1741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should NOT determine the market on: August 01, 2018, 05:13:11 AM
I think it's not a good thing if the whole market price is influenced by the Bitcoin price, there must be a solution to make the crypto market more decentralized where Bitcoin prices do not swing the market up and down there must be some kind of better system than if we just created a system that is just the same as the current fiat system we have in which the most trusted asset determines the whole market.

it is not bitcoin's fault that altcoins are useless in real world.
that means the only usage that altcoins have and the only purpose they serve is to be traded by speculators so that they can make more profit on their fiat and bitcoin. when this happens, people abandon the altcoins as soon as bitcoin is making a move to go back to the only thing they really care about.
if you want this to change then you have to change altcoins and start creating altcoins that are actually useful in real world.
1742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about waves? on: July 31, 2018, 06:15:19 AM
there are a couple of problems that is preventing it from going up.
first and foremost is the fact that there is a market wide altcoin dump going on and people are taking their profit out while the bag holders are left hanging on to value diminishing "portfolios".
but also another big reason is the fact that there are other similar platforms as Waves (basically the smart contract part) and those are a lot more hyped than Waves. like ETH or NEO. and that means there is not much room for Waves to perform in this market.
1743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when cryptocurrencies can be used to buy basic needs? on: July 31, 2018, 05:53:21 AM
when the things that are being released started becoming cryptocurrencies instead of being useless things created and only used to be pumped and dumped so that people can make profit from the manipulation process and out of gullible newbies pockets.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much return I can expect from investing in IvyKoin? on: July 31, 2018, 05:26:23 AM
it depends on how good you are with riding the pump and dump waves. so it can be from -100% (meaning losing all your investment and going to zero) up to 10000% (since it usually is the maximum amount an altcoin can get pumped to).

for example last year there were coins that got pumped about 7000% but that doesn't mean people made that much profit. there are many who actually lost money in these coins. but those who bought it before the pump or at least in the early stages and then got out before the dumping began made the most profit.
1745  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC holding it's own trend? on: July 31, 2018, 05:10:10 AM
Watching the markets closely and I find it interesting that while BTC has been trending up slightly over the past week, the majority of other alts are down or just wavering...could this be why BTC is trending up? Everyone is focusing on that? I thought it was interesting as normally we see everything move in tandem together but this time I'm not sure whether to invest in any alts given they seem to be going their own way...
There is also a lot of alts that is good for investment. At the moment bitcoin is good for a short investment. Why? Because the price is not stable, it decreasing at any moment then after that it increases.

you can never say an altcoin is a better investment than bitcoin at any time under any circumstances because if you think bitcoin has unstable price then you already know that altcoins are at least 10 times more unstable. so if your criteria for a good investment is to be stable then you shouldn't even go near altcoins.
not to mention that technically a good investment is something that has lower risk but higher reward. in case of altcoins the risk is extremely high because they are not only not-stable but also they are heavily manipulated which makes them even more unpredictable.
1746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does RBI softening their stance with bitcoin? on: July 31, 2018, 04:50:19 AM
The rupee is inflated and buying bitcoin in India has been popular for awhile. Government can't "ban" it because people already use anonymous exchanges to buy and sell bitcoin there. Unless they want to claim everyone is a criminal and try to find how everyone stores private keys...good luck.

The problem for the government and banks in India is that the corruption has gone on for decades and won't stop without something like bitcoin becoming currency.

that corruption is exactly why they are creating road blocks for bitcoin's adoption. and this has been going on at least 2 years now. i believe it mainly started when they invalidated their large bank notes back in 2016 and there was chaos in the country and people couldn't have access to their own money because of this and many started their exit, some through bitcoin.
1747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ANOTHER BULL MARKET IMPENDING on: July 29, 2018, 05:44:34 AM
why are you posting this in the altcoin board when you want to speculate about bitcoin price?!!

