1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin obsession! on: August 14, 2023, 07:45:26 AM
So lets talk about obsession (addiction) to bitcoin. I felt in a way it might help bitcoin enthusiasts like myself and others to knows  and understand in clear terms if bitcoin obsession is bad(wrong) or not.

Well, in my case it's not an obsession, it just occupies a part of my thoughts every day. But where is the line that separates obsession from what is not? For a miner or for an influencer who makes a living from this is it an obsession because it occupies a large part of their day's thoughts?

It reminds me of poker. There are players who make a living from it and don't just play several hours a day. They also have a poker school, a poker YouTube channel and things like that. So, practically what they think about most every day is poker.

I think that spending many hours thinking, talking or writing about bitcoin is not an obsession in a negative sense if you otherwise lead a normal life.
1162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello, I'm new here. on: August 14, 2023, 07:30:51 AM
First unofficial rule: Probably read around or use Google first before asking as to prevent redundant questions. This questions is being asked like a few times a week.

Topic: New to the Forums, hello everyone! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5459900.0

Yeah, the same story again.

I don't like to be hard on newbies, and I know that sometimes I have been in threads of this style although more crude, but I don't see a promising future for those who come to the forum expecting us to give them everything on a platter. I don't know, maybe I lived in a time when when you wanted to acquire knowledge about a specific topic you had to physically leave home and go to a library, or to buy books maybe previously having talked with someone so they could guide you on how to get the information, while today you can get a lot of information that the wise men of antiquity could not have even dreamed of at the click of a button.

My advice, OP is to be as autonomous as possible to acquire knowledge of the topics discussed in the forum and in general. Of course, if you have a specific question when you are learning, ask in the forum and we will help you.
1163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system on: August 14, 2023, 07:23:04 AM
I suppose I should know the answer to this question, because I have been familiar with the trust system for some time, but I am not entirely clear about it, and the question is why I see hopenotlate's feedback as, apparently, he is not in DT.

I went to leave neutral feedback on a non-collateralized loan on the HedgeFx profile, as he requested, and saw the feedback left by hopenotlate on a previous loan. My first thought was that if hopenotlate is on DT I would let him write the tag on the current loan, but I just checked on bpip.org and he doesn't show up as on DT. I also checked on bpip.org only  two members who are not in DT1 have included him.

So, I am not 100% clear why I see his feedback, because I don't have on my trust list any of the two that have included him.
1164  Other / Meta / The order of the threads in Service Announcements. on: August 13, 2023, 08:12:05 AM
I don't know if any old user has responded to this already but I have searched and can't see anything about it.

In the Service Announcements section I see the threads as sorted in a way that I don't know what it is, but it is not by the last post published as it happens to me in the rest of the sections of the forum:

In the other sections the threads appear in order of publication of the last post. Let's see Bitcoin Discussion for example:

Any idea why this happens?
1165  Economy / Lending / Re: Mr Martinz Loanz on: August 13, 2023, 08:00:51 AM
In fact, I have added my support for the flag though I wonder why Timelord2067 opposed the flag, yet I have always seen him have a strong stance against lending board scammers and potential scammers.

Are you one of those who take Timelord2067 seriously? I'm not surprised that he opposed this flag or anything he might do at this point. I know many people still trust him but I put him on ignore some time ago because he is too conspiratorial with alts and such.
1166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a curious amateur! what are your expereince in the previous crypto bullrun? on: August 13, 2023, 07:36:44 AM
I've heard incredible tales of individuals either retiring in a month or regretting their decision to hold back into the bear market because they believed "it always goes up" and didn't want to lose out on bigger earnings

In any case, that would have been in the bull run of the first cycles. In the cycle we are in, from peak price to peak price, it has only increased by 3.5X. If we were to count from the minimum it would be 20X, but for that you would have to hit the cycle minimum to buy a good lump sum and then hit the maximum to sell everything at that time, which is as likely to hit as you are to win the lottery.

And just think that even in that case, if you invested $1K, you've turned it into $20K, which doesn't give you enough to retire on. If you invested $10K, you will have had $200K, which is a good amount, but if you were able to invest $10K, it won't be that much for you.

If we go to the previous cycles, the multipliers were higher, but apart from the improbable case of hitting cycle minimums and maximums mentioned above, what has been really profitable and has given you enough to retire is to hold on for two cycles, not one.

In my case, as I didn't have a good amount as to be able to retire, I just remember as sweet moments checking the price and seeing that we had beaten another ATH, just as I would enter the forum and it was full of bullish threads, just as on Youtube and social media, everyone saying that the price was going to $150K, $200K, even some prediction $0.5M. The bad thing was the disappointment afterwards, that those predictions didn't come true.

