The first person ever I put on ignore. I could put up with the worst trolls but that one wow ...
He tried to mix in an update period with MNs locking up and now whining about slowness  He's like a hyperactive customer Ok, so Darksend is not available à 100% for the moment, because updates. How many updates in total ? Each time, all masternodes must be install the new update. So the network is never available at 100% full time Yesssss, 4 hours 20 minutes for 15.5 Dash into my darksend balance. Perhaps 5 hours for 20 dash, so for 100 dash, I will need of 1 day. Masternode count 1715 I think its a fair enough concern, not speaking to Sangoku, but as there become more and more adoptors of DASH and issues arise, I think its important to understand there will be instances where bugs might arise. We will need to be able to guide people on how to deal with said issue. Of course right now during beta development...this is more crucial. I believe when there are valid concerns, we need to help where we can. And explain technical issues....in this case...if I had not come on here and taken the time to read through a few dozen posts to learn there is a small bug....I would of had no clue why my MN's are acting up and possibly why Darksend wasn't performing at top level. This brings an important point....we should have a support link on Dashpay.io where people can go to find help and track any current network problems. I don't think using BCT as our support link is all that professional...IMHO. |

There seems to have some minor bugs with .16. I've just done the update to .17 for my all my masternodes as well as my wallets. I will be posting in the next hour how long it takes to Darksend 50Dash. Stay tuned. Honestly, I wouldn't even try to do any meaningful metric on how long it takes until the majority of the masternodes are updated and right now, only 32% are on v17 Fair enough....and this is why we call it "in Beta" still ... I do have one question as we wait to all us MN operators to update to .17. I have a wallet with 10 MN's on it...and I also have a Testing wallet on it as well. I do not want to Darksend mix any of the MN dash, how do I make it darksend the coins from the "Testing" wallet? Thanks. |

By the way: to me "doing the job" is not convincing anyone that one of the two coins are better than the other, but a fair discussion of advantages or disadvantages, as impartial as possible. I'd rather not bump the moanero circle jerk with the op being a morono supporter too. The just repeat themselves and shill across multiple threads. Plague of this forum I tell ya! *shakes his stick* The two could quite happily live in harmony - it's them faking this war and I personally believe it's better to not rise to it. They can keep their neckbearded ringwormed slug and I'llir take instant transactions, privacy and bitcoin infrastructure integration. I agree, we are right now starting a real discussion over at dashtalk about more important things in regards to adoption. It would be beneath us to even acknowledge their silliness of a coin. We have some real world challenges that we need to work on in Dash and the crypto world in general. So let's forget about those buffoons and get on with it. |

couple of things are certainly at play. If you look at the charts, most of the top coins IE btc, LTC , DASH and Bitshares are on a very similar path, so one could certainly say its the usual crypto cycle...the rest would be holders that have decided to go and ride the wave on some for the popular pnd coins to make some more bucks....and there would also be profit takers ....that bought at $2.50 to $3.00 and saw a good raise and are taking some profits. Personally I see this leveling off at just over $3 before starting to climb again. the availability of DASH is super thin....there are alot of masternode operators as well. thats my Honest opinion. So with all this above information, tight supply availability and the continual methodical coin development....this should be around $15+ by summer. if there is to come up a large retailer or business promoting Dash...well...then things could change, fast! |

It's just amazing to be part of this community. During all the FUD and trolling even with the other devs engaging in funding, showing their lack of class, our developers kept quietly working away. Constant testing, revisions... Also with a professional demeanour. What a class act. Since I joined this team back in January 2014...i have never seen any new coin survive...it has solidified what many of us and those new comers that this is a project back by a group of professional developers that are proud to put their real names behind what they are doing. We should feel proud of being part of one of the best communities in this space. That we don't resort to FUD or trolling others.... Because we are quitely confident in our future. Cheers everyone... Now on to my next connector flight.

Jesus guys, I have been trying to benchmark some Monero times so I could update the Tao ratio in my signature for over a week.
I have been using the MoneroGui.Net-v0.41.1-x64 client, I waited 20 minutes today for it to find 1 single node and still nothing!
This has got to be the most icky and tedious client I have ever used and tested.
I did squeeze some results from the start of Monero blockchain download yesterday and they were.
seconds in real time= 4205 seconds =(1 hour 10 minutes 5 seconds)
Hours behind to update in wallet = 624 hours = (26 days)
Monero Tao ratio = 4205 / 624 = 6.739 seconds / hour behind
Consider this is at the start of the Monero blockchain and should be quick, later on will get worse with added bloat.
So the update speed difference = ( Monero tao ratio ) / ( Dash tao ratio )= 6.739 / 0.5434= 12.40
Conclusions so far :- Monero is 12.4 times slower at the start of its blockchain update than Dash's blockchain update at it's end.
Reservations :- Dash takes 42 minutes to download and synch the entire blockchain, Monero takes over 1 hour to merely update the first 26 days, there are over 303 more days to go !!
Lol! Wow... Just wow. Go figure. Any Dash bets on the final speed difference at the end of the blockchain? hehe Oh man... I don't want to lose any Dash. Lol |
