That idiot at 7700 just set the ceiling. What a noob.

Once someone reads and understands my previous post, the coins will be bought very quickly and the ceiling will disappear.

I again call the price at least $1 in the near future. The nice thing is once the price is higher, one could make good money just from the staking interest without touching your main stash. This is part of the calculation of present value, similar to using a normal share's dividend in calculating the value of the share. 12% interest on a coin is a lot of value. It makes the investment much more valuable than other PoS coins with 1% interest.

It is common sense.

I an upset because of the scam launch. I wasted the 1st 7 hours on a forked chain or some other issue. The blocks I found were all wasted when I realised that there is a new wallet and I have to re-download the block chain. So many people called for re-launch but the dev refused.

Good luck if this is the way "management" will be running things for this coin as an indication of tone at the top.

Why are only 3.8million coins in the richlist and not all available coins?
Where are the remaining 3million coins?

There are no remaining 3 million coins. PoS blocks discovered during PoW did not yield the full 512 ZS reward. 6 million plus coins would've been the outcome if no one staked during PoW.

So the 6.4million POW coins are stated wrong in the OP?

That was the plan. 125xx blocks of 512 each. The final number was less because miners utilising PoS as well. It just made the coin rarer.

ZS is $1-$2 minimum. Current prices are waaaay under where it should be. Rocket should be launching soon.

$1?! That's VERY optimistic! Haha.

I'm sure many here would be quite content if ZS reached $0.10 (around 22k sat)!

You dont think that $3.8-$5m market cap for a coin is realistic?
3706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Futurecoin|Groestl-Skein-SHA256|Crypto Vesting|Launch Thread|REQUIRED CLIENT UPDATE! on: May 03, 2014, 11:35:57 AM
It is impossible to mine coins with SHA. I can make 10x with BTC than mining futurecoin with the same hash. What a ripoff.

The IPO was 5m kFC but to mine you get a couple thousand a day which does not make sense.
3707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Futurecoin|Groestl-Skein-SHA256|Crypto Vesting|Launch Thread|REQUIRED CLIENT UPDATE! on: May 03, 2014, 10:07:18 AM
There are probably tons of miners of the non-SHA algos. SHA difficulty seems to be taking a penalty because of the other algos. It is unheard of to have a SHA diff in excess of 2m at the current hash rate. You can probably have one SHA miner and the diff will be >1m.

There needs to be more distribution, there's less than 550 addresses with actual ZS in them. How about a faucet or some giveaways?

Has there been a concentrated effort on getting ZS on some bigger exchanges, like mintpal, poloniex, bter, or cryptsy?

Did someone say steak? mmmm

ZS was well distributed through PoW and early trading. Now it follows the usual trend of being weighted towards the top handful of wallets as more serious individuals gather stock.

If a multipool is launched and interest in ZS continues to grow, those top wallets will continue to swell.

Do you see this as good or bad?

I think guys in the top 10 will smile with this one.

Looking at other coins on allmarketcap with similar number of coins, Zimstake must have a value of at least $1-$2 to start with. Add pure PoS, 60s block time, quick tranaction confirmations, 12% interest and it could be much more.

It's pretty obvious what happened here. Mogonzo was hired by a crappy dev to promote his coin, but then he found out that the code is full of problems. Now he's trying to do damage control, while the dev has disappeared. I've had experiences with devs who try to bite off more than they can chew, and then other people in the company such as PR guys have to clean up the mess with the public. It's an awful position that Mogonzo is in, and it seems he's at least trying to save the coin from failure.

other than pos not working correctly everything is fine, we need a wallet update not a hostile fork from a scammer

By the time people realise that, mogonzo will be gone with all the bTC and the coin will be dead worthless with no support.

This coin could've gone places but moshitfacegonfuckeronzo had to fuck it up

This is WC not BTC so there is no BTC to take off with. Do you have any better alternatives to save the coin? If nothing is done and your current advice is followed then the coin will be dead and worthless.
3713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (WC) | WhiteCoin | ☯ Now in PoS stage ☯ MULTIPOOL: whitecoinpool.com ☯ on: April 27, 2014, 06:55:58 AM
Options:

A) Shout, throw mud, spread FUD etc. and lose whatever you still have in WC as it will cause current saving efforts to cease.
B) Support the effort to save the coin and do what you can to help.

It is obvious that no-one from the original dev team is here trying to defend the coin or to do any saving. It seems therefore that the effort mogonzo is doing is the only effort to save WC atm, so rather support his effort. Therefore, supporting option B above has some chance of saving many people's investment and option A has 0% chance. The course of action seems quite clear.

@CryptoGir offered to fix the wallet for 10 BTC.

Dont pay anyone to fix wallet probably a scam.. Also you need someone that can always keep updating the code as needed just look at Black Coin and so many commits on github not someone that fixes one time for 10 btc...

Same guy that fixed SHA and launched Zimstake

Looks like things are running smooth now. Thanks dev for all the hard work to get this going. With limited number of coins and PoS things are looking good for this coin.

I have downloaded my white coin wallet, unlocked it and it is running. There are coins in it.But I do not see a green upwards pointing arrow which when you put your cursor on will say staking (My blackcoin wallet has this arrow) Nowhere I see a message in wallet that it is staking. It is connected to network, has active connections. Can somebody help?

I think everyone has the issue and needs some dev action with a wallet upgrade.

The reason people moved to Scrypt is Whitecoin that was almost at 200% profitability. Scrypt ASICs are already here and have ben used on some of the WC pools. probably test ASICs.

Anybody else get scammed by talesfromthescrypt.org?

I've seen a lot of posts saying the same.  I hope we can find remediation.
