1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 31, 2022, 11:59:43 PM

A lot of Chinese would probably take the loan but not gamble it. Only a handful of those people are taking loans to actually gamble and destroy their life. I fully agree that this is more of a personal matter than a cultural thing. While the Chinese are known to gamble a lot based on their history and culture, a lot of them would still think differently and avoid this path as much as possible.
Most of the Chinese people I know, several times make loans just to bet, because gambling is their tradition, it automatically affects their mindset so they will do whatever it takes to keep betting or gambling

In fact, I would be very surprised if there were genuine Chinese people who never made loans to gamble (even in small amounts) Lol
It is true Chinese people are well connected with their traditional activities. This is the reason why gambling got more importance during the early stages. Gambling in the early days were used as a means of entertainment, but in the later days the change happened. Surely there'll be some Chinese people who doesn't gamble, and if you go through different games they play in their regions it'll be very different and interesting.
1742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: July 31, 2022, 11:45:18 PM
If the OP can verify the reliability of his insider information. Taking a loan will not gonna hurt much to boost his bets but not the point that loan an amount worth a forune and invest it on gambling. I agree to your opinion if we are talking about normal gambling here but the OP case is different because he is claiming that he has an insider information that will give him an advanced info on the outcome of the game which is really happening in sports on some countries.

OP didn't take the loan to bet on the information he received. OP uses his money instead and won it but feels regret that he didn't take the loan. It means even OP is not sure how reliable the information is since if he is really sure about it, he won't consider following anyone's advice that doesn't take a loan.

OP is just taking chances and doesn't really have a legit way to find out if the source is valid or not. That will make things worst once he gets a loan and do a bet as there's no assurance that he will get the win on that source he is referring to.
Through this win the insider information seems to be legit. However we don't know whether it is an insider information or a prediction of OP which have won out of coincidence. OP have risked his money and have won good. Even if this bet have lost, this could've been a problem within him. If not, he used to answer each and everyone who paid getting a loan. So, it is something risky and people won't easily believe in it.
1743  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 31, 2022, 11:40:32 PM
Both of your suggestion is very acknowledging because when you look at the history of gambling it will make you to take far beyond human imagination and the beyond human thinking because when gambling started nobody knows about it and that is not fit to be proof that this is the origin of gambling but from the ancient time these people do exchange things and the from the process of exchanging things sometimes it will fall into gambling whereby if you don't meet up to a change with someone then you can go at it so gambling don't have beginning and it don't have an end

Gambling does have a beginning.  I always think that gambling originates when trade between people was established,  since we can not do gambling with ourselves alone, it was exercised when people learned to socialize, haggle with market prices, and make decisions when a certain event is too much for the tribe head to analyze.  As long as humans exist, I don't think gambling will perish.
Also you enter gambling with your choice but you cannot leave gambling because you choose to stop gambling.
It's a mud puddle where you keep drowning and there is not return unless you really decide to get out of it.
Everything is upon one's self control. If the gambler realise he's losing then surely he'll find way to come out of it. Her very few get out without much difficulty, whereas majority lacks control which makes them go for recovering back the losses. At some point everyone understand only the luckiest is able to make money whereas for others it is just a platform to spend time and money.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or Gold Investment? on: July 31, 2022, 11:27:28 PM
To me both look good, investing in gold first or BTC later, but I'm confused by the current market conditions especially in terms of ROI, who is the fastest to move on?
for me is gold btc can quick drop price anytime unlike gold ithink is not yearly gold going high price. Idont know ithink its good to invest gold and bitcoin and hold it for long te
We think gold is a strong and best assets because gold is a physical asset so we can easily trust this asset. But bitcoin is a digital currency and We can only enjoy its service.  But it has no real form. And its price is constantly rising and falling and never stable. So it behaves like a kind of gamble. So we always prefer gold then bitcoin.
the most important thing was gold accepted by all government at all around the world, so there is no worry about its legal standing, investors have certainity with their investment in gold, they will not affraid about banning that still happen in cryptocurrency . so this is why gold price still rise in every year if compared with bitcoin that have time cycle. but when bitcoin and cryptocurrency totally accepted at all countries, gold will be nothing.
The gold standard is age old and every country have used to it. This is the major reason why countries get adopted to it. Another thing every economy is tied to gold. With the new generations this can change and technology usage could make people move towards bitcoin. The best part, all the bitcoin investors mostly have gold, but all the gold investors doens't have bitcoin. When this scenario change we can see bitcoin investment dominance over gold.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: July 30, 2022, 05:15:48 PM
Even now many people have the same thinking about bitcoin and stay away from bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. These are due to lack of understanding and out of fear. During the early days it had its usage on illegal activities, darkweb and money laundering.

