You are correct in that we don't need to mention to people that they can use CPU miner. But in the future we should work on an update to embed the GPU miner into the wallet, and then it will make sense to mention mining again. Also: for upcoming testnet wallet the CPU mining process will ofcourse be relevant again because that's where our tSPR will come from. Just about to have some dinner. I'll have a think and be back later. GPU miner would be amazing. The only problem is that it takes quite a lot of tweaking to get the best out of a GPU...I wonder how hard it would be to have decent settings for most cards? EDIT: ^^ Interesting. A newbie account signed up just to troll cache and SPR whilst pretending to be Chinese.

Official Forum: Make that:
Technical Support
For all the links at the bottom we can make them look like that: "For the most up-to-date Downloads or News: Official Website" "For Tutorials and Technical Support: Official Forum" "For troll-infested chatter and amusing rants: BCT" something like that, I am not good with words... I really like these! I think they are perfect!

Can you seduce our eyes with more such oneliners please... we need one for the wallet, the vanitygen, the mining and the settings menu.
Can I have a copy of the new QT so I can see what is behind those buttons? An artist needs his muse...

"Welcome to SpreadCoin, the project that is building a network where any application or service can be run in a decentralised manner."
Hm... I have been starring at the sentence for 10 minutes. The only thing that bugs me a tiny little bit is the word "any". Can we change that to make it so that it rather includes keywords with a meaning like "modular" and "your own" (or similar), but not necessarily "any", because I can think of applications that can't ever run in a trustless or decentralized manner. Does it work like this? : "Welcome to SpreadCoin, the project that is building a network where any possible application or service can be run in a decentralised manner." This reinforces the notion that impossible applications can't run on our network, and leaves the door open for us to explain in the future what such a "possible" application has to look like. I think your version is better. Agree that mine implies that we can do anything with servicenodes and we aren't in the position to say that yet Go with it!

I can't think of a way to make that one liner better. I appreciate it doesn't capture the now but that's a job for project updates.
Maybe we could include a link to a thread on spreadcointalk for latest project updates instead?

I really like having the core fundamentals like block time etc somewhere within the wallet too.
Indeed, the question is just, do we want this information to go into the "Network Overview" constantly visible in the header? Or do we want to put it as secondary information in the not constantly visible overview page. So this is about priority. My vote is for secondary information but easily findable.

If it was perfect, it wouldn't need improvement Give me a few mins to bounce a few ideas around like a squash ball in my skull.

I like it, but still.... This is concentrating too much on the future, and not so much on what we already have achieved. I understand and respect your opinion on this but I also think a balance needs to be struck. In project management the short, mid and long term goals of a project should be advertised and agreed by the project sponsors who in this case are the open source community at large. Focussing on what we are doing right now is missing a chance to gain direction and support from the wider community in the future. I can't think of an argument for not mentioning what is on the roadmap in the wallet. I agree with that. I was just saying, your wording was focusing completely on the future. What I want is some balance that also mentions the present. If you could extend the wording ... Its a tricky balance! I think I need another coffee!

I've got in touch with a few people I know have had some chinese translations done recently. I'll let you know when I hear anything back. Run a Bitcoin node and get paid. Secure the network of the mothership and earn some coins. This is going to be awesome.

Not this again ! More hype for something so simple that every new shitcoin has upon release. Make some technical names up for standard things and say you created them....interesting, I will have to use that idea since other coins don't Lol, every time you post you expose a little bit more of your ignorance. Bump away, bump bitch!

The richlist is seeing a pretty unhealthy distribution at the moment, which may be a symptom of developmental delays. This is a tough coin to market at the moment, but i'm keeping the faith along with some btc on standby in the event we drop to .00003 again.
the richlist skewing has happened over the last month, im putting my guess into it being people who believe in this project, and therefor has been buying up, while some people who think everything can be build in a week have been loosing faith in it, and sold off that is the legacy with all those altcoins being released with one or 2 new things.. then die off... At today's prices the number 1 wallet is worth about 25 BTC. It would have cost less than that to buy. In real world terms, thats hardly Gordon Gecko territory. I appreciate that distribution is important for a number of reasons but just because one person, or a consortium of people, have faith in the project shouldn't be seen negatively imho. If the person or people behind the biggest wallet are in this for the long haul then it can only be a good thing . Its not as if an investor wants to crash their own investment.
