1921  Economy / Speculation / Re: 6th date is special for Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2018, 06:00:08 AM
this was an interesting theory and it was discussed by a couple of other users in speculation board also but the problem is that there is a lot of exceptions to this "trend" that doesn't make it look like a trend at all. for instance you can see the 6th of this month is already past but we didn't have any kind of reversal yet.
1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will the crypto-currency market become mature? on: June 08, 2018, 05:55:05 AM
market consists of investors, market on its own won't mature unless the people in it (aka investors) mature. and each time we see a huge market wide pump we also see a lot of kids coming in with their money to invest in the pump and dump schemes and ICO scams. as long as this is the case we  can not expect any kind of maturity.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to excel as a crypto enthusiast on: June 07, 2018, 06:08:00 AM
patience is overrated and the fact that newbies keep repeating it  these days that the altcoins are getting dumped on them proves that the altcoin market mostly consists of bag holders who are just hoarding useless tokens and then hold on to them tight even while they are losing big percentages of their investment.
1924  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Visa&Bitpay on: June 07, 2018, 05:44:58 AM
Bitpay is not based on blockchain technology! as a matter of fact it is nearly the same thing as VISA, a centralized transaction processor. the only difference is that Bitpay is working with bitcoin but VISA is working with fiat.
as a result a similar problem can happen to Bitpay for example if their servers go down  or something like that.
1925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Rewards From Mining - Still Economically Viable? on: June 07, 2018, 05:38:31 AM
If you has some Asic miners then it would be easier to sell your equipment, and save yourself from all the problems of mining, then buy and hold Bitcoins from the earnings received from the sale. Hahaha.

I believe, in due time, that happens to most small scale miners upon realization that they will lose money.

that depends on whether they are actually losing money and also depends on how much.
for example if the average price of 1BTC is $7500 and it costs somewhere around that price like $7450-$7550 to mine one bitcoin then they are not losing money they are in fact making profit. specially with bitcoin price  rising in long term so instead of paying $7500 to buy bitcoin today you spend $7500ish on mining it.
but i don't think the reality is like that. the profit is a lot more than just a small margin.  it costs a lot less to mine bitcoin still. that is one of the reasons why the hashrate is still rising.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Binance delist Quarkchain and be investigated for listing it! on: June 06, 2018, 06:42:36 AM
if we start delisting every shitcoin that is scam from exchanges then only bitcoin and litecoin will remain on exchanges. and when it comes to tokens things become even worse. they all need to be removed.

Binance and Quarkchain will most probably be investigated by the SEC over this!

SEC does not bother with these things. and if they bother, they will ban all the tokens and majority of altcoins altogether.

Binance is also Chinese!

they moved their headquarters to Malta (Europe).
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins are brands? on: June 06, 2018, 06:29:47 AM
it is somewhat true. the name of a coin can be considered a "brand" but not legally though because a brand as far as legality goes belongs to a product of a company and cryptocurrencies are not like that.

but there are many similarities. a coin name represents what it does. like bit-coin.
a good name can help the acceptance of that coin and a bad one can ruin it (example: RaiBlocks versus Nano which is a much better name).
1928  Economy / Speculation / Re: In China, A Rumor Can Change the Market on: June 06, 2018, 06:26:27 AM
"rumors" are affecting any market anywhere in the world. it is not just bitcoin and China that are affected by it. the only difference is that when it comes to a smaller market, a rumor can affect it much more than it can affect a bigger market.
for example rumors of a company going bankrupt can crash its stocks price. it doesn't matter if that  company is in US or in China or anywhere else. it depends on how that rumor is spread and if it is a good one. not every random thing  said by a random person is effective.
1929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the “Last Thing I’d Want to Own” if Grid Goes Down: Short Seller on: June 06, 2018, 06:11:00 AM
that article is just full of shit specially because of its crappy source.

basically this is what that dude is saying:
"if there is an Apocalypse he would rather hold food instead of bitcoin".

to that i say "no shit"! it is like saying "does a drowning man prefers holding bitcoin or having a life jacket that saves his life"!!!
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's up with Quarkchain?13x in a day! on: June 05, 2018, 05:58:35 AM
it is just a pump, in fact it is one of the good examples of the pumps that i always talk about. there are a lot of different reasons for each of these pumps which don't matter at all, we just have to know that they are happening all around us and there is a lot of good profit to be made from these pumps like this one here. you just have to watch the market every day to see which coin is the hottest one of that particular day so that you can jump on board and enjoy some part of the ride towards the peak of the bubble. and then make sure to dump that shit before others do.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the good way to earn with Altcoins? on: June 05, 2018, 05:52:28 AM
the best way to earn money using altcoins is still to trade them in short terms. and that is thanks to the pumping nature of these altcoins which means they can suddenly go up in value with no reason and this upward movement is going to be a huge one each time it happens.
but you also have to be extra careful not to get caught up in the hype of the pump and always make sure to sell the coins you bought before the dumping comes down on your head and you lose all your money and efforts.
1932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cannot be reached 20000$ this year?? on: June 05, 2018, 05:36:08 AM
it will not hit $ 20k this year because bitcoin may be lowered due to miners and investors holding lots of bitcoins and being sold because of the high price that causes lower value for bitcoin today, perhaps the next few years will cost $ 20k to hit it.

