1801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LN: Bitcoin could theoretically scale beyond VISA. on: July 14, 2018, 05:09:44 AM
anything new is very hard to get introduced especially to bitcoin which is very set in it ways

true, but Lightning Network is going to work on top of bitcoin, it doesn't need you to change any of your "ways". you just have to install a new application (an LN node app) if you wanted to use it and if not you can continue your "ways" as before.
and it is already happening, LN has grown huge even though it is still in testing phase.
1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Ico Projects Solving Problems Of Humanity? on: July 14, 2018, 05:01:28 AM
when you read about the ICOs like reading their topic, website and paper, you can see that they are solving a lot of issues. many of which are interesting. but when you check out their projects and see what they are really doing you can see that it was all fake and only a way of advertising their shitty token to make money from gullible people.
so far not a single ICO has done anything but raise money, dump and go away.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The next ripple on: July 13, 2018, 06:31:15 AM
usually coins with smaller price (lower than 1000 satoshi) can get pumped a lot more than the coins with higher price (the higher the harder to pump). so literary anything that has a low price is a potential big pump coin like XRP was.
but the problem is that you have to try to find out WHEN it is going to get pumped. it may stay idle with no pumps for over a year then get pumped 1000% in 2 days. the trick is finding the starting point of those 2 days and getting on board then (not a minute sooner) and then getting out before the pumping is over to secure your profit before they start dumping it down.
1804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Crypto Market Gets Dump Again? on: July 13, 2018, 06:14:30 AM
because contrary to popular newbie belief, the altcoin dumping had never ended. they kept telling you that it is ended because they wanted you to buy or place buy orders,... so that they can dump more of that altcoin on your orders and make a bigger profit. otherwise we still need altcoins to go a lot lower than this until they get out of their bubbles and reach their bottoms.

unfortunately the consequences of these altcoin dumps will also affect bitcoin price.
1805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ETH - a little tech analysis on: July 13, 2018, 05:59:28 AM
there is only two things i can say about this,
the line you drew on the chart is too random. it has no "technical analysis" in it, specially the horizontal line that you are determining the "bottom" from it.
also when you are talking about a manipulated market there is no way of predicting anything. ETH has been pumped and the value that it has right now is the pumped value which is a lot higher than its real value. if anything TA points to a higher bottom but reality tells you the bottom is a lot lower than that but also there may be another couple of millions thrown at it to prevent its crash at some point.
1806  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC new ATH in 2018 on: July 13, 2018, 05:54:17 AM
i still believe that the downtrend that we saw this year is not going to last long as i have said from the early days of it. and that is mainly because most of the rise of last year was genuine unlike the 2013 one which people love to compare it to and also because the market is a lot bigger now and there are a lot more buyers in it.
but at the same time i still don't see bitcoin setting a new ATH in 2018 because there simply isn't enough time for it and bitcoin is not some pump and dumps shitcoin that you keep seeing in altcoin board every day.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Kardashian Theory on: July 13, 2018, 05:39:06 AM
once upon a time there was this new thing created called bitcoin. it was a currency and people started adopting it so its price went up. at first others were laughing at it. then it started gaining more momentum and everyone saw that there is power in that decentralized currency system so the same people who were laughing at it started craving that power and wanted to control it. so they started their slow creep in. they have infiltrated everywhere, started wearing their sheep skin while being a wolf underneath.
they tried gaining control of bitcoin, they failed, they tried again, they were pushed back, they tried again and again and failed each time so they created their own version of bitcoin by copying the original bitcoin and calling it bitcoin-cash. again they saw their failure as nobody paid their creation any heed more than trading it on exchanges and enjoying its pump and dumps. so they started attacking bitcoin again and trying to show bitcoin is not bitcoin by calling it a different name: bitcoin-core, bitcoin-segwit,... two-side-of-same-coin,... and they have been failing still.
1808  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Timelocked transactions? on: July 13, 2018, 05:27:54 AM
Seems like a feature that was introduced in Bitcoin for no reason.

so you don't know the use case of TimeLock and you don't even use google search, but your first conclusion is that "it was added for no reason"!!! that's not normal human behavior!

