but mentally. I'm nothing at all like the person I was 10 years ago. Not even 5% the same person, and almost all of that was from being homeless. I'm orders of magnitude better in every way than I was. People are terrified of what other people will think of them, how they will survive without luxury and convenience... There are things more important than self-preservation, and self-preservation is really not as hard as most people think it is. Going all in all the time is a fools game, you're right. I only did it twice. Buying BTC at $4 and below, and buying DRK at $0.4 and below. Less than middle 3 digits is now 7 digits. Worth it. Had nothing to lose anyway... Camsoul....we are with you. I never chat on here for pump and dump short timers. As one of the original investors...at $.19/drk back in January I'm not here to cash out either. Lets raise a glass and enjoy the weekend. Weed out all the tweekers....and get support to Evan and crew. Cheers...have a great weekend.

You are correct that your scenario is in the blockchain. I was replying that you need to keep in mind the bigger picture where we can't validate the transfer. These people lost out just like you, but it can't be confirmed.
I dont understand what the hell is going on here. I bought my Qora, over 24m all on Poloneix ...i don't even know what the hell sharexcoin is or was...I bought them all through the exchange. Why are my coins being held up then? I have a log of all the bids and buys on Polo for every single one of them? Why is my coins being held up then.... you can paste your trades records to prove it. sir... I don't need to prove this to anyone. Mr. Busoni would know this. It's his own exchange and certainly I would share this information with him and him only to verify. I have no problem with my coins being held while the Polo wallet and investigation is on going. What irks me is that he hasn't reached out to explain this situation and to reassure some of the larger holders. Certainly IF for some reason my coins are "swiped" I'll would be releasing that to the general public. Mr. Busoni would be able to confirm that every single one of those coins were bought on his exchange.... and that I've never used his site as a wallet store for my coins if any kind.

I am still waiting to hear back from the Qora dev about whether it is safe to continue trading Qora. When the recent Sharexcoin transaction vanished from the block explorer, only to reappear hours later, I decided I needed to hear from the dev about the current stability of this coin. That is why it is still frozen--it has nothing to do with ShareXcoin.
Regarding ShareXcoin, at the moment it looks like I have seized about 24 million Qora and 0.80 BTC. I'm not sure what should be done with this money, as we don't have a record of people's ShareXcoin balances.
Thanks for the info Busoni! When are we going to have access to our Qora coin again?

This is a sad state of affairs! I don't see any of us originals on here and I can see why. We never had this type of behavior in this thread. My take... and I know a Evan would agree... let the best coin win. Innovation is driven by competition and XC and Monero or Darkcoin have every right to forge their own path. If a coin doesn't live up to its billing... the market will sort these things out. This is not a competition between which coin or ideology is the best... that kind of thinking is best left in a grade 1 sand box. We are forging a very new path... and people, we need to get Joe Public on board, to make these technologies more approachable and usable in everyday lives. Cause eventually... the coal will run out and there's no more steam. We should be collaborating with everyone and presenting multiple technologies and showing the benefits of what we are developing here... IMHO. Thanks everyone.

Hi Everyone, I have decided to be the first retail business to accept DarkCoin. We are a single vineyard small lot wine producer in the Okanagan Valley, BC Canada. I need some peeps to send us a logo for us to promote Darcoin at our till. You can see our winery at www.facebook.com/misconductwineco (website is getting a make over) and on twitter @misconductwines I'll put up 50 DRK for someone to help us with designing a POS display by our till and we'll take photos of my staff and I....with DarkCoin logos throughout our wineshop. As well as promoting DarkCoin as a payment option for our new to be released online retail store for the winery. We could negotiate further payment for help to design a portal page on the site for DarkCoin payments. Thanks guys! Look forward to accepting DarkCoins at our shop. Rich Simple design. But replace the QR code with your address. Hi Taurine thanks I could use this too. I'll be announcing that we will officially accept Darkcoin tomorrow morning. we will post pictures with our staff with the winning POS stand. Hell I'll buy the first bottle of wine with my own darkcoin.... of my own Wine... lol

A very poignant article about crypto currencies and why we here should really take some of the points raised in the article below seriously. There are those here that are focused on technology and are very focused on certain features of this coin...but we must in the big picture take all facets of what it means to be a currency. Wither or not we take the advise of this article, lets say, seriously...I can assure you that version 2.0 of Darkcoin or Bitcoin will gravitate there because we need everyday people to embrace crypto currencies over fiet currencies to make the whole system work at its best. I suppose one could keep currencies like Darkcoin to ourselves....why? We really need to make this user friendly, user identifiable and way less techie ivory tower like. My money is on the coin that eventually can bridge the gap between our neophyte world of crypto currency techno babble and the general population. For the record...I'm all in on Darkcoin...what I'm hoping is some of those here that can grasp what this article below is trying to say...can apply that to our currency...for certain others will. http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-needs-got-milk/
