721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning Bitcoin is Like Banning the Internet, Says Russia’s Finance Minister on: February 22, 2022, 05:22:30 PM
I have seen numerous posts from people all based on Russia and bitcoins on the forum lately. Basically they know they cannot ban bitcoins because people always find a way to use it according to their own needs.

- They can't control it
- They have their own needs that they have to put through first, they have to actually secure a position in case the banks collapse admist sanctions
- Cryptocurrencies are the new step in the world's revolution and the IT sector is literally not going too far without them.

Wait till they announce their own digital currency.
722  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics on: February 22, 2022, 04:33:27 PM
- They are pseudo cryptocurrencies, people already know that they would take over some use from fiat by reducing the cost that goes in exchange but that's about it

- Government will try and ban cryptocurrencies as well so that they have investor pooling in their digital currencies

- They might be subjected to limited use since the government might not consider the people who are actually not equipped enough to handle virtual applications

I don't think it will affect cryptocurrencies as long as the government does not come in between the normal functioning of them.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: Measuring crisis effects on: February 22, 2022, 04:05:47 PM
If you look at the overall market price of Russia, it has fallen off quite a bit. At the same time, the price of oil due to limited oil supplies is sky rocketing. We cannot talk about the market recovery at the moment since most of the stocks and cryptocurrencies would be down, there are going to be sanctions that would be imposed in a jiffy that would make things more complicated as well. Considering the recovery I think we are already struggling with the market crash due to the covid therefore it's hard to sum everything up. Therefore market crisis is not just going to affect one place locally but it's going to have a wide global effect as well.
-The price of oil would climb faster than ever
-Stocks related to Russia would fall drastically
-International relations would be jeopardized.
724  Economy / Economics / Re: Proposed Cryptocurrency ban in Russia on: February 22, 2022, 08:51:47 AM
Now their threat to financial stability is long gone isn't it ? Since they are already planning to invade Ukraine therefore they need something to back them up and to have policies in place that would support them in such state. I do think that even if Russia does not plan to ban cryptocurrencies it would not be a good idea for them to use something like bitcoins for starting a world war 3. They want to regulate mining by setting up areas which would be controlled by the government, certain permissable areas. Which I do think is quite a lot happening. Bitcoins is powerful therefore it scares me that a country can actually use it to back up war.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to calculate Gross gaming revenue for online casino on: February 21, 2022, 06:17:27 PM
But we cannot exactly calculate everything since all the players and their individual bets, getting all that information might be a bit challenging since at the end of the day it makes no sense to invade someone's privacy. Plus all these things are calculated by the softwares now and their net profits as well, they are all mostly done by governmental bodies sometimes to make sure that they do not cheat and pay their taxes on time based on the profits that they made. But you can always check the gross profit that they made from the bet you made on your site! Might be interesting for some people.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When your freedom is taken, bitcoin and crypto is the solution! on: February 21, 2022, 05:49:02 PM
This is horrible since when you force people to do something that they might not agree on and at the same time at such a sudden notice making everything so horrible since it would be hard for them to earn due to the pandemic people would have no choice to :
1. Shift to a better currency immune to the governmental manipulation
2. They will loose all the trust and respect that they have for the government as well
3. Peaceful protests does come into the right for them to voice their opinions as well.

I don't really have any problems with antivaxers, I do think they are stupid but at the same time being someone who does respect their opinion as well. It's stupid to block their bank accounts and cut them off just like that.

People need to :
1. Switch to bitcoins
2. Get some of their assets in there
3. Choose a better government
727  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Crypto drafted bill release date shifted, do not be misinformed on: February 21, 2022, 04:54:37 PM
- They have much more things to take care of right now with the war and stuff they are focusing their energy on destruction right now how do you think this would go?

- They are going to use Bitcoins to fund for war and everything since at the end of the day, US and other nations wants to impose sanctions and am not even sure how this would work out, using bitcoins to start a new war ? Eh! Nah!

- Even if they allow mining and all it would be highly localized and at the same time they would not really let the market flourish for real, it would be focused on the government gaining profits.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 21, 2022, 04:21:46 PM
It's not exactly loosing for fun, you know the games we played as a child when we used to go to the fare and such, all these games etc at the end of the day, we paid for it and rarely won, everyone enjoyed it didn't they ?

