I have done some calculations out of interest. Please correct me if I made a mistake somewhere in my reasoning:
@ 2min per block
Phase Blocks Reward Coins Minutes Hours Days 1 1,000 1 1,000 0 0 0 (negligible as completed in first few minutes) 2 9,000 500 4,500,000 18,000 300 12,50 3 10,000 250 2,500,000 20,000 333 13,38 4 20,000 100 2,000,000 20,000 667 27,78 5 20,000 50 1,000,000 40,000 667 27,78 6 40,000 10 400,000 80,000 1,333 55,56
Total POW 10,401,000 198,000 3,300 137,50 = 4,58 months (pretty long time to have ASICs off BTC if it will really take this long)
From 10,401,000 to 50,000,000 are POS coins.
POW will therefore take 4.58 months since POS and POW are not simultaneous POS will start in 4.58 months, or at which point does POS start?

STATEMENT REGARDING RELAUNCH:
We had a talk with ahmed_bodi (owner of cryptopools and developer of stratum prot. python). Btw - ahmed was able to set up the pool and it was the only pool which was running fine.
After investigation and chats with ahmed we found out: Fail of the 2nd launch was the fault of the other pool-owners (i.e. m8,...) who didn't manage to set their pools up properly.
Therefore Cryptopools (ahmed bodi) will provide two pools for the relaunch. They will be the OFFICIAL POOLS. We guarantee that they will be running at relaunch.
And to us that rented rigs and lost btc, fuck us? buy your own rig then you dont have to rent its as simple as that quality. in all honesty, these are the risks you take when you decide to mine the launch of any shitcoin. Yes, ask Gamer. What do I have to do with any of that ? I own miners and occasionally I also hire some miners to supplement mine when mining a new coin. Your point was ? It was a tongue in the cheek comment. I noticed you were upset when SOV were going to be relaunched as I think it was you that mentioned elsewhere you rented hash for SOV launch and then went on to mine something else when it got stuck to recover some BTC. When Raskul mentioned it is a risk one takes for a launch of a **** coin, I just took a stab at him in jest. If he says this of other coins - he must remember that others did they same for his coin.

Whats the next plans for this coin?
This service is for users of Apple (IOS). There is no application It is a quick safe and very convenient service for sending and receiving coins. Need it? That sounds cool, I hope you can convince Apple to approve it as it would be super cool to have a wallet for iOS.

The first 2016 blocks did fly by as expected, but the diff retarget was only gradual and did not skyrocket. I thought it would let the blocks get stuck like it did with SOV but it did not. Pleasantly surprised.

Why does solo not work with this? Miners wont connect with wallet. I got 1 solo block successfully and then it wouldnt connect anymore.
EDIT: Figured it out.

My prediction for later today or tomorrow:
One of the following: 1. Need for a hard fork 2. Call in the help of about 2PHs off the network from proper Bitcoin 3. Re-launch with amended specs
Yeah, those first 2016 blocks could fly by, and then as everyone pulls off the chain you'll never pop 2017 for days. No way for a coin with 5 minute block time and diff retargetting at 2016 blocks to work, hell even a 30 second block time with 2016 blocks to retarget would kill a coin now. The original Bitcoin is unique in that it was the first and holds the majority of the hashrate and can maintain a stable hashrate. New altcoins cannot maintain stable hashrates and will fail with the same specifications of Bitcoin unless there is something truly unique to the coin. Look at the launch of Sovereign to see what happened with 8 minute block times and longer block retargets, I hate that they decided to completely pull the plug though. While we have 20 minute times with Embargocoin our diff adjusts every 2 blocks and it's a feature of Embargo as the idea is to have longer block times that you have to break through an Embargo. But for an actual new launch without a designed quirk it's not good. Regarding SOV, they will be re-launching soon and it was only 29 blocks lost. Pity of the re-launch but necessary to get things right in the background. Guess you haven't checked the thread today? It's marked abandoned now. Ok thanks for pointing that out.

But for an actual new launch without a designed quirk it's not good. Bravo. Cant believe the dev could not see this. The first 2016 blocks will be instamined and then diff will retarget to many millions or billions to compensate. No way block 2017 will be solved unless you get help from the Bitcoin network which will not happen. This is SHA256 we are talking about with ASICs, not CPUs when Bitcoin started. Bitcoin had the advantage to be nurtured over time. A coin needs protection nowadays with quicker diff retargets due to all the powerful miners out there. Too long a retarget and the coin will get stuck and miners will leave. Oh, and 600s is 10 min block time not 5.

What new things are you bringing to the table?
Also, what is your plans to prevent the coin getting stuck at block 2017?
I think everything will be Ok You cant foresee what is going to happen when the coin hits block 2017?
