3781  Economy / Economics / Re: How in the world we going to restart the world economy ? on: July 10, 2020, 05:33:12 PM
there are at least two "wars" faced in every country in the world when facing the global pandemic corona virus and fighting the virus itself and trying to control the economic crisis in country. But I think if the new economic goals need to be noted that the state will achieve its goals will not be fulfilled if the system applied is not in accordance with the conditions or state of the country...?

Actually it can be diversified in broader spectrum. State legislation can run independent of central / country legislation thus providing sound economy to the local areas. That is why they are always given local rules, state ruler and central ruler party. All of them will have to stick to their own boundaries and this way they can easily manage the transaction limited to their area.

Remember that economic condition as whole is country's situation but it doesnt mean every state will get hampered with it. Say for example if any state is not affected with the covid-19 right now then their businesses, jobs everything can run smoothly and in fact they can support affected area externally. So they actually flourish and become overpower.
3782  Economy / Economics / Re: Dissecting the Parasitocracy, Version 2 on: July 10, 2020, 04:57:48 PM
Amazing article. Its a good read. Over the period I believe that those who were prince, kings, and their decedents now a days had come up with such systems to keep up the money flow in their pockets while giving an illusion of "DEMOCRATIC" system in reality. Of course this is greatest illusion from these rich people (inherited richness) who created a centralised system and took all the important decisions in their hands.

Have you ever heard of government who gives out free hand to the public issuance ?  What I mean is, when it's about money, and lets take an example of economic crisis, they will raise the "costs of things" mostly those required on the daily basis!! This keep up the money flow in the governments pockets with the help of taxes, both on state and central level.

I think this is really big picture which you have compared above. One can not even have an idea how and what they are upto when they circulate the money throughout the nation. How are they sustained with such big infrastructure, military cost, charities, etc. simply by imposing the rules they created in public interest.
3783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin smart contracts are not developed? on: July 10, 2020, 02:55:29 PM
Oh man, thats so great to see Satoshi sir's communciation with the former colleagues. I mean it was so good that those were the lucky people who worked with the smartest guy behind blockchain technology. It's pretty good to see how professional he was.

However, coming to the topic I believe it's limited supply and inability of the bitcoin to provide these infinite amount could be one of the reason as compared to ETH where its infinite and smart contracts can just consume more of the coins. It's network is lightening fast and on the other hand bitcoin will end up with heavy congestion in the network right after few contracts and coins are released based on it's nodes. Any thoughts are welcome on this one.

3785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Buying the 'Dogs' on: July 09, 2020, 12:23:26 PM
Aside from exchanges, is there a place where people list private token sales.

I am looking to acquire tokens that have little to no volume and have fallen 95-98% since ICO.

As other community said above, its dumb idea to buy fallen tokens with 95% loss since ICO. If they fallen so much then know that its just next to impossible that it will regain its status again and give you any sort of profit.

Anyway, if you still want to have solution for this one then just hit the CMC and you can filter out the coins with Price Range option. This will definitely give you coins with lowest possible prices.

Dont know but just put 0 to 1 in the price range and you will see no volume coins.

Just like in the below image :

Its a little like the AIM Market, buy it now and wait 5 years - some will have done nothing, some will have gone lower and some will have gone up.

Everyone has their goals and different views while investing. But I would really suggest you to be careful while investing in such kind of project. There are many projects with whole team working behind it, physical offices and all but they dont even move an inch in the upward direction.

Just telling you from experiences.

NEW: CENTRE appears to have blacklisted an address holding USDC for the first time

Thats it..Crypto become surveillance system.Solution is privacy and fungibility...

Stable coins, altcoins, tokens, etc, all of those are centralized assets provided by companies. They can be easily shut down, coerced and censored.

Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies ideals and fundamental lies within bitcoin, and maybe in Ethereum also. No government can do a war against bitcoin. They can, but they will lose, because there is no real target that could be censored to control the network.

USDC, on the other hand, is just a company. Nobody will stand for them, and you shouldn't.

Hm, this one looks very convincing to me since it's upto the current rules and regulations. I mean all the centralised and decentralised debate is true. Let's not forget Satoshi vision here, since anonymous transaction and power to untraceable data was all he had in mind. Then came these people with bouncing mind and greed of earning money who developed centralised coins around blockchain, then stablecoins to give out paybacks etc. But they failed to recognise what it could do to community by exposing their funds, transaction etc. May be this is what happening in the Twitt above.
3787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin network knowledge poll on: July 09, 2020, 11:16:07 AM
Maybe I was nitpicky.

I showed this topic to my friend, and he asked, "But what would you call those people who hold, and spend Bitcoin"?

#Confused. Haha.

