price down to 200sat and diff down to ~60. I guess the idea is good but the market is not respond according to plan. still have some of this coin though. not that many people know how to withdraw to paper wallet and then deposit exchange. Not many people will use c-cex, most would rather wait till it got on poloni, bitrex mintpal. so not a true indication, just have to wait a few more days till pow phase is over........... I dont think the aim to trade atm. The exchange is just there for people to withdraw their coins if they dont trust leaving it in the pool. It is interesting to note that the exchange price is on par with the cost of mining it.

I think confidence in the coin all around will be much higher once wallet and source is released after PoW stage.
Agreed.

The coin is just trading at the rate on par with mining it. The price will remain in limbo until POW ends and the wallets and everything is opened up. Once the code has been scrutinised and if everything checks out, it will be business as usual. If everything checks out there will at least not be a top heavy rich list of the mega miner/dumpers. (Hopefully). A big IF everything checks out and turns out to be legit and above board that is.

In general i don't have issues with the way coins are selected at MP... Its been mostly working fine in terms of what jc12345 mentioned.
But recently, i have seen that MP is moving away from their own criteria in terms of coin selection. Because of this coins like Boost and others are not added on MP even with Hugh trade volume. While other coins are added to the exchange when its been clear from the start that they are being pushed to exchange only because they can be dumped by big whales when they hit MP.
+1 Its interesting how some coins hit MP very quickly while other 100% airdrop coins are ignored because of low value. MyCoin is an example, now Ive never mined MyCoin and I have zero MYC to my name, but Ive never know a coin push so hard to be on Mintpal and so far the plea of MYC has been ignored. MYC deserves to be on MP more than most at the moment. Would it hurt MP to list Mycoin? How difficult is it to add a coin to the exchange? About 5 minutes work Im guessing. I would be expecting it to be listed Monday, MP have no excuse now. Wait until Monday night and if Mycoin is not listed then you can complain.

i dont think much of mintpals antics aswell.paid votes is just bullshit when they just go and add a coin if they like it.i know paid votes is optional but i have seen them just add a coin even if its not winning votes.
To understand this behaviour you have to understand the objectives of an exchange and the objective of coin voting. The objective is to have popular coins with high volumes with a high chance of success listed on an exchange. The main strategy to achieve this objectives is the coin voting process. However, if there is a coin with the characteristics to achieve the exchange objectives, then it is not necessary to complete the voting process because the criteria have already been met. If MP therefore feels that a coin has a high chance of success with large community support through other indicators than coin voting, they can list it straight away if they want to.

I may be one of the few here but let me try to make my point without swearing or cursing (its going to be difficult) Mintpal Voting1 Direct Link MYC MyCoin 1NFc6xXtgdxvU61LigRnPxu7vsFhSKaKSR 22272 Well done to mycoin.!!!!!! Each 0.001 BTC received will count for 1 vote. (taken from voting page) Mycoin = 22272 votes 22.272 btc total 22.272 x 600 dollars (ish) = 10 thousand dollars or more roughly for a coin at 23 sats currenly. I hope to be recognised as one of the good guys on Bitcointalk, and I don't know which of these users is the Mintpal Dev on Bitcointalk or if he / she (most likely he) is aware of my opinions but here they are mintpal is a bunch of thieving cunts. I wont vote for shit on your exchange and I use it reluctantly.Vote buying on Mintpal is optional. The idea is that the community votes for a coin they like with a max of one vote per hour per account. This way MP can determine which coins have larger community support and have a bigger chance of having larger volumes and be a successful coin. Mintpal has added the option to buy votes which is a means for them to generate income to maintain their backend systems - the systems that enables us to exchange coins. You are mistaken if you think all the 22k votes for Mycoin came from buying votes - perhaps 90% normal voting and 10% vote buying. There will always be a mixture of normal voting and vote buying. In theory it is possible that someone could put down 22 BTC today on a coin that is at the bottom of the MP list and it could beat Mycoin tomorrow, but it is highly unlikely. To brand MP as thieves is completely untrue and shows that you do not know ow MP voting works. Your opinion is completely unfounded and inappropriate.

Guys, please enlighten us what the issue is about pool.mn? Has pool.mn done something in the past that we have to be concerned about? What is the significance if the dev team is related to pool.mn?
Everything about minerals coin so far has been smooth and there is nothing really to complain about at this point. Yes the POW portion is closed, but the answer will always lie somewhere in-between centralised and decentralized, open and closed source. Exactly where in-between something needs to be depends on the risks one want to mitigate for a coin and the controls needed to be implemented to mitigate the risks.
So the alarmists about pool.mn please tell us why you are concerned and why I should rather move my resources elsewhere, although I have not had any issues with minerals coin so far?

Diff change according to the pool page is in another 274 blocks. Last block of the pool I looked at was >1 hour for the round. mmmm difficult times for the next number of blocks.

Great. Diff went up to 4m. Getting tougher to accumulate coins. i am starting to think that the 20k sats sell price on RapidCX is realistic. Yeah i saw that. Payouts hit a brick wall. Was able to get 125k fairly easily. The jump to 4m was a bit excessive I think. It is going to take a while to get the blocks at this diff for confirmations to go through. Hopefully diff will drop to around 1.8-2.4m or so which is more reasonable for this hash rate.

Dev, in addition to the block explorer, can you please make a rich list so that we can verify the balances of any address for transparency purposes. A top 1000 should do it. The total of the list can then also be reconciled to the money supply. Being open and transparent will improve people's trust in the dev team and the coin and will make the value of the coin increase substantially. If this is important to the dev team, please make us the rich list. Here is an example of what a top 1000 rich list looks like. http://coinia.net/zimstake/getbalance.php?top=1000

Which OS X version are you running ?
OSX 10.9.3 latest It's quite strange cause it's also compiled on the same OS X version. Moreover you can see an MAC Wallet screenshot some pages before. Huh... okay. Lets wait for anybody else with OSX. It can be issue on my environment, but other Qt wallets works fine. Not Problem right now for me, because I have win7 virtual machine. Mac OSX wallet working fine. Very slow to download and process blockchain, exactly like the Bitcoin OSX wallet, but otherwise no issues.

Can any solo miners tell me how to setup solo mine Conf for cgminer and conf file?
Too late for solo mining now. It would be in your interest to mine on a pool. Above 100k diff becomes a waste of electricity on solo.

Was the ICO sold at 2500 sat per PRO?
ICO was 0.000025 BTC = 1 PRO Oh shi. I got PM offer to buy my coins at much much cheaper price than that. Good to know. Meanwhile difficulty : 262144 New SHA coins normally settle around 600-1m diff.

Mintpal have been known to add the top 2 coins on Monday, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do add it this Monday. Might be a good dayto announce what is in the pipeline before then Not necessarily. If the winner is announced then there can be a holding statement, if not then the holding statement can be held back for another week.
|
|
|
Will it not be Mycoin on Monday and then ZS the monday after?
Appears that way jc and I'm happy to have the extra week to allow for a couple more things to fall in place and solidify ZS before MP listing. We all want and ZS deserves a strong listing like Silkcoin today, ZS is not a top of the list dump coin like XXL, ITC or Mycoin. Fully agree.
