1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a gambler addicted? on: April 10, 2017, 04:42:40 AM
It's very easy to spot an addicted gambler.

1. If he can't stop talking about his losses, wins and always want to recover them.
2. He can't sleep because of his losses.
3. He can't live a day without gambling.
4. He will do everything just to gamble if he runs out of funds.
5. He is greedy.

If my list isn't enough and still miss a lot, just add some.
That was a good points but i can say simply the one who get addicted always want more to play no matter they have lost a lot.
An addict itself defined as someone who cannot stop do something / too much doing it.
An addict or not in gambling there a lot of similarity , sometimes people who really make gambling as a way to have fun looks addicted but they are not, we cannot 100 percent judge on something like this.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: April 10, 2017, 03:53:06 AM
Spending it as if there is no tomorrow, if the wins were really big then I will save some and spend the rest, that is my honest answer.
Nothing better feeling than that, spend the whole winning amount into something that you really want and dream about.
A big winning can fix your life as long as you did not continue to play and just stop it forever.
People usually being greedy , don't know when to stop and mostly ended up losing again, think about it.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: April 07, 2017, 11:54:41 AM
It's the hope of winning that makes us want to gamble more. That feeling is a type of euphoria that allows the game to be more fun even if we lose a bunch of money on it. Lol
That hope will never end as long as we still have the money to gamble, we have the kind of a "never say die" attitude and we love to fight until the end. However, this is not a battle that we have the advantage, in fact we are fighting in a losing battle if we will try to beat the house, I call it as an impossible mission and we are just fooling ourselves to get blinded with the reality.

And that is the real problem why a lot of people can not stop to gamble.
Expecting to win in gamble is fine , but when you get started wanting a sure win , to always win then it is a problem.
Their head has some problem to fixed , before really get addicted.
Fixing ones head or own head would be really hard when greediness already sling to your mind and having these aims will surely pushes you to play even more even you are already losing money. We are confident always to make money on playing gambling thats why we are always seeking for constant winning which isnt possible on playing gambling because we do definitely commit a lose most of the time if werent lucky enough.
you can always try to get a psychotherapy , since the problem is your psychology.
a therapy like that maybe can help you to act more calm and prevent doing something crazy in gamble.
you need to have a limitation really , or everything could went worst , keep gambling while you always lost is one of that sickness sign.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: April 07, 2017, 11:43:35 AM
I don't find it shameful when I gamble but I do feel shameful when I can't stop when I'm winning and end up losing it all. I feel shameful for my lack of self control and not as a gambler Tongue
It was not a shameful lol , it was a regret feeling that usually people never learn from the past experience.
People feel shameful being a gambler because in some places gambling prohibited even totally prohibited.
So once they caught gambling , people around you will start talking bad about you and excommunicated .

because I live in an apartment in the capital with all forms of privacy, gambling is not a problem. To interact with our neighbors don't have to spit us is a gambler, it's better to say we are a programmer or an independent entrepreneur, they also not want to know more about it, the only thing that could make them know is from people who live our own home. So we must be good at maintaining privacy.
then it should not be a problem at all with that kind situation right .
but it is not a good attitude to always hiding your real activity , why you did not expose it by the way?
is that because you are feel a little bit shame to admit about your gambling profession.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: April 07, 2017, 09:45:45 AM
Fast transactions. Easy to use and the best is no bank needed.I feel empowered using bitcoin .
For me is cheap fees, I'm very glad if you send to different countries only charge $0.2, if using a bank transfer for about $20. Bitcoin is the best payment method and beat paypal.
And this is also faster than the bank, when you sign up to make a bitcoin wallet it's easy and fast while with bank they have to go through the process and will require you the necessary documents in order for you to get approved. That is the big difference on a centralized and a decentralized system.
Bitcoin not yet recognized as a money to transact by people in mass.
Not sure if you can compare between bank and bitcoin , it is pretty different from my point of view.
Bank is a financial institution that accept fiat and centralized while bitcoin is the system of its financial also as a currency , really complete and perfect.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: April 07, 2017, 09:27:15 AM
My favorite gambling game is slot machine, there are so many different ones, with so good graphics and nice bonuses, great prizes. But I don't have enough to play them all the time, slots require big bankroll. In mean time I play poker, sports, dices, I like roulette also. All gambling games are good to me just depends how my bankroll is and I choose game by that.
Do you often enough get a winning when you play slot machine? I don't think so.
Slot machine really feel so fun when you hit high multiplier , it is feel like a dream to get that prize.
The only problem is you cannot win too often , the chance very low and yeaaa when you play with small bankroll you will guaranteed ended up bankrupt.
This game should be played occasionally because it does not give you a good chance to win and if you will stick with it until the end, it's no surprise that you will lose your money. Games are fun really but that involves risk as well and in order to fully get the fun you need to learn how to minimize it and that is not to gamble so much on games that does not give you an edge or games with bigger edge than you.
That's true , when you want to do it regularly i think you need a super big bankroll.
Otherwise everything useless , the time you spent , the money you stake all mean nothing against slot machine game.
To play slot machine you really have to play like nothing to lose , so the winning will feel really unexpected.
1167  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: April 07, 2017, 09:15:49 AM
I wont but the problem with those people that only come to bitcoin for the price is they will switch immediately to any other coin that promises them the possibility of earning bigger amounts of money in the shortest time frame possible, they are not in bitcoin in the long term.

