3521  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchange with lowest fees to withdraw USD (Fiat)? on: November 02, 2020, 04:36:45 PM
I found this comparison table with some exchange platforms. It doesn't look bad compared to Coinbase's fees.

[...]

Quite good comparison here. I guess Exmo and bitpanda looks just perfect here. Though these exchangers are not that popular currently but their fees are much more competiitve as compared to others.

Binance is will be launching their credit card now, heard this from one of the discussion earlier, so there could be chance they will put-forth 0% fee structure.

I am speculating that one since Binance is giant market and they might handle the fees on their own. You might wanna keep an eye on the Binance CC for that matter.
3522  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker series discussion thread(FREEROLL SUNDAY ALL WELCOME) on: November 02, 2020, 05:10:27 AM
Just got knocked out in 4th, Jayce, arallmuus, and 1r0n1c going at it for top 3. Arallmuus has a monster chipstack, gonna be hard to beat. Good game to all that played and let me know your thoughts on the software.

It was fabulous game! Felt good to see myself on the last table but lost it all to monster!  Tongue

I would love to have such game one more time.

About the Software:

Major (for me)

1. Game automatically logged out multiple times after specific time. Logged out of the Betnomi account itself. It was horrible since you are in the middle of game and have put big chips on the table and suddenly you get logged out of the account. The problem is, until you log in back you your cards are automatically folded and you loose.

Other Problems I had:

2. The game is not getting played properly on the tablet. (iPad device). I am not sure if it is problem with just me. If someone had a play on the tablet and had similar issues then report it so as to confirm this.

3. There is little issue with the sound, many times the chip sound and card distribution sound were automatically muted and suddenly came back.

Regarding user-interface:

The UI seems to be pretty presentable.

One good thing is, you get the tips which highest card you holding at right hand side corner. Makes it easy to understand your house quickly. ( I have not seen on other betting sites).

Chat window, previous cards preview window seems to be too small. I guess it can be viewed in full at the bottom or right hand side I guess.

3525  Economy / Economics / Re: China is looking to get rid of the US dollar on: October 30, 2020, 03:45:47 PM
Well.. they can try, but it is almost impossible to get rid of the US Dollar. There is no viable alternative available. US Dollar remains the world reserve currency, and the preferred currency for international trade. In the past also, various other fiat currencies such as Euro and CNY have tried to replace the US Dollar, but they failed due to lack of interest from countries outside their own region.

The valid reason for this: Import-Export of the foreign and domestic material, commodities etc.

Thing is, not everything can be cooked inside a single country since there is always “something” that needs to be made available from outside your home country.

To make this trade China may not accept the dollar but opposite party will ask to make it dollar transaction or value the stuff in dollar costings.

So yeah it’s almost next to impossible to boycott dollar currency.
3526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Correlation Between BTC and anothers alcoins on: October 30, 2020, 02:04:55 PM
Here are 2 websites, they take the correlation coefficient to calculate the percentage influence of Bitcoin over an altcoin

https://correlation-chart.coinmetrics.io/
https://coinpredictor.io/altcoins

Of course, don't make this your only decision-maker

Interesting. Never thought of any tool like this, however little difficult to understand for user like me who only see integrity of the project and invest. Lolz.

If you could please explain little more about following things then it could be enriching discussion:
1) Network charts
2) Formula builder
3) Correlation chart.

What I see from 3rd one is just conversion rates in between btc price and chosen altcoin?
3527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran Changes Law to Use Bitcoin For Imports on: October 30, 2020, 01:22:08 PM
I am not sure what kind of experiment they are doing since 2018 but use of crypto for imports in collaboration with the miners is just indigestible to me?

The article doesn’t elaborates much about the process except the relationship between limits of usage based on subsidised energy consumption.

Only one conclusion here is: They will not go for full fledge use of mining since for the operations of import which is 24*7 activity and Iranian being small country may not be able to supply that kinda electricity for this operation alone.

Can someone redirect to elaborative article associated with this? It would be interesting to see how exactly this import gonna work in “real time”.?
3528  Other / Meta / Re: How many hours are you connected daily? on: October 30, 2020, 05:22:18 AM
I voted for always online.

Well considering I have logged in from multiple devices such as phone, laptop and tablet it makes it easier to access the forum on the go. Many times just to check out interesting threads, to pass the time with what miners, and project development has to say about something new.

If calculated at actual then may be more than 5 hours in complete day and night cycle!

Sometimes there could be big topic by someone and to read and understand the op itself takes more than 15-20 minutes and to extrapolate the thoughts on same needs additional half hour.

More onto this, if I am creating a help topic for beginners then I always keep that tab open in another window to work on it slowly. Sometimes couple of days at actual hours.  Smiley
3529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow your mind! on: October 29, 2020, 07:26:51 PM
and you know how painful it is when you lose just on someones prediction. It is better you follow your mind during investment and bear the consequencies thereafter.

