921  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year - The crypto economics on: January 02, 2022, 02:13:01 PM
The personal economic world as a student with financially unstable family is quite destructive. If you do focus on your job and try and earn your basic needs then at the end of the day you will not be able to perform that well in your studies, therefore for me I want to find a stable "balance".

Working from home is not easy, getting payments from companies hiring you abroad without much experience is the harder part and therefore for me this forum has been a blessing in many ways. For me I will try and start small business or find ways to earn though cryptocurrencies somehow. Learning is crucial therefore am constantly spending time on platforms like edX but they do require extra money to be paid for the certificates to build my professional resume, because to be economically stable first you have to understand the fact that you gotta be *experienced* and you should have the necessary skills, therefore I hope 2022 for me is extremely busy and rewarding.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin close to becoming totally irrelevant for most "normal" people?? on: January 02, 2022, 11:58:20 AM
How do you define *irrelevant*?
Bitcoins honestly is not even close to becoming irrelevant in any case. People still are buying during the times of lows and people are still investing. Maybe it's *irrelevant* for people who just focuses on fiat and nothing else, which inturn means that for them other things like *stocks* *shares* *investments* are irrelevant as well, not just bitcoins. Therefore for that kind of person their interest in Bitcoin might or might not be relevant in the first place to consider. For people who don't really care about technologies, for them it's completely understandable to not have any questions regarding the ease of use, ofc they would try and accumulate more traditional form of investments. The term *boring* is personal for every person, but is it that bad? Doesn't it just mean that it's becoming as common as the fiat itself?
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The digital perfection of Bitcoin on: December 30, 2021, 03:51:26 PM
It's definitely not something that might be so easy to use for old people or also for young people but one have to understand the fact that digital currencies are always a little hard to use, even using bank accounts online can be quite challenging. I do think when we talk about converting bitcoins in a currency we do not talk about it dominating everything that we know of, we specifically talk about how we can use Bitcoins more efficiently in other ways possible, for some people they might have greater use of it as an investment but that does not mean that we cannot use it for international transactions, it can indeed make them more easy. What we are talking about is : Giving a decentralized currency an opportunity to hold ground and to make further progress.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should Gambling be legalized ? on: December 30, 2021, 02:57:34 PM
Time and again we have heard numerous arguments from economists and the government regarding the pros and cons of legalization of the Gambling industry, let us discuss some of them here.
{This does not exclude the cons as well, but let's discuss about the pros here}

What can legalization do for the economy?
- It can definately help the government with high tax revenues which is never Outlooked and this can help with overall economic development of any country for that matters.
- It can help in Job creation as well, since it's a big industry and people would be more engaged
- It can reduce the need for illegal gambling which means they won't have to use illegal methods or whatsoever
- Gambling cannot be controlled, at the end of the day people would find a way therefore it's best if it's regulated by the governmental bodies

There can be other social benefits during the time of Covid where people have to supposedly entertain themselves at their own homes and they won't have to visit casinos in person.

What else do you think could be the benefits ??

Taking away an industry for the organized crime is really important as well, if gambling is legalized then it means that anyone with the necessary funds can create a casino, but if it is illegal then only those that move on the underground world would do so, keeping all of the profits of the industry by themselves without paying taxes and making them even more powerful than they are.

Another benefit is that if gambling is made legal then the games can be regulated and casinos will have no incentive to cheat their customers or they will lose their license, something that is not possible to do if gambling is illegal.

That's exactly it.  If people want to gamble and it's illegal they still Will find a way to gamble.  It funds criminal organizations while not creating revenue streams for governments.  To me its a no brainer.  People with addictive downfalls can also be regulated whereas in an illegal system, they will run people dry and leave em in the gutter.  There are way more pros than cons with this one.