i actually believe that if price doesn't go to $20k this year then it won't be because people (all the ones you mentioned) are selling. but instead it will be because the price is kept down and pushed towards a much longer bear market.
we have seen that market was ready to end the bear trend at least three times now but  each time it was met with a strong and well executed dumping to keep the price down. of course things like this can not last forever but until the day demand grows stronger than the manipulation we will remain in this trend and below the ATH.
1933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoin and buys bitcoin pioneering says on: June 05, 2018, 05:26:49 AM
this is just another attempt by  some random dude on the internet to advertise the shitcoins that he is holding. nothing more. they always do it this way thinking the real investors won't notice. they talk about bitcoin first and how you should have it and how it will go up just to make people quote them, and then in their bullshit they include the names of the altcoins they are bag holding and wish to go up so that they can dump and  get out of them.
1934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: White paper evaluation on: June 03, 2018, 06:57:59 AM
first of all you don't need a new forum to do that. you can do it with a new topic in this board!

secondly it is not really a useful idea in my opinion because the idea about ICO is not good to begin with. the papers aren't going to show you anything more than they really are. even if it is the best written paper with the best ideas in it, in the end they will create another useless token and add it to thousands of others before them.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic loss me 10800$ , so patient is the key on: June 03, 2018, 06:50:57 AM
so in this story if i could wait 3 days , i have profit of 10000 USD. so in this case i am saying please be patient. wait wait. good coins always give a good reward to you

i think the real question here is:
would you have created this same topic if a different scenario which is also the common one happened? for example if after you sold your IOTX @ 0.00004800 ETH price went down to 0.00000100 ETH would have created this topic saying how super lucky you are that you sold your coins and prevented $15,800 loss?
1936  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today (June 2nd) is the crucial day for end of downtrend on: June 03, 2018, 06:36:50 AM
price reached $7700 (on bitstamp) and nothing happened.

these are critical days only because we are in a wedge that we don't know which way it is going to go and when it comes to bitcoin it can go anywhere even if the chart is showing you some other possibility.
i say we need to see the $8k level before starting to get excited and talk about where it is going to go or we need to see the $7000 be broken if we are to talk about possibility of drops. otherwise get comfortable here with small ups and downs.
1937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9 Misstatements you'll hear about Bitcoin on the media on: June 03, 2018, 06:30:07 AM
But on the 7th facts, we can deny that's the truth.
Many people used bitcoin to hide their money from money laundry or money that they get from robbery.
I said this because this is from facts.
But bitcoin is not created for crime, just people misused it.

just saying something is from "facts" doesn't make it a fact nor true. from my perspective this statement here is just your pure guess.
of course there are always people who use bitcoin for illegal activities but  calling it "many people" is not correct unless you have real evidence to support it.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Drops Below $ 550 on: June 02, 2018, 06:59:49 AM
ethereum is one of the altcoins that have been struggling after its pump and the struggle becomes harder every day that its price goes lower and people panic more and dump more. this is what happens when you over pump an altcoin like this they attract a lot of bag holders who will continuously but slowly dump their coins on the market and make their exit to save their investment funds.
1939  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new ATH on: June 02, 2018, 05:22:35 AM
Bitcoin is not going to reach $20k again, and if that happens at some point, it wont be during this year just like many people is thinking that it is going to be in here.  I have already assumed that.

Im sure it will happen one day. I debate with myself when it will happen. I too don't think it will happen this year, as Bitcoin usually goes through these long bear markets after exponential price increases. However, Bitcoin has had significantly more coverage this year, and everyone knows about it now. Things will be very different this time around.

I'm personally just hoping for more fiat pairs. It's annoying that everytime bitcoin falls everything else also falls. It's not healthy for the market so before bitcoin can reach the ATH again I hope we have more fiat pairs.

just having the pairs may not solve anything at all. people need to first want to use those pairs then after that the altcoins should become stand alone REAL projects not just a useless token that you use to increase your bitcoin.
so far the sole purpose of the whole altcoin market has been a speculation place for people to go and invest their "bitcoin" to make profit on it. and that is the main reason why altcoins drop each time bitcoin drops.
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the Spirit folks, this is how you will get bitcoin killed on: June 02, 2018, 05:11:30 AM
there are always idiots around. idiots who make dumb advertisements like that and idiots who think these things can kill bitcoin.

will not just get the bitcoin even more unpopular as it will be seen by many as arrogant.
someone who doesn't have the brain to understand the difference between bitcoin and the person making that sign should really stay away from bitcoin and if you say they will then that much better.

Quote
it will create more and more cryptocurrencies, cryptocurrency indexes and so on.
a lot of shitcoins are being  created already, they are not waiting for a sign to start doing so. they are doing it to make money by pump and dumping that shitcoin.

energywasting bitcoinsect
another dumb statement which was argued to death and yet it is repeated as the new FUD

bitcoin will sooner or later dissappear in the conflict that many of its arrogant owners are sparking.
there is no conflict, only idiots arguing with each other while bitcoin is doing what it has always been doing and growing more and a being adopted more and becoming stronger every day.
and shitcoins are the ones that are disappearing....