That’s coming pretty straight.  Grin
Feels great to see that’s statement because I have fallen for this already. Specifically in trading section! There are horrible threads in that section with big advices. I also keep giving my opinion there but always put it as personal opinion and not the one which one must follow.

However, some of the threads are surely pretty good but of course post implementation of those strategies is far critical to avoid those “bad consequences”.
3530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Popular Investing Strategies for Beginners on: October 29, 2020, 06:30:18 PM
Obviously all of these ones are still quite profitable if you know what you are doing, stuff like buy and hold are as old as time itself and dates way back before bitcoin, […]
So, all these methods are great for profiting but you have to make sure that you do them right and proper, if you do them badly you will lose money with ANY method.

Yes, it’s very important for us to know what exactly are we doing while trading. It would be completely pointless if these methods are used recklessly and not looked after them in later times.

Trading is platform which is highly unstable and unpredictable. That’s why there comes the methods which are mentioned by the OP in their blog.

I liked the point where they have mentioned Scheduled Rebalancing.

It could be best shot to keep recovering the investments at every cycle for any losses during the trades.

However, in that case also we may not get a chance every time to rebalance it. Like, we may not find right spot to invest. But surely the plan can always be worked out in detail.

Good blog by the way.
3531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which thoughts and goals have had Satoshi in creation of Bitcoin? (+Poll) on: October 29, 2020, 05:11:46 PM
Start to evaluate, where it might be worthwhile to invest. Or even better, collect proven coins, like Bitcoin and Ethereum, which both, but especially Bitcoin, still have a huge potential, I think! I'm also optimistic about Ethereum, but I have to wait for the upgrade and the changeover to POS, to form a final opinion to myself....

In fact it's already been proven that Bitcoin has shown better potential than Ethereum and its solidity is higher as compared to later one. ETH, on the other hand is growing baby who has it's own "moods", it's playing around sometimes happily and sometimes going rigorous about it. However, it has to be second best choice for everyone I believe.

I am sure, that especially with Bitcoin, in the long run, a 6 digit course (over $100k) will not be unattainable in any way. Whether we will still experience the million... Hmm...
Difficult to estimate, but it's not impossible! We are still in a kind of "early" phase, and the cork will pop again within the next 2-3 years, I'm sure...

Estimations are the basis of our excitement in the crypto space! BTC has always been put up as King with throne of 7 heavens!
Considering the worlds collective focus towards Digital world and unimaginable capabilities of the bitcoin, one can put greater stakes on the unit price of bitcoin becoming 6 digits! It's countless market cap and ever growing customer base can do miracles!

[...]Times in which a lot of great, but also a lot of misery is produced. If you ask me, the misery is all the fault of our completely "capitalised" banking states, and in view of that, it should not even exist. Not in view to the technological progress of the last 100 years. Not in times when people commit a crime, when they take thrown away but still perfectly good food from a container next to the Supermarket, which is intended for waste collection! To name just one example...

And this is also one of the other important parameters, that Satoshi wanted to bring into our all minds, next to possible profit thinking.

I am not sure if Satoshi ever thought about the miseries of pasts since he was man of science and techy visionary, so he might have done all of this out the easiness of transaction. A computing power that can be used for the greater transfers from point A to point B.

Yes of course, profit making may not have been his agenda. But he kept more than 5-6 million BTC's for himself and no one knows the Bigger Plan here.  Tongue

[...]
And what happens now? Exactly, all of a sudden, Bitcoin is being tried to where integrated into our broken and corrupted financial system, quiet and undercover... All according to the motto: If the enemy is too strong, make him your friend... Or keep your enemies close to you, to maintain "some measure" of control...

Quite harsh statement for the banking world but yes true at the same time. No wonder they have already seen the extreme features of BTC which can easily hamper the traditional banking system in no time. That's why many countries and their governments are now actively seeking that mid-way to control the use of BTC under their rules.

[...] banking states are more than aware of the danger. They want to take away our decentralisation and anonymity completely, and "exploit" this really important "Good for our Mankind" as well they do to all other resources of our mankind. [...]
[...]

Exactly, thats what I wanted to express in above explanation.

[...]
The world economy MUST and WILL change. The "up there" already know that! The question is, to whose advantage...or disadvantage!!!???

Honestly, the advantages depends on various factors. What if banks accepts bitcoin as normal way of transacting alongside the traditional currencies? Well that will just sort out the problem for them and us the users. But again the question is how they will do the implementation without hampering the basic rule of anonymity and big chunks of transaction?

It would be exciting to see this in the up coming future.