Just let it that way and I don't see majority of all bitcoin users are like that.

Also it's not wrong to get some opportunities to earn in other alt since traders always like that and even happening in physical assets of trades even prior to the existence of cryptocurrency. And to add for that, there is low chance that all whales and bitcoin bagholders (I said ALL meaning 100%) will goes into diversifying tactics just to earn side income with other alts.
I don't even know if people will be more excited to hold and use bitcoin or just scare because of the giant price.
$10,000 is soundslike delusional , but i believe nothing impossible so let's say it will happened in the future.
fiat should have no problem at all as i think people will still need it .
1168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: April 07, 2017, 09:04:28 AM
Not really. In fact. Patience is the key.

I must agree with you, high expectations always lead to disappointment, the key is to get into trading with patience and without big expectations. All thou I lost much more then I made profit on trading, I still make trades and I`m getting into the trading more and more. Most of us here never knew about trading, only now we meet with stock markets, pumps&dumps, so its normal for us to lose money before we actually start to make something of it, and probably just few will learn to make money with trading, its really not for everyone.
Yeaaa people never be patient , they always want to make a quick cash .
Trading is about analysis, psychology, and patince. Patient to make money stready even it is just a little amount.
As long as it work in the long run , better to do that rather than trade in hurry that mostly leading into deep lost.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: April 07, 2017, 08:55:58 AM
Betting all-in because of frustration of losing and getting greedy when i have already win some amounts. I think that is the worst mistake done by most gamblers which i also experience myself.
Always be the biggest regret that most people do.
Several times i have managed 0.4 from just 0.06 as capital only, but slowly when you play a little longer all of them gone.
When your bankroll less than 30% left , people often do allin bet because have no hope anymore.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost 10 BTC in three days. Should I end my life? on: April 07, 2017, 08:38:49 AM
Are you out of your mind? There is still 15 BTC that you own, it's not the end of your life. Think of good things to come after that disaster and maybe it's now the right time for you to quit. Just move on, your crying right now will not help you to grow. There's a lot of way to recover your lose but don't gamble again or it will make you bankrupt.
You must be never lost big amount like what op did , i have lost 0.8 bitcoin out of 2 bitcoin in total last year.
The feeling is so damn annoying , you will confused between have to gamble the rest of the fund to recover previous losing amount.
Or just walk away forget the loss to avoid something much worse.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: April 06, 2017, 11:44:20 AM
I think Bitcoin will dead if every country decides to ban Bitcoin permanently. Then, there will be no more people using Bitcoin because they might be arrested in this condition. And bitcoin can also be dead if there are a new cryptocurrency which is more profitable, more advance and can fix most of the bug of bitcoin. In the future, there will be more cryptos qualifying these facors.
No it won't , noone can stop bitcoin to operated , bitcoin is decentralized.
Even when governments around the world unite to ban bitcoin together , it will just limiting bitcoin usage.
And sooner or later the bitcoin user will popping up back , bitcoin is uncontrolable.

1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: April 06, 2017, 11:15:02 AM
There are some religions says gambling is totally a sin I don't know why gambling prohibited for them gamblers are having fun while having a profit for me gambling is not a sin nor crime

I'm getting their point for considering gambling as a sin. Because a gambler will always think about money and if always think about it that will lead to love of money. And the bible tells us that the love of money is the root of evil, like being greedy and it can startled us to do some crimes when we don't have something to gamble.

That is right only when you are addicted. If the person loves to make money through gambling but can control himself when he has no more money to gamble and he start doing other things, like working for money and not trying to make crimes or illegal deeds to get the money to gamble then it cannot be considered as a sin. I agree with the Bible though, money is the root of all evil if one is not careful how he manage the money.
Gambling is an absolute sin when you take a religion point of view.
But when talking outside that , in general gambling is not a sin as long as do not harm people .
I mean when you gamble but make your life and your family life in trouble then it is considered as a sin.

1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: April 06, 2017, 10:30:54 AM
Hello Guys, I would like to know you're understanding about online gambling and real life gambling. Since here in the philippines online gambling is now illegal. I'm just curious what's the difference about this too. Why make online gambling illegal?