here is the first result for searching "bitcoin timelock transaction" keyword on google: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Timelock it explains where it is used and why it was added to bitcoin.
1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am losing money so I drank 10 beers so far and ordered pizza and KFC! on: July 11, 2018, 05:56:36 AM
that only proves that you are a terrible investor who has no idea what to do in the market under different circumstances. you only expect the prices to go up and whenever they don't you start becoming inactive instead of continuing your trades and activity in the market!!!
in other words you are only gambling here and getting mad when your bets don't pay off. a real trader would not even care when the price drops because they always have a plan and know what to do during drops, hint: they also make profit then.
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the market is currently green, whether you buy or sell crypto on: July 11, 2018, 05:50:59 AM
the important thing to remember is that the altcoin dumps have not yet ended and that means whenever you see some small green on the market you should still remain scared because every single time we see a green it is followed by a big dump right afterwards as the whales wait for the buy orders to be placed during that dead cat bounce period then dump into them to be able to get the most amount of money out.
1811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum is clogged up this past few days? on: July 10, 2018, 03:59:00 PM
it is simply because Ethereum network is not designed to handle large number of transactions. it is designed to only handle small number of them and only be advertised as having the capability to do more. but whenever the reality hits and some ICO or some other kind of smart contract like that game crypto kitties is run on this platform it shows the real flaws in it and fails miserably.
1812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Prices Down? on: July 10, 2018, 03:49:23 PM
these exchange hacks are the best things that can happen to us. it is teaching the newcomers not to trust exchanges, more like reminding everyone. and also it is cleaning the market from the weak hands and on top of all that it is bursting the altcoin bubbles since each time the altcoins get dumped hard.

i also agree that this fall is an altcoin-induced fall. and you can clearly see it on the rate that altcoins (more importantly ETH that was hacked) is falling compared to the rate and size that bitcoin has been during the same time frame.
I see both bitcoin and the ethereum is falling at the same rate but I still can't find the reason behind the fall of the prices when there is a bump happening with the crypto market it comes along with the serious dump which is likely to be followed since the price fall starts from $20K

ETH wen down from $486 to $434 which is a %10.6 drop
while bitcoin went down from $6710 to $6370 which is a 4.9% drop how are these two the same rate?

the reason as it was mentioned earlier is the panic sell due to some new exchange called Bancor being hacked. 90% of the people selling have never even heard of this exchange before. and they stole ETH from them which is another reason why ETH is falling faster. here is their twitter: https://twitter.com/Bancor
1813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin the time last year, bitcoin this time this year on: July 10, 2018, 03:39:48 PM
it seems like nobody ever checks the charts around here!
last year this time price was above $2500. in fact it was falling from the ATH of that time which was $2980 and went down to $1830 in a huge correction (-39%) which ended on July 17. and July was closed pretty much around the same price that it started (around $2500).

besides none of that matters. it was last year and now we are in a new chapter. price of July 2018 is more like the bottom and accumulation phase which marks the end of the bear market.
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emotional day trading on: July 09, 2018, 05:44:37 AM
you shouldn't report the "amount" you lose but instead the "percentage" that you lose because saying you lost $1500 doesn't mean anything. you may have been trading with $1600 and lost $1500 of it or you may have been trading with $15000000 and lost $1500 of it. there is a big difference between these two! the first one shows you are not a trader but a gambler who lost money and the second one shows that you had a small loss which is a normal thing in trading.

anyways, in case of day trading like any other form of trading you have to know what you are doing. the choices are just as important as any other trade you make.  and in case of day trading you should be on top of your orders not set and go away. you should know what to do  when the market turns against you, how to handle it, when to handle it (aka when to sell when to wait and when to buy). most people do it randomly like they are gambling and call that "day trading"!!!
1815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the reasons why you must take risk in crypto market? on: July 09, 2018, 05:26:42 AM
taking risks is one thing, being reckless is another.

when it comes to trading you are taking risks whether you want it or not. but you can take a more calculated risk by using your head. for example there are very simple guidelines you can follow to reduce the risks you are taking which is similar to "calculated risks". like not investing more than you can afford to lose, not investing in things that the "internet" tells you but choosing them yourself based on your experience instead. not investing in shitcoins that are already pumped and are in a bubble at the peak of the pump getting ready for the dump.
1816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market? Will NEVER HAPPEN because of increasing # of unretrievable bitcoin on: July 09, 2018, 05:18:17 AM
You knuckleheads still don't get that the supply gets lower and lower as we speak.

