381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SWARM project will be livestreaming its crowdsale launch! Monday 6/16 8pm Berlin on: June 17, 2014, 06:51:49 AM
From the Swarmcoin website:

Quote
We raise 10,000 BTC, 1/3 to salaries, 1/3 to SWARM coin launch funds, and the rest to Swarm Agents and miscellaneous.

So at todays rates you are basically planning to pay yourselves around $2,000,000 in salaries.  Roll Eyes

Quote
Swarm’s projected 18-month expenses include developing the core infrastructure and usability to allow for the creation of new coins. With a full raise of 21,500 BTC, Swarm will be a true incubator, helping get projects and new coins off the ground.

So Swarm is raising 21,500 BTC to develop a platform that allows the creation of new coins?

Am I missing something here?

No they're using the existing platform Counterparty to create the new coins, I think the 21500 BTC is being used to create a super shiny website to promote launches on  Grin fortunately at least one member of the team is a web designer so they can do this for free!

It'll be interesting to see the effect this incentive has on the market over the next week!
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: June 02, 2014, 10:32:11 AM
Swarm’s crowdfunding will close on July 20th with a target of 17,000 bitcoins.

17000BTC*630$=10.7m$! LOL, that is too much!

This is a slight mistake and is currently being corrected in the article. Our target is 4,000 BTC. We will accept an additional 17,000 BTC in a second phase at a slightly lower rate of exchange.

If we raise a larger amount these additional funds will be used to underwrite future coin launches.

For additional details see the booklet that was recently given out at our announcement in Vienna:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/6qt7g20sgposayu/swarm-booklet-v6.pdf

I'm trying to understand the donut graph on page 11 of the swarm booklet labelled fundraiser but it doesn't seem to tally up.

The chart and key lists:

Open Phase 1 4000 Bitcoin
Open Phase 2 17000 Bitcoin
Indication of interest 500 Bitcoin
Swarm reserves 1000 Bitcoin

Sum: 22500 Bitcoin

20% of 22500 = 4500 (shown on graph as 4000)
68% of 22500 = 15300 (shown on graph as 17000)
4% of 22500 = 900 (shown on graph as 500)
8% of 22500 = 1800 (shown on graph as 1000)

As far as I can see the booklet shows Swarm’s crowdfunding will close on July 20th with a target of 22,500 Bitcoins.

Yeah you guys are right, last post. Good luck.

David Irvine took a dig at me for being a troll on the Maidsafe group which I found a bit unfair on top of accusing me of being a scammer. He keeps avoiding the question, I was about to ask a third time but got banned first. *

I think what he's trying to say is no I'm not a scammer he lied because I took a dig at him for manipulating the Mastercoin price.

Source: https://www.maidsafe.org/t/how-does-maidsafe-solve-double-spending/257/61

Here's the question:

You should be a politician trying to discredit me to avoid the question! I'm asking a simple question relating to a serious accusation you made about me. Was I really trying to sell people in your group counterparty maidsafe coins?

Here is your post:

Re: [maidsafe-development] Re: Buy Maidsafe
Folks, I have banned that person now, I know we have a voting system, but he is a scammer. He is using counterparty tokens to pretend they are msafe. Feel free to comment or challenge this decision. I hate making it, but I think we should now have a rule that any direct attack on people is instant ban.
I do not mind me getting flac I am pretty resilient, but I won't allow this community to be attacked like that. Sorry, but He is banned, I strongly suspect it is the same person who tried to sell us the counterparty name for 5 btc. spoke with counterparty about it and they rightly said they cannot do anything about it. This is not a counterparty verses mastercoin issue, those projects seem to get along. It is just scammers I am afraid.
I think our forums may have to look at dealing with this issue as well. It will get bad fast if we do not put it down.
Sorry folks.

吵个锤子,吵个jb,让现实来说话:不管是msc还是maidsafe都tmd跌成屎了!!

Do you mean this my friend?

Instead of arguing like dicks, let reality do the talking if Mastercoin or Maidsafe have damn well fallen into shit?
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 18, 2014, 02:48:51 PM
Hey Chang Hum,

please just go away.

We got your point, but you are telling the same things over and over again.

Yes you don´t like, so move on, and stop spamming this thread.

No I'm not saying the same things over and over. One quotes from a topic today and I don't believe I've quoted this post were David Irvine directly lies to investors about his reason for banning me before.

Sorry if you feel I'm a threat to your shitty stupid "investment" you didn't bother to do any due diligence on. As my posts are very relevant to any newcomers thinking of investing in this nonsense, and the level of insight here is very low I think I'll stay.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 18, 2014, 02:15:53 PM
I agree it's good people came to his defense specifically the Admin guy David. Sadly the turnaround in this example seems like kids changing their behavior because they got told off by teacher. If the Admin hadn't stepped in these guys would have been determined to break his argument by group force rather than through logic, reasoning, maths and information.