From the discussion it's clear an individual can not hold the full node and neither requires one to just hold the bitcoins. It's all about public ledger, may be our coins are stored locally if the wallet is on a local machine and if it's over exchanger then it has to be on the server. Don't know, but this is the basic idea, whole node is made up of various machines connected together over internet. So it's pretty simple we still won't be needing full node to hold the coins.
3788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency mixing services do more harm than good to blockchain technology on: July 09, 2020, 10:55:33 AM
It's not because a service gets used by scammers that it does more harm than good...

I use mixing services all the time to protect my family and myself against a $5 wrench attack...

In short it's exactly the opposite to what OP says. Mixing services are for the sake of securing attacks from scammers and not the way around it.  Tongue

With few of the exceptional services , most of them could harm your fund though, by claiming their genuinely services and at the end engulfing your fund to their wallets. Now I would say that is the harm a bitcoin mixing service could do with the help of blockchain.

Also in the very beginning, the sole purpose of blockchain itself is integrity of transaction/data. If we add up more complex algo to do a transaction over it then it doesnt mean its harming the blockchain at the end.
3789  Economy / Economics / Re: 2010 one Lebanese lira = 0.67 BTC today 1 lira = 1 Satoshi on: July 09, 2020, 10:33:59 AM
I think most of the countries which are under developed, and developing category will have such kind of values.

Indian Rupee is also kind of very low. Against Libra its still standing good but if we compare to world's dominating currencies then it is surely very low. I mean if 1 EURO is 1,20,000 Satoshi whereas 1 INR is equal to 120 Satoshi. Its so tiny and over the period when bitcoin will keep rising in value it might remain stable or have little bit of movement.

We may not see our values as big as euro and USD but i guess its what they are worth due to devaluation.
3790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with the need for tBTC? on: July 09, 2020, 08:29:42 AM
Seems strange to me that these people would mess up a worthless craptoken en a 0-value testnet coin.

Welp, though they're not super common, I've heard about past incidents concerning people scamming using testnet coins. So I guess there's that. Though unlikely, I would say that it's still very possible.

Surprisingly the most common reason behind that much tbtc would be scamming only. It's clear from OP that he had like 2-3 request and overnight it became 18 request, that itself tells us something is fishy going on.

IDK, the scammer is unplanned one, at least he should have made the request with some time gap and do the whole plot. LOLZ. He must not watch the Money Heist series I believe.  Tongue

Anyway, keeping jokes apart, I would say that its scammer group in my opinion.
3791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Thread For Btc Daily Traders, get 70/80% accurate calls. Edit: Forex pairs added on: July 08, 2020, 06:06:37 PM
How often you are providing trading calls? I guess for daily traders, you may need to provide at least one call per day, right?
(As I am not seeing any regular update on this topic at least from July onward?)

I believe he also needs to update the thread with specific time if he really wants to take it to the next level. This will help the follower to come at this thread on the same time around and follow their trade pattern as well.

Sincerely speaking these kind of threads need lot of attention by the OP, more engagements will fall in if updates are really interesting and qualitative.

I have seen such initiative before but don’t know somehow they end up loosing the updates. They could decorate the whole thing with news updates too.
3792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: July 08, 2020, 05:50:19 PM
I know this feeling very well. I usually trade very less in the form of crypto currency pairs but can tell you this from stocks exchange. In there I usually go for intraday trading where morning it’s time to buy and as noon surges I go for selling though it’s hard to have hiked prices in a day. But many times I end up selling at point where the price was not capped but it moves beyond it at the end. It feels so frustrating and one doesn’t get happy about the profits that earned but starts thinking about the profits that they might have gotten more. May be it’s our nature to have more and more.
3793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain.com - Insufficient Funds Error? on: July 08, 2020, 12:28:52 PM
your problem is simple you are using the rate priority too high for the amount you want to send just lower the priority or decrease the amount to be sent both have to match the amount you want to send

I don't think this is the problem.

With 3 sat/byte this dude will need extra 0.01566 mBTC with today's transaction date. It is tiny amount with what he his transacting. The wallet has balance of 0.012 BTC while all he is needing in the form of fees is 0.000011 BTC to proceed with it.

We can notice he is transferring 0.011 BTC, thus he is still left with 0.001 BTC in his wallet and enough to cut the fees.

3 sat/byte would make up 522 bytes for 0.011 BTC weightage. Based on this, he is all good with the fees and all.

