2041  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan needed of .1 btc on: March 08, 2014, 06:17:43 PM
This is why you don't loan to people on the internet. Especially those with red trust, lol.
2042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie want help on: March 08, 2014, 06:15:53 PM
Why would anyone lend an anonymous person on the internet the equivalent of almost $500?  That's just a silly idea
Hopefully nobody is stupid enough to do so. All these people asking for loans are in 99% of cases scammers anyways.
Go earn those 500 bucks, or loan them from someone you know.
2043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down, down, down, down, down on: March 08, 2014, 06:14:15 PM
Speculation is quite pointless at this point. It's far from 40 dollars, but far from 1000 as well.
Whatever, for all we know it'll crash or rise again.

the thing is we have intelligence to substantiate why it will fall to $40 but very little to support a rise to $1000

I elaborate earlier on in the thread
Yet you don't know before it happens, now do you? Smiley

It is not that far from $1000 as it is from $40. And I don't mean just figures... Cool

Good point)) in addition I can say that after all Bitcoin will never fall down to 60$ except the governments will help bitcoin to fall down
Of course. I'm quite sure it'll rise rather than fall, although it seems to be quite unstable at the moment, and the price has varied with a 90-100 dollar difference the last couple days. Hopefully we'll see a steady rise towards the 900 again pretty soon.
2045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good name for a coin? on: March 08, 2014, 05:33:28 PM
Try to keep this thread clean guys. No need for obscenities.
2046  Other / Off-topic / Re: stop! log off bitcointalk, and go do something productive! nm on: March 08, 2014, 05:27:54 PM
Why not rather than logging of bitcointalk to be productive, we actually do something productive on Bitcointalk! Smiley
2047  Economy / Services / Re: I will pay 0.15 to first person who dox Leah McGrath Goodman on: March 08, 2014, 05:18:29 PM
This post surely escalated quickly. Stop being distasteful keyboard heroes threatening to kill people.

2049  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 08, 2014, 05:14:25 PM
You're Satoshi? Do you accept donations?
I believe in helping the ones who have the
means to help themselves. PM me.
Send donations to the bitcoin foundation.
Wow. Can mods start deleting these accounts?
This is getting out of hand.
2050  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi looks so Cute on: March 08, 2014, 05:13:44 PM
is it real one?
wow they've found satoshi nakamoto  Shocked
They found a Satoshi Nakamoto, but most likely the wrong one Wink

I've just been thinking but its like we found Osama Bin Laden all over again
It's not the real one

Interestingly enough, Osama Bin Laden is still alive. SEAL commandos did not kill him, but captured alive.
….
Sources..?
You can't just type out something like this as a conspiracy theory when the general
belief is that he's dead. Provide us with some convincing proof.

Provide us with some convincing proof that Laden is dead. Who did the postmortem ? Where is the killing video ? NOTHING except for some fake pic Smiley
Wow, what a reasoning of a 10 year old brainwashed christian child. "Provide us with sources that God exists, any evidence whatsoever." "Prove that he doesn't, nyah nyah nyah."
Another complete ****** added to my ignore list, this is sickening.
2051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were satoshi... what would your "return from the void" post be? on: March 08, 2014, 04:57:08 PM
After the Mt. Gox fiasco and various other problems in the Bitcoin world I would expect Satoshi to return and say, "Why did I ever create this!?"  He knows How God felt when looked down at his creation and lamented what men were doing on the earth.

Psch, if god created the humans, why would he have created them able to do something he does not approve of? And why wouldn't he have the power to destroy his creation?
Your logic is flawed, and you should feel bad.

Free will is a gift God gave us.  I "should feel bad?" I feel bad for those who don't know God. And yes, God does have the power to destroy us (world wide flood and the soon to come Armageddon)  But out of grace has not yet. Sorry to start a theological discussion on this thread though. We should move this to "politics and society."  Or you just might want to ignore me.  I am considered a religious zealot by many on here.  A conservative, pro-life, young earth creationist at that!  Plus I am female!?  I am surprised I have not been banned forever!  Cheesy
Not gonna have a discussion with a pro-life creationist.
“Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

Not claiming every religious nutjob is stupid, but from experience most are. Have a good day.
2052  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you are new to Bitcoin on: March 08, 2014, 04:43:50 PM
Heard it from a friend who was currently quite into the concept, and I suppose he tried to give me a good impression of it, although I was very skeptical and even went as far as to mock him for spending time on it. Today, lets say, I realize I was a fool, and should've invested all my money into this.