Now there is more awareness and people prioritise it more as an investment and I don't say it is being used for the good alone. There is usage of cryptocurrencies for other illegal needs, but people are more into the good than bad.
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 30, 2022, 03:38:50 PM
I was very surprised to see Zimbabwe's batting today. They don't care about Bangladeshi bowlers today. A huge collection of 205 in 20 overs, that too with the loss of just 3 wickets. Sikander Raja's 26-ball 65 was a brilliant inning, and much needed.
However, batting to a target of 206 is difficult to win. But since it is a batting pitch, it is not impossible. Moreover, Bangladesh's performance against Zimbabwe has always been good. I think Bangladesh has still a chance to win.
Zimbabwe scored 91 runs in the last 6 overs. Bangladeshi fast bowlers has given a lot of runs. There wasn't enough experienced batsman in Bangladesh squad. As a result, 206 runs was a huge target for them. Still they managed to score 188 runs. Zimbabwe has won the match by 17 runs. Bangladeshi openers Munim Shahriar doesn't deserve to be in the T20I squad. A strong opening partnership was required to chase this target. But his performance was so bad.
Big day for Zimbabwe to mark its win against Bangladesh in the first T20 match. 200+ runs is really big and the same created the winning momentum. As the required run rate is above 10 runs from the beginning there's pressure even if a single over is missed. Anyhow the upcoming matches will be very interesting, because Bangladesh will fight hard to win the match.

Did any of you came across the bomb blast into the cricket ground in Afghanistan during an regional T20 league. It is very bad and Afghanistan cricket is truly facing much difficulties. Amidst all this they're slowly making progress and the governments should assure with peaceful living conditions. One of the terrorist organisation have mentioned that they're the one to conduct the bomb blast. During this blast four audience have got injured.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 30, 2022, 12:30:16 PM
Indeed, you are absolutely right! During my youth, I had some problems with gambling, but over time, awareness and freedom came, giving me incredible ease. I realized that I am a free person. The joy of freedom gave me the skills of Caution. We should not forget about the dangers of gambling, but it is not necessary to deny yourself a favorite hobby.