I agree with you, before the admin and irvine showed up it really wasn't looking good for him, being branded a troll for asking questions.

I really want to see some code too, it's too much talk at the moment.

Also there will be competitors in the storage space, I think sia is one of them, and Nxt and Ethereum may enable their own solutions.

They need to act fast.

I'd argue Irvines actually one of the worst for this which is pretty ironic given he's trying to build a decentralized internet, citing feedom of speech to the world as one of the reasons

In this example David Irvine tells an outright lie to ban me, branding me a scammer and promoting a dictatorial voting system that involves him clicking ban if he hears something he doesn't like:

I can find another example were he's asked for vote a if I should be banned after he's already banned me! Then proclaims "it looks like he's left on his own accord already!!" The guys really fake...

Bunch of videos of core team and heavily-moderated chat responses.....cool.

The main feature on the moderated threads on Maidsafe.org and google groups is precisely to avoid empty data like the one you generate here. Those are busy people trying to build something  very, very complex. Of course, you will have another low tier disdain answer. Pre-answer: I don't care about you.

Incorrect you're delusional if you've read google groups/their forum and you believe this.

Can you explain?

Valid questions that are perceived by the group as undermining the "maidsafe religion" are met with great hostility and troll name calling, I could pull at least 20 examples to make this point but I happen to be reading one now! https://www.maidsafe.org/t/how-does-maidsafe-solve-double-spending/257/48

Idiotic questions or nonsensical conversations which waste time on the other hand are graciously embraced.

That thread is interesting, I think it's a good example for Maidsafe though, many people came to the defense of the 'troll' and continue to explain their concepts.

It's a shame the community went again the guy in the first place, does seem a bit religious, but at least the community seemed to go back on track.

I agree it's good people came to his defense specifically the Admin guy David. Sadly the turnaround in this example seems like kids changing their behavior because they got told off by teacher. Interesting Idea I don't know if it's been brought up but monetizing (small siacoin charge) downloads would seriously encourage uploads of quality content.

Can/will blockscan.com be adapted to show assets at an address?

I have added a basic asset by address view.

Please see http://www.blockscan.com/assetbyaddress.aspx?q=1Nf1LL6z8QN8uLZENLdPNzSGhhcfWqtzax for an example

There is also "link" under the address view

Wow that was quick, thanks!

I'm using linux so it doesn't have a help menu

http://picpaste.com/056b970634046a3c615af9940073a2a1.png

Make a copy of your wallet.dat file  located here...     ~/.bitcoin/wallet.dat

To navigate there on Linux: find / -name wallet.dat -print 2>/dev/null

I'll find the rest of the answer while you're doing that

Once you've got that it's easy mate (might not be the best way but simple and straight forward)... import your wallet.dat file into a blockchain.info wallet here:

https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet

Open your blockchain.info wallet and to export private keys:

go to: import/export
select: export unencrypted (from the left hand option bar)
select private key format: bitcoin qt format
from the text in the big box copy the long sequence of letters and numbers in quote marks that follow the word priv.

You're done copy that into your omni Wallet https://test.omniwallet.org/ (not the hackforums phishing site for fucks sake lol!!)

I'd strongly recommend you send all your bitcoin somewhere secure before doing all this (although chances of being hacked on linux are small compared to windows):
a) you've originally posted a link from hackforums, so if you've got a keylogger or trojan on you're computer attackers could steel your coins.
b) omniwallets only alpha quality so I wouldn't trust it unnecessarily with the $1.7k odd Bitcoin you've got !

where do i get the private key in bitcoin-qt? there is no option there for private key

Don't worry buddy I have google built into my webspace so can find out for you http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/7536/how-do-i-export-my-private-keys-from-my-bitcoin-qt-client

my wallet does not have a help menu

A google image search of QT wallet show's they all have a help menu unless they are Apple, linux or hackforums clients. I'll assume you're on one of the latter that wasn't a hackforums download. Have you tried clicking the orange or yellow circle at the top left of your client and seeing if there's a help menu there?

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bitcoin+qt&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=6u5sU7DbL4yLkwXTqYDoDQ&sqi=2&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&biw=1366&bih=667#facrc=_&imgrc=xlAfgc2vbQR4eM%253A%3B_KqlkF5vgneEIM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fupload.wikimedia.org%252Fwikipedia%252Fcommons%252F7%252F7d%252FScreenshot_of_Bitcoin-qt.png%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fcommons.wikimedia.org%252Fwiki%252FFile%253AScreenshot_of_Bitcoin-qt.png%3B773%3B473

If you're still having problems take a screen shot of your client and upload it to picpaste and I'll try and see if I can help.