1167  Economy / Economics / Re: All millions are from real estate. on: August 13, 2023, 07:25:30 AM
You sound like someone who has a lot of theories like about getting rich with RE but has no RE in reality, other than maybe the house you live in, which you are paying for with a mortgage.

We see , millioners are growing from real estate. Other businesses are also available but real estate industry is fast income growing industry. Builders also get benefit from real estate, they work on foreigners projects, builders invest foreigner  money. Real estate industry is continuously growing.

That was especially true in the last century. The great fortunes were either made in RE or invested heavily in RE after having made a fortune in other sectors. In the 21st century the great fortunes have been made digitally, and while they still tend to diversify somewhat into RE and the pure RE business still exists, it is nowhere near as important as it was in the 20th century.

1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What should I do if the cloudbet casino withdrawal is delayed for more than 56 h on: August 12, 2023, 08:28:59 AM
That is a "trick" from the casino as most casinos use this in order to just delay the funds so you can play again and risk to lose it all,we have all heard stories of this type.

Too many. The statistics they must have on how many people lose their earnings it they make them wait in order to complete the withdrawal must be overwhelming. That's why they do it. Instant deposits but delayed withdrawals, which are delayed the longer the larger the amount. It is true that for security reasons it is better to review and not allow instant withdrawals of large amounts but this and other cases are way out of line.
1169  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Failed to submit review and also did not refund the payment. on: August 12, 2023, 08:19:32 AM
I have also supported the flag. What I see is that payment was made upfront. I don't know if this is usual or what because I have never participated in review but I suppose that if the payment was made after submitting a satisfactory review instead of upfront, this wouldn't have happened. However, I understand that maybe the payment was made this way for simplicity and convenience.
1170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new here, I need to know BTC on: August 12, 2023, 08:09:13 AM
And for me to succeed here, it requires everybody to guild and direct me to learn and master everything about Bitcoin.

On the contrary, the most successful people on this forum have never created a thread like this one asking others to make the effort he doesn't want to make to search.

You still have time to change, but I regret to tell you that with that attitude I do not see you a very promising future in the forum, unless it is hunting bounties.

... best way is  "Using searching bar". and Then you can learn a lot very quickly.

Yes, but he prefers to have it handed to him on a platter.

Your early posts tell us that you are not bad at navigating; why do you need another topic?

Probably because somehow he already knows that opening new threads is more likely to get you merits, and he already received one for a thread full of vagueness but praising how cool Bitcoin is.
1171  Economy / Lending / Re: Lend Crypto New Service-Loan Without Collateral on: August 12, 2023, 07:50:30 AM
Also for the clueless who might fall into a trap like this, here it should be said that in this case they will ask you either for personal information or something to scam you. Lending money without requiring collateral to strangers makes it too easy for that stranger to disappear without returning the money, so they will require something which is where the trap will be to scam you.

If it were a totally altruistic service they would simply donate the money and that's it.

I remind everyone reading this that the OP has a red tag for running a scam site that supposedly doubled your bitcoins, on a website that is now defunct, as you might expect. Don't trust him one bit.
1172  Economy / Lending / Re: Mr Martinz Loanz on: August 12, 2023, 07:45:21 AM
I hope no one is naive enough to fall into your trap. The three red tags in your profile and the active flag against you should be enough, but just in case there are some clueless people, it is better to warn them not to fall into the trap of a scammer like you.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering - share your opinion on: August 11, 2023, 01:31:21 PM
Wagering is an activity to redeem gambling bonuses, increase the rank of your account in a casino and a whole series of other advantages ...
Share your opinion and what are your tips or tricks on this topic

Well, I'll talk about my own thing. It's been a long time since I've sacrificed volume for quality of play when playing poker. In the old days it made more sense because the rakeback programs in many rooms were so good that it was more profitable to be a rakeback player at certain levels in exchange for a certain status than to be a winner at the tables. In other words, it was worth doing a lot of volume, betting a lot more, sacrificing profits at the tables for the rakeback rewards.

But for some time now it just isn't worth it. When I play, I play concentrated, when I'm mentally well, trying to make the moves as EV+ as possible and the rakeback I consider it a complement. I'm not going to play even one more hand to get a certain rakeback because what happens with the current systems is that the most normal thing is that you lose more profits for being more tired or less concentrated than what the rakeback compensates you.
1174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you know segment. (Get to know briefly a few legendary rank users and learn) on: August 11, 2023, 01:19:08 PM

I asked that same question once.  Wink

It seems that the Switzerland thing comes from his systematic neutral stance in many forum discussions. I don't think I'm not giving away any secrets if I say that he actually lives about 1000 kilometers further north.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin Phase are we on: August 11, 2023, 01:16:01 PM
Considering the upcoming event of bitcoin halving next year, could we judge that this journey is about to begin with the market going dip or the current situation is to incidence the begining of the rise of bitcoin for a bullrun.

