I'm the person setting the walls and trying to sell. I need 100btc fast its a life or death situation. Im sorry but the faster you's buy my darkcoins the quicker it will go back up. Nothing against darkcoin. Thank you to those who buy.
I dont have how you managed to have this much dark. But if you need fast money, you need to split it up to smaller chunks. you are scaring the investors, but if you part it like 3-4btc chunks, will go faster I dont believe it for a second. I really don't get it why is drk crashing so hard??  rc4 seems a success, yes it is till closed source but it seems to work. People went crazy when rc3 was released and now we have a real working anon solution what cant even be compared to rc3 and instead of gaining some value its falling more and more. I really dont get it .. bitshares still doing good did I invest in the wrong anoncoin..? I must say I am/was really convinced about drk so I took a large amount of my btc in the last weeks to buy drk but I'm questioning myself now if it was a big mistake. And still when I think about it, it should be gaining value, all of the improvements that have been made lately and all the things you can do with these masternodes. Its a brand new concept that seems to work with probably endless possibilities and yet price is only falling ?? Can someone enlighten me ? I really don't get it. Or is everybody in the dark on this one ....? Thanks Because everyone was expecting a huge price bump for RC4. Except market-wise when RC4 was released BTC started to move downwards. Alts get slaughtered when BTC starts moving down. DRK held up surprisingly well, until after the RC4 release when people realized the price wasn't going to immediately pump. The reason for this was that money was exiting the crypto market in general, so obviously it would be hard to increase DRK's price as BTC is falling because BTC is the gateway into crypto. The reason RC3 pushed the market so well is because the market was primed for it, and was waiting for news on which to move. By market, I generally mean market makers, IE what some people may commonly refer to as whales. There was a feeling of general optimism as the BTC price was stable/increasing. Another thing. When you have lengthy periods of stability in BTC, which have been rare in its history, people look for profits elsewhere; IE, altcoin markets. Traders are like crackheads who constantly need a fix. If BTC stabilizes you'll see them complaining all over the place about the stability. They want volatility so they can make money. So, to recap... BTC price falls... People flee alts to btc to fiat... thereby alt prices suffer greatly. Even if they are totally legitimate coins with bright futures, they are not immune when BTC goes down. Will alts forever be tied to btc? Who knows, but it's the way it is right now. Thanks almost missed your post, thank you for your explanation. But still drk has lost much more then for example btsx. Thats what I dont understand we have fallen more then any other big alt while we have this amazing news that rc4 is live and kicking... It depends on what timeframe you are using. Remember DRK was at 0.0011 in April... now it's at 0.0051. ahhh and thats true... i bought this at $0.21....so going to $2.60...is really REALLY GOOD RETURN. So Im happy happy... but ill be much happier at $15 |

Could it be a big exchange dumping part of its holdings to get some BTCs?
The good thing is he will eventually run out of coin to dump. im hoping to get back in at $2. not sure... ive heard there were a fewnbig peep with large wallets dumping huge amounts... to buy back in, doing this game ine can double or triple their monwybfairly quickly. its an interesting strategy ive seen done before... and it can work well. they are ballsy because they are counting on demand for the coin after their dump. . The dumper is probably selling to himself, but like you said, he's counting on the price to recover. No one else is going to buy back until this stops. and this is why one shouldn't do daily hourly trade watching. thats what feeds these guys. |

Dark has been easy pickens for this kind of manipulation because it has lots of liquidity. there are of course other things at play everything from panic when rc4 wasnt picture perfect to is some small part less then i ideal official communication plus look around us... hell ltc is at $4.60 and btc under $500. i let our senior more members add to this. |

this won't help.. trolls are trolling, the problem is uncertainty about rc4. people are afraid that there are bugs, things have to get sort out wether there are some or not. evan should take some time on that i think, i know he likes coding more but it lacks a bit of his response to the "issues" posting screenshots of working rounds is useless imo, especially on test net. we are on mainnet already, the average user doesn't care about test net. the average user doesnt have 10.000's or more of Darkcoins... what seems to be the problem is with the bigger wallet holders... please correct me if im wrong, member with average wallets havent reported isssues that i know of. |

We have progress...... All the coins went back to TOTAL BALANCE....... But as we learned from my previous test (before I was rudely told to do this in ONE LUMP - lol j/k) DRK will denominate this huge batch - one 900DRK lump at a time. So if that's what you think needs doing, why not get off your arse and do it instead of moaning that nobody is doing it for you? Because the market is avoiding Drk like Ebola due to it being closed source. Ozziecoin.... that is your opinion... joe public doesnt know the difference between closed source, pre-mined, ninja mined, ipo... what ever, try explaining that to my parents and friends and their like, huh? Joe public cares about utility. Darkcoin will be opened sourced, but that isnt the magic pill you think it is. We voted back in February to keep the source closed till it was fully ready and ready for a full release, not in beta or release candidates. We still stand by that.... so for example if for you its a deal breaker and others... so be it and possibly when its development is completed you may want to join in if it has utility for you. So be it. I did my bit to bring this matter up. Ozziecoin....keep sharing your view. It is perfectly ok to challenge and express what you think. I believe you know that the project is going to be open source. Evan has stated that about 2,000 pages or more back, and more recently too. I think the timing of the open source is important. I'm not sure we are there yet. While we wait for the open source timing, Kristov Atlas will give his view. He has access to the source code. Many will accept that as middle ground. He will say if there is malware or spyware that will make darkcoins traceable or open to tracing. That is what people care about - and who else would they get to do a similar review who is not as equally qualified? +1 I agree... ive always believed in critical thinking and asking hard questions. And we have a right to our own convictions. |

While I agree a BTC mixing service would bring tons of volume and market acceptance to darkcoin, I don't understand how you would get anonymous bitcoin out the other side. Exchanges do not provide sufficient anonymity when exchanging DRK for BTC. How would that work? And what's the point anyway? As soon as you spend those BTC they're traceable straight back to you unless you jump through a lot of hoops. Why not just use DRK, that's what it's for. Totally agreed but i can't do that now. Is there any way to bootstrap merchant acceptance? well you can buy fine wines at our winery, dry ciders, and soon cognacs as well and have fine dining at our restaurant... and you can take mistress here and use darkcoin and the wife will never know...  |
