4161  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: July 27, 2018, 11:28:12 AM
We, as physically and intellectually healthy individuals, strive and survive to achieve our dreams, establish our roles in the society and fulfill our needs and wants. But in order to do this, we are also required to be financially healthy. The lingering fact is that money is not achievable as a single candy you can buy in the store. Sometimes, people risk their lives and reputation just to get a handful. Bitcoins are not officially a currency that you can just see in a certain country, that are being utilized and used. So, is dealing with bitcoins and other things related to it also puts us in a risky gamble?

What you are sayimg might have made more sense a few years back, while the attitude of some countries is still not very welcoming towards Bitcoin, its decentralized base gives it the power to overcome these challenges. The market for altcoins is still riskier, and new investors tend to gamble on them, because they all want a quick buck. A huge number of investors pay no attention to the project behind the ICO and are just grasping new opportunities without any required knowledge. So the risky gamble that you are talking about is due to their own greed
4162  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Globalization on: July 27, 2018, 11:03:39 AM
Globalization was told for a very long time. Probably, this will be a new stage in the development of our civilization. This is a new form of human interaction. Perhaps the whole world will be without defenders and borders, without taxes and barriers. Bitcoin will take in such a world a worthy place of the world currency. Developing new technologies will help create a more developed society where there are not very magazine and very poor. Regulation will occupy cars, they are not expensive for the corrupt. We need a new world, it is perhaps a new and unified religion, which will affect all of humanity ... no longer warms, humanity can be really civilized. What do you think all about it? Maybe Bitcoin is part of the globalization plan?

It will only happen if smart investors continue to support new interesting projects emerging in the cryptoverse. I would like to expand a little on your statement and include altcoins in the discussion as well. I think they might just have a bigger role to play here. But yes Bitcoin will be the face of it as it happens. Right now in a span of 10 years it has gone from anonymity to being the most talked about thing of last year, this has led to many big world agencies trying to crack down on it, but it has survived and will continue to thrive through all of it!
4163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: July 27, 2018, 10:42:47 AM
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts.

It's a little hard to talk about regulation and I think the competition that they have brought into the market might just be beneficial for the seasoned investor, granted that they stay cautious. But I would suggest new comers to stay away from them. I myself have always been loyal to one or two trading exchanges all the time I have been here and I think that is the safer and smarter strategy.
4164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex Trading on: July 27, 2018, 10:11:28 AM
The really tragic thing here is that due to the inclusion of certain inexperienced traders, who are just here out of greed without any knowledge has led to an increased volatility in crypto trading. This increased volatility is unaccompanied by an increase in gains. So the profit to risk ratio is very disheartening this moment .
4165  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Economy on: July 27, 2018, 09:46:26 AM
We all know that the development of a certain country comes from the taxes of its citizens, and we all know people who engage bitcoin don't pay taxes to the government, what will happen to a country where 80% of its citizens engage in cryptocurrency?

There is a big possibility that this things might happen In the future because bitcoin is growing faster and very known today.

This is a good point actually, that many governments bring up in order to suppress and ban cryptocurrency. You can see an example of this happening in India, where the RBI has restricted banks from changing crypto into fiat. But coming back to your point if such a condition does come to exist, than the country has no choice but to find a way to make these dealings taxable.
4166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is good seeing higher institutions embracing Cryptocurrency on: July 27, 2018, 09:22:19 AM
Am delighted coming across various news and online posters about how higher institutions in different countries of the world now talk about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. They as far as organising symposium, seminars and conferences on cryptocurrency related topics.
This development is a sign that awareness is now been circulated to the younger generation and to me is a good omen and a welcome development towards the establishing a firm standing of cryptocurrency to the world.
It is important that these institutions do not try to control bitcoin in the name of embracing it. Having said that I can understand the new found optimism in investors after hearing positive news from different parts of the world like Korea and Bulgaria. But a lot of the general population is still unaware of the true power of cryptocurrencies.
4167  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency news on: July 26, 2018, 08:02:22 PM
In Bulgaria, the first cryptobank will be installed. The local cryptobus, DG Cash, announced that the ATM will start on July 23 at a popular shopping center in the capital of Sofia.
The ATM will be a two-way ATM for the purchase and sale of digital currencies. Customers will be able to buy btc, eth, monero and ltc for Bulgarian lev, Euro and USD. They will also be able to exchange btc and ltc for the Bulgarian lion.

