What is Bitcoin?

Why do you want to know some about bitcoin?

Is there not money to be made?
Wouldn't the world be better without the urge to earn money?
1822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: March 22, 2014, 05:43:38 PM
Don't use blockchain.info wallet IMO

Yesterday I found someone is in possession of my private key from my address that I have @ blockchain.info
And he is a blockchain.info wallet user too... as last transaction make by someone using my address were done by blockchain.info nod - rest of them from nod IP 0.0.0.0 ...

and blockchain.info write me back :
"I am sorry to hear of these transactions that you did not initiate. I would also highly advise against ever using this compromised wallet again, as someone else clearly has the private keys in it. Changing your password & adding 2FA won't matter if the user has control of the private keys for that address. You need to never use that address or other addresses in that wallet again, set up a new wallet with new passwords & addresses, and enable Google Authenticator with that."

So they do not feel the problem - just I need to never use my address again ... not nice and not good.
And how come it is even possible that someone have got my private keys?
Crazy.

And is funny - I had only one address @ blockchain.info

Another address with same private key that someone else have was added to my wallet without me. I didn't knew till yesterday that I have another address there and my android blockchain wallet was showing only ballance from 1 address. CRAZY

Does the address have both other receipts and other spends that aren't yours?

If so, then it sounds like Blockchain isn't randomizing their keys well enough, and generated the same key for someone else. The possibility here should give pause to anyone using Blockchain wallets.

My recommendation: get another wallet, Mycelium if you want to be mobile, Electrum or Multibit if you don't want to deal with the entire block chain. Move all your coins to it (leaving this other person their coins,) then once that confirms, destroy your Blockchain wallet and never look back.

Also: if you suspect your computer is compromised, use a different computer/device for your new wallet.

Last part is very important. Make sure to check your computer regularly
for viruses and whatnot, use common sense when downloading / browsing etc.

is the ritz casino paying out to its members?

They paid everyone on March 1 and next payday is April 1 so you don't take a huge risk by promoting them now, do you?

PrimeDice don't allow Jr Members so right now you are not getting anything from your posts but neither does RitzGrandCasino

You will be a Member in 9days though
Seems like Ritz is the highest paying at the moment, altho they're not as well established.
I think 0.0001 for members is quite a silly payout, but it's just my opinion.

0.0001/post is still pretty nice, especially when you don't have the risk of not getting paid

It is definitely a bit low, especially with the price of BTC going down, 557$ on bitstamp atm

Stunna may not need hundreds of persons enrolling in this sig campaign he is already getting a lot of attention and a lot of traffic
Yeah well, Stunna's reputation and the established name of Primedice is the only thing keeping people here, but if you compare the rates to other programs that are on their way up to also become well known on this forum it's no longer competitive.
1824  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best bitcoin casino? on: March 22, 2014, 05:40:42 PM
I've never tried Ritz grand casino, but at least they're paying out their advertisers and so,
it seems like they've built up a nice name. Check their site etc for proof of payment.

Best of luck!

I didn't check them yet but they seem to be motivated to get a place under the sun

PrimeDice 3 will probably be very cool, more infos here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=208986.4000

https://everydice.com/?r=744 is very cool bc you can refer players and get 0.1% of what they play and you can invest in the casino : 1% of the casino winnings for 0.67 atm
Saw some serious issues with everydice in a thread, it's somewhere around here.

I don't know what you are talking about, can you find the thread?

The website is new and improving, I see new players coming to play real money everyday; already 445BTC bet on the website

Did you try RitzGC? I didn't try it yet

Nah as I said I haven't tried their actual casino, you'll have to go to the website and be the judge yourself, but they're establishing their name more and more like Primedice already has, and so far haven't had any complaints that I've seen.
1825  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Freebitco.in on: March 22, 2014, 05:39:23 PM
It's a good site guys, I still use it regularly. Get some referrals in there and you got yourself a small weekly income as well.
Plus they list the actual big winners so you can look for yourself that it's paying out!

Peace.