and just because some trend happened once last year it doesn't mean the same thing should be repeated now too. and the rise didn't start at this time last year. it was already ongoing by now and price had risen more than 100% by this time last year and was still rising.
investors aren't looking at the month of the year when they invest. they instead look at the market and see where it is and if they see an upcoming rise they invest. it can be in July, it can be in January or it can be any other months.
1748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At what cost do you think bitcoin will maximize? on: July 29, 2018, 05:25:27 AM
the word is price not "cost". and you are posting in a wrong board.

stop looking at the price and start looking at the charts and also the percentage of the changes that are happening for a moment and you will have a much better idea about what has been happening. for example the "drop" you are talking about was a small 3-4% drop which is in the realm of daily fluctuations of bitcoin price and it is perfectly normal. in fact other assets (real ones like stocks,...) have about 1-2% fluctuations per day so bitcoin having 3-4% is actually considered pretty stable.

there is no way you can say where the rise will end after the mass adoption. but most speculators predict it is somewhere above $1 million.
1749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Run Over? Mati Greenspan Reveals a Shocking Analysis on: July 29, 2018, 05:17:16 AM
Wait what? The article didn't mention any reasons why the theoretical bull run may be over.

that is what click-bait sites like the one that OP has been advertising in almost every post he has made so far. they copy paste some stuff from around the internet add an interesting title to it and press publish. then the army of advertises post the links all over the internet to generate traffic.
1750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralized Success on: July 28, 2018, 05:37:15 AM
well it depends mainly on how you define "success".

for example for many the success of some altcoin is when it is pumped the most and gives them the biggest profit. for instance Ripple that you mentioned had one of the biggest pumps of last year but also a lot of other dead coins that you may not even have heard their names like Panda, Moon, Html, Arie,... got the same size pump or even bigger. which makes them all successful with that definition!

but another way of defining "success" is its real adoption and usage in real world as a currency. and since that has not yet happened and will never happen for centralized coins such as Ripple, then there won't be any success for them.
on the other hand coins created by the government directly or banks for that matter may be used so you can call that a success.
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what kind of projects you'd like to invest on: July 28, 2018, 05:25:36 AM
what i really like to invest in is some real cryptocurrency that is actually focusing on acting as a decentralized currency like bitcoin does and has positive sides to it when you decide to use it.

but when it comes to reality i am never able to find something like that so i always stick with bitcoin because that is the real thing for me.
and then i focus on the altcoins only with pump and dumps in mind and only do it to make profit. so i look for the coins that have a better chance of getting pumped hard. these can be small coins or big coins but the important thing to look for is whether they are at the bottom or not.
1752  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long will this bull run be? on: July 28, 2018, 05:10:49 AM
I'm saying right now we're at like where the market was mid-2015. The bottom has been hit several times for a good amount of time and the bears just can't bring it any lower, and now sentiment is shifting and people are starting to get excited again. It certainly could head back down for one more turn at the 6000s in the early Fall but we might also find ourselves at $10k by early Fall.

We could be in mid 2015 or at not even beginning. If it will go to $6k again will go lower and that will be bottom. If that will happen it will happen really soon.

not nessasarily!
people were saying the exact say thing about the previous 2 drops too. basically they were saying that if we go back to $6k again then it will drop more and go to something like $3k and each time price went to $6k and started a strong rebound.
and this time this trend looks more like a strong reversal than just a small recovery.
1753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will you do ? on: July 28, 2018, 04:59:28 AM
it doesn't matter how much coins you get. what matters are the following:
- how much profit % can this investment give you
- how much risk does that investment have
- how possible it is that you see a loss
- and finally how big that loss can be

looking at the history and the potential, i would say bitcoin without a doubt. it has the biggest potential because unlike altcoins including eth, bitcoin has real usages which is actually growing with its real adoption. and the risk of investing in bitcoin is a thousand times smaller than the risk of investing in altcoins.

and finally for me it comes down to knowing the enormous supply that ETH has and also the fact that there is no limit to this supply, it will continue to grow out of hand. supply and demand is one of the most dominant rules in any market.
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Market Manipution- How To Curb It? on: July 28, 2018, 04:52:54 AM
With the ETF application rejection of the Winklevoos twins yesterday, the main reason given for the rejection was market manipulation.