There has been a lot of support all around the world, its just under reported. We never know where the tide turns, but such items of news are always appreciated. Kudos to the country for this bold move, a huge step forward for all of us. Hope to see more such news in coming days!
4168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as the preferred form of Money? Sparring Debate on: July 26, 2018, 07:41:28 PM
Peter Schiff and Erik Voorhees holds some interesting debate on the value of crypto-currency. Erik Voorhees is the CEO of shapeshift, Peter Schiff the CEO of  Euro Pacific capital.
Erik argument centers on the merits of bitcoin and can be broken down into four sections
1. Why bitcoin is good money
   a. Scarce
   b. divisible
   c. recognizable
   d. durable
   e. cannot be counterfeited
   f. portable
   g. programmable in a digital age.

2. Why fiat is bad money
    a. Pyramid scheme,created at will
    b. not durable
    c. not scarce
    d. third part trust as foundation of your wealth
    e. not portable

3. Why Gold and other forms of market-based money are insufficient
   a. not scalable
   b. not portable
   c. impractical in a modern economy

4. Why bitcoin will win
   a. decentralized
   b. easy access to financial services

Peter Schiff, acknowledge that fiat was deficient but that bitcoin is not the future
1. Fiats backed (initially with gold), now with government trust.
2. Bitcoin has no intrinsic value.
3. Scarcity is arbitrary fixed
4. Bitcoin is not a reliable store of value. lacks certainty in value.

What do you think won?

It is interesting to see that there is a whole new support towards bitcoin replacing fiat, although the possibility of this happening entirely seems pretty bleak in the present, the ever expanding support towards BTC is highly beneficial for the investors.
4169  Economy / Economics / Re: When bitcoin prices rise up the market also will on: July 26, 2018, 07:18:49 PM
I have noticed it when actually the bitcoin price is rising up the cryptomarket also will. Is that because of bitcoin is directly proportional to the other cryptocurrency? so that when bitcoin dumped the other crypto also will dump? Whats your opinion about it?

Your observation is quite accurate, there is some fairly simple reasoning about it. One of them obviously being that Bitcoin has the largest Market cap, further investors see Bitcoin as the face of cryptocurrency, so when they expect a bull run for Bitcoin, they start pumping capital into other Altcoins in the hope that they will rise with it. Hence leading to an overall rise in the market.
4170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive light on Cryptos on: July 26, 2018, 06:21:35 PM
https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2018/04/25/nasdaq-ceo-bitcoin-trading-cryptocurrency/

It seems as though now that the cryptocurrency market is recovering people are jumping back onto the ship. CEOs are starting to back cryptos and like they never stopped. It is amazing how many people change their stances when their is an influx of capital flowing into the market. It certainly makes it easier top see who is saying what just for the publicity and their own benefit.

Good Luck Traders,
The Elysian Team

That's the way of the world. The media has no real insights into our market, they don't appreciate the true value of bitcoin and the importance of blockchain. They see it as a more volatile form of the stock market, while failing to see the potential of this decentralized system.
4171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD WE GET ALL HATERS OF BITCOIN OUT OF HERE? on: July 26, 2018, 05:52:09 PM
This forum was created for people to learn more about bitcoin and not to hate it or spread false information about it. Guys, is it enough that these days we sit here Angry and here all sorts of FUD being spread about bitcoin saying all sorts of things which are not true???
Let's not forget that it is as a result of these these FUDs that brings all sorts of panic sells which brings the value of bitcoin down and what bores me is that at the end the come back here and say, "Finally bitcoin is dead" forgetting the very fact that they were the very ones that caused it. But they can't because bitcoin is still strong.

The very basic flaw in this whole scheme would be that it might discourage people who have some fairly constructive criticisms about the latest trends in the market. Yes, the number of people who criticize BTC without any factual information is ever growing, but for now we have no choice but to bear them all the same.