Basically human mind is wired In such a way that it generally encompasses any logic as long as it's getting adrenaline pumped in through those sources. Now at the end of the day I do think that people who are gambling for fun don't really tend to loose that much and don't do it that often, they enjoy every once in a while but if someone is doing it everyday then it's addiction for sure.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Environmental Menace on: February 21, 2022, 03:47:36 PM
The cars emits a lot pollution as well, did we stop using them and the trucks? No ! Most of the things that we use have some probelms concerned with the environment and we have to understand that the developed nations and other industrial countries are not making it any easier on the environment. We do know that the green mining is just a small portion, But we can hope with projects like El Salvador for more people to take it on. At the same time right now we don't really have a system that can tackle the financial probelms that everyone is facing right now and thus needs bitcoins in every sense, it's a necessity for the moment, plus soon they will stop mining coins and the mining energy would be more concerned with taking transactions back and forth, the small miners will disappear because of all the competition but at the end of the day, the big companies would have to follow green rules and thus make things more sustainable inevitably.
730  Economy / Economics / Re: computer capable of breaking elliptical curve encryption algorithms on: February 21, 2022, 09:35:32 AM
In events like this, wouldn't it be a threat to every single one of the banks? Government websites? Schools? Offices? This is not really a simple rule but at the end of the day the whole of the internet will collapse causing massive chaos. How hard would it be able to access this computer as well? It's not an easy thing to actually have access to things that can cause so much trouble, at the end of the day I do think that they would impose super strict restrictions on these things so that it does not go in wrong hands. But it's technology, it's going to evolve every single second and if you can't keep up with it, then you won't survive. Let's see and wait for such catastrophe.
731  Economy / Economics / Re: People over 65 having most of wealth in US on: February 20, 2022, 05:49:33 PM
The fact is the generation wealth have been passed down to centuries but that only a small fraction of population, with people being over 65, they have already worked hard their entire life and they have saved up a lot as well, thus making everything quite positive for them. On the other hand right now in the middle of the pandemic and the collapsing economy, we cannot really show a light on the people who are struggling to make things work, where countries even ban them for protesting and take over their bank accounts, we don't really have anything to say here. Cryptocurrencies are soon going to change much more than that, early investors have gained quite a solid ground perse.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what gives Bitcoin it value? on: February 20, 2022, 05:13:03 PM
The value of Bitcoins is basically based on the Demand and supply rule which does mean that the moment the demand exceeds the supply the value will sky rocket. It's not really a weird science but much like stocks it fluctuates in the value, being more volatile bitcoins at the end of the day gains it's power from being an essential asset, also the holders, the long term holders like Mr. Satoshi provides bitcoins, value since the holders are like 50% of the bitcoin investors, I think the value is dependent upon many factors, therefore it's the sum of all of these that makes it valuable. Whales also guarantee a certain amount of backup as well.
733  Economy / Economics / Re: How Crypto Became the New Subprime on: February 18, 2022, 06:34:37 PM
I think it's taking a bit too far calling it a *crash*
Considering how Bitcoins have been there why don't we consider for a second that *Volatility* is it's nature. Cryptocurrencies as a whole are not just bitcoins there are others as well which are making things much more complicated. Summing them up all in once is not the right thing to do.

When you talk about bitcoins and Bitcoins alone. It has shown tremendous growth overtime and at the same time it's creating its own era, things might go up and down by 3-5% every once in a while but that's just an amazing time to buy more coins.

Crash is a bit too harsh, only suitable for the shitcoins.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscars to include Fan-Favorite Film via Twitter on: February 18, 2022, 05:33:53 PM
Hacking something online is very easy, not for me or you but for hackers. Considering this flaw, the responsibility will be on Twitter, which we have seen in the past that it did not really have a good stance, we saw that Twitter got hacked in the past as well. Therefore considering this they can add a forum on Twitter or some other platform where users can sign up themselves for these things and at the end of the day, can be verified. But then again it's a very long shot and no one can trust that happening. Let's see how they make it harder for the potential hackers since abuse like this is really common.
735  Economy / Economics / Re: Nice job Justin! on: February 18, 2022, 05:09:28 PM
Okay the thing is they didn't just lock out people's money, at the same time they proceeded to do e everything they can like suspending expensive insurance for all the truckers during pandemic where people are already struggling to make the ends meet. I think it's going to be a major concern since with the quarantine people will find it hard to actually find new jobs and to pay for their insurance again. This was uncalled for and at the same time it's very important to understand the fact that if someone does not want to be double vaccinated, it's their choice, you cannot hate them for anything like that. You cannot freeze their bank accounts and at the same time take their insurances away, the one thing a government is here to do is to protect the people and their liberty, what this government is doing is baffling.
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain Gambling on: February 18, 2022, 04:34:05 PM
What do you mean by Blockchain Gambling? There are so many casinos here and there which inturns include some casinos that might scam some people and some casinos that might be having trouble with the VPN or something like that. If you think that fortune Jack have cheated and took 20$ from you then you have to raise a new post in scam section, make an accusations as well. Which will inturn help you for the long run and help clear the reputation of the company as well. I do think that you should also try and get into the probably fair thing, check it yourself, or change to some reputed casino.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank and it ignorance on Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 04:04:23 PM
This might not be a new thing for Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies because just like Central Bank there gave been countries which were not really making bitcoins illegal but at the same time they were not allowing people to trade in using their bank accounts. I remember when I had a local indian account, they banned my account because I had transactions coming to and fro from Zebpay. But at the same time I had other international banks as well which helped me through it. Considering Central Banks they are just scared of the power that bitcoins might have over everything making things a bit too easy for people, they don't wanna loose their dominance and that's about it.
738  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin failed to fulfill the purpose it was created for ? on: February 18, 2022, 03:35:07 PM
There is nothing that can actually define the reason why bitcoins were created in the first place, the reason why bitcoins was created was to cater to the need of every individual holding it, one cannot define if a person uses it as an asset or if he or she uses it as a currency. Government is going to control everything, at the end what's needed is positive control and no negative effect from that side. It haven't failed anything it's important to see the things being done, like El Salvador, Ukraine, Russia,. US every country is doing something important to care and control the whole system which is inevitable. Regulations are not really a bother until and unless they have a space to breathe.
739  Economy / Economics / Re: US Government! Bitcoin Said You Came Late. on: February 18, 2022, 03:04:18 PM
The fact about articles are, that they shows the idea, the whole notion that a person is himself adamant about, it might not even portray facts, most of the times it's just simple words. Therefore I do not think that you have to think that hard and fast about this. These are his thoughts and initially the government did everything, what they could to make things more safe for them, for their point of view. The misuse of digital currencies is a big thing and it has been happening for a really long time I do think that even if they set it up right now they still would be able to help the people in the past since the data always stays there, it never really disappears.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 18, 2022, 02:16:50 PM
It's from a casino side as well. Come casinos choose not to serve to some countries that's something that I found out afterwards. At the same time do not use a VPN. Using a VPN would mean that you won't be able to access your own funds as well which might end up bad for you.

- do not use a VPN
Most casinos ban usage of VPN
- lol and do not move to a new country as well, a casino is a much smaller reason to move to a new place. Don't be that addicted.
- Find a new site! There are gonna be many local ones