The problem is something different for sure.
3794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 60M$ Worth Bitcoins Moved to ETH on: July 08, 2020, 10:55:19 AM
I'm not surprised to be honest.
With ETH 2.0 lurking behind the corner, it's expected. Especially with everyone speculating that the price migh go up drastically

Exactly. It could actually be temporary investment into the ETH due to the fact of 2.0 launch. In the future, price will rise, investors will take the profit and will leave ETH one more time to gain more from bitcoin. This back and forth investment actually creates more liquidity for both the coins. For example, more clients are attracted towards ETH when someone is making loads of investment into it and seeing the prices going up they will push it more. The vice versa scenario is also true when these whales will start putting money back into BTC people will think now BTC is gonna be profitable, they will reverse the transaction as well. I believe it's completely naturally tendency for the investors to play around the crypto coins like this. It's like whats in demand is first choice of raffle.

3796  Economy / Economics / Re: Rising tensions and effect on global trade on: July 07, 2020, 02:22:09 PM
Quote
This appears to be a political move from one or both parties, the two possible scenarios are;
• The Chinese government is attempting to use the popularity of companies within its region to get public data
• The Indian government is trying to hurt Chinese based companies as it has one of the largest consumer base for their products.
The Indian government would likely encourage its citizens to use local products, this however could affect the nation if this does not meet the required standards.

Both countries are members of the World Trade organization, with the goal of maintaining a peaceful and efficient trade between nations.
How do you think political interventions would limit the growth of companies and affect global trade?

And this is not just speculation but it is actually taking effect. Many pharma companies are now on the verge of refusing the raw material that is used in the formulation of drug products. For example, most of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) is imported from the chinese market because those people have ability to mfg it with bulk amount and thus reducing the costs.

However, due to poor infrastructure or low standardisation policies Indian API manufacturers have always failed to produce quality API which is why it was needed to import.

But with the PM's initiative of using local products may change the whole scenario and brand new manufacturers might start showing heads up very soon. I believe this is just start of one sector.

Many other sectors like mobile phone companies, electronic consumable, raw material will be getting produced inhere so as to boycott china stuff.

This is both good or bad for now, but we will get to know the results after couple of years How India is doing without China.
3797  Economy / Economics / Re: What in the world is AC.T ? on: July 07, 2020, 12:27:01 PM
My extensive google search is not leading to a proper answer. What I got is standardize admission test for universities in US which is definitely not linked to this one!

What I belive, AC.T is some sort of codebank for global use. Which can be used by web developers or programmers worldwide for developing various projects.

Op - can you please share the link from where you have got this information? It may be able reveal more information about it.

I created AC.T ...it's kind of codebank also as you use whatever shortcodes you need for your project ... like making your own linux distro

Just download and install it on your localhost and play with it

AC.T will always be in development, work never stops ... if you find bugs report them on github so i can fix them when i have time ... or other programmers can fix them if they want to help with the project.

And what does it supports? I mean once it is installed in lets say bootable device then would be worth it to have along with you for daily use?

E.g. Can I install any kind of software on this OS (if you claim its like linus distro) ? What kind of software will it be capable of getting installed? from android base / iOS base / windows etc.

If it is always in development stage then it has gotta have some sort of basic platform on which one can installed different program.

IDK, will it act as sandbox for other environments or it is itself a whole operating program / system to support.

What would be basic use of this in long term besides getting it developed all the time. My understanding could be very unreliable but out of curiosity I wanna know this!

3799  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting: local boards posters vs rest of boards posters on: July 06, 2020, 04:17:39 PM
<…>
So it's like getting double merits for the same posts, just into different languages.
Yes, this is happening but we can't do anything about it I guess.
Nor should we. Posts that are placed both on the general English boards, and on translated on Local boards, do have an added value of bringing content over to a wider scope of readers. That is in fact beneficial in the big picture. I don’t think that posts of this nature are likely to be merited by the same person in more than one language, at least to any significant level, so it’s not so much a double merit chance, but rather a chance to reach a broader scope of viewers (which is a good thing).

Yeah that is a good point. That’s why I said it’s better to share posts with some informative stuff in it over local boards and are ultimately merit-able.

......

Yeah, if a person is originally from English background then it’s like whole forum is their home and they have better chances of getting merits. I mean if local board has people from same community then overall forum has English plus rest posters reading the OP thus making it more widespread and should get recognised faster for merits.
3800  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting: local boards posters vs rest of boards posters on: July 06, 2020, 12:36:59 PM
This is so true but I don't think we can have any sort of mechanism to trace this thing. If a DT is told to screen such fowl acts of meriting then they will literally exhaust over the time. Since the number of non-english boards are outnumbered so as to non-english users.

Frankly speaking we can't do anything about this.

Moreover, there is also one more way to attract meriters, you create posts with knowledge sharing stuff and some merits do come along the way. If you are not abusing then everything is just fine.

Now here is the twist:
People do share these knowledge sharing posts one more time into Local boards and earn the merits for it.

So it's like getting double merits for the same posts, just into different languages.

Yes, this is happening but we can't do anything about it I guess.
