While we are making our case to Poloniex, does anybody have any suggestions for alternative exchanges?  I like Bittrex but I really want us to have more than one exchange.

I'm just doing some research into the proportion of full Bitcoin nodes that are owned by coporations.  I'm starting to discover that Bitcoin is far more centralised than many people realise.  Will post my findings when I'm done.

Even the link is scaring the shit out of me.  Is there any way you can edit it so its not a hyperlink?

There's about 28000 coins being sold right now at 14016 sat on Bittrex

Those would be mine

Log a support ticket on the exchange.

I just did with the ones i see them being dumped at.

I am sick to my stomach

This happened to me about a year ago.  Not nice.  I'm sorry to hear this.

Are there new mining software ?

The hashrate had jumped tremendously, like 10x, it seems that small fish has almost no chance to hit a block anymore

2 dayton88
With solo mining finding block means just that - finding block. Last day I got 0 blocks with 2x750Ti ;/

There are optimised miners available from Wolf0 and SP.  Whilst they are very good, they don't account for the jump in hashrate.  We just have more people mining.

I'm always had the opinion that by preventing pools it will drive mining into the hands of the farm owners and make it difficult for small scale miners.  I don't know what the solution is but I wish it was possible to receive a reward for mining with one or two GPUs.

So will servicenodes be paid different rates depending on what services they provide?
For example, will a servicenode hosting a decentralised bitcoin block explorer be paid less than a service node hosting a decentralised bitcoin and namecoin block explorer?

How will the rates (the servicenode's pay) be decided?

Nothing has been finalised in regards to this as it will be refined in testnet.

However, I believe the starting point is going to be a maximum of 30% block reward with 15% going to a Bitcoin node and the remainder being split between the altcoins.

Obviously open to discussion within the community.

I would personally love to see a Bitcoin node being mandatory but georgem believes that Spreadcoin should not be in the position to choose which Bitcoin fork people run.

When will the new roadmap and OP be ready georgem?

I posted this on the last page, but I don't know if anyone will see it.

Are there any bounties that you need to get completed. (Video showcases or tutorials you want made)
I am really annoyed that I only have 2700 spr. I wanted to buy more today but I just can't seem to find a website to convert AUD into BTC easily (without having to verify an ID Ro anything). Does anyone know a way?

I can't think of any that are unclaimed at the moment but I expect that there will be plenty of guides needing to be created in the next few weeks.

From the everyday Joe's point of view, decentralised/centralised won't come into it. They won't really understand/care how it works as long as it works. Sorry just the way it is.

I tend to agree with you. It also turned out that most people don't care about anonymity.

Not to beat around the bush, that looks like conjecture masquerading as fact - is there any supporting evidence?

Cheers

Graham

No evidence for my views.  Its just interesting to see the decline in interest in the anon coins.

Being able to read and interpret the data of multiple chains in one client is the first step towards being able to bridge them. Service nodes can potentially be bridging points between chains ie send one coin, receive another.

Exciting stuff

When you say "being able to bridge them", isn't that what "Ripple/xrp" will do?  And MS is adding a Ripple validator node to Azure.

Why on earth would I touch that nonsense? WE do decentralized solutions.

I think the U.S.A foreign policy is nonsense, but I still buy/sell USD (I'd be stupid not too) aswell as CAD, GBP, BTC, LTC, XRP, SPR etc

From the everyday Joe's point of view, decentralised/centralised won't come into it. They won't really understand/care how it works as long as it works. Sorry just the way it is.

I tend to agree with you. It also turned out that most people don't care about anonymity.

Georgem, will one computer be able to run multiple service nodes?

No, one servicenode per IP only. (using port 41678).

Also every altcoin hosted can only exist once.

When UBA sees two coins with the same blockchain but different port, it will only consider one of them.
(the one that is using the official port for that coin)

So servers with multiple IPs will only be able to run only one service node?

Interesting idea, but is the data really worth enough to sustain and grow an industry ?

Coins101 and myself have some experience with similar data in other fields and we think that it will be worth similar in this context.

Having said that, there is only one way to find out for sure.

Congratulations Spreadcoin team!

I have no doubt Spreadcoin is in the good path to be one of the big ones.

Hey my Spanish connection friend  Grin

Many of you may not realise that a fair few of us were around Darkcoin during its very ealy vapourware stage and helped it on its way to top 5 fame and indeed fortune.

So, as they say around these parts, stay tuned.

Fond memories.  We've got a very strong team.  Can't wait for the community and team to grow.
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: January 08, 2016, 01:13:20 PM
we going to 60-100k

Really fast we'll go to 50K

If and only if microsoft will make a update to partner with spreadcoin it will reach much higher levels like x10 from now , look at emercoin, factom coin, Ethereum (but ethereum is great)

This is just an unsubstantiated rumour at this time but the Bitcoin data market will definitely be of interest to Azure in the future in my opinion.  I can't see it happening for at least 6 months if it happens at all.

Is spr also working on getting listed on other exchanges with some higher volume , a good option will be poloniex , awesome exchange.

This way you get more knowledge around the coin , cause just like me there are many who just dont trade on Bittrex and might miss the
coin.

SO to all people who are on poloniex , https://www.poloniex.com/coinRequest

Take 2 minutes to fill this in , you wont be dissapointed when it will hit there.

A few requests to Poloniex have been made including links to our whitepaper and various media articles but so far we haven't heard anything.

Anything that the community can do to help would be great.  I personally would love SPR on more than one exchange.
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: January 08, 2016, 10:36:01 AM
Why a hamster i must agree with some post before , nothing more professional available

I can understand this opinion but I don't see an issue with it.  The project will be judged on the service it will provide and the quality of development at first.  Besides, it won't take much to remove the images.

I'm sure georgem will include this in the updates later but one of the best things about the decentralised block explorer is that it is a logical stepping stone towards Proof of Bitcoin Node (or indeed "Proof of Any Coin").

By allowing people to run a variety of nodes on service nodes it allows us to test and work with different blockchains and therefore means that Spreadcoin doesn't have to pledge allegiance to particular forks.  For example, people will be able to receive income from running a standard Bitcoin node or a Bitcoin XT node as they see fit.

China's stock market looks like a crypto market!

Either that or the crypto markets look like the Chinese stock market!

Currently mining 2.850 Mh/s with R9 390. Is there a better sgminer release or do I have to deal with it? I would also like to know how to run a full node, I'll put it up ASAP. This cryptocurrency seems promising and I'd like to support it.

Wolf0 has created a better miner for AMD.  It goes like shit off a shovel.  I don't know how much it costs though.  I'd like a copy for myself.

EDIT:  One day in the future I'd like for the best miners to be freely available.  Its only fair that the devs who do the hard work creating new miners get some coins out of their efforts though.
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (official thread) on: January 04, 2016, 02:36:09 PM
And Belgium ?

That list is only based on the IP address of clients seen by a particular node in the last 24 hours so it is possible that some countries are missed off.