Quite a funny experience I would like to share. I was in highschool and my maths tutor was actually running an underground business of betting on sports, mainly cricket and he would even randomly ask kids to bet as well! Betting on sports is illegal in India. He apparently got arrested for it, he came back, did it again!!
Plus this time he again involved students as well, if it was legal he could definately run a business on a bigger scale with 18+ ofcourse, plus the police would be able to monitor him as well and it would not be so hard to keep a track of other small illegal business, the government can also earn taxes from it!! Therefore that time I realized what's needed to be done sooner or later : rightful legalization !! Better regulations!! Better control!!! It's quite a funny story tho, math tutor by the day and had his whole tiny casino by night
925  Economy / Economics / Re: IRS says stolen property and bribes must be reported as income on: December 30, 2021, 01:10:31 PM
This is honestly not funny and not even reasonable. Maintaining confidentiality when you know which people are involved in the criminal activities and not forwarding it to the government, not reporting it is awful. I don't even understand why did they do it for so many years? Illegal activities and stolen properties are something that should not be taken lightly, tweeting about it, makes me sure that there is nothing right with the government. Apparently they only help the law when the police finally comes and knocks at their door and ask about the particular person. "Confidentiality"
They are talking it too far. Shouldn't they be so kind to answer why do they have probelms with cryptocurrencies like *Bitcoins* then?? This is a twisted reason for them. As long as the government is getting taxes, they will keep mum about it and that's about it.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling company's responsibility on: December 30, 2021, 10:05:14 AM
I do think the online Gambling industry is quite new in the business, therefore such laws, rules, regulations are not really in line. The license authorities already ask them to pay excessive amount of money for various sites and that's what most of them care about plus people don't even file a legal complain against them, Incase of scam or any other accusations, if the Gambling is legal in their country they should file a PIL or FIR for that matters. The government might try and take some actions against them, but it takes time and at the same time it's hard for the person to submit the required documents and supporting evidence on time. Therefore it's not taken too far most of the times. On the forum if they make a post in scam accusations and leave a feedback on the profile, most people will review that.
927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Evaluate your Bitcoin for next year on: December 29, 2021, 05:39:20 PM
My goals for 2022 consists on finding jobs that I can do revolving around bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. For me it's easier to find a job online on the forum than go outside and work for 8 hours a day to get paid only 320$/month. Due to pandemic and economic probelms, the developing nations are honestly crumbling down and workers are suffering. With no honest profits from the company and them offering you unofficial work so that they don't have to pay you incentives, no wonder we are moving towards the great resignation. Therefore I want to try and think of a way where I can offer services internationally using bitcoins for a reasonable price for people who value the work and are not just focused on recruiting cheap workforce from underdeveloped and developing countries. Bitcoins is something that might eradicate the need for a third party, therefore still coming up for a plan and want to improve myself in 2022 overall!
Happy new year to your family as well
928  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crypto Rich Are Flocking to Puerto Rico on: December 29, 2021, 05:07:36 PM
Small countries with vast nature and a slightly lagged economic growth might be playing with the big dice now with the advent of cryptocurrencies and the introduction of low taxation. If the rich people decide to move there they would not only be attracting people for the healthy economy but at the same time they would be working forth for their future, since they can increase the taxes slowly and at the same time this would help strengthen their economic development, I do think it is a wise move. People would come and invest there which would definately bring more job opportunities for the native people and it would also engage some overseas businesses strengthening their ties as well, I think they all have a bright future and the developing countries should take steps like this as well.

930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc ban and fud its also financial market manipulation on: December 29, 2021, 04:08:50 PM
The funny part is the Indian government threatens to ban bitcoins a lot of times, even the RBI goes so far so as to ban the bank accounts as well, at the end of the day they ask the Indians to sell their bitcoins or they might be liable to jail time, they were ridiculously mentioning that the jail time would be definately more than the jail time that a person normally receives for *rape*. These ridiculous claims are actually fuled by old people governing the government in the country, which I do think is a big issue, they also try and bring price down every once in a while  but now the matter is hopefully sorted for a while. Other than that big countries like Russia and China are waiting to grab any opportunity, with China cleaning their hands and running out now all eyes are on Russia for their big move, but they seem far too focused on Ukraine for the moment to do anything.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: December 29, 2021, 03:35:02 PM
I am pretty sure the next big move would be few countries and locations becoming the hub of the gambling industry, which does mean that most of the gambling companies would be Concentrated there, the license will come from there and rjengivern will impose heavy taxes on that region and whosoever is controlling that country overall would be greatly benefited. I see UK emerging on the top with their own corruption and restrictions making the whole game a lot easier, with other countries like India, try and get into the whole idea of Gambling as well, cuz they do allow horse racing so I do not get why they won't allow poker and other things online. Then we would also see the expansion of the market and death of many companies since at the end of the day competition would be fruitful.
932  Economy / Economics / Re: Gibraltar moves to become world’s first cryptocurrency hub on: December 29, 2021, 03:04:50 PM
I definitely remember considering them for the headquarters of the gambling industry but I do think that this is not something that might work that fast. The license and the regulations are something that might cut the dream pretty fast. It is under hard to understand the fact that cryptocurrencies work well when they have support from the government and at the same time they are also working how they are supposed to work, but in Gibraltar the regulations are going to be a hindering section but at the same time they have approved 14 cryptocurrencies and bitcoins is ofc one of them. I think we might soon see some good things happening here, hopefully.
933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading on: December 28, 2021, 06:53:55 PM
It is definitely something that depends on your skills and your experience as well! Some people try and do day trading as well which is actually beneficial even for the time when the price is not so high as well, some people face huge loss for sure but at the end they learn from it. I think you can definitely try it if you are willing to put in extra work and willing to follow the market every second of the day. I think you should try doing trading with Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies instead of dollars as your main currency perse! There will always be a possibility of a loss therefore you cannot just exclude that, it's a gamble for sure!
934  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. Contemplating Isolating Russia from SWIFT Banking System on: December 28, 2021, 06:13:50 PM
Russia is doing some crazy stuff and this is actually not going to affect just Russia and Ukraine but it would also affect other countries as well and take everyone closer to the world war !! Therefore everyone is being super careful about it. There are troops already being deployed from both that UK and the US as well, this would actually cause probelms for the long term. Therefore excluding them from SWIFT system would be a good move for the time being but it can also cause probelms, might increase the agressive conflicts as well. I think USA needs to make peace agreements instead of putting the troops in so soon and the Ukraine have to even get further steps to increase their security for some mishaps.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's p2p account hacked again on: December 28, 2021, 04:56:15 PM
This is quite alarming, posting an advertising for NFT? That's quite funny, the first thing that Satoshi might do when he would be back is not posting an NFT advertisment, I don't even know how hacker was able to do that, now at the end of the day it's a not so we'll through about scam, it again shows us how important it is to secure your own wallet , moving the bitcoins owned by Satoshi and selling them creating a deep probelm in the market is what we should be worried about right now.
Plus the funny part is why do the person thinks that he would be using some other Altcoin, when he is the one who invented bitcoins ?! That's stupid. I hope they leave his account alone.
936  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dangers of gambling addiction on: December 28, 2021, 04:14:34 PM
It's the same as any other addiction, to maintain an addiction you have to keep pouring in the money and at the end when you are broke and have no job, you don't really have an option to do that, so you try and sell the already existing assets that you might have, the addiction does change your brain structure as well and cause deep seated problems, that's why most of the sites working on the forum do stress about the *responsible gambling*, there are many professional help that you might get here at the same time many people can also use their government established agencies to help people with gambling Addiction free of cost. You can try and control all this with the help of the community you are connected with as well.
937  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital asset is for holding on: December 28, 2021, 03:46:36 PM
Before thinking of investing in any sector what one considers is how long you are willing to hold. Let's take the history down to how investment all began. Moving from the era of Real estate to stocks to metals to oil blocks and now digital assets we would agree those who made it big in all this investment options were those who had the patience to hold.

