Was wondering if its possible to mine forks with Smos...never really mined any forks. So is it possible to mine ETC with ETH claymore miner or ZLC(zen soon) with Zcash miners?

Much appreciated.

Seems that the newest Claymore ZEC miner now supports all ZEC forks...
Maeby... Tytanick will add this v12.5 in the next smOS update

Quote from: Claymore on May 23, 2017, 08:01:09 PM
v12.5:

- added support for latest ZCash forks.
- improved fans management for latest drivers and Polaris cards.
- added "-mpsw" option.
- added shares-per-GPU statistics when "s" key is pressed.
- Included EthMan v3.0 which supports passwords and email notifications.

got 2 Rigs with x6 570 8gb

Is this normal for GPU 0 to be stuck at 12 mhs while others are at 24?

also is it normal for cards 1-5 to fluctuate between 4mhs to 24 mhs?

I have motherboard GA-MA770T-UD3P and 5x RX 470. I can boot and mining with 4 cards fine but when I add 5th card there is a problem. Tryed another same mainboard but nothing changed

I have no idea. Can you help me please? Mainboard support 5th card i saw somebody have this board on his rigs.
Try those settings:
1) Make sure you're running the latest BIOS!
2) Enable 4G
3) Set PCIe support to "Auto" - DO NOT MANUALLY SET TO GEN1. THIS CAUSES MAJOR ISSUES
4) Enable onboard graphics startup as first! I believe this is changing "PEG" to "IGD" or something in the Advanced BIOS
5) Plug your monitor into the ONBOARD graphics
6) Use either simpleminer-RX-v1093-4.11.rc8-16.60-enableexe0ANDips0.imgc or simpleminer-RX-v1093-4.11.rc8-16.60-enablerc60.imgc (sorry, I don't remember which I used!)
https://simplemining.net/download/

Is the SIA standalone miner more profitable than claymore dual ?
Anyone have some stats ?

I have the same problem with MSI Gaming M5 and G3900 Celeron, today i will try again

1st of all huge props.  Smiley

Windows 10 still not working with my rig, hangs when GPU no 6 is connected with MEMORY NO EXECUTE ERROR.

2nd.

Its running now and I am minning eth:

A)Cards spin up n down all the time this normal?

B)Some cards report very low MHz

C) How do I get payed in ETH or BTC? Where can I see my balance?  Cheesy

A) they are probably overheating and being throttled down

B) try changing core/mem or use a modded bios

C) you need to use your own pool configuration with your own worker name or wallet address, the default configs only mine for tytanick and are there for guidance only.

ok can anyone please provide help on how to do that....

Ok I understand it is from the line below each algo!  Grin

The cards are overheating like mad, any bios mods you would sugest?

Overclocking from simplemining does not seem to work for the rig with asus strix cards while the one with nitro works ok!

Google it and you will get lots of results from the Ethereum forums. They have all the guidance and warnings you need.

If you have a monitor connected then it is possible but it shouldn't be that low.
As I mentioned, the fluctuations are due to the overheating/throttling problem. Apparently, (as mentioned by Claymore, I think) cards with Polaris architecture also fluctuate by nature. Nothing we can do with that but that fluctuation is only a few MH for a very short period of time. You need to solve your heat problem and possibly undervolt as well. Check details on the Ethereum forums.

Question from a noob.

If I only mod the mem straps in the bios on the RX cards, can I successfully adjust the timings for the core an memory with the available overclocking tool on the website (just like I would with MSI afterburner on windows)?

Thanks

All my smOS rigs are running Optiminer v1.7 on NH ZEC rental marketplace.

So far so good no interruptions- I am using the new dashboard.

xleejohnx -- Anything "funny" in particular to look out for?

@enricosofie

Maeby this is a good opportunity for you to have 2 rigs

RX480s for ETH rig, using smOS "RX" image

and

R9-290 for ZEC rig, using smOS "R" image

I have noticed that the dual mining Claymore is running 8.1.  Shouldn't it be running 9.4 as well?  Would that make any difference?