Damn.
2053  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: FIRST EVER (no profit) PONZI 150% PAYOUT ! on: March 08, 2014, 04:36:30 PM
Ah well, if this is true I guess you're just a one in a billion person,
who doesn't want to make money the easiest way there is. Props
to you. Still, a ponzi is a ponzi, but you wrote that yourself in OP. Smiley

Maybe easiest but u need to scam people.
Hah, yeah that's the downside I guess. Altho most people don't have any moral issues scamming people over the internet, with everyone being anonymous etc. Before you break it down you're just scamming a few pixels on the internet, rather than an actual human being.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to call 0.001 BTC? (5 BTC Bounty) on: March 08, 2014, 04:35:05 PM
I suppose.
But still, had we had those words chosen by members of an online forum from the start of bitcoins, we wouldn't have had anything to say against it today to be honest, our brains would've adapted to that just like we do to the decimals. But changing it now? No thanks.

To be honest, I think if Bitcoin had used arbitrary words I probably would have walked away without digging deeper - "the rest of the (finance) world copes just fine with thousands and 0.001, why should I have to learn some hacker jargon in order to use Bitcoin?" (Obviously some learning is necessary, but we should aim to reduce it to what's necessary, not what's cute or what we think is easy to understand).

"Hacker" jargon....really?...you sound like a fool.  Hacking has nothing to do with bitcoin, or a name for 0.001 BTC

A hacker is someone - in IT - who "hacks" (creates and modifies) code (as opposed to a "cracker", who breaks into IT systems). Regardless, this is about perceptions - not necessarily our perceptions, but the perceptions of people not yet using Bitcoin. Jargon is off-putting. Foolish, even.
This this and this again. Quoting to show that I agree, lol.
You won't get people interested if you're gonna use silly made up words to describe fractions of your currency.
2055  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 on: March 08, 2014, 04:33:04 PM
Wow, that looks absolutely amazing. Definitely something I'd put directly
on my to-buy list if I ever happen to stumble upon a fortune. Hope the buyer
takes good care of it.
2056  Other / Archival / Re: FREE microwallet faucet bitcoin Hi2w.com HiToWorld Earn upto 1000 satoshi HOURLY on: March 08, 2014, 04:31:15 PM
i just recieve the most horrible satoshi ever 7? LOL i guess OP bring this site here to get the 10k satoshi reward

Don't use it! I would hate to see this guy earn money off tricking people they can get any decent amounts whatsoever.

+1
i guess also the site owner is trying to scam people by directing them into adfly before they can even enter their wallet
That was what I reacted to the most too, it's ridiculous to get thrown into some ad website as soon as you disable adblock. I could accept just the banners on the site, that's how most faucets look, but that's just disgusting.
2057  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to help stop spamming. on: March 08, 2014, 04:30:02 PM
I like your original idea, and I also like the idea of having it only work for Hero members, ( perhaps sr members )?
If it was available to everyone it would -surely- get abused. I want to see the old signatures back, or perhaps another rework.
This solution should solve spamming, at least a lot better than just lowering whatever payment the newbies get for shitposting.
2058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am not Dorian Nakamoto. on: March 08, 2014, 04:28:01 PM
Ahwell, atleast there is a site that notifies you when he comes online, issatoshionline.com
the fuck is this now? Seriously? Damn!
I'm not sure. This is pointless, it's just referring to his last activity on the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

Well, last activity on his profile is "Last Active:    December 13, 2010, 04:45:41 PM"
then he never accessed his/her account again.. No point of site at all
Maybe someone just had a bit too much free time and decided to create a website.
That's happened to me before, at least. :>
2059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bet that this it NOT Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 08, 2014, 04:27:16 PM
Actually its this guy.

Hah, that's just Toshi, not Satoshi, as far as I'm concerned. That said, I made the exact same connection the first time I heard the name Satoshi.
2060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bet that this it NOT Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 08, 2014, 04:26:23 PM
Can we please stop these posts now? Use the ones that are already
on the forum and share your opinion that way, this is getting quite
tiresome.