The latter. The most normal scenario is that between now and halving we will have an upside, without beating the $69K ATH of this cycle, and post-halving we will have a proper bull run, beating that ATH and I believe passing $100K clearly after several attempts. From there I dare say no more.

This is based on what previous Bitcoin cycles have been like, which need not repeat exactly, and this cycle is a sample of that, but they are a guide for us
1176  Economy / Reputation / Re: Another unfair trust/feedback from user Timelord2067 on: August 11, 2023, 09:23:32 AM
You started to made false accusations against me.
You lost DT strength for your accusations against me
You lost trust from other reputable members due to your unfair accusations against me
You made post against me and then deleted it
You made unfair trust against me and then deleted it

If you think something about me, this doesn’t mean that what you think is the truth.

Add me to your ignore list and go live your life. Stop wasting your (and mine ) time.

I don't know why you waste so much time and energy on him. You can also put him on your ignore list and that's it. I put him on it quite a while ago and haven't regretted it for a second afterwards.

What if he leaves feedback in your profile? I personally couldn't care less about untrusted feedback, and even less about neutral one.

Please lock the thread, put him on ignore and pass on him.
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin F*cking ETF on: August 11, 2023, 09:17:06 AM
Who cares actually? I don't personally like the concept of ETF and I want them to directly buy in a similar fashion how Michael Saylor is doing with his company. Why do they need a Bitcoin ETF? just buy the way it's made to be bought and use it. These companies just want to earn from multiple small ventures by providing them with this ETF shit thing. I am happy it didn't passed. it's not like it's going to bring Bitcoin to $100k. If the demand was that high, you will see that in the price action.

That's what I thought. In this forum we should care less. The only thing is that the approval of the Bitcoin ETF is supposed to throw a bullish sign into the market and bring in more institutional money. But that's the theory, that just as it can drive the price up it can drive it down. Imagine x famous company buying many millions of dollars in Bitcoin ETF and then after a year selling it. It would also affect the market negatively, just like when Tesla sold.

So, I don't worry, I keep accumulating real Bitcoin, not ETFs or shit, and that's it.
1178  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] [banned mixer] Bitcoin Mixer | Sig Campaign | Up to 0.003 BTC/W on: August 10, 2023, 11:34:11 AM
What's this about surprise and shock?  I haven't heard anything.

Even if you haven't heard anything, just think that this is the highest paying campaign now, the most similar to Chip Mixer in terms of payment, with the only difference being that CM paid up to 50 posts per week while this one pays up to 35. That and the fact that the recently accepted participants are all former Chip Mixer campaign participants will have caught some people off guard, I guess.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC will hit new high, as crypto bull billionaire predict on: August 10, 2023, 07:42:33 AM
I, after all the failed predictions about the maximum price for this cycle that were made in 2021 by famous people like these, I don't care what they say anymore. Recall that there were very sophisticated models such as S2F, whose author was still insisting at least until recently on the corrrection of his model despite the dismal failure of the predictions, or Dan Held's super cycle theory, which gave $0.5M as the maximum price for this cycle. Max Keiser also, for example, predicted a high of $288K which we should have reached by now.

So all those predictions have no more value than mine, no matter how sophisticated they are, and the only thing that is clear to me is that as the cycles progress, the price will continue to rise, but the returns in percentage terms will be much lower than in the first cycles, as has already happened in this one. Whereupon, for me a realistic prediction is that in the next cycle, after spring 2024 we will reach a peak that will be between $100K and $200K.
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Came back from long haitus on: August 10, 2023, 07:30:49 AM
Even if someone is in a coma for a long time, it will not completely erase their past memories unless the person has amnesia. Logically, even if you have left the forum for a long time, it will not make you forget how to join the signature campaign. This is the simplest problem, not as complicated as you might think so have to ask a question here.

As several have commented, it is most likely a purchased account. Either that or he hit his head and has brain injury that prevents him from remembering basic things, because otherwise it doesn't explain that he has not only applied to signature campaigns in the past, but was accepted and participated in some, for example:

Thank you for accepting me in this campaign. Can we start posting now? Also, may we know on what day is the payment day?

Which does not fit with this at all:

I wanted to start offering again my services such as participating in signature campaigns but I don't know where to start. Can some tell me what are the current qualifications to join some campaign and how/where to get them?

I feel like leaving at least a neutral tag on his profile for quite likely bought account, but I'm controlling my aggressiveness lately, and I want to see how the yahoo62278 thing goes too.