3532  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: October 29, 2020, 01:32:35 PM
Yes there is close example of this from my biotech based company. Usually we had to spent huge amount of money to train our employees which is crowd of 5000 employees in one single location. You guys wont imagine but they always had lectures of 50-100 people in gathering and this is how they use to train them.

It was costly, we had to hire trainers, give lot of time, ask for everyone's availability. Get the seminar hall equipments ready with low budgets etc.

Now, the scenario is completely different here. The whole system is ran by Learning Management System (though old tech) but new for our company which is traditional biotech ! Everyone completes their assignment right from their desk at single one time investment by company.

So I agree. Moreover, there had been surveys throughout the organisation and this way of digital learning is far cheaper and easier.
3533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe this is the way on: October 29, 2020, 07:58:11 AM
I am not sure since when you are in the crypto space but what you just stated here is the traditional stuff!

What I mean is, everyone whose little bit old here knows this strategy of earning money. Mostly from the bitcoin investments. It's already known that bitcoin keeps fluctuating in between the prices sometimes it go skyrocket but still the formula is to keep the investment as it. When it's down, buy more, stock up the pile and keep holding.

Now, the plan here is to wait for more than 3-4 years which is pretty good time period due to the forking fact which comes every 4 year. It is a time when crypto always hikes a lot and then you can release your stock pile for highest available rates.
3534  Other / Meta / Re: Signatures gone? on: October 28, 2020, 04:09:39 PM
I can still see the signatures. Even went through few random threads just to have an average ratio of signatures and it seems almost all of them can be seen except for newbies.

Best way go through any signature campaign thread and its all there!

How about browser's adblock? Do you somewhat have them? Afaik some of the adblocks detected signatures as ads particularly. I can still see them.

I don't think adblocks has got to anything with the signatures really? Since there are no tracking codes embedded in the BBCode for signature as well as no cookies associated with all the signatures under every users, I barely doubt an adblocker can really work on that "space".How Ad Blocking Works

With what can be read over quoted article I believe it may not be adblocker.
3535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to BTC if just a few whales will buy all left supply? on: October 28, 2020, 02:08:38 PM
There is 18.5 million BTC in circulation right now, more than 1 million BTC is lost or in dormant addresses, the biggest crypto funds and exchanges keep buying it. What happens if just a few whales will buy and control them all?
Yes, if the whales can spend around $248 billion, [...]

Exactly. I was trying to make up this calculation only. I mean come on thats huge amount of money!

This is just impossible to be spent by any richest man in the globe. Know why? Any rich person will always think twice before he could invest his/her money into the market. They do the risk analysis and then invest and thats why they are rich.

Moreover, if they buy all of it themselves then how do you think there will be liquidity in the market ?. How they will earn the profits? Lot of questions before anyone can invest that kind of money.

3537  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Situation :( on: October 27, 2020, 12:57:19 PM
Thats too much to take in one reading! Lolz.
Yeah, those are the chaos which we ourselves created in the long run of humanity. If you look closer then you will see they are very interconnected and can not be overcome without one being unoticed.

The money problems, the nature destruction, wars, overpopulation well yeah I see humans written all over it. The next war would be on the water I guess. Scarcity of it will rupture the whole thing in one snap.

There is no real solution to this.

You can not control 8 billion minds at the same time. Everyone has different opinion and they will go in 8 billion different directions. So we have to accept what it is and how it's being run these days.
3538  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you really need in your trading? on: October 27, 2020, 08:52:51 AM
Then you left with no choice but to go in safer ways of trading / investing your money.

For example you can try for stable-coins and more recently uniswap. In the former one you can just safely buy these coins and get upto 6% of interests paid out to you. This is more or less like putting your money into the bank like fixed deposits. However in this case you get more liquidity and trusted income. Also it is unknown income as well. In the later one you can do the liquidation of your funds by trading your money for different coins at different rates.

Trading is bigger game. You need lots of study and tremendous luck to hit that particular jackpot. So yeah always try different way outs.
3539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 27, 2020, 08:32:37 AM
This is fun question and many people do ask it when they first time get struck with it!

Well lots of research has already been done on this and according one of the article there are around 4 million bitcoins which are already lost in the time. Nobody knows if they will ever become available for use. They are in the circulation but not used since they are locked out somewhere on the hard-disk, or the biggest holder like Mr. Satoshi has most of it and it's still ambiguous if we will get it or not.

Actual Lost Bitcoins in the Time.
Quote
Lost Bitcoin
1.1 million BTC owned by Satoshi.
7.500 BTC lost by a thrown away harddisk.
1.000 BTC lost by the death of the QuadrigaCX CEO.
533 BTC lost by a Reddit user.
2.100+ BTC are sent to this burn address.

This is ridiculously huge amount of money that's stuck.

Surely your will be locked out into this pool as well.  Smiley