Good question. I think it's because online gambling is much harder to regulate?
Not all online gambling are illegal they declared it as illegal if they are not paying taxes there are some online gambling still operating as long as the government will get benefits and tax then site is legal
Yeaaa government is sucks , they decide whether an online casino illegal or not .
As long as they are licensed and obey the rules that have been made , it is legally operated.
But i personally don't give a damn about it , as long as a casino paying and trusted enough , why not to gamble online?
1176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes in trading that lead to loss of money on: April 06, 2017, 10:11:44 AM
I am not into a trading right now,
But I guess the mistakes that a trader could do that could lead to loss of money is panic selling and also expecting to much for some alt-coin price to pump.
Yeaaa it was fundamental mistakes too quick make decision to sell while the price fool you to skyrocketing.
But also you should be careful overconfident to not cutting lost while waiting the price to go up but it is keep dropping instead.
The key is you have to monitoring it all the time closely and always take it as serious business.

Exactly. When you see that the market price of bitcoin dive, we panic right away and sell it in fear of losing your investment if you hold on it. But i think you should do the opposite, you should continue to buy when the price of bitcoin nose dive and hold on for the long haul even if the price continue to drop. And for sure, when the drop of bitcoin rise again, you will get a good amount of profits in the long end.
The situation not always like that , you have to look around , news/any other reason why the price will keep move up/drop.
There is a time when the price showing a bullish , but actually it gets drop.
Trading often give you an unexpected result , prediction is just a prediction , you can still wrong but at least you are trying to make it as accurate as possible.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Win using martingale system? on: April 06, 2017, 10:03:49 AM
Well to win in a martingale system you just need to play in a short time. It is effective because i am doing this and i seldom lose. I just play for a short period of time and when i doubled my money i just stopped playing. You also need a big bankroll so that you'll be able handle lots of reds streak.
Yeaaa i believe it might work , but when you do it regularly i don't think it could work anymore.
Gambling with that kind high risk strategy always hard near impossible to make it profitable.
Keep doubling your bet amount is not the answer to win in gambling.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: April 06, 2017, 09:39:26 AM
With gambling problem is only one - money! If anyone start playing to win, almost for sure will finish with nothing or with big minus! It is more than sure! Gambling is made for losing and for trying our luck! Everyone have luck, but not everytime. Everyone can win a lot but not everytime! Usually when new player go to play is lucky and win. Ok - thats normal. But every gambler know that possibility of winning is going down with frequency of playing.. You will never fool maths! Cheesy
Cheesy it's true but all gamblers rely on luck to can fool math, although you have a lot of gambling strategy that would not be able to make a profit if no luck on your side and finally all headed down to the luck. Gambling is made for losing and for trying our luck I like this line
I don't believe on that completely, gambling is made for entertainment and to give us a chance to win also, although the our chances are slim to win but the possibility is still their. You need to do the math and not just being lazy relying in your luck because that would not give you a long term success.
There's statement for those are loser on gambling. Gambling have chance win-loss, Never judge gambling's way for losing money.
As far I see ppl have loss for often because have not goals on casino.
Indeed, you are definitely right! there are two only ways were gambler /player goes, to win or to lose. It is true gambling is giving us a chance to win in the games but gambling also give us a chance to lose many times than winning in the games. And yet you will be astonish because even how many times we get lose we still continue to play with, why? it is simply because of ADDICTION.
Slightly confused to read your argument , i just can not see your point why gambling is so addicting.
I can tell that people get addicted to gamble no matter they have lost a lot of money is because the high return .
Simple task to do , but people always forget about the real risk there.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: April 05, 2017, 10:51:54 PM
I did spent the money I won to give presents to my girlfriend. It's been a very good gift to her, I bought her a big stuff toy that she is asking me to buy so. But it's just a secret on where did I got the money because she doesn't want me to gamble and she keeps on telling me that it will just ruin my life but I never listened to her.
The point is to spend on anything that you can not afford to buy previously.
A nice foods, supercar etc anything that could make you satisfied , and don't calculate it just spend!
Few people only who want to store their winning amount as a saving i guess.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: April 05, 2017, 07:53:38 PM
I don't think gambling can change anyone's life in a positive way. But I have seen people lost huge amount of money and got broke and depressed. I take it only as fun and way to spend time.
It depends on someone's fortune if they are lucky enough then they can change their life with gambling for my experience I bought my own motorcycle and pay my tuition fees using gambling
Wish you can make it profit in the long run , i just glad to hear that.
Most people who have experienced gambling for long time they never have a bad ending.
It is because gambling is a -EV games , calculate your winning chance in longer time and you will know why.
