Am I not understanding Darksend correctly? I have the latest Darkcoin-QT running with the -test switch. The startup screen is orange and the client says testnet. I've obtained 1001 testnet coins from one of the faucets. I set the Darksend amount to 200 with 3 rounds. After clicking Start Darksend all the client does is sit there and say that Darksend is idle. Is Darksend available in test mode? Do I need to perform another additional step? Am I missing something?

Are these people that troll have other deeper psychological issues from childhood? Anti social behaviour triggered by some traumatic past experience that are now Mal adjusted and feel the need to see read their misery to others? I don't really know... I'm a long time lurker and DRK holder, got some MNs ticking away nicely....I would just like to say that I am DELIGHTED to hear the re-branding news.
That is all.
I am increasingly happy about it as well. At least no one can say it's a boring life being in this coin. I like advancement and solving problems, and the branding was a huge one. More than anything it will wake people up and draw a lot of attention to the roadmap IMO. (+ I just made a tidy gain on my Monero from all the chaos, now realised  ) Yeah... I missed that boat....damn good one tok. |

There seems to be some misunderstanding about the re-branding effort that I would like to clear up.
We've been watching the various conversations pop up about re-branding since the inception of the foundation. When the name "Dash" was recommended by the community, we saw there was a decent amount of support for the name. It also represented what we're attempting to accomplish with Darkcoin, something fast and private as cash. It also sounds very friendly and works as a verb.
After this the foundation started doing some research and found a patent application for the name "Dash". If this patent application was approved it means we couldn't use the name at all. Instead of approaching the community at this point and saying we were thinking about rebranding, we decided to hire a patent attorney to challenge this. We were hoping that we would be able to clear up all of the legal work before approaching the community about the name.
To challenge the patent application required that we purchase the rights to Dashcoin. We need to be able to show prior use of the name "Dash" in order to be able to challenge the application. At this point we could have approached the community with what we were doing and asked the community to fund it, but this would have created a good deal of uncertainty in the market. Instead, I funded the purchase of Dashcoin out of my own pocket, which cost a substantial amount of money. The purpose of this was incase the trademark challenge didn't work, we just would bury the project and leave it be.
If it wasn't for the patent application, this would have been much more transparent. But we were trying to protect the interests of the investors of the coin and not create unnecessary uncertainty.

To my knowledge we have 59 merchants accepting DRK. From VPS providers, VPN Providers to hardware stores, wine merchants, 3d printing services, a lawyer(!)Good thing too. Sounds like people using DRK are going to need one! (sorry, couldn't resist  ) I always have at least 2 law firms on retainer at all times, 1 personal, 1 corporate. I should set them up to accept some DRK/BTC. thanks for the suggestion. |

He found a critical bitcoin bug some days back, maybe this is more than FUD The timing is very suspect. The same day DRK gets recognition from The Guardian, this claim surfaces. I bet he is trying to create an opportunity to buy in. Why does the timing matter? What matters is whether or not it is true. Evil-Knievel seems to be a responsible dude, after his discussion with Evan he agreed his initial claims were not correct. It seems that his original claim came from not fully understanding how the system worked. After his conversation with Evan he believes he may be able to approach it from a different angle, so Evan invited him to try and report back. Discussions like this are what is needed, anyway, Masternode Blinding is already on testnet and there are substantial changes to the system specially as the inputs are now random. So the conversation seems to be moot, I hope Evil-Knievel sticks for a while and tests the next version. This I agree in. Problem is in the past Evil-Knievel behaved in troll and FUD behaviour on here...back several months ago. I to hope that the discussion is about hardening what we have... And closing any potential issues if they arise. |

Guys,I suggest you to just move your coins to BFX and show your support to them.
The volume here was a joke for months and I don't know how they didn't remove us ..
With huge volumes on Craptsy we will not impress any of the major markets like BTC-e, OKCoin etc. or some significant merchant..
Playing well on exchange like BFX, will attract more serious investors and other major exchanges ..
I would tend to agree. If you look at the coin trading offered in BTC-e its all "old" timers. I presume that with the flood of shit coins that came out in the last year...it was a safe move to stay the course. Its a very shallow offering of coins there...but its, for lack of a better term, safe. I'm certain that in the next several months they would list Darkcoin but for now I'm sure they will bide their time and see where things go. like "whocares" says...we should be supporting BFX as solid home for our trades for now....and hold the course. Edit: If you look on BTC-e...they are trimming even more, TRC, FTC and XPM are being shut down. So they are consolidating things there.... |

I've been meaning to ask for a long time what the hell has been the problem with BTC-e? Is this a personal thing with those guys or what? Crazy... We've been in the top 10 market cap and volume coins for almost a year now.... Any ideas because it doesn't make since.... Or am I missing something... Like feather coin really?!?