I believe it isn't freedom but rather an awareness and taking responsibility for everything you do.  You get matured as you grow up, you thought become deeper and your vision becomes wider.  When you were a young person, all you can think about is having fun but once you get mature you are able to see that gambling responsibly will save you from any lurking danger in gambling activities.  I do agree that it not necessary to deny ourselves of our favorite hobby as long as it don't affect ourselves and people around us negatively.
I wish if I learn gambling from the responsible and senior gamblor. I envy all those who says that they earn a lot from gambling and enjoys financial freedom.
I have always been struggling with my finances, and it's never brings anything good.
Already you weren't able to make a big win out of gambling, then it is good to take a break than just looking for financial freedom out of gambling. When you're into financial struggle, gambling is not the right choice. I've experienced similar situation, and I'm trying the take a break than just trying to recover what I've lost. Gambling brings good only to the luckiest.
1749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to hedge/cashout bets before end of sport event? on: July 30, 2022, 11:04:03 AM
I just stick to my bets all throughout the event. Besides, I only bet small amounts just to add thrill to me watching these events unfold. Idk about the others, but I just accept the outcome whatever it is. Just do better on the next bet and hope for the best, I guess. On people who are maximizing their bets however, they can freely do this though it will be tiresome and boring as the event continues.
Almost everyone who spend on sports bets spend small amounts so to thrill their watching experience. I used to cashout before the end of the event when the winning chance of the team lowers. Here if I wasn't able to get back the amount I've spend on the bet, I'll just leave it. In such a way many bets have won at the end of the event.
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 29, 2022, 11:59:49 PM
This is kind of promotion for different platforms. In the past we used to see YouTube videos for the streamers making money and try their strategies. Now this has turned to be a way of promoting respective platforms and get paid. If we look upon the streamers it looks like they're spending big and making big money. The reality, they're funded by the gambling platforms and they play without the fear of losing which for sure brings in profit.
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 29, 2022, 11:59:24 PM
India had a good start and the same is being carried till the end. Based on the scoring at the starting overs I expected the target to be 200+ runs. In between the scoring got disturbed and finally with the trashing performance of Dinesh Karthik India was able to reach 190 runs. Today I believed that West Indies will make a big chase, because it is the team that performs unexpectedly. But they weren't able to make it, started to lose wickets from the beginning itself.
We all believe that West Indies is a very perfect team to play T20But they don't understand how to deal with India. They could not win the target of 190 runs in yesterday's match. 190 runs is not much but they lost many wickets early on.And especially West Indies are performing very badly lately which no one can accept. But I think it will be very difficult for them to move forward with such a game.West Indies still have many gaps in their team to fill them and move forward.
Yes, but it keeps failing the expectation of its followers. West Indies had a good T20 team, and the expectation is high after its T20 World Cup win which none expected. West Indies have got able players, but if one player isn't able to make it then the rest fails. I don't know whether it is lack of experience or there is any misunderstanding between the players. The board need to make quick changes as ICC T20 is fast approaching.
1752  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: July 29, 2022, 11:58:34 PM
Yeah I mean if you take a look at social media outlets / platforms from when they are in their beginning to a more mature phase, as in several years in and now popular, it all goes from just being a social network to a business to these platform providers like Facebook and Twitter. It of course either ruins them or makes them worse.
In the past we had separate platforms for marketing. Now this is the place were money is flowing. For this reason marketing is being prioritised on every social media platforms. Meta have got Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Facebook is completely flooded with marketing, Instagram is beyond that. When it comes to WhatsApp, people have started to market through the status feature.
1753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There will be 1 billion crypto users by 2030 - research on: July 29, 2022, 11:56:18 PM
I think it's still possible for the crypto adoption to properly kick in and for a billion of users to be reached. I'd say that less than 8 years isn't enough for that, though, and current world conditions aren't very favourable for larger development of technologies because the economy isn't doing well. 10 to 20 years- yes, sure. 7.5 years - highly unlikely. And then there's the concern others pointed out, regarding the way the number of users is counted (including the number of current users).
It depends, while I also think that under normal conditions reaching such amount of users is unlikely and it is better if we gave bitcoin decades to reach that number, it is not like it is impossible if the conditions are extraordinary.

I have always thought that if things get really bad and there was inflation out of control a high rate of unemployment and even political stability that will be the trigger for people to actually look for alternatives and as such massive adoption could happen really quickly under that scenario.
The real adoption need to take place. Only then it'll happen. If not this will serve to be numbers without value. Because, we predict and in the real-time it is hard to be achieved. The growth over the years have skyrocketed in terms of users. In specific the increase is being felt much over the Asian and African belt. This means the chances of reaching 1 billion in another 8 years of time is possible.
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: July 29, 2022, 11:53:34 PM
A part of the control is taken by the global media. They influence people's opinions and they the market with their actions. We know it as FUD or FOMO and it works temporarily. But I would also say that the demand for Bitcoin is important. More acceptance, the more it is controlled by many people and maybe easier to read.