every day about 1800 new bitcoins are being created. so unless you mean to tell us that every day also at least 1800+1 bitcoin is lost, the supply is increasing! Wink

Indeed I used the world "prolongued" but looks like 90% of people in this board are pajeets who can't speak the freaking English language.

your title says "bear market will never happen" not a "prolonged bear ....".
also as far as i remember you define bear market as a "3 year correction of price" so according to your prediction a prolonged bear market must be 10 years! you  can't really blame others for not understanding what you yourself are confused about...
a bear market, which is a prolongued (3 years +) correction of crypto prices,
1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Bitcoin lose value so fast in early ? on: July 09, 2018, 05:08:55 AM
The price of bitcoin fell low when the market goes under the surveillance of the governments around the world. Some initiated strong regulations for usage, while some countries ban its acceptance and usage. This decreased the circulation and new investors feared of it and next, price being highly volatile too a big issue with people who doesn't find the best of being volatile fear of getting into cryptocurrency.

i disagree.
mainly because what you call "surveillance of the government" is not a new thing. all the drama about it has been with us from the start. and most of it has been exaggerated by the FUDsters.
also because this type of fall is not even new! someone who found out about bitcoin in 2017-2018 may see it as a new thing but if you look at the whole chart instead of past couple of years you can see that this is pretty common. price goes up fast and big then it comes down hard like this and whenever it does the panic sellers make it even worse for a while before we hit the bottom and reverse back up.
1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has created the the perfect storm: Bulls! on: July 09, 2018, 04:50:42 AM
based on your post history you are basically doing the same thing as the FUDsters but in the opposite direction and it is just as pointless as them repeating "bitcoin is dead" if you ask me! the effects will only be on some brainless newbies but they don't have any effect on the market. the price in the market moves on its own accord.

but yeah, bitcoin is on the rise. it is not a bull run by any means and it will take some time for it to turn into a bull run, initially the first resistance at $7k needs to be broken and some fears need to exit.

Chinese money is coming into Bitcoin for this reason:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/this-years-selloff-in-chinese-markets-isnt-like-2015-it-looks-worse-1530869403

Your lucky I share info with you after your bad comment!

The above is a theory of mine.

In addition the chances of an ETF approval is high!

just because Chinese stock market is not doing well and they are dumping it doesn't mean they will magically switch to bitcoin and start buying that. there are still restrictions for regular investors to do that, so they have to do OTC trading which is not the favorite thing for everyone and even if they do it ,it won't affect the price because it is off the market.

same with ETFs, it will surely be a big hype but that is not the reason for bitcoin price rises. hypes are only short term. the real rise of bitcoin is with more adoption and that is a slow process. right now the price is rising mainly because of the strong buy support that it had at $6k (the bottom) and the fact that we have already had enough bear market for this round.
1819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you send ether with zero gasprice? on: July 08, 2018, 05:52:51 AM
Asking if you can send ETH with 0 gas price is basically like asking if you can drive a car with no petrol,it's just impossible.. Gas is what powers transactions in the Ethereum network and it is a fundamental need when you want to push a transaction in the blockchain.

I agree. This is exactly what my friend told to me, although I haven't tried it out yet. I have a few successful transactions to my wallet with very low GWEI (2 to 3), but constant gas (21,000).

actually that is a foolish comparison!
a car requires gas/petrol and without it the car won't run. but a transaction is processed by a miner and the miner can choose to ask for gas/fee or do it for free. in other words it IS possible to send a transaction with 0 gas and even have it confirmed.
in fact if you read the topic before posting you can see someone posted the link to a bunch of transactions that have been confirmed with 0 gas https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2554655.msg34048631#msg34048631
1820  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Crypto bulls knocking the door? on: July 08, 2018, 05:40:13 AM
or will continue to downside.

we have seen the price try and go "downside" multiple times now, 3 of which have been major downtrends with huge dumps and a lot of panic sell. suffice it to say that each time the downtrend has faced with a strong resistance at the buy supports around $6k and could not go below that price and stay there for long. it bounced back each time so you can not even expect it to go lower anymore.

we may not be on a bull run yet either. this to me looks more like 2015 where price was at the bottom @$220 and it was stuck there not moving. and the slow rise began slowly with everyone confused whether it is a bull run or not.