It is a very straight forward website that allow us to get our hands on some nice BTC dust, especially since the higher payouts

Getting refs is the way to go to get out some "real money" out of the website, freebitco also allows you to gamble which a lot of players like

The big winners are showed and that is how I know that you have way less than 1:10,000 to win the biggest prize of 0.35 but it is totally fine
I think a low chance of winning 0.35 while always being guaranteed a
win of a lower amount is better than one that only lets you win a lower amount! Cheesy
1826  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Disallow Ads in Signatures on: March 22, 2014, 05:36:48 PM
I think it's nice that there's one established way to earn
bitcoins left online that's profitable for both the user and
the owner.
PTC sites and whatnot are only profitable for the owner
of the site.
If we remove this we'll be seeing a lot of new spam posts coming in when people try to make money in other ways, scams, ponzis, etc.
I didn't like the signature re-construction at first but after using it a while I'm pretty satisfied with it. There's less spam from newbies.
1827  Economy / Services / Re: Auction for 3 ad spots on freebitcoinwin.com for 1 week on: March 22, 2014, 05:33:37 PM
Well I know a lot of ppl haven't been paid from this site.  Stick to someone reliable  http://freebitco.in/?r=232764 this is the original and I had many payments from them!
Mate why do you bother posting your referral link here? Chances are it'll get deleted by moderators anyway.
1828  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD ★★★ on: March 22, 2014, 05:32:34 PM
The prices of BTC aren't higher than last month, on the
contrary to be honest, they're a bit lower.
I think the rates seem fine.

I actually spoke to the owner of the site about this, linked the thread together with the picture and all. Yet to get a reply.

i also send him email but the email bounce back at me Grin
Hah, well, we don't have to use his site, at least I know I won't. So really it's not a problem imo, just hope people get a look at this thread before investing too much time into that site.

well a less than 2 minutes wouldnt hurt lets see if he will pay me and the others tomorrow if not then its time to put some red mark on his account as i can see now he dont even have a guts to answer any question to this thread OP is now missing or mayb he is with the missing malaysian plane thats why his site is not paying Cheesy
You could just place negative trust on him and remove it if you get paid.

uhh that is not fair i want to see it first before putting some negative trust on him
Why wouldn't it be fair if he's a known scammer? You can always remove the negative trust, also as you've no trust yourself it won't show up as red to anyone else except you.

1833  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Fucking Ponzi's and the idiots that buy into them + List of Shills on: March 22, 2014, 02:34:24 PM
Because just like your advertising service, it is a scam.
Just because some people get paid early on doesn't mean that the ponzi is "legitimate".
It just means that it's building up trust until a few people pay enough, then they'll get "hacked", and
they will "try to refund" but nobody is ever getting their shit back.

A scammer promoting scams. What a surprise.
No one claims that a Ponzi is Legitimate a fool only will do that, but everyone playing in Ponzi's must understand that they are just hit and run schemes, and early birds always catches the worms Tongue

Not all are hit and run schemes... With the ponzis type games that use a round system like most of the ones here it allows to create a new slate each time so there is no more reason for one of these games to disappear than a unregulated bitcoin casino or dice site... unless btcriverboat keeps reporting all these games.. well there is your reason for why they disappear Smiley

of course if you are using a site like btc-arbs or leancy etc.. where they fabricate some story to make you seem like you are investing and it is NOT split into rounds nor transparent... those will obviously collapse at some point.
Name one ponzi that's been running for more than a year.
1834  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much would you pay for this book? on: March 22, 2014, 02:17:27 PM
I'd love if someone who claims they'd pay this or that would state a reason for why they think it's worth that.
1835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago..." on: March 22, 2014, 02:12:37 PM
Activity (at least on my account) equals posts.  So you could spend all day reading threads and learning, but have a lower activity rating than someone who posts a bunch of 'me too' posts that add nothing to the conversation.
It only equals posts up to 14.
And if you don't post anyways - why care about the restrictions? They're only for posting - not reading.

Good job paying! Being honest builds trust!

Best of luck in the future!

High school golf coach, 36, admits to having sex with 17-year-old student after the two are caught NAKED in the back of his pickup truck
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2572552/High-school-golf-coach-36-admits-having-sex-17-year-old-student-two-caught-NAKED-pickup-truck.html

'When asked what they were doing, Guilfoy told the officer they were having sex,' IMPD Lieutenant Christopher Bailey said in a statement. 'Guilfoy also told officers he was a teacher at Greenwood High School and that the female inside the truck was one of his students.'

Duh...

Well, at least he was honest. Cheesy

I noticed that too.
His honesty will not help him much (this time), but he did tell the truth.
He probably didn't need to be so quick about telling them he was a teacher, but he was busted either way.

Well he could've said that they were playing a card game with invisible cards and invisible clothes
I'm not sure honesty is even a factor in helpfulness for this situation
I don't see why admitting your crime would be better. It helps the investigation and so but why would it excuse whatever you did?
1840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago..." on: March 22, 2014, 01:25:49 PM
Now I feel myself a lit bit stupid as I need more than 360sec to read al thread and than to make my own comment  Sad
You're still 5 activity, which means you're clearly not ready to invest any time into your
forum accout - which means you're not gonna get the privileges of the other members. It's a fair system.