as we simply put it, it is the supply and demand that moves the market. but identifying who are controlling the market? it is like punch in the air. no one can pinpoint who are actually majorly influencing this market. we are just observing who are major players or influencers in this market and yet, we can't tell that they are the ones moving this market.
Yes, it is the supply and demand. Apart from that, the positive and negative things happening around relative to cryptocurrency makes its move. At times the involvement of influencers over the market will have some impact. Likewise depending on the time there used to be different parameters that drive the market. It is difficult to define same as how the stock market value grow.
1755  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 29, 2022, 12:00:33 AM
Bonus paid every year is not bad idea, but it's not worth it for me or there must be some catch for this, maybe additional rules and turnovers.
Gambling website with many users like Stake will have to pay bonus to all kyc level2 users, so you can do the math and calculate how much money they will give.
Next thing could be some kyc3 level and they could ask even more stuff from users, maybe full history and medical information.
That's an imagination. Whether it is Stake or some other gambling platform they'll never request for the medical information. Requesting for the KYC is by norms and keep their system in a perfect condition. To provide birthday bonus, recently Stake have given a notification. Users who are interested will provide the information and receive the rewards on that specific day.
1756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good idea how to make profit on: July 28, 2022, 11:46:31 PM
Market manipulation is possible from the whales, but this gets extended to certain point. Beyond that, the market is a open place where it functions independent. Rather than spending such a big amount OP can learn and you itself can give suggestions on the market movements. Following Grayscale is good, but bitcoin not the same everytime. We need to understand it.
1757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: July 28, 2022, 11:40:38 PM
There'll be always disappointments with investment. Surely bitcoin users too might have experienced it. Because, most of the users doesn't have any understanding about the technology. All they know is about the growth and it's potential to profit the investors. This lands many people into bitcoin and they have the understanding of bitcoin being a way to turn themselves rich. Here many have got disappointed as they weren't able to have patience for long term.
1758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking forward to add exchange tokens to my portfolio on: July 28, 2022, 11:32:20 PM
There are many exchanges that issued their native token or con for their exchange. They always give some interesting offers if using their initial token when trading or doing any activities in the exchange. But, not all exchange token or coin is valuable for investment. This will also relate to what kind of exchange it is, higher rank of the exchange will also influence how the token or coin issued by the exchange itsef.
For me, BNB is still theworthiest exchange coin  to hold.
Majority of the Exchanges have got their tokens. As for concerned these exchanges have big role in the cryptocurrency market. Unlike the volume and other features of an exchange, investment over an exchange backed coin will surely profit in the long term. Binance is good and for now I suggest FTX which is slowly making big progress in the market.
1759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIBA INU - The Next gem in Altcoin industry on: July 28, 2022, 11:28:16 PM
few years ago I also heard that SHIBA INU would be a valuable coin, but until now I didn't see this coin as a profitable investment, but I see SHIB as a dead coin because crypto users are not at all interested in this shitcoin, I hope beginners think twice about investing with them, lest you get trapped and make your time wasted.

It should be noted that the fact that a coin is listed on an exchange does not mean that it will not disappear in the future or become a scam. As an example, the coin Luna is invested in by the top funds in the market, and it is listed on all the major exchanges, but it still turns out to be a scam and makes thousands of investors lose their money as a result.
Yes, just on listing into top tier exchange doesn't mean it'll skyrocket. Luna is an example, same time we need to think on what reason Luna failed. Due to its improper planning it failed. With Shiba things are taking place in the opposite way. Out of hype it grew high and further the growth isn't left down. Different strategies were used to keep up the growth and the team is running on executing the plans on time.
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 25, 2022, 08:35:27 PM

Every sports now days is a money game any sports does not have money involved in it then no one will be interested. Cricket and in particular T20 format has recently achieved so much money and popularity globally and one of the key players is BCCI because it conducts IPL.

After adding two new teams to IPL I think the fan base of IPL has increased and that is why the revenue from media rights rose so much.
IPL was a long tournament and people didn't show much interest unless it reaches to the quarterfinal.
even in India people didn't have time to follow all the initial matches - there are so many teams in IPL on the other hand PSL has only 4 teams and it was far better than IPL
Why would anyone watch all the matches of the IPL? (Except it's related to their jobs)

How many times we watch all matches in the World Cup? Even hard core cricket fans don't follow every team's fixtures in the WC as they focus in high profile games, casual cricket fans only follow rivalry-matches only and so it's a same with the IPL.
I don't think so, because of the timing in which IPL matches start. Around 7:30 pm the match begins. This is the time by which most of the people sit to watch what have taken place around the world. During the time of IPL fixtures, the people who are watching the world happening will start watching IPL matches. One day if it interests, the next day onwards particular person will sit to watch IPL.