4172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading platforms on: July 21, 2018, 04:27:02 PM
Right now, Binance will be the number one choice for trading, for non USD purchases. It supports BTC/USD pair and rates on Binance are best for purchasing Bitcoin as volume is high which removes any kind of premium from market
If you want a platform with  USD support then coinbase should certainly be your pick. You could also give Kraken or Bittrex a shot, but if you want the best stick with Binance and Coinbase.
4173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hyped by miners? on: July 21, 2018, 03:40:37 PM
I am struggling to understand how Bitcoin is going to be used.
I know its long standing coin, gold like qualities, not hackable etc.  But when it comes to how it can be used, I could not find any answer.  High transaction fee, limited coins cause deflation, too volatile etc.  General public, corporations cannot use it.  Gold is different, there is nothing like gold but we have better coins than this.

Will this be used for only speculation, betting?  How would general public / institutions use it in future?

It is fairly common for people to misconstrue the true significance of bitcoin, reducing it merely to speculative activities. The true potential of Bitcoin lies in being a method of value transfer. Yes it is true that it is mostly the mining community that is using Bitcoin for its true purposes, but we are seeing positive news from all around the world, like from Zimbabwe, where Bitcoin is being accepted as a method of payment. We still have a long way to go, but we are getting there!
4174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Most unemployed graduates shy to start a small trade. on: July 21, 2018, 03:20:57 PM
It's always about making the first step! Thats the toughest. But once you begin, you start making contacts, its only a matter of days before the shy university students becomes well acquainted with the challenges of the business world. With so many opportunities in the business world just waiting to be grabbed, it will be foolish to sit and watch others achieve their goals while doing nothing.

4176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: June 18, 2018, 07:42:32 PM
The main thing is that they are eager to make money on this, but they do not know much about the key principles of crypto. Therefore, they decide to make their own coins, most of these undertakings do not lead to success, because of which they supplement the list of unsuccessful projects.

I disagree on that one, I think that they know it very well but they do it anyways because it's profitable to make one coin and dump it as soon as you can so you can make another one.

True! Excessive creation of tokens or coins is just to make side-profits via pumping and then dumping. But it doesn't mean whole crypto ecosystem is infected by this. There are several projects which are commenced with a view to deliver product and solve some online problem. Like Remme solve the major problem of online security through its product and that's why its ICO was subscribed within 24 hours. If people invest in such coins, I bet no one will regret his investment.
4177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto long-term? on: June 18, 2018, 06:32:08 PM
Sure, whats wrong in long-term trading if cryptocurrencies are those you believe in. Currently I am all in for Remme. While joining signaure campaign, I came to know about project and found it awesome. I invested huge amount in it and will wait for project to blossom rather than selling tokens overnight or in panic. The Remme's chart is pretty stable which means token is legit long term investment than merely pump-dump coin.
4178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICOs are profitable, but not always going to be the case. on: June 17, 2018, 04:53:40 PM
guys, i think it is important that we all take special notice on the ICO profitability and make something out it.

These good times may not last forever brothers and sisters.

Wish me the best as i wish you all the same. To the moon/ Lambos of 2018, I toss this drink to us all My friends.

We will be rich soon
There are many legitimate ICO's at current but profitability is going down day by day due to increased number of participants and reward being distributed in large number of participants. But still we are entering the agr of these cryptocurrencies and with greater trust and improved technology they will get success in future. So keep hunting good bounties to get tokens and hodl them for long term.
4179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selecting Bounties - A pocket guide! on: June 17, 2018, 04:34:49 PM
The way you have mentioned the different points in your guidelines seems quite impressive and must be helpful for most of the newbies joining the forum.Like you have mentioned about buy back programme of ICO which boost the prices up. Secondly sound and technical team behind them. But most important of all is to do your own research before joining any bounty as scams are increasing day by day. So be careful about them and try to gain knowledge and experience time to time.
4180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to buy an apartment using altcoin on: June 17, 2018, 04:22:56 PM
Hi Guys,

Which countries/islands allows people to buy real estate/land using alt coins?

I really have not encountered with such news like country accepting crypto for sale purchase of real estate although japan is very freindly country but they also dont have such service. But you can search for brokers dealing in these matters online. So have a look at them.
