I'm delighted to announce that Crown has been added to the Blockfolio portfolio tracker app.

In my opinion this is the definitive app for tracking the value of your crypto investments.

If you own a few coins and want to keep an eye on the value of your portfolio, I highly recommend it.

443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] - PRE NOTICE on: March 02, 2017, 10:37:35 AM

there is never any shortage of ideas - but to implement is a very huge undertaking ...

#crysx

To deliver a huge undertaking you need a team of devs, working together on a concerted agreed plan combined with a supportive and engaged community. A lone wolf, refusing to engage his community and asking for money to see non functional demo wallets is not likely to implement coins101's ideas.

Having said that, I'd be surprised if coins101 wanted to hurt the project you speak of in any way. Perhaps the two can coexist.

Coins101, when are you going to provide more info?

hence why i made the statement ...

i have a great deal of respect for coins and yourself - as well as quite a few others ...

#crysx

Kind words, thanks mate.

I'd like to point out that I have no involvement in Coins' plans at the moment.  I'm fully occupied elsewhere right now.

This could change in the future but at the moment I'm just really interested to see where this goes.

Having said that, I'm always happy to help a worthwhile project if I have the time and ability to do so. Lets see how this pans out.

Hoping to announce a couple of new services to support Crown tomorrow (02/03/2017)

I'm a bit bogged down in moving what I've been working on into production but I'm hoping that both new services will be operational tomorrow.

Mongodb is a bitch, that is all.

i have to agree with many here, why make a Pre Ann if you are posting no info whatsoever? go ahead and give us all something to chew on or mull over for a while? but with what you posted it simply says your paranoid and haven't intentions of informing anyone of anything ever....
so why even make this pre ann?

If you have worked with coins101 before you will know that his ideas have been discussed for over a year now on BCT.  He has released whitepapers before which form a progression of his idea to the point it is at now.

Given that I have been part of these discussions and have been lucky enough to review his whitepaper, I wouldn't write this thread off just yet.

In any case, the bloke has a good reputation.  I doubt he is going to deliberately waste people's time. Don't be so quick to write this off until you have given him a chance to enlighten you. If you can't wait, maybe hunt down some of his previous research and you might learn something.

This is a shout out to the Tron operators and maybe miners  Grin out there not to dump on the market, but rather set sell orders and let new investors to buy in. The market is still very fragile as it is in its building phase and I would love to see more strong hands.

Just my two cents  Cool

My scripts place my throne earnings in sell orders on c-cex in the hope of providing a little boost to liquidity.  Its only a little contribution but every bit helps.

I am doing this as well, good to know I am not alone  Smiley

I haven't sold any for a while, I have people irl asking to buy direct from me, another 20k this weekend.
Trying to help as many people as I can avoid the low liquidity ccex tax Tongue

Good.

Maybe I am too idealistic - but I would like to see the Crown community a community of people who work together and not against each other on the market, I would like to see strong hand investors who believe in the future. If we work together and watch our backs this will be a strong project.  Smiley

In the meantime, we just keep delivering our promises and hopefully the market will wake up and provide some liquidity for people.

It will be interesting to see whether being on Bittrex will make a difference when the day comes.

When I think about what we have achieved in the last 3 months I'm feeling really optimistic.

  • The core team flew to a meeting in London to meet in real life and hold a workshop on development plans.
  • The Crown Whitepapers have been released, giving a feel for what we are aiming for (the moon, on a stick Wink )
  • Crown.tech has been redeveloped and is looking fantastic.
  • We've added several new members to the core team.
  • We've completed the Dash and BTC core updates, providing a solid foundation for us to blaze down our own development path.
  • We have released a brand new wallet.
  • We've launched an Android and iOS Tron monitoring app.
  • The community has launched its first Tron hosting service and we are hopeful to be announcing another one soon. Fingers crossed!
  • We are in final stages of testing an android wallet and ElectrumX.
  • We are making progress on CRW images  being available on various hosting platforms.  Think Docker, AWS etc
  • The core team have privately discussed and agreed a development path with various design and prototyping actions coming from that. These actions are underway.

I have a feeling that the next 3 months is going to be even more productive. I do know that we will hopefully have some nice announcements to make next month about CRW support in third party apps.

My unofficial but realistic wish list for the next 3 months:

  • Working prototypes of Crown Revolution with demos of API.
  • Get added to a new exchange.  Please, please make some noise on social media to draw attention to us from Bittrex. They are waiting to see if we have community support
  • Increased liquidity as the price rises to encourage more people to get involved.
  • First partnership with another company or project to assist with development of API

310 Trons online

I am glad Tron numbers are going up every day: 324 now, means almost 1/3 of the coins are locked and making money

I agree, its a nice thing to see but I'm sure the Tron number will drop for a while as soon as price rises and some people cash out. I hope that happens to be honest, its always good to have churn in your distribution.

