Yes. But the coin is dying and there is a tiny window to save it by creating a Btc mixing service to get new Btc into the coin. Do it while the marketcap is large enough to handle decent volume.
So if that's what you think needs doing, why not get off your arse and do it instead of moaning that nobody is doing it for you? Because the market is avoiding Drk like Ebola due to it being closed source. Ozziecoin.... that is your opinion... joe public doesnt know the difference between closed source, pre-mined, ninja mined, ipo... what ever, try explaining that to my parents and friends and their like, huh? Joe public cares about utility. Darkcoin will be opened sourced, but that isnt the magic pill you think it is. We voted back in February to keep the source closed till it was fully ready and ready for a full release, not in beta or release candidates. We still stand by that.... so for example if for you its a deal breaker and others... so be it and possibly when its development is completed you may want to join in if it has utility for you once its open sourced... or maybe you won't. its free choice. |

I personally think going closed is what is killing drk. The experts like AA are avoiding it and the whales did not react to RC4. Also markets will not form around closed source tech. There was a window to gain the support of the privacy community. Drk was leading that race.
Nothing is killing DRK.  It's a tiny and volatile market, currently filled with ADD lemmings, prices will fluctuate. Meanwhile clever people are getting on with building something amazing. Anyone whining about the current price who isn't actively participating in some way to add value to the DRK ecosystem should really shut the fuck up, it isn't anyone else's job to give you a free lunch.The current price is a signal. Ignore at your peril. The market does not like Drk as currently formulated. You think I'm getting a free lunch? I invested in Drk. The price drop surprised me. I'm being factual about what happened. No amount of wishful thinking or new tech is going to get whales investing when they did not invest after RC4. At some point Drk will be forced to open source but by that time the market will have moved on. They will be either using another open source anon tech or fork Drk and start fresh. The large mining at the start, block reward change midway and name is proving too big a burden to overcome. It's baggage that someone will discard. That's why Drk may have the best tech but the market is selling it off. The market is betting against Drk. That is a fact. with all respect, we can agree that this is in your own personal opinion right? Everyone has a view point and are just as passionate about their views. Again... this is not my coin... this is Evan's coin. We are free to believe or not believe that its being developed in the right manner. Ultimately if you dont believe in the coins fundamentals and how its being managed then you don't need to participate, wither its right or wrong, correct? Yes. And in there lies what must be totally frustrating, annoying and just down rightanger inducing for Evan and our team. We have arm chair loud mouths that arent contributing a single ounce to this project and expect us members of the dark community to make them rich... and imto boot if its not done in their time line, and not in the way they approve.... they spew shit on everyone and scream that its all shit. Make this known.... if you dont contribute... you dont deserve to make money from here, let alone get rich. There's a souo kitchen down the road from here... you'll have better luck there. What the FUCK is going on here. Testnet demominates me 14000 tDRK with 4 rounds, Mainet made me 90 with 4 rounds within 4hours.
Everything is fine and these BULLSHIT FUCKERS donīt stop spamming FULL TIME all the day they are not SLEEPING.
WHY DO YOU NOT DO SOMETHING WORTHFULL WITH YOUR TIME THAN SPAMMING ALL tHE DAY AROUND
I wish they would do something worthwhile......  This is the view of from my holiday house....but instead I spend some of my time dealing with FUD from those who don't see that alt-coins are R&D for Bitcoin which has to move like a tanker now it is so big and can't change course so easily. R&D alt-coins that are aligned with Bitcoin can have their own value, or Bitcoin can one day try to integrate any of the features the market has deemed valuable. It also means those types of transactions that Bitcoin would rather not be conducted through Bitcoin, well they can be conducted elsewhere to help Bitcoin with its image problems. Trolling here is shooting Bitcoin in the foot. Some people are just too stupid to understand the bigger picture of these things.... nice view but i had to copy and paste because it's not showing up on btctalk. the thing is that darkcoin is not really r&d for bitcoin as far as anon and masternodes go. darkcoin maybe r&d for darkwallet to copy but that does not solve their centralization issue and other issues. that's why dark should stay closed source for many months while reassuring investors with several code reviews from people like kristov, andreas antonopoulos and maybe greg maxwell etc. bitcoin can't do anon and masternodes without a hard fork and they won't do that. so darkcoin is a real threat to bitcoin holders long term and they know it. we have several bitcoin trolls here who hate alts and just use them as p&d's. I think the point is its r&d for the ecosystem. what coins101 is sayong i believe... is we are all in this together ... the outside world looks at crypto coin world as one whole dystem and not the way we see it from withen the fish. Joe public sees us as one tied system, btc, drk, xmr what and we've all been to stupid to realize... when we fud or troll any coin... we are fudding/trolling ourselves... and shooting ourselves in the foot. If we are getting fed up with bullshit between the different coins.. imagine what Joe Public thinks? hes got nothing invested and just thinks this whole system is fucked. Every single comment anyone makes thats negative and hurtfull... is a black mark on ALL cryptos. |

I agree. However, you have to cater for those that do not want to go over to Darkcointalk while this thread remains unlocked. There are a few who do not want their IP address or email tracked through Darkcointalk. I joined Darkcointalk, but a significant number of people still use this thread - whether that is good or bad I don't know anymore now Dark has been in the top 10 for so long - so I post here until this thread is closed. i have struggled with wither or not this thread should get locked. And as annoying as it may seem. it seems refreshing to know everything is out in the open. if people are serious long term smart investors they wont invest via Trolls dribble or flag barers or pump n dampers. they will do market segment research. i believe we are in a far better position now then May. We need to stay on message and ask tough questions help come up with solutions if need be and more importantly now concentrate on rebuilding our community. |

this is truly refreshing! so many pump and dumpers will be gone... and shortly all the whales too. so glad to start with a fresh set of investors that are hopefully much more intelligent then the last group. i feeling relieved that so many will move on else were and spread the spew else where.
Its forward with the plan that was laid out months ago... those from those starting days know well then and now what we embarking on. We've never lost that vision... that in the next few years we will look back and smile. great work for those of you with the vision. Thanks Evan for telling us to wait till the toxic weak hands left... and the end is near. yes!
