ha... I didn't enter the website but what is inside?
Some comic strips, quite well painted, I didn't read the text tho, was way too much.
Then a bunch of "donate pls" banners at the bottom, not very surprising.
2465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why am I still considered a newbie? on: February 19, 2014, 02:29:22 PM
You will be able to post outside this board, however you will
be considered a "newbie" until you've reached 30+ activity,
which will take 4 weeks (2x2 week periods, correct me if I'm wrong) of posting at least once per week.
The more activity you get, the fewer seconds you'll have to wait in-between posts, etc etc.
However, you should now be able to post wherever you want!

Meanwhile, did you hear that Google Checkout started accepting bitcoins?: https://google.com/checkout_bitcoin
Is this true?
Atleast the link is broken, I'm skeptical.
Found nothing when I -googled- it either.
2467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does FreeBitcoinz pay out? on: February 19, 2014, 01:09:11 AM
Last time I checked, the captcha wasnt working to update the balance.

I have no idea whats going on now, and this was like several months back.

And seeing from the quote above on the site being suspended, should give you a clue that its pretty much dead.

That is not even close to the truth since the has only been operating since December so where does this "several months back" come from?

And the site wasn't suspended, our Google Adsense account was. So it has been replaced with an alternative while we appeal to get our money back.

I am currently in a very busy period at my school, will resolve the issues with freebitcoinz as soon as I can.

Things I need to do.
1) Replace Google Adsense (started by adding adbit.co)
2) Look into why our Adsense was banned and appeal to try getting the money back
3) Purge the bots/ref cheaters from the database -- we have a lot of them and that's why payments are on hold
4) Pay you guys, our legitimate users.
Good response, reassuring etc.
Best of luck getting everything sorted. People tend to get impatient when it comes to money  Wink
2468  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does a site become "Provably Fair" approved? on: February 19, 2014, 01:07:20 AM
Anyone can call their game "provably fair".
You can't take for granted that the site IS actually fair and the games aren't
rigged based only on that. Therefore I personally would only ever use a well
established gambling site with tons of payment proof, that lists their bigger
winners with links to the transactions etc. Tons of scammers out there,
literally millions of them, be aware.

yeah but just cause they send money to people, also dont mean there legit as well.  They might take from people who are not well known in the community, am i right?
Of course that's a possibility, whereas I mentioned "well established" sites. This basically means the biggest gambling sites,
that advertise via forum signatures, pay their workers etc, like bit777 / primedice just to mention 2. You can almost be a 100%
sure those sites wouldn't wanna risk their reputation just to scam 1 person while their business is already running fine.
As long as they have customers, a good reputation and lots of visitors they always make profit, way more profit than they would
from scamming people. However, a newly made site that offers gambling etc with a low amount of visitors will benefit most from
scamming you, therefore the risk of being scammed is increased severely.

Tl;dr use established gambling sites that have no use of scamming you whatsoever.
If there's money to make, people will do it.

Poor guy. I'd feel more threatened though if he had bothered to
proof-read his own statement and spell Seoul properly.
Ah well, it's his own loss if he's gonna act like a *****.
2471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Find places to earn and win FREE Bitcoin - Feedback welcome! on: February 18, 2014, 03:15:56 PM
thank you for your feedback apsvinet - I know there are lots of similar out there mega competition - Lots are simply lists though so no info regarding payouts etc. Also my reviews are not all positive to gain referrals - (tho referal links are used when possible) If the site is badly designed (IMO) - that will be the review, if the earning / winning potential is v v small then that will also be there. Honest reviews. I also hope to expand by putting lots more useful Bitcoin related content and links in the near future.

Hoping that in time, people come to trust my reviews and find the site useful Smiley

P.s - Thanks for the +1 - my first experience of this as I am new to these forums - what does it mean exactly?
+1 Is just an expression as far as I'm aware, it just means I give you an imaginary point for something that I liked, it's not an actual point like some forums where you can give reputation just for good posts / ideas / contributing.
Imagine it as a thumbs up, it doesn't give you anything, it's just a sign of appreciation.
Peace :>
2472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Creative and "cool" ways to store coins? on: February 18, 2014, 02:16:43 PM
You could always store your coins in my wallet..
I guess that'd count as somewhat creative.
2473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: February 18, 2014, 02:05:06 PM
I use MultiBit, love it  Smiley
Mulibit is just the best isn't it?
The simplicity makes me smile each time I open it.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm personally very disappointed with this thread.
Here I was, browsing through countless of posts in the off-topic section of this forum,
when suddenly my eyes catch a glimpse of a title that makes my jaws drop to the floor.
My body starts trembling, sweat pours out of my face, heartbeat is racing, and due to
the massive shaking of my hands I'm barely able to open the thread. 10 seconds of heavy
breathing later, I manage to open the thread, and what do I see?

The best thread I've ever read.
+10 to OP. I'm amazed.
2475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [FAKE] Amazon to start accepting bitcoin on: February 18, 2014, 01:56:24 PM
1. Get a customer support mail about anything from amazon.
2. Use web designer tools in your browser to change the content of the mail.
3. Write whatever you bloody want.
4. Screenshot it, upload to bitcointalk.
5. Make people believe it.
6. Huh
7. Profit.
2476  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much would you pay for this book? on: February 18, 2014, 01:35:09 PM
I would probably pay 0.000001 btc just to make you
feel less bad about the fact that your file is gone :c

2478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin is for you ? on: February 18, 2014, 01:57:38 AM
At the moment I'm just using it go gain some money.
I like how it works though and I can really see a future
with it, hopefully the interest will keep rising and one day
it might just be the next monetary system!
2479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investors Pump $600,000 into Swedish Bitcoin Exchange Safell on: February 18, 2014, 01:17:24 AM
FOr all the talk that BTC is dead or dying, then you see there are plenty of entities investing in BTC still.  I think it's still going strong.
Most people claiming it's dead are either newbs/trolls
who don't know what they're talking about.
Bitcoin will be fine, the interest is rising, not decreasing.

Glad to hear these news, keep em coming.
2480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Activity on: February 18, 2014, 01:08:35 AM

If you're a good boy and keep posting it will update
within 1-2 weeks and you'll be out of newbie hell! Smiley
Best of luck!