Undecided

Does anybody know if we can get Yobit to delist us? They haven't updated their wallet for two major releases now and won't answer support tickets.

I don't want CRW supporters to lose coins and if they're always going to be this unprofessional I'd rather not have Crown on there at all.

I'm just starting to work with Hypermist to resolve the problem I found with our official block explorer a few months ago.

I couldn't work out how to handle burn transactions.

Hopefully we'll have a nice fully featured block explorer up and running in a few days.

This is awesome.

I remember the problem being the genesis block and or another issue around block 400,000 was it?

The only problem relating to the Genesis block that I have found is that I keep forgetting to update my scripts with the correct value which messes up the indexing process!

A problem between the chair and the keyboard rather than a chain issue.

That wasnt specifically related to crown. U misled the points raised by someone else and mistakenly came to a conclusion that there was a minor blemish in the crown codebase while they were talking about RENOS. Thats what made u bamboozled about non-existing flaw u urself pictured in ur imagination.

Sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about.

The problem is that Iquidus explorer does not not support burn transactions which means that the indexing process fails when it hits the first transaction that burns coins for the named address feature which is roughly block 400k.

Also, every now and then I think about the guy that lost 28000 Dash on a bet a few years back.  I don't know how he deals with that when he sees the price now.

And how he will deal with that when he sees future prices.  Shocked

What was that bet?

He was martingaling and hit a run that wiped him out, he's fine though, learnt the lesson, moved on with his life, bought a house last year and even swallowed his pride and got back in to DASH early last year, he's being successful and earns well in rl so built up a nice stake of masternodes again.

Nice to read it being said by somebody else after a character building period of my life.  Thanks mate.

Just realised I never replied to your last email, will do so shortly.  Sorry about that!

We're working on stonehedge too Smiley I'll keep you updated with how that goes, like i said quite a few members from the team put out for hashing, originally on infernopool, then on mmpool after i fell asleep and infernopool crashed lol...

stonehedge rented around the same as you did, so i'll keep an eye on his final losses. and base a payment for you off of his? I would like to make sure that nobody got killed too badly. we're all trying to make sure that losses we're minimal. and a bit of the dev funds is being used to keep everyone happy Smiley

Any news on this infernoman? Never did read anything more about it.

Hi.  I worked out my loss (took a while to work out how many coins I mined) and decided to ask for 50% compensation from the dev fund. I decided upon 50% because I already benefit from the fact I was protecting my own investment.  I received my compensation in the form of 8,933 CRW.

Hey stonehedge, have you had an opportunity to look at my pm by chance?

Hi, really sorry for missing that.  I don't get email notifications from BCT for some reason.

I'll read it now.

I still haven't had much luck in setting up a throne, I can't quite pinpoint why this is the case. I'm using ubuntu 16.10 and following the guide exactly. when I type throne list in debug console it shows up as enabled. However, when I type ./crown-cli getinfo in putty, it shows a 0 balance. looking through the block explorer it shows the throne has exactly 10000 crw associated with it.

If the throne is showing up in the list and crown-cli throne status shows the node is running just be patient, the rewards will come into your controller wallet with the 10000 coins in it.

How long would this take? I waited hours then typed ./crown-cli getinfo and it still shows a 0 balance. It shows up initially in the list then disappears after a period of time, I can only assume because it boots the node because it doesn't see 10000 crw attributed to it.

If your using the .10 guide from the OP, it tells you to set up hot and cold wallets.
The hot wallet(VPS) never has coins in it, the cold wallet (windows) is where your coins are stored.
Keep entering the start command.

never spam the start command as that could result in getting your node banned, you should be running a hot/cold node setup. the hot node contains the 10000 coins for the throne, as well as a throne.conf with the information in it pointing toward your cold node. The throne private keys from both the hot and cold node MUST match or your start command will not start your cold node.

When you start your cold node with
throne=1
throneaddr=IP:9340
throneprivkey=

and type "crown-cli throne status" you should see that the node is waiting for remote activation.
On your hot node setup your throne.conf using the example in that file. wait for the 15 confirmations to start your throne. then restart your hot node. and send the command to start your cold node.
when you use the throne.conf with a QT based wallet you should see a throne manager tab, which will give you access to all of the nodes in the throne.conf

I've folowed these guidelines without success. The cold node cannot communicste with the hot node. it initially shows as enabled then becomes missing before accepting payment as the hot node shows a 0 balance. Private keys are identical. Maybe the hot node's conf file is in the wrong spot?  I've tried sething it up a dozen times now

What time zone are you in? Let's set a time to chat (Skype, alack etc) to get this solved.

Pst/gmt -8, though I likely won't have time to look at it until late on Friday/Saturday evening. Mind if I send you a detailed pm going through my process to see if you can pinpoint any errors along the way?

No problem at all.