WRONG.
it would have been a market manipulation if price fell extremely low for example down back to the bottom at $6000 but instead what happened was a tiny drop  of about 4% and the reason for that was because the market is filled with newbie kids who don't know how things work. they saw the words "ETF" and "reject" and decided to press the big red panic button. and they paid for it with their losses.
1755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Gallup Poll Shows Only 2% of American Investors Own Bitcoin on: July 28, 2018, 04:47:08 AM
the data is only from a small group and they are investors to begin with so 2% can be a correct value. but it in no way represents  the whole population or the whole world. when you look at a larger scale then it does not even reach 1% and so far the data (which is from 2017) was during one of the bigger bull runs that bitcoin had and lots and lots of pumps, hypes, advertisements of altcoins which attracted investors even for a short time.
1756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you Alarmed of the Recent Hacking Incidents in some Exchange? on: July 27, 2018, 05:56:02 AM
this is nothing new. if you check the history it is filled with exchange hack cases, some of them more serious than others and usually they are inside jobs or the exchange itself scamming its users out of their money!

in any case this is not about "nothing is safe on the internet" it is about exchanges not being safe and it is their own fault that they get hacked and the users shouldn't pay for their mistakes. in other words we need exchanges that guarantee the safety of trader's funds instead of making them pay for their mistakes in case of a hack.
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price strengthen for this week, and this time it didn't quickly crash. on: July 27, 2018, 05:14:05 AM
i am always surprised to see what some people expect from bitcoin market. i don't know what they think is happening over there that they expect weird "crashes" just because price went above some arbitrary number in their heads.

and the weirder part is that they consider rise as strength where in fact the strength was when price was not rising and was at the bottom being accumulated by the whales. and the biggest strength was when price could not break the bottom buy support at $6k and stayed above it  because of the massive buying power that exists there.

otherwise when the rise starts obviously everyone comes back and a lot of FOMO buyers come back too which makes it easy to go back up. that is not the real strength in the market.
1758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Great run with Bitcoin! on: July 27, 2018, 05:08:28 AM
$10,000 is a short-term target. The gap between $8,400 and $10,000 is not very large, but it reflects the confidence of the market. So $10,000 is a breakthrough for the market.

it is not large in any sense at all!
from $8400 to $10000 is only a small step of 19% rise which can even happen in a couple of hours but will probably take a couple of days. the problem is not going from $8400 to $9800ish the problem is going the last about $200 to break the $10k resistance otherwise from about $7k to $9.8k there is no much resistance in my opinion based on what we have seen from previous pushes.
1759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: SIMPLE INFO FOR NEWBIE BEFORE TRADING IN THE WORLD CRYPTOCURRENCY on: July 27, 2018, 04:54:37 AM
MEW is an altcoin wallet not a bitcoin and if you want to trade altcoins you don't need an altcoin wallet you just need a secure bitcoin wallet preferably cold storage like paper wallet and an exchange account where you trade the pump and dump altcoins and then transfer the profit you make to your bitcoin cold storage for long term holding.
1760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what if market bulls again and never falls, will be become a billionaire? on: July 26, 2018, 05:25:08 AM
why do you think "the market" is one entity that moves together?!!

there are nearly 2000 different coins in this "market" that you are talking about. and each of them are individual projects and are affected by different factors. for example a coin with unlimited supply and a huge circulating supply and no usage can not just go up and stay there! it will get dumped and come down.

can you become a billionaire? of course but only if you sell before the dump of that pumped shitcoin comes otherwise you will see the value increased on your "screen" and then continue watching it evaporate slowly until you go broke again.