This kept me wondering why one would even think of investing if they don't have the patient to hold. If you can't develop the hold attitude then the best option is to do a physical business where you can monitor your profit and see them come in regularly. If it must be crypto then you must be willing to hold and wait
If we talk about ancient investments:
For a country like India, investments were straight away taken equivalent to the amount of gold one might possess or the amount of land one has, therefore most of the times the women of the house accumulated their gold jewelry and showcased them in the society, that is what people took for being rich. It slowly became part of their culture as well and even now, most people still are hung up on them.
There Are people as well who took it a step further and started lending money to the people based on their lands, most of the times they would even seize it as well, that's how rich people converted their wealth and doubled it. Now these lands and gold accumulated passed down the family tree and gave a security to the future generation.

Now for us it's an opportunity to grow, cryptocurrencies allows us to invest without any minimum balance which is a way for us to earn a bit !! That's why many people are getting rich through Altcoins and bitcoins as well, quite a new concept tho.
938  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your opinion of the insurance industry? on: December 28, 2021, 03:07:16 PM
A simple smart contract is always better. I used to have insurance controlled by the government, which generally meant that I didn't really have to go forth and deposit seperate for the particular part, the deducted a small amount every month. Now there was this probelm with the RBI and bitcoins, that they banned my bank account which actually caused me a lot of probelms but I did not further care about my insurance even though I have been paying timely for 2 years, the authorities as well did not call me about that therefore for me the insurance industry is not a big deal, I would rather save money or you know take per year health insurance from a company, it's more secure, like right now living in Europe I had to buy an insurance for my temporary residency, so I actually did take it from a company, plus I get free doctor consultations and appointments, etc, it's cool and regarding the life insurance, that's something to worry about for people who have their whole family dependent on them.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thriller Triad combat - Does the tringle shaped ring affect the betting outcome? on: December 27, 2021, 05:15:55 PM
I do think that the shape does not matter until and unless the overall area stays the same, if the shape is a triangle I think there would be less chances of people fighting with a safety distance which does mean that they might have to engage more in close combat which might be good for some players and bad for some as well. I think the shape matters for sure, it can be in a favour of some players, it can also make the match more exciting tho since players would be forced to fight 1 on 1 which might make the whole thing finish up really fast. I have not yet watched any match in such ring shape, hopefully it would be fair for all the players.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: December 27, 2021, 04:48:25 PM
So I had a great holiday season all with the help of Bitcoin I came from an underdeveloped country where the rate of unemployment is pretty high and many youths are left to do some hard jobs just to survive even graduates with University degrees have no paying jobs I got to know about this forum some months ago and since then my financial life was transformed and the Christmas happens to be my best I can now earn little money to take care of my financial needs all with the help of Bitcoin-related jobs both on this forum and off the forum. BITCOIN IS A SAVIOR

I honestly understand what you mean, 20-30$ is not a big deal in a developed nation but when it comes to underdeveloped countries or even countries are still developing then I do think it's essentially important to understand the fact that these might mean that a person can buy food for a whole month or at least 15 days. My mom works as a full time teacher for literally 50$ which is so sad. Plus working online most of the times involves a lot of probelms as well. I do think what helped me most was this forum. For so many years, plus it continues to do that. So grateful for everything here. I hope your condition improves overtime and the government brings better reforms for the people as well, so that they can have options to do jobs and get a good education no matter where they are from.
