7661  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos - Request: Multisig addresses for treasurers on: May 16, 2019, 02:25:58 PM
~snip~
I've suggested previously to look for people who already have a very high reputation amongst the community and have a history of holding and returning large amounts of money in the past (people like Dooglus etc). People who are already multimillionaires and have businesses here with reputations to keep are unlikely to run off with money they've been entrusted with. Alternatively and to rule out any shenanigans, maybe it's better for thyemos to just hold the money himself in maybe a safe deposit box and get some sort of legal contract drawn up in case of his death (or whatever) that the money will then be sent to certain trustees or to certain trustees multisig walllets.
~snip~
This leaves a question for me.

What will be in the fate of this forum if any such thing accidentally happen? Is there anyone else well trained to take over the responsibilities or the forum will be gone with him?

Note: Long live theymos, stay in good health.

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
Glad to see this article. Just wondering if this was inspired by the recommendation I left here or you already had it in plan?

If the Windies side is in full strength, then they can easily beat Bangladesh. Despite being a test nation for almost two decades, BAN is just not up there. Their domestic structure is not very organized and even now they depend too much on the Dhaka club sides, rather than diversifying out of the capital city.
~snip~
Can you give me the line up of the full strength WI team?

Team like Bangladesh are not the little one anymore. If you are talking about domestic structure then I see West Indies is the team who is behind. You will find some good T20 players in them. Other than that they do not have ODI and test players at the moment.

Create new accounts and keep liking the posts. Easily can be abused.
Anyway, I think the board has talked about this kind of things thousand times :-D

Accounts need to be verified by phone or ID. If there is no verification, the present donation or sale of the film is still happening a lot.
You really needs to spend a lot of time to understand the forum culture. You are still too new to get everything that is going around here. :-D
Welcome to the BitcoinTalk forum.
7665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reached 8000 - and what next? on: May 16, 2019, 12:18:37 PM
May be $10k then $15k or $20k. I would not surprise if it cross $30k too.
Or may be $3k again?

It does not matter what the price is if you are a long hodler.

HODL!

Kiwis and Proteas are more or less same in terms of overall strength. They both are a very competitor in any format. so for me its tie between them.
I see it's gonna take time for me to find the third choice LOL
Why Pakistan is so unpredictable? :-P
7668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 16, 2019, 09:32:31 AM

Kiwis can surprise any team, Pakistan, Windies and Bangladesh have 0 chance IMHO.

But hey its Cricket and its a very funny game, who knows all top teams getting kick out by lower ranking team lol. its interesting scenario hehehe.
Are you following this tri nation series between West Indies, Ireland and Bangladesh. Seems like WI is a very average team in front of Bangladesh. Ireland is not even making any fight against any of them.

So, I will keep Bangladesh ahead then West Indies. I don't think the other added players will make any difference from Indies team. You need to remember that these players are very good T20 players but not in up to the mark for ODI.

Kiwis can be a good contestants but not enough I think. South Africa will be better than them.

99% chances are they are not going to win this world cup. 1% is in their favour if luck clicks on right moment. there bowling department is very good if not the best but Batting squad is not up to the mark except couple of batsmen.

Arguably its one of the weakest batting line up in their cricketing history. I would be very surprise if they win this world cup.
Then I have failed to pick my third choice for WC winner LOL. I won't go with Pakistan, West Indies, New Zealand may have chance but again not very much in their favor. Who else?

Bangladesh? LOL

England and India are in a much better position and have better chances in comparison.
England has their best team in this world cup.
If they can not win this one then I doubt they will ever win any.

The history is not with them to win this world cup by the way. The only achievement England has is to win T20 world cup. So, considering the history I will not give England any chance to win this time too.

Australia
England

- I will need to see some of the matches of South Africa to talk anything about them.

I have no idea how it's done but I have seen choosing your team function do not have any link with the match picks. So you will be fine.

Who’s gonna escrow?
I can Smiley
That's a lot of money when BTC will hit 1B :-P 🚀

I have said a similar thing in one of the previous thread related to this website. I am unable to find it now but what I said was - it is a viral marketing campaign where the end result will disappoint a lot of over enthusiastic people who thinks Satoshi can be found so easily!

Same thing happened! Some people dreamed for Mars but ended up nowhere! Mr. Satoshi is the creator of the most important technology of this era, so if he chooses to stay anonymous, we should respect this fact and stay out of such searching games!
These marketers will always try to use everything in their favor. They should have thought about the general emotion surrounding Satoshi's identity for the Bitcoin world. I bet they did not thought about this negative emotion that they are receiving now. The idea wasted in my opinion.

Karma :-P

I see no reason for anyone to get hurt here with what you said. Dig down this topic, some of the responses you will see has worse behaviors. We really need to go back to school to learn the basic manners. Some of the forum members has serious lacking of it.
7677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket World Cup 2019 Prediction Pool [Join FREE win x BTC] on: May 14, 2019, 05:04:55 PM
This is going to be really fun. I am expecting Ronnie to give a tough contest to everyone while Royse will give him tough competition as usual. Just a couple of weeks left before it all goes down people. This is going to be one heck of a ride!
Thanks bud however, not sure much because in this one I am expecting JSRAW, Pffrt and few others. They do have great cricketing knowledge. You too of course.

All I am hoping is that this will be hack of a pool with ups and downs. We all will remember it for the next few years before the next world cup.
7678  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: UNABLE TO UPDATE ELECTRUM WALLET on: May 14, 2019, 04:41:53 PM
I hope you have the backup of the wallet file (.dat). If not then make a copy and keep it in a safe place.

Now here are few things you can do:
1. Like OmegaStarScream said, if you have the seed (you should have) then restore the wallet with the seed.
2. Uninstall the current Electrum software then download it from the official website (https://electrum.org/#download). You must verity the downloaded file (https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/) before installing.
3. Paste the copied wallet file (.dat) in the wallets folder (....\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets) if it's not there. <== assuming it's windows system and you have installed the software in it's default directory.
4. Check if you have the CAPsLOCK on/off issue.

Good luck.

Edit:

Why don't you just tell them to edit their subject?
Yape.
OP: You may consider updating the topic title. It sounds like you are having issue while installing the Electrum software.
7679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Three of your favorite bookie/betting info sites? on: May 14, 2019, 04:33:17 PM
I don't mean the bookmaker companies!
Did you mean match analysis?
It depends on the sports type.

For football I will go with soccer punter
For cricket I will go with espncricinfo
